The food was superb, and the view was great. However the service did not reach our expectation. The table they provided was not clean at all, there were food crumbs on the couch. Not a very happy experience!

One for special occasions, as the sky-high views in central London do not come cheap. We went to both the bar, and managed to score a table in the restaurant, but I would highly recommend booking beforehand, as it's usually very busy! The cocktails are unique and creative - we had a salted caramel manhattan and a pumpkin bellini which was utterly delicious. Crispy pig ears are highly recommended too! A generous portion of this stuff comes in a playful brown paper bag and was perfect with our drinks.

Always wanted to go here but when we turned up at 6am after a midnight stroll on the spur of the moment hoping to get lucky and get a table without reservation, the doorman/security at the roadside entrance was so rude; we were telling him nicely that it s my friend s birthday and maybe he could just squeeze us in, then he replied sarcastically saying Well you should ve booked a table then ... He did not even call up to the restaurant and tried to ask if he could squeeze three people inside at 6am in the morning!

I will give this place another chance and properly reserve a table in the future, let s see if this place is worth the exclusiveness ...

What a terrible experience. Went into the restaurant, waited 45 mins to be served, when the waiter finally came over he was very aggressive, put his hand on my friends shoulder and said he d tell us what we should order. When we said that wasn t the right way to speak to us he said we should be kicked out. A manager spoke to us and apologized, but we were so offended that we left.

The food is great especially the duck and waffle the name sake of the restaurant. Service is excellent. It is open 24/7. But the best thing is the spectacular view of London from 40th floor of the Her on Tower in the Financial district of London.

Beautiful location of course, the design of the restuarant was very average nothing exciting. The food was terrible- we had the celeriac crisps were way too salty, the rosemary potato chips had hardly any rosemary on them and were just plain average chips that were very floury. For mains we had the salmon flatbread which was way too salty to eat so we ended up taking them away to give to the homeless man across the road. We also had the chickpea curry which was OK but nothing special at all. The service was terrible. They did not come check on us once to see how the meal was or if everything was ok or even why we weren't eating the salmon flatbreads. Very disappointed and highly overrated. Much better food at sushi samba and many other restuarants where you csn have the same view for less money.

The restaurant provides a fantastic view on the city of London, a must see. We were very well welcomed and served by a friendly and helpful staff. My friend was very pleased by the signature dish: duck and waffle. My other friend and I shared a 36-day aged beef which was absolutely delicious. It was my first time trying aged beef and I am sorry to say that I couldn't tell the difference from regular meat, despite the great quality of the meat. As a side dish I picked some Brussels sprouts which were beautifully delicious. A sommelier suggested some red wine from Chile and was on point.

I very strongly recommend this place which will provide unique experience at a reasonable price.

Only nice service staff were probably the people at the door but service was quite terrible given the type of restaurant it is. Only redeeming factor was probably the view. Duck and waffle nothing much to rave about; duck crispy but a tad bit dry, waffle was half a full waffle and portion very small. Didn t offer to refill our cups which I can overlook but was constantly pressurised by our waitress to order more.... Because of that, atmosphere was not great and I had no desire to spend more than I did even if I could.

Y all. From one American to another. This is London s BEST KEPT SECRET! We re used to being catered to 24/7. This is the only place we have found serving REAL food, in town in London after 11, AND it s AMAZING food. I ve been less than impressed with overalll British fare, but this place has amazing food, views, ambiance and is open late for us night owls. 40 stories up, you get the view of London- really how BIG it is. Drinks, food and great views 24/7. THAT is an international city. Happy we found you!!!!

The last flight in to the LHR London airport, we were starving. We had 12 hours to kill in our layover and no restaurant seemed to be open but Ducks & Waffles. Although it's a far drive from the airport it was amazing ! It's close to Big Ben, the Bridges, and the Eye. Not only is the view astonishing, the class of the restaurant its unbeatable. Because of the views and the location, we thought we'd be spending a fortune. (We ate from the late night menu) The Entrees started at 12pounds to 17. Make sure to have reservation! We were lucky enough to get in without one.

