This is my second visit and it was more enjoyable then last time which was a year ago. Still think the duck and waffle dish is pretty boring and not that great but the rest was actually quiet nice. The view is still the best part of the visit.

A bit annoying when 4 different staff members come to the table asking if everything is okay while you are trying to enjoy food.

I came here during my first visit to London and I was very impressed with both the views and the food. I ordered the Duck and Waffles and let me tell you, it was amazing! I highly recommned this place for the food and the views of the beautiful city.

I normally really enjoy places like this. Certainly the food's really good, and the view's beyond compare. All good stuff. But the dining experience my family had was bizarre.

On the way to our table no fewer than three people asked us if we'd eaten there before. Not a problem by itself, but normally you're asked a question like that with a view to then being told that there's something a bit different about the way the menu works, or the way that ordering works. But nobody gave us any advice like this, and so we didn't assume there'd be anything different about the food or the ordering process as a result.

As it turns out, D&W's restaurant format is your standard Wagamamas set up, i.e. order whatever you like and it'll turn up whenever the kitchens finished it, not necessarily at the same time as your dining companions' food, and not necessarily when you told the waiter you'd like it to come out. Except nobody told us that until we complained half way through the meal. We specifically ordered in a "starter followed by a main" format, and our waiter dutifully nodded his way through the order without correcting us.

We had bread we were meant to start with turn up after what we'd thought would be our "mains". Plenty of us were waiting whilst our food got cold for those without their food to be served. The whole thing was really awkward, and again, nobody ever explained to us that this was the restaurant functioning normally. Worst of all, the paired jasmine tea that's supposed to compliment the signature duck and waffle dish didn't come out until my duck had gone cold waiting for it. When I brought this up with a waiter, he didn't seem to know that it was meant to be paired. I had to point to it on the menu before he understood.

I've done paired drinks at restaurants before and I think they're great. Restaurant Story do this brilliantly. But having waited an age for the tea, it's really underwhelming. It's slightly too strong jasmine tea, served in a comedically large tea pot, that took up an enormous amount of table space, and wasn't cleaned away until we'd finished our coffees at the end of the meal.

But the food's good. If you know what you're getting, I could believe you'd have a good time here. Just make sure everyone going knows it's like Wagamamas.

The lounge side had great service and all the best food items from the restaurant anyway. Restaurant side had inattentive servers and the entrees were nothing to write home about. Stick with appies in the lounge and you'll have a great time.

Amazing food. The signature dish of course it going to be duck and waffle. Need to book online in advance, but you can try walk in after midnight sometime there are seats available. Dress code required.

I made a last minute late night reservation and managed to get a seat by the window with a beautiful view of London. The service was fantastic and there's a sommelier who helped select a nice bottle of wine to take down with the meal. You're supposed to share 4-6 things between a couple of people, though the 38 day aged rib eye was pretty filling. Overall there wasn't anything I regretted trying aside from the BBQ spicy pig ears which seemed like an afterthought.

Top pick: Foie gras creme brulee

This restaurant was comically terrible. I was hungry when I arrived, so everything should have tasted even better than usual, but everything was off. The bar menu is non-existent for brunch food, so don't bother going without a reservation. I had the celeriac crisps, which were incredibly salty. So much so that I couldn't taste the celery root at all. The toffee waffle was cold and the apples were either too soft or too hard. The bloody Mary was so peppery that it was unpalatable. I left in the middle of eating to go to Pret a manger because I figured anything would be better.

Went here for my birthday with my husband. It's floor to ceiling windows so you have an amazing view of the city day and night as it is open 24hrs serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. They have private rooms for private functions.

The only downside was the ice cold looking staff who really could have done with warming up.... We also didn't get our food order so left early..... Definitely go for the view....!

Amazing venue 40 floors up (in a glass lift, not recommended for those with vertigo) however highly recommended for people who like great food at a great height with great service. Quirky tasty menu with great duck, pigs ear scratchings and puddings being the "high" lights.

Worth the price. The food is great, certainly expensive, but you are also paying for an amazing view. Late afternoon is amazing as the sun is on the other side of the building and you can see all of London!

Food was tasty and view is obviously amazing.... The greeters are very friendly but the waiters... The service was bad. They seemed to sneer at everything, even us ordering pots of tea and delivered food in a very grumpy manner. (And no we did not ask them to take photos or pose for any ourselves). They whack on a 13.5% service charge and I really hope all of it goes to the chefs. Expected much higher standards of service for the prices. They need some basic training in customer service.

