Great place and great building. Good value for brunch in a well known venue where it would usually be a premium

Great place and great building. Good value for brunch in a well known venue where it would usually be a premium
I had the duck and waffle; the duck confit was by far the best I have ever had!
Bar staff were great, front of house abysmal, really disappointing, food was very average as well.
This was the best place to end the night on a high note! I came here at 2.30 am. after going to the Blitz party in Shoreditch, and it was the perfect time to go. We did not have to deal with any lines and could pick any table. No reservations needed! Even that late at night, the staff could not have been more friendly. The menu is not as extensive as the day-time menu, but the food was still outstanding. We had the concotte, smoked salmon plate and the brownie dessert. We enjoyed everything, I want to return here during the day, but it always nice to know that this restaurant is open 24/7. It goes without saying that the view here is outstanding!
Lovely food and the views are to die for definitely recommend the roast duck and waffle
great 24/7 restaurant with a stunning view. i always advise my overseas friends to come here because their food is very good, especially the signature dish duck and waffle and the views are stunning of London. should go both during the day and at night.
Love this restaurant! Spectacular view from the city of London. Definitely will come back!
Piotr's proud proclaimation of the Bacon wrapped dates as ' the best bar snack in london' was spot on! Excellent evening here - excellent bar snacks aside, the service was impeccable and the new Urban Decay cocktail menu really interesting - highly recommend the Tomato!
Amazing views, duck and waffle meal is a must try. Minus one star because the host didn't seemed to much know about wines, also, would love a bit bigger portions, it's more like tasting samples, compared to other places, which is fine, but still, would be nice.
This place has it all: great food, excellent service and amazing view!
What else can I add? An amazing restaurant with a great view.
Splendid views and superb food. The signature duck and waffle is a lovely pair and one only wonders why isn t this on the menu of every other breakfast / brunch restaurant already.
Came here for the... well.. Duck&Waffles after my brother and mother both said I should eat here too!
I ve gone several times. I ve tasted the duck and I am not a fan, having said that, In both locations I ve found that the interior design in the place it s impressive, the details, the view, the service was remarkable, the food was good but not excellent. Still I would recommend the place if you are around Piccadilly or the other location DO A RESERVATION! It is very important.
It was supposed to be a special evening and it turned out to be rather painful.
Booking was made a month in advance (after midnight in order to get space for dinner.)
I was informed that my table wasn't ready at the planned time. Had to wait 20min in the bar area, left without any much advice from the cold staff. Music was way too loud (same for the shouting people). Not the best way to have a relaxing time.
My table ended up being located far away from a window despite my request at time of booking.
I don't know why the staff seemed to be walking and running in all direction, carrying a bottle of wine on one side or a cleaner sweeping the floor behind. I had the impression there was more staff than customers. Not for the benefit of service efficiency. For such high prices I would have expected a more quiet restaurant area.
I tried Duck and Waffle once but I don't think I will visit again. The views where great... the lift ride was fun (rode it 3 times) but that's it. Full stop.
Booked this place for my birthday and was very disappointing. The menu was overpriced and the food that I received was awful. I do not eat meat to went for their vegetarian options. Me and my boyfriend shared BAKED HADDOCK and PUY LENTILS More
Great food and cocktails. Great service. Great atmosphere.
I went there on a Tuesday evening to enjoy a drink and the view with my girlfriend. This establishment came highly recommended by people with taste that I trust, but unfortunately I could not have been more disappointed. We were greeted so rudely by the doorman, we never even made it upstairs to actually see and enjoy the experience we had heard so much about.
Amazing view. You need to Reservate if you want to eat.
Its a club/bar that is open late and also has the best duck confit. Make sure you don't wear athletic shoes or "trainers" or you can't get by the bouncer dudes at the elevator.
Amazing views! Restaurant is out of the way but worth it for the views! Food is good, a little pricy.
Very upset to see foie gras on the menu. Would not have even come had I known. Ruined the experience please take this off the menu! The production of it is banned here but you re importing it? So unnecessarily cruel
Really nice place, great drinks but I felt their signature duck and waffle dish is a bit overrated
Food wise - it's a hype.
Venue wise - the view is impeccable. And enjoying a mediocre dinner in a beautiful view at night with your partner or your friends whilst sipping on a cocktail on a Saturday night can be bewildering.
We had a selection of starters, most of us chose the duck and waffle as the main and for dessert a chocolate ball and french toast.
The only thing we all enjoyed are: french toast and ox cheek doughnut which were both a 5/5. Ox cheek doughnut had a very crusty dough exterior on a bed on sauce. Great balance.
French toast - you really have to experience to understand. No description will do it justice. Other than that, the duck was very dry, salmon over-presented for what it tasted like, beef ta-tare average.
If you're visiting London or live in London, I suggest you visit it for the "experience" but definitely not one of those places where you repeatedly dine.
Good food, staff were attentive though they did come over at the least timely points. Overall good experience!!
