This was potentially going to be a good review. The famed duck and waffles were great (though they were served on chipped plates), atmosphere fantastic with amazing views. The starters less impressive. The steak tartare was chunks of meat, under seasoned and the tuna was bizarrely spicy. The seriously bad part. Part of our group arrived half an hour late. Consequently immediately after finishing the second course we were told we could not be served dessert and would have to leave so the table could be prepared for the next customers. We were brought the bill without asking for it!

I have never experienced this in a restaurant before and do not intend to again. This is a restaurant all about a quick turnaround with service barely reflecting the price you pay. Avoid at all costs.

I wasn't expecting dessert to come with my main, but hell, I loved it. The glass elevator ripped me up the side of Heron tower. 40 floors at a heart-stopping rate; the glowing london skyline splayed out before me. A little queasy at the knees, we stumbled into a strange and funky crow's nest high above the city. It's not often you get to look down on the Gherkin...

A couple of whisky sours safely inside, we decided to do battle with the dinner menu. There didn't seem to be any traditional break between starters, main and dessert. Just a long list of various sized concoctions mixing all three...

Wobbly experience for our girly catch up on a Sund...

Wobbly experience for our girly catch up on a Sunday evening in July. The bouncers at the door downstairs, while not employed by the restaurant, ensure to really set you off on a disappointing start of he evening. They are rude and aggressive and really give a bad first impression of the service here. The restaurant service was very slow and the food order and service got really mixed up. But the manager Sebastian really turned the situation around and made things better. His customer service style saved the evening for us and we ended up having a nice time after all. We won t be coming back in a hurry but glad we experienced it and saw a beautiful sunset too.

The views are incredible but the food is very regular. They also have 10 or 12 dishes on the menu and when we went they did not have half.

Recommended to go for the views but nothing more.

visited early one morning (with a reservation) only to be placed in the corner where all the waiters are running in and out of.
Not to mention the waiter couldn't even get our tea order right. Thrice he returned! with the wrong order.

For somewhere like this, I just expected more. Everything else , food/atmosphere/view are pretty top notch.

The Duck and Waffle, what is there to say. I really hope this gem survives lockdown! Brilliant 24 hour* bar and restaurant in the heart of London on the 40th Floor of the Heron Tower. Beautiful views and amazing, imaginative and really tasty cocktails. Couldn't recommend enough!

*24/7 pre-covid

Super nice view and kind staff. Food was great. Heavy taste but that s what you d expect from the restaurant name . Def try the cocktails. I had White chocolate milk punch. It was so good. Remember have the phone ready and take the video when you r in the elevator going up to 40th floor!

Duck and Waffle was awesome. We came 1 day before and was turned because you can't wear trainers. But we made a reservation and was able to get it for the next day. This was probably the best restaurant experience we had while in London. I will always recommend Duck and Waffle as a must try while in London restaurant.

The view is better than the food but then I'm not a huge fan of breakfast. Evening meals are better. You'll find, in order to secure a booking, that you need to request a table for 4 or 6 if there's just one or two of you. Although they have small tables, they're often not available to book.

One of the worst meals in London but with amazing views. The food was a complete joke, not really worth complaining as the place is quite clearly set up for people tasting with their wallet.
Two items of the menu were actually fantastic but the others including what was seared octopus but had a canny resemblance to seared polystyrene were incredibly bland and outdone in flavour by the table water.
Would highly recommend a drink at the bar. Would also highly recommend about 20 other restaurants within a 10 minute journey serving incredibly well thought out menus in a unpretentious environment.
Som was a legend though.

Pretentious place - literally never let me enter for being too drunk . You want guests to be sober and boring at a 24/7 restaurant?! Wake up please!

Not the best meal. Over priced and still not satisfied. Maybe chef had an off day? Came with high expectations left with some disappointment. Pigs ears too salty, too much sauce with steak and the sauce was watery as well, presentation was not the best either. Steak was cooked well though and was possibly best part of the meal but still have had better. We did have the duck and waffle as well but it wasn't anything special. Tasted like aromatic fried duck. Might try it again but not any time soon. On the positive side great atmosphere, view, fast service.

Its everyone's favorite place to come as it serves great quality food 24/7 and the views over London are impressive. Sloppy service was it's downfall when we visited otherwise it would have been 5*

This place is not posh. It's trying to be trendy and failing at that. In my opinion the food here isn't even good. I've had better fried chicken in the late drunken hours of the night. They're selling bottles of wine that cost no more than More

The view and atmosphere are really nice! Try to get a table/booth with a view. Great friendly service from all staff.
Signature Duck and Waffle dish - egg was cooked perfectly, duck was a bit on the dry side, but the syrup makes up for it.
Must try the BBQ-Spiced Crispy Pig Ears!
They're really busy so reservations are highly recommended. Pay attention to their "Casual Elegance" dress code if you're going up for a visit.

Had an amazing breakfast here. Decent views of the city. We were initially concerned about the dress code, but had no issues being seated promptly while sporting the typical American tourist look of shorts and sneakers.

Came here at about 2 in the morning after a night out. The view was fantastic and considering the time, the service was fairly good.

We had a variety of starters and of course the duck and waffle. While the food was good quality, I'd have to say it does not reflect the prices. I'd recommend trying it out once or twice, but it wont be a regular of mine.

The restaurant is located on the 40th floor, and it s one of the best views you can get of the city. Great bonus for the food is that it s serving 24 hours a day.

