The food was honestly the nicest I ve ever had. Duck and waffle works so well, for some weird reason. The wine was lovely. The octopus and perfectly cooked. The services was amazing - a accident happened, and management was very compliant. Will defiantly be going back

It's quite expensive. However, the place and the view is nice (40th floor), I had the best duck in here- perfectly cooked. Crispy on the outside but moist on the inside. Their rabbit was not very good but probably it's just me not liking the rabbit meat instead of how they cooked it

This is more about the place than food. One can easily skip long lines of London eye and go here to have a good view of the city while enjoying a quality time with friends and family. The views are enjoyable. They have a huge wine selection. The wait staff is very friendly and courteous. Feel free to walk around the area to get a view from all corners. Everyone is used to it and probably goes there for the same reason.
We did enjoy our dessert very much. Duck and waffle was a very unusual combination but nice.

I've only been to the bar here... altho I did have a bar snack the figs in blankets.. oh my god... they were one of the nicest things ever. The bar was nice. Nice staff and good drinks. I can't wait to go for dinner in the main restaurant now!!

if you want a view better than the date/client you've taken for dinner or lunch then i'd strongly recommend this place.

The trademark duck and waffle meal is awesome despite it sounding pretty odd.

The waiters are extremely helpful and will provide various suggestions based on your eating habits.

Tried to book for breakfast since I wanted to have their sweet waffles but was fully booked the week I was in town. With jetlag waking me up at 6am, I decided to take a risk and go anyway. Arrived at Duck and Waffle at 7am - luckily they had a table which I could have for 1 hour (this is not always the case though and theres a good chance I could have been turned away) - enough time to admire the incredible views and down the amazing waffles and side of hashbrowns. The elevator ride going up and down is a treat in itself. Will definitely be back next time I'm London.

Food was nice but overpriced. The waiter said to us on our way in that we needed to choose our food quickly because we'd already eaten into our 2 hour slot by drinking in the bar for half an hour.

Incredible food with a view to match! sitting 40 floors high you can enjoy beautifully made cocktails and the sunset at the bar or sit down for a meal that will blow your mind! the service is very friendly and although the food takes a while to arrive it is well worth the wait!!!

For a place called Duck and Waffle I would have thought there were more focus on the waffle. The waffle was a bit plane, good consistence thought. The toppings had good flavours and was a soothing combination.
I'm general it was too expensive compared to the taste experienc.

Food is good but service is terrible. Got simple things wrong - food before cutlery, table not cleared before next course, condescending tone to customers, not informing customers of longer wait time for certain foods while providing menu and not very attentive.

Went here with my fam, have a reservation at 4pm. We were unsure about the menu, all we knew that their duck and waffle is their signature, beside of that, we were clueless about what we should try . Hence, we trust all the recommended foods by the waiter, a tall red-apron man. He puts the foods that he thought we have to tried, and as a clueless customer, we agreed. Food came one by one, like;
we had polenta, which was great, I very recommend this one.
we had rosemary & garlic bread, which was a big NO NO
we had spiced duck doughnuts, which was interesting (bcs they served savoury dish with pineapple jam), I am not recommend this one but if you want to try, this should be acceptable.
and of course, we had duck & waffle, which was just okay, nothing special, it was literally duck above a waffle, that s it. And also oven baked Cod, which tasted like Cod, the regular taste of a Cod.
Overall, I was sure that I was not their return customer as their products were just okay, overrated, overpriced. Practically, they were selling the dining experience which I admitted it was good since we were on the 40th floor. Other than that, nothing extraordinary. But, when you re in the UK, at least you have to come here once, just so you knew perhaps you might have different views as I was.

This is an old fave of mine. It's right by my workplace and is always a winner on a first date. The views of the city are brilliant and the food is a meat eaters paradise. Perfectly cooked steaks with great side dishes that come in pretty decent portions. Not sure how a veggie would get on as the best dishes are definitely geared towards a meat eater but I've tried a great portion of the menu and I've never been disappointed. It's always rammed in here so definitely plan your visit!

