I really enjoyed my visit here. We had a table by the window with an amazing view. My friend and I both had the duck and waffle, which was delicious, and a couple of starters. Would happily have the duck and waffle again!

Amazing dinning experience, everyone was so friendly and the views are great. It s probably not a place I d go to more than once, but a fantastic night out to remember once.
one time when we visited san francisco, we told our airbnb host about our plan to visit a 'famous' countertop oyster bar. i'll always remember his comment he said with a laugh: 'it's always so interesting to me which places are popular with the tourists.' implying that they would never be what the locals would recommend. and he was right. duck and waffle is one of these places. tables are in such high demand that it's impossible to get a reservation unless you do it months in advance. it is a lovely place and has an undeniably killer view, provided you get a window table. the whole system from concierge to server to kitchen is impersonal but runs like clockwork, and they have to--they literally turn tables at lightening speed. but overall, it is completely overrated. the coffee was bad, the food was totally underwhelming, and the portions were tiny. i'd never, ever pay for that food again just for the 'hip' surroundings..nor would i recommend it. on our list of restaurants we ate in london--from dingy (but delicious) indian places, to pub meat pies and fish-n-chips, to hole in the wall breakfast cafes, even our subpar hotel bar--this was on the absolutely bottom.
Nice view, but the restaurant itself is a overvalued. It looks posh, but that's all you get there. You pay for a dry piece of duck which is called their signature dish, and pay for it quite a high price.
I made a mistake. I came here without an appetite. Ate too much the whole day. But look, this place is probably the best view you ll get in London with decent food. Prob worth coming here just for the drinks at their 360 bar. It s a great date spot. Or anniversary dinner. Despite my appetite-less state, I ordered several appetizers with my friend just to taste. Most were amazing, but a couple of them were misses (like the sweet potato dish). Hence the minus one star. But there are so many things on the menu, I m sure you ll be satisfied. The cornbread is .
Wonderful place on the 40th floor .. if you suffer from vertigo, avoid but certainly a beautiful experience .. absolutely quality food as it should be given the location ... let's say that for a different evening I recommend it to everyone ... a drink to eat I am really satisfied with this discovery .. when possible I would like to try the breakfast .. I recommend everyone a visit to this restaurant!
Really lovely experience. They were very accommodating with my partner who has a fear of heights but love of food! We got the corn bread, the iconic Duck and Waffle, and Miso Glazed Rabbit! All were amazing and lived up to the hype. We also had the "Easter" themed drink which came in the cutest egg shell cups.
It is located near Liverpool station. Very good for breakfast or brunch. Of course, try both sweet and savory waffles. Staff kind and helpful. The view is really beautiful.
Great place with an amasing view ower London. The duck and wafle signatur dish was perfectly balanced between sweet and savory. A need to try place in London
Staff lack communication, I was left waiting for 10 mins whilst my party was already seated as they were unable to distinguish between obvious male & female names.
If you enjoy a highly spicy & over priced breakfast at 8.00am then maybe this is the place
Cool that it is open 24hrs, view is great, prices reasonable considering were you are, but there is always something disappointing, just can't put my finger on it. May be they see too many people to give a real personable service
Terrible place with absolutely horrible people 'running' the place and 100% not worth the visit at all.
Go to the London Eye if you want a good view of the city, but seriously, don't waste your time here.
An absolute joke of an establishment, I have no idea why they have such a high rating. My guess is shills and fake reviews. Avoid this so-called attraction.
Useless, rude staff and the food itself is bad and overpriced.
45 minute wait. Insanely rude staff. We get upstairs and half the tables are empty! Couldn't just have a drink, *needed* to order food in order to drink. Totally overrated place.
The food was nice! However my waiter Gabriel and the manager Shrine left a very bad taste in my mouth and unfortunately I doubt I will ever go back to Duck and Waffle again. I have never received such poor service in my life and it's a shame it was at a restaurant like duck and waffle.
Have only been for cocktails and bar snacks but boy oh boy what cocktails and car snacks they be!! And then there's the view! Worth a trip just for the lift ride. But also definitely get a cocktail. Tasty, creative, finessed - definitely an experience to be had
If you're going to do brunch in style, you're going to need to go to Duck & Waffle. As the dedicated glass elevators whisk you from the street level up to the 40th floor, you know that you're going to be in for a treat. In the restaurant itself, you're treated to panoramic views of north and east London - but the views are by no means the only attraction here. Step out of your comfort zone, step away from the full English breakfast, and explore the menu - aside from the signature Duck and Waffle (which is _amazing_), dishes include spicy ox cheek donuts, pollock meatballs, and the fantastically moreish bbq-spiced crispy pigs ears. And last but not least, no trip would be complete without a glass of Marmite Black Velvet - a champagne cocktail made with a Guinness and Marmite reduction. Much, much tastier than you would imagine!
