Some things are worth it here and that s not necessarily the food. The view is 100% worth it. You see all of London and it s beautiful. The drinks are also absolutely amazing-some of the best I ve ever had. Try their negroni, you won t regret it. Their pig ears are amazing as well (just like tastier fries!). However, the rest of their food is not really worth it. Their signature dish is made with pre-made waffles and comes out cold and stale. Their small plates were indeed small and most not that tasty. They tried making things that shouldn t be sweet, cloyingly so. And don t expect customer service. They let you know very well in the beginning that they re trying to fit as many tables in as possible that day and if you (God forbid) take your time eating, you will be rushed out and forced to finish (or not) in the bar area. They also let you know that anything you order will come all at once or whenever each dish finishes cooking so that you can leave sooner. If I m paying for a fine dining experience, I expect to enjoy my food, not scarf it down. I d say, come here for the drinks and maybe pig ears because that was surprisingly amazing. But the rest don t bother.

A rapid elevator shoots you up 400 feet, allowing you to start feasting on a gorgeous view of London. Inside, you have an eclectic menu filled with surprising treats and classics. Try the ribeye, carbonara, and foie gras, then finish with the chocolate ganache. Super duper awesome!

The clothing is too strict. My boyfriend and I are young people. We wear formal clothes as early as we like to eat a brunch early in the morning, but we are not allowed to enter. We asked if we did not look at the clothing requirements. The rick owens' boots were accused of not meeting the requirements, rather than saying that his shoes were sports shoes. Really angry, the waiter still has an accent, and it's not good to say something that doesn't understand. At first glance, the two of us are not troublesome people, and we are not poorly dressed. A particularly disappointing one morning, I wrote a comment downstairs in the restaurant, and I didn't come back. It s still good in China. There are too many unfair treatments in London.

I would definitely recommend to go to Duck and Waffles when you are in London. The restaurant is located on the 40th floor and offers a great view over all of London. The prices are fair for a restaurant like this and the food is very tasty and some dishes are interesting combinations.

Me and my family had a unique experience eating and drinking there. Staff were super nice and friendly and attentive. The food was exquisite, the duck and waffle is recommended. The view is the best I've dined on. A fantastic view of London, a well worth experience that I would recommend to anyone.

The views are just totally worth it. We had a very chipper and friendly host who was very helpful! The food was so-so though; did not match the classy air the place gives off. You'll need to book 2 months in advance to secure a spot though; definitely worth it if you're in London for a visit.

It's been a long time since I'd last been to Duck & Waffle. I'd forgotten how impressive the view was and it's worth visiting for a drink for the views alone. We had an incredible corner table which really made our experience, and the duck egg en cocotte I ordered was really something else. The service could have been more attentive, but you don't really notice when the view is that spectacular. Booking is required, I wouldn't risk missing out by not doing so, although it is now a 24hr restaurant!

I love this place, was a bit hard to locate first time though and I felt a bit judged on the way in coming from the gym by the front person, not in sweaty spandex I might add, just not done up... but the food and view makes it worth it

A MUST IF YOU'RE IN LONDON. No less than amazing. The view is incredible and the dishes are great. Make sure to book ahead, as there is barely any room. When you book, ask for a table with a view, as it upgrades the experience all together.

The place of 10, amazing views, very good food, the unbeatable treatment of the waiters, they cared to understand what you wanted to tell them, they offered to take photos, the service was fast. The worst before entering we were going with suitcases because we did not have time to go to the hotel on arrival and we had a reserved table, the security very unkindly asked us to open the backpack and suitcase in the same hall, in front of other clients who were going to catch the elevator too, another client searching him as if we were criminals, was embarrassing ...

Lovely view of London, amazing food - would highly recommend the grilled octopus, BBQ pig ears and of course the duck & waffle! Great experience and value for money. Could get busy in the afternoons, so book your table to avoid dissappointments! :p

I have not eaten here but often go for drinks. It used to be better, there are less cocktails than they used to have, it difficult to get a seat, but has the best view and the cocktails are always very good.

I came here mostly for the spectacular views. Closer to the ground than the Shard but high enough to see lots of London. The cocktails as you wait are varied and follow the current trend for a speakeasy influence - copper mugs and paper bags etc.