Absolutely to do! I was really surprised by this restaurant, because the food is excellent, the service is perfect, and the view is of course sublime. It is a beautiful place that directly gives its splendor during the climb! In my opinion, if you don't have a huge budget, you can have breakfast, which also avoids (if you want) an entry for "The Shard" (if you want to have a nice view)!

When you see a line thronging to get inside for some food at 03:00 you know you have made the right choice. The food was amazing and this is definitely in my go to list again in London after a night out.

We went there on a Saturday night at 9pm after making a reservation over a month in advance. We were made to wait for more than 10 minutes for the table which wasn't ideal. But we chilled in the bar area in the mean time.

We had the table booked for 6 of us, but couple of them were joining us only later on. The waiter came to us after 5 minutes to check if the other two were joining. But when we informed them about them joining later, he took our drinks order and we chipped in some starters as well.

We ordered loads of starters that we were stuffed from the starters itself. We tried the eels and octopus and surprisingly we liked it. The roast chicken wasn't exactly amazing but apart from that all the other dishes were yum. The lamb keema was top notch. The reginette pasta and crispy polenta were good as well.

I would have given a 4 star for the miss in the roast chicken, but the view made up for it :) Should definitely go check out this place.

I was so looking forward to our reunion of international friends. My friend had called in the afternoon and was told that no reservation was needed and that food would be served late into the night. We finally get to the place to only be told that we could not enter because of some sort of private event. Thanks to the lies and snarky behavior of the door guy what should have been a special night became a complete mess! I do not suggest anyone to going to this place!!!

It s more about the stunning view, really, than the food, which is still good enough so be sure to be sited by the windows, otherwise just the gastronomic part shall be underwhelming and not worth the price.
The only booking we found was for 6:30am on a bitterly cold winter morning but this actually enabled us to enjoy the view both at night, a myriad of lights sparkling in the dark below us and spreading up until the horizon, and then watch dawn break over the city...
Their signature dish, Duck and Waffle, was correct duck leg well seasoned and tender, a waffle is nothing more than a waffle and never much, the duck egg fried but still running... just the mustard maple syrup was too sweet for my taste, so if you don t have a sweet tooth be careful not to pour too much of it, nor over everything!
The Smoked Salmon Royale was okay, though rather economic in size and ingredients.
The fruit salad for starter was fresh. Dessert was the best part for the sorbet, not one more boring waffle.
Efficient service and really polite staff made the meal the more enjoyable.
For once, it is worth the experience.

This is easily one of the coolest restaurants I have ever been to. First off, the elevator just to get to the restaurant is unreal. It blasts you up 40 floors at hyper-speed with rainbow lights and an all glass enclosure for great views. Next, right when you walk in is a bar in the middle of a room with bartenders making drinks right in front of you. There are neat lights hanging everywhere, graffiti walls, dim lighting - very cool vibes. Keep in mind, this is all before you even get to the hostess table.

The dining room was just as cool. There is an open kitchen so you can watch everything being made. The windows were a little fogged at the time, but I know there was a great view on the other side. The wine list was pretty extensive and there were a number of great cocktails to choose from. To start, we had to go with the duck & waffle, which the restaurant is obviously named after. What a dish! It's got an egg on top and is plated in such a cool way. Highly recommend as your starter to share with the table. Then we got two of the bigger shareable dishes (for 4 total), one fish and one beef. They were both incredible. The meat was cooked perfectly to my liking. The fish wasn't dry at all. Both came over some nice sauce with vegetables. Our server Michael from Poland was hilarious. He was very helpful making recommendations and even cut our duck for us ha. We never knew whether or not to tip in London (coming from America) but we absolutely had to for Michael.

Make sure you make reservations ahead of time so you can experience this wonderful place! They are somehow open 24/7, so you'll be able to find something available if you're willing to eat later in the evening. Although it's a little out of the way towards Shoreditch, this is a must in London, especially if you're a foodie!

