My first visit to Duke's and this location.
We reserved a table ahead.and was sat on time. Hostesses and other staff were professional and friendly.
Our server very knowledgeable of menu items and attentive during our meal.
I chose the Chef's burger although this is a restaurant known for steak and seafood.
This burger is indescribable with flavor. Amazing flavor and the fresh, made from real potatoes, fries have no competition.
I still dream of this meal.
My wife chose the Chef's special of the day which is Duke's version of Shrimp scampy.
I had some of that too! I will never enjoy scampy anywhere else now. Full of flavor and the noodles, homemade, like mom makes.
If you can't decide what to order, try these. You will not be disappointed.

Not too bad ol son not too bad. Filet mignon was delicious. Ordered with coconut shrimp also and was awesome. Ask them for bread, they dont give it to you unless you ask for it! All in all not too bad had the Hawaii 5-0 drink. T'was good.. Recomend 5 sure ol son.

Great place to stop and have relaxing drinks. A bit crowded, bit that's typical for California in the summer.

Coming into the area was great. Traveling through a neighborhood, the scenery gradually turned to boutiques, shops and stores leading to the shore. My first time to this beach. Very different from South Padre, back in the day. The area was surprisingly clean, seeing how busy it was being mostly foot traffic. I parked on shore side, walked to an outside bar to get a feel of the area and people-watch with a Stella. I came out and saw drink holders on bikes looking like coconuts. It was a small detail, but it added to the experience and made me smile. It may be corny.. but true. Looking out to the Pacific right next to a pier actually made me think about possibly moving. Overall experience is all positive and Highly recommend going.

Enjoyed having dinner here with a friend. We each had a bowl of the fish chowder, the Miso Grilled Salmon dinner and a glass of 4 bears Pinot Noir. Bill with tax and tip comes to almost $130. Great view of the beach and pier. Enjoyed the Hawaiian style atmosphere. Hostess and wait staff provided friendly and attentive service. We made a reservation with Open Table and was seated promptly at the exact time we wanted. We used the restaurant valet which charges $8 for 3 hours and $25 for more than 3 hours. Valet is cash only, NO credit cards!

I have family that came down and I had my daughter-in-law who for the first time ever in California to see the ocean she love Dukes so did I I was proud to bring my family there we had a wonderful time

The food and drinks were good! It was in a cool location because it was right next to the beach and if you sat on the patio you could people watch which, in my opinion, is always fun.

Great place right on the beach. Great views and right at the end of the pier. Not as good as Waikiki but then what is.

High energy atmosphere and yes the drink cocktails were awesome.

The fam and I decided to check this place out during our stay in Huntington Beach and it did not disappoint. When you walk in, you are greeted with some old school surf photos and beautiful wood throughout the place. Our waiter was fantastic, worked there for 10 years and know the menu well. Best part, he was attentive without being intrusive and always made sure I had a cold beer. The food was absolutely delicious. My wife and son and not fans of fish so my son had their Chef's Cheeseburger which he loved. My wife had the sirloin which was finished with a miso butter. My wife is a crazy picky eater and was not a fan of the miso butter, but stated the steak itself was cooked a perfect medium and the potatoes were delicious. I started with the panko crusted calamari which tasted fresh and had a nice remoulade as a dipping sauce. This was definitely one of the better plates of calamari I have had. For the main course I went with the banana leaf steam rock fish and shrimp with coconut bamboo rice and bok choy. Let me tell you, it was out of this world. The fish steak was cooked perfectly, it was moist, fresh, and the bok choy was amazing. By far, one of the best fish dishes I have ever had. We finished the meal with their macadamia nut ice cream pie. Overall, I would highly recommend eating here, especially if you are on a trip to the Huntington Beach area as it will not disappoint. The views of the ocean and pier from the restaurant just enhance the vibe even more.

I love the food, but they need to put signs up that says don't feed birds or pigeons; this gets annoying while they're flying around and landing on the ground near your table searching for food crumbs, we wanted to go inside but it was full.

This spot knows how to serve their clients. Always with a super nice approach. The food is fairly priced, constantly delicious and clean.

Good food, great atmosphere and you're right on the beach. Only downside is it's a little on the pricey side, but you are paying for the view. I got the beach bum burger and it was delicious! Meat, cheese,bacon and a fried egg. You can't go wrong! Cool place to stop for a bite and a drink.

Duke's is a landmark! The service was great and the ambiance is unsurpassed.

Very nice place, on the beach. A word of advice: join the list to be sure you have a table. It's good, the service is attentive. Hawaiian atmosphere in "surfers" decor Do not forget to go visit the toilets where music by the beach boys is broadcast!

Worst service our server took more than 20 mins to take a drink order and my boyfriends wallet was stolen and the staff was unhelpful and did not care maybe it was taken by them will never go back

I am a burger person and the mango barbecue burger was delicious and cooked perfectly. When your visit needs some flavor I suggest you check this place out. The service was great and the place is very clean!

My family and I were here to celebrate my brother's birthday. Every thing was perfect, it was our first time and definitely our first of many more. Service was great starting from making reservation to the end of our dinner. Food was delicious, loved the Mac n Herb crusted fish. Thank you for making our first visit a great one.

From the first moment you come to this place the personel give you a great feeling. Very congenial waiters, it is a happy place to to go out with friends and colleagues or with your date. enjoyable cuisine, experienced chef de cuisine, decent cost and courteous service. Highly recommended.

I was so happy to get out to the beach this week and saw that Duke's was open for dine-in service. It was such a treat and thanks to Heather... she provided great service! Thanks for being there.

Parmesan crusted fish was soggy with flavorless rice ...red curry awful & all the veggies were undercooked (and I like veggies Al dente) ... They forget to put pulled pork on the nachos as requested and then plobbed out a bowl with meat on the side and then when we very politely asked to have it made properly, it was 30 minutes to get it! The rest of us were finished when it came ...very disappointed!

Crowded on a Sunday but the staff worked hard. Friendly and lively bar crowd. Good was good as always and worth the little extra wait.

Went here a month or so ago. Decent place with good food and good service. I had a burger and fries. Burger was cooked medium as I request and fries were good. Music was playing but not too loud to drown out conversation. I would visit again.

On the pier. Beach views. Good service. The best tuna tar tar tacos that I have ever had in my life. I didn't each much else, we were in a rush. But I would say come here just for those tacos. They were excellent and satisfied my every need mentally, physically, and sexually.