Recommended dishes:
- Duck and waffle dish is still a winner
- Duck jam donut with orange glaze.
- Duck burger and duck fat fries
- The bacon wrapped dates.
- Crispy pigs ears

As a down side, it is quite expensive. Good for romantic dates especially after sunset with all the lights around you. But all in all recommend.

Best place I have ever eaten in my life...

I say place rather than food as I have had better food BUT never in such an amazing and beautiful place.

The interior is beautiful, such are the views.

The food could have been bigger portions but nevertheless were really nice.

The wine was also fantastic.

I cannot wait to one day return here!

I was asked for ID!!! lol I'll take that as a compliment but again when we got to the restaurant again it was funny questions. Like "before you come in you have to buy a main course" WTFlip! so we answered "Don't worry we leave a nice tip" More

Tasty confit duck with waffles and maple syrup glaze for breakfast with amazing views - can t fault the food or the views. I was, however, slightly disappointed as our waitress clearly struggled to understand my basic questions about the menu and the bathrooms were pretty messy despite it being 11am.

Even at night the view is nice with all the lights, but probably best on a sunny day. The food was great, reasonable price for the location and what it is. Would recommend booking and only going on special occasions. The food is good and unique, the signature duck and waffle was good with the maple syrup and crispy duck.

Always there when you needed them and very polite and helpful.
Food was fantastic and as for the view..........amazing!!!!!!
Oh...and they arranged a birthday candle treat
Won't hesitate to return.

The legendary Duck & Waffle (D&W, if you'd like) goes very well together with the 40th floor view - day or night.
What really surprised me was the creative cocktail menu from which I couldn't decide what to order since the options were so appealing. Definitely worth the visit and return for another round. And probably another.

Delicious exotic food. It s not for everyone but if you love eclectic food and trying new things, and eating with a spectacular view, this place is for you. You have to try the namesake duck and waffle dish if you go!

Oh my oh my, I should have expected this based on ...

Oh my oh my, I should have expected this based on the sort of hype this place enjoys. It was perhaps hip a few years ago. It certainly is not these days. First, the food. The menu is designed such that most of the clientele orders the namesake's dish: duck and waffle. It really is nothing special, I get that it plays on the whole "chicken and waffles" thing in the US, but it can only be appetising when you are off your proverbials. Second, the poser vibe. It is painful. I am sorry, but the rule about elegant shoes is stupid - most of the customers are dolled-up geezers and geezettes straight off a train from Essex... the place pretends to be something it is not. Third, the bar area is actually quite small. Fourth, the toilet was wrecked and overflowing... I dread to imagine what happens there in the insalubrious hours of early morn. In summary, this place is an express back to 2010 and down a few notches on the social ladder. Sushi Samba is the more palatable choice, but the best advice for anyone reading this review would be to reconsider their life choices and stop frequenting "swanky" or "snazzy" eateries in search of vanity. Oh, the view is nice.

Fantastic experience! They bake their own bread and arrives at your table quite fragrant.
The service is great and prices are what you would expect from a place like this. I didn't expect the Duck and Waffle dish to be as good as it was.

You only pay for the view!

Service 2/10
Food 4/10
Reception service was bad, we booked in advance and even have our booking confirmed by email and front desk before taking the elevator up the restaurant. However when we arrived the reception staff was rude and even made us wait before we can enter, saying she needs to check our booking, but was chatting with another staff as if we are not there. However the other servers was ok but not great for a fine dining restaurant.

Food is not worth the price you pay! I cannot believe how dry and tough their confit duck leg was, and even worse the waffle is bland and stale similar to frozen waffles you get in supermarkets, very shocking as this is their signature dish. The starters was alright but is nothing special.

Only good thing about this dining experience was the view of London.

Absolutely perfect from start to finish. Service was impeccable, food was delicious and the view was second to none. We could not secure reservations prior to our trip as you need to book way in advance, but were very lucky to snag a last minute cancellation. What a treat! If visiting London, this place is a must do!

Stunning views of central London makes the visit automatically worth it. Flight got in to London late and was thankful this place was still open. It s a very chic spot- bouncers at the entrance make seem more like a nightclub than a restaurant. Staff & service were friendly. Ordered the duck & waffle which was good. Very similar to chicken & waffles- except for the duck part of course. Also had the crispy shrimp that came on a flatbread. Didn t really like that one. They serve cocktails which is a big plus. Prices are a bit high.
Will definitely be going back.

Good brunch and if you like waffle, this is the place you must come to visit, this is located at the top of Salesforce Tower; quite expensive however. Good quality food, presentation is on point.

Racist restaurant.

Racist restaurant.
Though I made an appointment, they asked me to choose the menu in 3mins. Michelin? Ridiculous
You should teach the servers what is "service".

Racial Discrimination Glazes are self-proclaimed "Michelin". There's a lot of Michelin in London.

The service there is ok if I am being generous, and def. not match with their price nor reputation. The staffs are not well-trained and robots would serve better than them tbh. My main came right after the appetiser within 1min. Def. overpriced for the service and the quality of the food you get there. The view is amazing though.

Stunningly beautiful view , excellent staff, but food was not good. Had dinner on monday 2nd March, shared d and w Classic dishes, Ox cheeky donut and meatballs , too greasy and over cooked. Will not visit for food again, view& service are good though.