I was recently taken here for a Birthday treat and I really enjoyed it. I had wanted to go for some time but at the same time assumed that it would be quite stuffy, as in formal. To the contrary the restaurant turned out to be more of a Brasserie with a cool vibe of energy - the perfect venue for a celebration! The menu was pretty limited and I ve had better food elsewhere, but when the views are as spectacular as they are from this place, then I really have no reason to complain.

Magnificent view.

Magnificent view.
We had booked in advance and everything went very well.
The breakfast was very rich and very good.
We had a sweet / salty mix and enjoyed everything.
We had a doubt about the accepted dress but we came dressed simply and with sneakers (day of walking planned after) and we were very well received.
Please specify when booking if you wish to be placed near the windows.

Amazing, modern-style, restaurant located at the top of one of the tallest buildings in London. The food was absolutely amazing, their namesake the duck and waffle was a welcome twist on the traditional chicken and waffles. They have a great cocktail bar that serves unique cocktails. Low-light and a relatively low noise environment make for a great spot for a date night.

Really enjoyed the meal there. The view at night is amazing and it is a must to go to the smoking area for the view and the setting. Customer service was absolutely fantastic and it was great to see that it was not just the 'forced niceness' but they had a good sense of humour as well. Food tasted amazing. I had the shrimp and waffle and my other half had duck and waffle. Tried the pigs ears for the first time. Very good. Drinks were not too much of my liking but if you like exploring different flavours worth giving it a try. Will highly recommend !

views are great, though the London bridge and shard are blocked by the gerkin and cheese grater buildings (in the bar area). Dining RSVP necessary for other views during happy hour. open 24/7!

In someways the best part of Duck and Waffles is that it is open 24 hours a day. We went at 3 am on a Monday morning and it was not crowded but also not empty. The food is good and while it would feel over priced for a normal place, the amazing view more than makes up for it.

Tried to have a meal there this morning to be told that they're not taking any "walk-ins" and that reservations were required to enter. Uhmm....its 0545hrs in the morning. If you're going to be a 24hour facility then be one not when it suits you.

Appalling service. Turned away at 4am on a Monday morning from a completely empty restaurant because a friend had trainers on. Not sure who they thought they were going to impress. Restaurant manager apparently didn't have the authority to waive the dress code. He should probably check into what his job title means.

We went to Duck and Waffle for Fathers Day. The lift experience was amazing. We ordered the colombian eggs, duck and waffle and house breakfast. For afters we had the waffles & caramelised banana, chocolate fondant and home made biscuits. All were delicious. The Staff were really nice. Thank you so much for a lovely day.

Best 24/7 restaurant in London. The bar is amazing, offering great views and creative cocktails. The restaurant a small compact menu that perfectly satisfies your late night cravings. The duck egg en-cocotte is by far the best: fried egg, More

Got all dressed up and took the train into the city for my boyfriend s birthday at Duck and Waffle for a morning breakfast. Realized halfway there that I d booked the table for the previous day, thinking it was for the Saturday morning but we figured at this point we re already halfway there and it s his birthday so we might as well see if they have an extra table available. Upon arrival, we explained the situation, that it was his birthday, asked if there were any tables available and that we d be happy to wait a little bit. Were told it depends on cancellations - which I understood and we were happy to wait knowing we d gotten the reservation date wrong. However, the ladies at the reservation desk were extremely rude and we sat and watched while they offered another group with no reservation that arrived after us a table. We repeatedly asked if there was any table available, were told no, but then sat and watched a table sit empty for the entire time we were waiting. We had to actively keep asking as the rude staff pretended we didn t exist. There was no effort made to squeeze us in for a quick birthday breakfast. I m sure the food is good (though speculating here as we never even got shown a menu) but for somewhere so popular, their customer service is appalling. It seemed to me that the restaurant knows it doesn t really need to go the extra mile for people - or maybe it was just the staff that were on the reservation desk that day who thought that. We ended up leaving after over an hour of waiting, as the staff said nothing would be available despite the empty table we watched for that hour still remaining empty. Very disappointed.