Expensive and slow service, but my goodness, what a view!
Love it here! Amazing atmosphere, from start to finish really good service. The waiters were super friendly and always checked up on us. The food tastes as good as it looks! The views at night were really the highlight. Highly recommend.
Considering the quality of the view this is very reasonably priced. My recommendation is to go and ask for a table. You'll have to wait but then go to sushi samba and have a drink while you wait
So tasty...if you like sweet and savoury combination you must try the food all together with great view!
A restaurant in the sky. A great place to go for a treat with amazing views over London, you can play spot the the landmark whilst eating some extremely tasty food. Very attentive staff and good service means that it won't be long before I visit again.
So rude said I was drunk and not allowed in on a Friday night after 3 beers in the city. Completely don't understand .
Very nice selection of delicious sharing plates, and a decent wine list. But you obviously pay for the location. Some people might be put off by the trendy vibe.
I have my team drink in the bar area of Duck and Waffle, which is very nice place for a small team gathering. The only suggestion is that you have to go there early for drink only, otherwise, you have to wait in the long queue for drink.
Amazing experience, incredible views of the city, great food, great drinks. A must on any visit to London
Lovely food although very much on the small side and very expensive for what it is. Awesome views. So why am I giving such a low rating...because the service was shocking. You wait forever to get served and one of our drinks came with broken glass in it! So that might be a complete accident but NO, the person getting the drinks was seen trying to fish the broken glass pieces out of the drink before serving. Why they wouldn't just throw it away and get a fresh one I have no idea. This potentially could have been very dangerous had the lady drunk the drink.
Such a beautiful restaurant. Definitely worth visiting for the amazing service, terrific food and, most importantly, the view over London. I celebrated my birthday at Duck & Waffle and the waiters even surprised me at the end of my lunch with a little treat. Very generous and sweet!
It's open 24 hours but I've heard mixed reviews of people trying to go here at 4am and being turned away. Saturday brunch is the best time to go but you need to book weeks in advance.
Even at 2 a.m we had to wait for more than an hour to get a table. We were waiting near the "reservation booth" where people enter to get to the restaurant and we saw people that came in after us getting a table before us. Because we weren't "fancy " enough or I don't know, I feel like we weren't treated the same. The food was ok, nothing very special. The positive point is the view of course. It's very impressive and coming at night was so amazing. The cocktails were very uncommon but also good
Had fab time last weekend over for a dinner. Maki rolls were on point but had to wait about 40min to go in but well worth it.
The food was presented beautifully and tasted amazing. The views were perfect especially as the sun was setting. The lift was so fun, a good way to start the evening
This is one of the best places in Europe to visit ;) Frendly staff very good food and spectacular view of London open 24/7 the best ;)
Have been here many times. Come here usually for my birthday and whenever I have friends visiting London. View is amazing, food is great (the duck and waffle is an obvious must) and the service has always been friendly, attentive and fast. The last time I came here though I ended up with an upset stomach afterwards (as did some of the people I came with). Hoping this was a one off! Overall I would definitely recommend.
Terrible door service. Rude, obnoxious and disinterested.
Dramatic view - fairly overpriced tho for late 90s inspired hotel food (bacon wrapped blah blah...)
Very impressive view from top to London. Food is pretty good, nice to start a day with breakfast, pretty pricy as well.
All I can say is that the restaurant has amazing view. Forget the food taste because it is not worth it. The staff are rude except one woman we met in the morning.
The signature dish duck and waffle is just fine. But city landscape view from the restaurant is amazing.
Restaurant not treasure customers at all.
The gentleman at the reception has the worst service mentality in London. We attempted to walk-in to dinner, this gentleman told me they don t take any more tables other than those reserved before. Or else, he suggested I wait until 11:30pm for the late night menu when I arrived at the reception at 9:15. I seated at the bar area, ordered a cocktail and I checked from online, they have table opening for booking from 9:30pm to 11:00pm... I booked at 9:30pm for the 9:30pm, I showed this gentleman my reservation, he took 15mins to arrange a table for me when there are like 4-5 tables around me vacant.
How dare you ask me to wait until 11:30pm for late night menu when you have nothing sold out and empty tables all around???
Food is average not that remarkable. The ambience is very noisy...
In the top! The view of the city is amazing, the waffles are delicious. Remember to book. Small downside against the cancellation policy of reservation which is very strict for a restaurant, it may be cultural but I think it is abused because in case of unforeseen you will be charged 50 pounds ... I therefore recommend if you are sure you can go there. It's a must in London.
The food here is great! It is expensive but worth it for a special occasion. The view of London alone is lovely and if you don t fancy the high prices for food you can always just go up to the bar for a drink and take on the view.
Nice selection of drinks and the rabbit was not bad. But the pig ear starter was so over fired and the ravioli was so so salty.
Queues are a drag here. Food is decent. Staff are busy busy busy. But I guess that's to be expected as this place is always packed and very touristy.