Food is delicious. Staff are also nice & helpful. The Duck-Egg en cocotte is so indulgent. The dessert, Torrejas (a Cinnamon-y French Toast drenched in syrup, served with Cinnamon-y apples & ice cream) also delightful. Gave 4stars and not 5 - couple of SMALL things - it was real up warm up there; also- it was quite busy. My egg yolk was cooked through. I dont mind well done eggs, and it still tasted yummy, but soldiers as a side seemed kinda pointless. Anyways. Would still recommend.
Take an elevator to the 90's. It's in the 40h floor. Except for a bad looking room that looks like time has stopped there and a very bad acoustics, you'll also have many other things there such as: unfriendly staff, average minus food, the service is lame (if you want to drink your coffee before starting to eat you'll need to wait 10 min with your food at the table until they will finish to "check" where is the coffee you ordered. The view is nice but other buildings are hiding the things you want to see. Don't waste your time here.
The view is amazing. I went slightly before sunset so could see the sky as the sun set. Service was amazing. Food was slightly underwhelming. I got the Duck and Waffle and it was good, but it didn't blow me away. What did, was the foie gras and homemade bread. Those were excellent and highly recommended
Painfully disorganized. We stopped in to see if they had room for brunch. The hostess on the first floor didn't know and sent us up to the restaurant to check. At the restaurant we asked the hostess there the same thing. She said she didn't know either and gave a card with a number to call. When asked if it could be done online since we didn't have mobile service, she again said she didn't know. Ultimately, we decided that the view wasn't worth the apparently poor service and went elsewhere.
Wonderful experience from start to finish. Was in contact with Alessandra in reservations prior to my booking with a few questions. She dealt with it quickly, efficiently and professionally - super helpful. We were greeted wonderfully, and although it was the last sitting, we did not feel rushed at all. The service was friendly and attentive. The food was delicious and we both enjoyed every bite (chips were slightly on the salty side but husband still ate them hehe). The view at night was impeccable and very romantic. Would definitely recommend and already planning my next visit!
I was expecting another treatment from a place like this.... The location is amazing but first we have waited 20 mins for our cocktails even if there were only 20 people in, second the cocktail were nothing special and from a 14pound cocktail I aspect something different and the worst part was the end....1 minutes after our drinks were finished a waitress asked us for another cocktail and after a No thanks she asked for bringing the bill....I really think that for the price here the location isn't enough to bring me in again....
Place mostly know for the view, good food, but overpriced if one focuses on the food quality itself. Generally, attentive and good service. Better 'contingent' of customers compared to the ones entering the neighboring restaurant (Sushi Samba).
Dan L was our server and he was amazing! The ambience and stunning views of London are obviously worth the visit but the food and service are really what make this place exceptional. Usually in places like this, the views are great and the food sucks - but not Duck & Waffle. Everything is done with care here and it shows. Well done!
Bad experience as the restaurant is shown to be open 24 hours but at the end when we arrived at the restaurant i was told the restaurant is not open because of private party. However we travelled all the way from other country to here to try it. They did not show a welcoming attitude, customer service wise not up to standard.
I tried the signature Duck & Waffle dish (crispy duck leg confit, fried duck egg, waffle with mustard maple syrup) for breakfast.
I was skeptical of the combination, but it really does work! The duck leg is cooked and flavoured so well, the egg is perfectly salted, and the maple with the waffle added a touch of sweetness to balance out the salty. Thoroughly enjoyed my breakfast.
Service was great - my waiter was very attentive and friendly. We were seated quickly and the food arrived promptly.
The view is incredible, best to aim to see the sunset from there. The food is good but small portions. The duck and waffle is a bit overrated. The best thing about this place Is definitely the atmosphere and view.
Yesterday i was there with my girlfriend for our anniversary. I want to thank you for the unique dinner. Perfect place, perfect atmosphere and perfect service. Thank you!
Really good food. I was surprised to see different types of bread on the menu. Even more surprised that it was pretty doughy apart from that the food was great. All the flavours blended in nicely. It was a bit disappointing that they didn't have pina colada on their cocktail menu but many places would oblige in making it so. Other than that the views are breathtaking and I really enjoyed the food and company. Nice atmosphere.
This is a very upscale and fancy restaurant and is definitely one of the coolest things to do in London. Just the elevator ride itself which goes all the way up to the 40th floor is awesome and gives an amazing view of the city at night. Sat in the bar and got very elite service from the staff which made for a great experience. This place can be a bit expensive, but it is definitely worth doing at least once in your life!