We were able to eat here while we were visiting London. Note that we made dinner reservations 3 weeks in advance (I would recommend giving yourself at least a month ahead to find the best times). Fun atmosphere, very trendy with great 360 views of the city. Order the duck and waffle entree, you will not be disappointed.

The worst experience I've had at a restaurant. Had the wrong food bought to the table twice and then given the wrong bill twice. When the correct bill came the waiter said the machine didn't charge my credit card, so I paid by debit and when I checked my bank account I had been charged twice. The food was sub standard for the price and I would not got back. Only plus side is the view

A restaurant with a great view of London. The combination of grilled duck and waffles is surprisingly delicious. The price is a bit high. Two meals and a glass of wine cost over 100,000 won.

I had pigs ears, bacon wrapped dates and the duck and waffle. Avoid the pigs ears, they were over seasoned and very chewy... simply disappointed. That said, I highly recommend the bacon dates, and the duck and waffle was amazing. I'd recommend lifting the egg off before pouring your syrup over you duck and waffle (it's like an umbrella protecting your from the syrup)

Slack really.

Slack really.
Been here many times over the years.
45 minutes to wait for a couple of poached eggs.
Not great.
But the arrogance of the service staff who think it s ok to serve very average, simple food at such a slow rate with a shrug of the shoulders, is disappointing.
I d recommend elsewhere.
Anyway elsewhere.

I went this morning with my friend to celebrate my birthday in search for a new exciting place! I booked for a breakfast at 6:15 and it was a great timing as we got the chance to see the sunrise from the 40th floor! The food was exquisite! We ordered caramelized banana waffles and smoked salmon royale, with a side of hash browns! I liked the fact the menu was different from a typical breakfast menu. Staff were great and price was very responsible considering the view, quality if the food and the atmosphere.

Good service, Cool sights on LONDON
You can enjoy some starters to share, great

Super disappointing!

Super disappointing!
We made a reservation weeks ago knowing it would be my birthday and our honeymoon. During the reservation process they ask if it s for a special occasion, we selected for both the above and they had the option to add any special requests! We asked them for a table with a view towards the Thames which they should have had as there are many photos from other people showing that. When we got there, none of the informations we gave them mattered. No congratulations, no requested view... only overpriced food and assembly-line work! The wish for the view was very important for us as we knew it would be a once in a lifetime experience and as we came all the way from Germany, it was really disappointing! No matter how successful you are, good customer service is as important as the food and the customer experience can change everything. Once and never again!

My waffles and ice cream arrived separately! Supposed to come together! Ice cream arrived 10 minutes late! Drinks arrived 45 minutes later straws for the drinks were not there! And when asked it took 10 minutes to bring two straws! The waiter was poor, the service was poor this is ridiculous, never coming again first and last experience so disappointed!

We arrived at 1am on a Thurs (2 American people of color) and weren t allowed in because of the dress code and we were told by the white doorman that we were too causal and sporty because of our trainers . Even though, some white men who just walked out of the restaurant were wearing sweatpants & Nikes. I was really excited for the menu but angry at this obvious racism. We re not the only people of color to have this experience as per other reviews about this restaurant.

Stunning restaurant, beautiful views, great atmosphere and welcoming staff. Worth 5 stars if the service of the restaurant staff matched.
Rather than have on waiter, I think we had 5.
The bar is pretty good, being 30 minutes early for the restaurant table, there was no were to sit neither was I offered anywhere.. so found somewhere to stand.
Food was delivered at all different times, so everyone had finished when my food arrived.
Food on delivery was, well, ok. The starter was great, main (I had lamb shank) was dry and over cooked.
Long and short, want somewhere to impress a client? Great venue.
Want somewhere to enjoy yourself... go elsewhere.