Very unique and tasty! The tea that came with the duck&waffle is lovely!! Staff are friendly and accommodating.
Great view. Textures in the good were great. Flavour a little flat. Service well below what you'd expect given the prices.
Wasn't allowed in because i was in my trainers. What a poncy place. I'll go elsewhere.
As usual, we ordered too much. Our ranking for the things we ordered:
#2 the octopus with chorizo
#3 the duck and waffle
#4 ox cheek doughnut
Minus a star cause it was quite pricey. I think you pay a bit extra for the view.
Mediocre food. Go for a drink and the view. We had very good service but the food was 'butter on bacon' as they say. Every dish was missing a little something and for the front they present and prices they charge, you should expect more. Very cool spot however.
Fantastic . Enfact I don't even have any thing else to say
RSVP first! Amazing view from this place is an understatement.
AWEFUL SERVICE EVER! AVOID!
Last night I went there with my friends for dinner.
In the beginning, I spotted the wine glass in front of me wasn't clean.
The stain looked like from the previous customer's lip print. Gross. So I asked the waitress to replace another glass and she said "Are you going to have wine?"
Apparently she can't be bother to change another one. Then she exchanged the glass and poured water for us. When she was putting the wine glasses in front of my friend, she knock over the water glass and the all water went on me!!! Very clumsy!
She used tissue to mop the floor then put the dirty and wet tissue on the chair and put our shopping bags on it. TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE!
Afterwards, her manager came to apologize and didn't manager this well. She said she can ONLY offered us prosecco. Well we did't want to take advantage of this but their attitudes were so bad. Whole staff need proper trainings for sure! AVOID and NEVER COME AGAIN!
It is worth it for the views, in terms of quality price ... better not to speak.
We were waiting to sit for 25 minutes, having a reservation!
And between courses it took 40 minutes!
The treatment with the waiters was very pleasant.
Such a hyped up place that I booked three months in advance. Got a threatening email to be on time and we ended up waiting for over an hour... By the end of the meal they came up to us and thought they were going to apologize about the wait but instead they were warning us that they're kicking us out. Waited for ever to get our coats back we had to end up getting them ourselves. In terms of food my friend hates runny eggs so specifically asked for a hard egg and even that didn't come the way we asksd. So disappointed after this wait, and with so many great places to do in London this falls really low on the list now and I definitely won't be back
At the entrance I had to throw away my apples and chocolate before I could go up. I asked if they could keep it for me and put them on the side. We hadn't made a reservation but we were told it was possible to get a table. Two hours and two drinks later we were still not served. No one of the staff approached us to let us know what the status was. After two and a half hours we left. At the entrance I looked for my food but they had thrown it in the bucket. The security didn't even say good bye when we left. What a disappointment.
Great view of the city, food was good and surprisingly well priced for the location! Highly recommended :)
Food cooked to perfection. Great cocktails and very attentive friendly staff.
Table wasnt ready for 40 minutes after the booking time. Courses were extremely slow with at least 1 hour gap between courses. Completely unable to cope when the restaurant was busy.
In love with this place . The ambience, the view and the atmosphere are wonderful , the food is always freshly made and served at reasonable prices and prompt service as well.
Superb food but I expect better level of service for this price range. Staff were extremely slow to respond and they were not even that busy...
The prices are not cheap, but the view (40 stories) is amazing, good service
Obviously nice and well known.
Great food and views
Simply fantastic.
Service could have been better though.
The 5 stars deserve it for the location and for the beautiful view.
Good dishes
Great cocktails
For a tourist, a highly recommended passage
Pricey but really excellent food with a fantastic view of the city. Varied menu with dishes you don't see often such as Cornish crab. Would recommend a reservation in advance as it is usually very busy.
Good service, great views. Food is well presented. Nice open kitchen with friendly staff.
Firstly, no Air Conditioning which the staff tried to combat by lowering all the blinds.....which blocks the view which is one of the reasons you come here!!!!
Secondly, the service was very inattentive and we felt like we were on a conveyor belt. Whilst normally happy to pay the discretionary service charge, we refused to pay on this occasion. One would normally expect a good restaurant to enquire as to feedback and understand what went wrong but instead the waiter gave us a bad look and walked off...! One of Our group spoke to the manager on our exit but he didn t properly respond or seem interested in the situation in our view.
This was a birthday celebration and was not a good one.
Perhaps D&F are focussed on transactional tourist business rather than repeat business which is a surprise given the number of restaurants closing at the moment.
Overall, whilst having been here over the years, we won t be returning.
I went on a Friday night and was told there were no tables available for the rest of the night...at a 24 hour restaurant. When I mentioned that it s 24 hours so this isn t possible, the host told me that the wait was 2 hours. To me, I felt I was basically told to go away when I would have waited a couple hours. I was sincerely offended by this and will never try this place again or recommend it. Good luck.