We had our anniversary here which they placed us by the window so we had wonderful views in London, even on a grey day. I thought the service, staff and venue were pretty perfect. We had the bottomless prosecco too which was topped up often, the food I requested to come out altogether did and they even gave us a little dessert for our anniversary.

The food was a little off, but that didn't put a damper on the mood. I was super happy being there and was very merry when I left

Waffles are famous, but they aren't really delicious.
Reservations must be made in advance and walk-in on the day can be difficult.
It will be a good place for tourists

We have been few times in this Resto, but this time my score is:
2*food, (chicken undercooked! flesh red not detaching from bone)
5*environment (excellent view)
3*staff (limited results , to much politess/exaggeration, they offered dessert to compensate chicken)
3*price/quality (duck&waffle dish rest always excellent l

Delicious, duck muffins are very special and very good, octopus, bread is good, the price is ok at this price, the night scene is beautiful. When booking, there is a request for window position, but the scene is not arranged at the window. Please ask the restaurant staff to help, saying that everyone asks for the window position... If there is space available at the window, can you change it, then help the restaurant staff? Changed position, great.

The view is top notch, the old fashioned drink was great, the food is good but the service was one of the worst ever. It took 15mins and me to ask for a menu, and took 10mins to get the check.

Who would have guessed that a fried duck egg, crispy-skinned duck thigh and maple syrup on a waffle could be so amazingly delicious! A must try if you come to duck and waffle. The Ox Cheek doughnut was surprisingly tasty too.

We booked 2 months in advance for a table for 5 at 7pm on a Thursday night. This place gets booked out pretty much constantly around main meal times. It is open 24/7 however so you may be able to do a walk in at less busy times.

Great atmosphere and experience. Fantastic views of London city. Excellent food. Will be back for sure.

I honestly thought this place would be very overpriced and overhyped but I really enjoyed it.

The staff were very friendly and attentive which I don t usually assume with places like this. The food was a lot better than I thought - the corn ribs and the classic duck and waffle were simple but really tasty.

Of course, the view was also an added positive to the whole experience. When the bill came at the end, I didn t feel like it was too much and would happily come here again.

Amazing views and unique experience. I came to celebrate my birthday and the whole experience was absolutely stunning, not only because we got a table by the windows, but also by the delicious menu and friendly attention.
By all mean, a great experience.

I would like to extend my gratitude for a wonderful evening spent at Duck and Waffle. While in London I took my family to Duck and Waffle and wonderful time was had by all. The staff was attentive, food wonderful and of course the hospitality and kindness of the General Manager were much appreciated.

I am sure I will be back and I wish you and all the staff at D&W all the best.

Reserve a table on time. We were allowed upstairs for a drink at the bar. But the drinks menu is exorbitantly high and has no view. We had been twice before for breakfast which is very nice to do. Ask for a window seat.

For a sky high panoramic view of London while having a tasty savoury brunch, this is the place.

Staff are very friendly. Food presentation was above average. Definitely order the duck and waffle . They did name the restaurant after it. Confit duck leg served on a waffle with a fried duck egg and a drizzle of maple syrup.
Pancakes are also delightful and very pretty. Yes pretty.

I d say the lift up and down is another point for the restaurant, or for the whole building. A nauseating journey but all the while delightful.

The pricing is above normal range but hey, do it for the instastory right?

Great place for a special occasion! Went for breakfast with my family, and they were great with the kids. The view is incredible - in my opinion better than the Shard as you are a bit lower and can actually see things better. Breakfast was great, with a few unusual twists (cheese scone, I'm talking about you!) which work well and make it feel something special. Drinks are very expensive, even juices, but I guess that is to be expected.