I was surprised by the food. Duck and waffle does go well. But, typical for a high end restaurant, the portion sizes are small. Don't come here expecting to get rid of a hangover as the "Full" English Breakfast only comes with one egg and one sausage!

Amazing experience dining. Have been here several times for family occasions and it is a winner every time. We tend to share the roast chicken and have small plates to share. You have to try the Duck & Waffle.

Extremely disappointing experience. I think one word that comes to mind is Rude. When we arrived at the entrance to the lift the doorman was very ill-mannered. Talking over the top of us when we were just trying to explain our situation. We had already booked a reservation for the very convenient time of 11:30pm. It seems quite absurd to think that you have to confirm a booking that you had already booked on the phone only 24 hours prior. After a one way discussion we were told we could go and sit in the bar and be placed on the waiting list. We were informed that a table would be ready in 10 minutes from the 'manager'. After 30 minutes we went up to the front desk to ask for our table, the 'manager' asked for our name and was unable to find our name on the waiting list because he was too busy socialising with the waitresses to put our name down in the first place. He then later informed us we needed to wait for another 15 minutes. After waiting an hour our table was finally ready. When entering the restaurant there were more tables empty than there were occupied. The waitress who sat us down enlightened us that we had exactly one hour to eat our dinner/breakfast (1am at this point) and to not order too many dishes because we would not have enough time to eat it all. We ordered the duck and waffle main, for a restaurant that is named duck and waffle the dish was very underwhelming (half a waffle and a duck drumstick). Overall our planned night was ruined by extremely poor service accompanied by an attitude that left a very sour taste in our mouth. Whilst chowing down our dinner we did have a very brief moment to appreciate the excellent view, this was nice. 3/10

Amazing view, amazing breakfast & wonderful customer service!

But you have to make your reservation at least one or two weeks before, to make sure you get the right time for you.

hen I visited London, this was definitely my favorite restaurant by far. first, the view is stunning regardless of how foggy London can get. the elevator ride up to the restaurant is made out of glass, which this made the view even more stunning.

we ordered the duck & waffle (of course), the caramelised banana waffle, and lots of coffee. to begin with, the coffee is super strong with the perfect type of roast. i would recommend sharing something sweet and something savory with a friend so you can get a taste of both sides of duck & waffle. the duck was flavorful and juicy. the waffles were fluffy and super sweet. I loved the syrup that came with the dish as well! I had such a great time here and would definitely come again

I chose this restaurant because of their interesting menu and was not disappointed!
The food was delicious, rich and well presented. Having tasted home made fois gras I can assure that this one was delicious, and creamy, however a bit too much kept in its own fat for my taste but still a dish I would recommend.

The restaurant (kitchen&staff) seems well organized. I had a very friendly welcome, a good place and great time up there. The atmosphere is very relaxed and informal which is a nice change from formal venues some would expect to visit on the 40th floor.
However, I am not sold on the design. I looked at their "award-winning" designers, but I am very sorry to say that I was very disappointed. I think such a restaurant in such a location deserved more than this. Furthermore with the time the furniture looks worn out and used, not talking about the floor that should be redone. This mix of fancy, countryside, modern, cream, yellow, wood does not work for me. I hope they'll find time to close at a suitable time and redo the place with someone else.

They pretend to have a dress code, when we entered they ask if we have a reservations and I said no we just want to have some coffee and he looking our outfit but honestly we are more presentable compare his uniform just a Tshirt and lousy ... Racist

The duck and waffle dish is one of the best dishes I've ever had, period.

The place is airy but cosy, not pretentious, lovely views over London, excellent service from the staff and very reasonably priced. Am definitely coming again.

Delicious food, extremely friendly staff, beautiful views over the city.
It's definitely not cheap (specially the drinks) but it's a good way to pay for the view

Duck & Waffle is an original place where we enjoyed a really nice breakfast.

We particularly appreciated the attention given by Luca and his team. They had a prompt reaction and they gave us a kind compensation just after they discovered a small technical issue that make us changing the table during the meal.

My partner and I will be pleased to come back there for another breakfast or another meal :)

Cocktail was undrinkably sweet, and even though the cocktail maker agreed she didn't like it they couldn't replace. Sent an email to manager to complain but no reply. Seems to me like a tourist trap.