So disappointing. It was far too cold inside, the atmosphere matches this outer feeling and the food was ok apart from the lamb flat bread which was plain terrible regarding the quality of the meat. But what topped it all was the fact that More

I rarely post negative reviews as I fully understand that everyone can make mistakes at times. But the customer service here is truly horrendous and I would want to be warned before going here. My sister is visiting from NYC and knowing that Duck & Waffle tend to have limited table availability, we rang to check if they might have availability for lunch around 3/3:30pm. The very helpful man on the phone said the best time to pop in was 3.45pm and that we wouldn't need a reservation at that time as they reserve space for walk-ins. We arrived at the recommended time and found incredibly rude and dismissive staff. We were told that they didn't have a table but could wait and have a drink in the bar. We checked in after 45 minutes and the staff stared blankly as though they didn't know that we were waiting but then said that they would get us when a table opened. After 75 minutes I checked again and a new member of staff said that I needed to add my name to a wait list. I explained that we had already been waiting for 75 minutes at which point the first member of staff came back and said you are the only people waiting so you're first on the list - they pulled out a blank clipboard and wrote my name on the paper. At 90 minutes, we decided to leave and I told the staff that we had not been desperate for a table and would have much preferred to hear that they did not have a table than to be left sitting there for 90 minutes for a table that would not come. Again a blank and dismissive face. They have a steady flow of tourist footfall but I now understand why no one I know in London recommends this restaurant - the staff are disorganized and rude. They do not reserve space for walk-ins and are happy to leave customers waiting for hours for tables that will never come. I have never experienced anything so bizarre.

The duck was nice but nothing special. The side dishes are too pricey and small.
The pig ears did not have so much taste which was sad otherwise it would have been a goos dish.

It is a place you visit one time and enjoy the view and service.

Food was great, views were amazing was offered complimentary glass of bubbly to get started. Managed to get a corner table which was very good, front of house and reception were very friendly. Only downside was the waiting staff, as soon as I mentioned I wanted table water to start I got a funny look and post that anytime I wanted service I had to constantly try and catch the waiters eye. At the end of the day you go for the view, the food is good, but let down by poor wait staff (that's a minor inconvenience compared to the other benefits)

This restaurant has a great view of London. A reservation is required for the main room. Otherwise, you are welcome to have cocktails and/or bites at the bar. Brunch is pretty good and duck is the main character in the menu. We had the Duck Benedict and the Colombian eggs. Both of them hit the spot. Also, the Duck Gongee looked pretty appealing.

Make sure you book in advance. Went for a bite to eat after ddrinks. Open 24 hours. The house cocktails are deadly strong. The lift up is glass and fast moving, not for the faint hearted. Overall would recommend.

Visiting from USA, Philly area to be exact. I wish I could have came here for breakfast as that menu looks so good. The dinner menu selection is quite odd. We ordered a few different plates, and the only one we enjoyed was the duck and waffle. Not even the deserts were that good. Great views, ambiance, and staff but their dinner is not satisfying.

Nice 40th floor restaurant with a great view of London. Good and surprising food with unusual combinations. The first time I've eaten pig ears, for example. Should book a table. Nice attire, especially in the evening. Norwegians should be obsessed with shoeing.

The views from this place are amazing and the interior is nice. Service depends on the waiter, we have been multiple times and its not always the same. The menu has quite nice options depending on the time of the day you go. Some dishes are available through the day like the signature duck and waffle. We usually go for the whole roasted chicken, sounds simple but is very flavourful. This is not a cheap place. Overall is good experience.

The scenery is good, and the night should be more beautiful. The amount of dishes recommended by the clerk is too large. In fact, one main dish and one small plate will be full. The duck legs are crispy but slightly dry.

I expected more from the service and the food but neither delivered. The food was good but nothing particularly special - everything was very standard but I expected to be 'wowed' by this place considering the hype and prices. The service was lacking; my partner was given a soy coffee (we're still not sure why!) and it took too long to fix. There was a lot of miscommunication like this with the staff (many didn't speak English particularly well) throughout the meal. It also has a dress code which you're told about when you make a reservation but it wasn't enforced. I found the atmosphere was rowdy and loud (this was 9am). The view is fantastic though.

Service not quite as good as before (slower, wrong number of plates on the table, etc). The food is largely the same as before despite the chef having left - bacon wrapped dates, foie gras creme brulee, pasta, and duck and waffle are great choices. Of course the lift (elevator) ride up and the views are the highlight.

I booked a table here for my daughter s 16th birthday - we were only told on the door that we couldn t go and wait for our guests in the sushi samba bar downstairs.
We weee then told that we had a time limit from the minute we sat down
One of us had a hair in the food. The toilets smelt of a tummy upset and they were filthy - with only 2 toilets they need to be cleaned more often. The food was mediocre for top end prices and my Cosmo was very weak.
We have had excellent meals downstairs in Sushi Samba but would never visit upstairs again.
I wrote and complained but nobody got back to me like promised. All in all a poor evening

A must restaurant due to the view it offers. Food is at a slightly higher price range but still quite reasonable. I would recommend the Duck & Wolfe as the main to have there.

Most of the staff is very polite and they always try to make you feel welcome.

Generally a pleasant place to treat your friends or partner for special occasions.

A must go to place if you want to have a nice dinner and get a fantastic view of the London night skyline. It's located on the 40th floor and offers a clear view of the skyline.

As expected of a popular location, reservation a while before visiting is necessary or you would be left with no slots or odd timings.

I personally think going during the sunset timing would be great as you would be able to see the sunset and the night view at the same time.

We ordered the rib-eye steak which was splendid. The only downside of it was that we were not told that it would take 35 minutes or so to cook the steak and hence we would have to wait a while for it. If you are gonna order the steak, take note it takes a little long.

However, the steak was splendid so it was worth the wait.