I booked this for my daughter's 18th birthday and we were a party of 6. The waiters explain that the thing to do is order many dishes and share. When i placed my order i asked the waiters opinion on whether he felt i had ordered enough for More

I booked more than a month in advance - table for two Monday lunch in January specifying that one of us is vegan (I did not mention it was Veganuary but one would think a restaurant such as this would be prepared for this criteria). Instead there was no special menu / effort made for vegans. It was whatever is on the all day brunch menu but without this or that. I ended up having the olives and the salt baked beetroot without the caraway bread which wasn t vegan cos it has egg in it. the waiter kept saying sorry about that, but this is a all we have on the menu that s vegan . I m so sorry and so disappointed by the total lack of foresight and preparation of D&W, which I waited so long to try and should ve kept waiting cos this was a total waste of time. Attached my critique of the lack of vegan choices on the menu. Ok so maybe the clue is In the name but it s not like I didn t give them advance notice and in the spirit of Veganuary you d think they d be more up to date with demand. Wouldn t go again.

The view is amazing. Food is nice but not so much different than duck&waffle local. Very nice cocktail. I thought we could customise the waffle in this non-local version but apparently it s not the case.

Place is definitely overrated, very expensive for the service they offer. Interior is very cheep and basic, looks like a local pub.... a very expensive local pub. Service is poor and unorganised, I was waiting for my coffee for 10 minutes and then got apsolutely wrong order after that kind of service we lost the appetite to order the food. It is like a money factory, ready to take your money providing very little in return. The good thing about this place is the view. It is amazing view if nothing else.

Delicious food but poor service - very long wait for drinks ordered from the bar (including mimosas). Lots of staff but each seem to have their own specific role only - e.g. you couldn't order mimosas and a bottle of sparkling from the same waiter. Duck and waffle was delicious, congee was also very flavourful. Great place to bring visitors.

I don't get the big deal. Duck and waffle had half a waffle and a literal duck leg and egg fry on it. It wasn't very exciting. However the duck was cooked well. Expensive and portion sizes were a bit too small. Service was mediocre at best. Charcoal roasted beetroot was just beetroot and you really can't go wrong with good old beetroot. Coffee was weak.

Amazing views but quite average food for the price you are paying compared to what is on offer in London nowadays. Also the service was poor - rude staff who tried to overcharge us. I personally wouldn t go again.

Really bad experience from start to finish. It's very difficult to find late night restaurants in London. I was out with my mum until 3am on a Wednesday night and came to Duck & Waffle. It was freezing cold yet we were made to wait outside for 45 minutes. When we got upstairs, the restaurant was almost empty, no idea why we were made to wait for so long. Then the food, average at best, didn't justify the prices and was left hungry afterwards. The service was poor, very slow, so we had the service charge removed from the ridiculously overpriced bill. Very disappointing.

The entrance is very small. Easy to miss.

It s at level 40. Reservation is required. The duck and waffle, is so so. I liked the English breakfast more ~

Nice environment. Cosy. Staff are friendly.

Great food as expected! However, the view is amazing! I highly recommend this place, certainly pricey, but worth the money if you want to have a great night out. I recommend going there late on a Friday or Saturday (from 10pm onwards). Make sure you book in advance! Cocktails are excellent too.

Come for the scenery, the setting and to flex on the gram, but don't come for the food. Scenery makes this a 3* rather than 2*. Went for the duck and waffle which was highly disappointing- rather dry in parts (overcooked), and I would have thought the syrup would compliment the duck, but it did not as the consistency is too think. Portion sizing was small - there were 6 of us and we had also ordered a lot of sides and were still left hungry.

2 stars because the elevator ride was cool. Woman working at the door was not very helpful, but the worst part was that the late night menu didn't even include the signature dish, and they were so rude and it was so loud I didn't even want to ask. Left before even bothering to order.

We were totally rushed through our courses. Our mains were served immediately after we finished our starters and we were then told that there is not enough time for dessert. We were basically kicked out. We were not aware of the 1h45 time constraint, but setting such a constraint does not allow time for a leisurely 3 course meal and a bottle of wine. I would never have come had I known, as it was our anniversary. Not something I expect from a restaurant of this stature. So very disappointing! The food was good and the staff attentive, but unfortunately the evening was ruined for us. Won't be returning.