Aside from the amazing view of London from this dining room, the staff was also incredibly friendly. We went in for brunch and we're not disappointed. Try the flagship duck & waffle dish if you're up for it or maybe one of their other breakfast offering: Greek yogurt and honey, Colombian eggs, etc. We will be back.

I really loved duck and waffle. Been for breakfast and dinner. Both times great. The pigs ears... ommmmmm! And tartiflette! The portions aren't big though, but the food is rich. Views are great!

Really enjoyed breakfast with a view. The food was good and staff were extremely nice. Prices are extremely reasonable considering a restaurant in this locatiom would be expected to be expensive.

I requested for a table by the window on the booking which I didn't get but after seeing a free table and asking the waiter whether we could move, they did accommodate our request.

I've been here for 4-5 times already and every time I still feel impressed by the great food, attentive service and spectacular views. Wonderful experience overall. Definitely the place to impress a date or the parents visiting or anyone new to London!

I am giving solid 3.8 and here is why:
Booking required and the process was pretty smooth, the person welcoming us at the base by the door was really pleasant to deal with and the elevator ride was actually really nice.
We arrived early so we hit the bar and have to admit, the cocktails were one the best ones we ever had. Bottled Duck & Stormy and Autumn Fig Sangria. 14 quid per each is pretty steep but hey, that is what you get when dining at Liverpool Street .
Just before our time of reservation we were approached by a waitress and she told us our table is ready and guided us to our table. Really nice touch.
Our main waiter for the evening was Justus, Lithuanian guy and I have to give him all the credit there is, for this guys was really professional and funny and made us laugh more than once during our evening.

Starter - the homemade bread with butter and salt. Amazing start. One of the best homemade breads I ever head. Butter was already in and the corse salt ... delicious.

Small plate - Spicy ox cheek doughnut - apricot jam, paprika sugar - my Gf loved it. The ox was really nice and tasty, the jam amazing, but the combination of it with the doughnut... avant-garde for sure and if that is what you are looking for, you will love it.
The main - the duck and the waffle. Ok, the duck itself was amazing, crispy on the outside, delicious and juicy on the inside. Waffle was ... a waffle... and the maple syrup with mustard seeds - really nice touch. Combined all together though - my stomach was struggling. And honestly, I didn t feel like having a dessert because my stomach felt fairly heavy and overloaded.
So we ordered coffee and homemade ice cream and sorbet. And you know the proverb ?... the proof is in the pudding... well if that is true than it means the food is pretty average because I had way better ice creams and sorbets for sure and even if you try to make a sorbet at home, I believe you would make better or at least one on par with this one. Also the coffee was .. safe choice I guess? There are much better coffee blends out there.
By the way.. they do this little sponge mini muffin or whatever it is for people with B-day. It was terrible. It s like saying: we made this specialty for you that actually tastes horrible, dry and doesn t even reflect the quirkyness of our restaurant . They should either stop doing that or come up with something like passion fruit/salted caramel chocolate duck praline or mini waffle in the shape of duck, etc. That would at least looked like a signature dot for this occasion. The reason why I am giving 4 and not 3 is definitely the amazing service. The reason why I am giving 3.8 and not 5 is unfortunately the food. Some amazing ideas and products, but the search for adventure means you will sometimes have to get through the least pleasant bits. In this case, undesirably.
BTW - don t get me started on the dress-code. Smart casual required - half the people had jeans with holes and sneakers.

Excellent atmosphere! Good food and not pricy. Service is very good. I consider their Duck and Waffles a must try for first time visitor! Overall, very good fining experience, high recommended!

The food: interesting and generally good.

The food: interesting and generally good.

The service: frankly, less than great. During the meal the staff weren't particularly attentive and on occasion we felt like an inconvenience to them rather than valued customers.

The price: too much in my opinion but then you are in the centre of London at the top of a skyscraper so you do expect to pay over the odds.

I only went there to have derserts and therefore we were seated in the bar area, the view was nice from there too. Food was okiesh and customer service was only satisfactory, not exceptional especially for the price you pay here, hence 3 stars.
