The restaurant is located in the 40th floor of the building. There is panorama view top of london . The clear curtain wall window are around your table . You can see the bird eye view perspective 360 degree around the city . The food is quality. For me roasted chicken is the best . The duck and waffle are must menu to order and need to try . Food served very fast and great service . A lot of wine lists . One of the food experience in london that should not miss .

Amazing meal with panoramic views of London! The best damn lentils I've ever had... Apparently every bowl of lentils I've tasted up to now has been grossly overcooked. The staff was attentive without being overbearing and did everything More

We came on a Monday for an early lunch, and whilst there is a lot to like about Duck & Waffle, it doesn't meet the 5 star bar for me. The best bits are the definitely the duck and waffle, don't dream of coming and not eating it, and make sure you order enough for your whole party. The place is high up so you can see very far, but the restaurant doesn't face in the best direction. The decor is nice though. Downsides for me were the service. It took us a very long time to get seated despite plenty of staff and tables free. Also, the non-duck dishes were hit and miss, we had lamb which was really chewy and rather poor. Do come, but focus on the duck!

Modern fresh mediteranean styled restaurant overlooking Liverpool Street Station with great views and service styled on wahaca's i.e. you get each course when it's ready. Great location for lunch.

The food is excellent but that's reflected in the price. The atmosphere is average and not all seating gets a good view of the city. They could do with a few more staff so that the service and cleanliness is improved.

Great views over London and cocktails are really good. They do other cocktails that aren't on the menu too - just ask! This is a place I always brings overseas colleagues when in London

Owww that food and that view though but make sure to book early enough. I did it 2 months before and it was already quite full. We had our honeymoon in London and that's what I've mentioned at the online booking and at the end we receveied a little surprise it was lovely!

Had the best time celebrating my mum's and my birthday. I was very gently accommodated in the table I asked for when it became available, so my mum could enjoy views over Tower Bridge, Canary Wharf and the Gherkin. We had water, tea, juice and Duck & Waffles, and everything was prepared to perfection. I can honestly say that the staff improved the experience. I can't fault a simple thing: location, food and staff were all great, and the price was really reasonable for the whole package. I strongly recommend visiting this place.

Great place, very nice waiters.

Great place, very nice waiters.
Recommendation: Go on a weekday at 4 a.m. and you will propably find the place rather empty & Beautiful pre-sunrise.

I had dinner at the restaurant and was able to get a last minute reservation the day before despite trying a month prior to my trip. I tried several dishes including the Duck and Waffle which turned out to be one of my favorites. I am a big fan of bacon wrapper dates and the ones I tried at this restaurant did not disappoint. Price was on the high side and more expensive for a meal for two which consisted of 2 small plates, bread, 2 entrees and wine, but it was well worth it in the end.

Pricey but the duck & waffle are actually work so well. The atmosphere is wonderful as on the 40 floor. The staff arranged a good seat for us, so we could eating a breakfast with a great view.

Views are automatically a plus, but the chaotic service (3 different waiters all coming to our tables in 5min intervals for any kind of order which resulted in many drinks arriving twice or never showing up at all) is disappointing for a restaurant of this reputation. We went there for a double birthday, and they had the audacity to give us the dessert menu, take our order, and then come back 10min later telling us that it was 'too late' to order dessert as we had to give the table back in 35 minutes. They didn't even suggest moving us to a table at the bar (we had to grab one ourselves) and just made the two birthday guests feel down. Food is fine, nothing special.

I would say you pay for the view rather than the food as is pricey for what it is. Food is good but nothing to call home about. I have been a few times and the staff I find obnoxious which is poor. Have tried various items on the menu, bacon wrapped figs were good.

If I could give 3 1/2 stars I would. Food was good quality and tasty but overpriced and with really ordinary service - the staff were definitely the weak point in the restaurant. Good view but not worth the money and snotty staff.

A little pricey, but 100% worth it. The staff was super friendly, the food was amazing, and the view was breathtaking. Highly recommend if you're looking for a nice upscale dinner, this is it.

Was excited to try this place on our UK holiday however unfortunately can't comment on the quality of the food because our booking was cancelled which we would have been understanding about if the staff had not been so rude and dismissive. We were told we could wait for an available table but they couldn't give any indication of how long it would take or if they would even take us in at all. Left disappointed but enjoyed a nice meal elsewhere.

Amazing views of the city to dine with. I went for breakfast to celebrate my boyfriends 30th birthday and wasn't disappointed. Had a slight issue with the booking system initially but thankfully it was resolved. We were greeted by friendly and attentive staff. Would describe it as a "less touristy" sky garden. Yes, it was on the pricier side, but worth every penny, will definitely be back!

This is the first time I visit duck & waffle with my wife. The service is great and the food is delicious.it will be better if I check the bill before paying since I just found out I pay the wrong bill which costed me an extra 93 pounds . In which the restaurant billed me with sth I haven't order. I can't blame them tho cause that's my fault. But be remind to check the bills before paying every time.

It seems that everyone and their cat has been to Duck & Waffle, the bar and restaurant 40 feet high above the city that's open 24 hours. Everyone other than me. I'd been to the fantastic Sushi Samba the floor below on a date but had yet to head upstairs and sample the diurnal delights. Until now. After hitting up The Empress for a birthday meal, my friend Harry and I weren't quite ready to call it a night and a spontaneous decision based on it being 2am in the morning saw us haring over to the Heron Tower in a cab and being whisked upstairs in the blink of an eye. We were just after drinks and were happily ensconced by one of the many windows whilst we sipped on what has to be one of the best cocktails I've ever tasted. The Marmite Black Velvet is a silky little number - a Guinness and marmite reduction served with champagne - that was so inexplicably sumptuous and moreish, I had to order a second. Harry went for the Dark & Stormy twice that comes in a brown paper bag for all your prohibition needs. But two each at two in the morning was enough for both of us and so we called it a night, but not before vowing to return and sample the rest of the ingenious creations on the list.

It didn't quite meet my expectations. Even though i had a reservation they still made me wait almost 10 minutes for my table and although the vew is indeed very nice, they don't have many food choices for breakfast. Especially there are no healthy options with e.g. Waffles with Berries and yogurt but only with vanilla ice cream or then meat options which i think are both not very suited for breakfast. The staff is nice. The bar looks very lovely so I would suggest going there for drinks rather than the food because the bar room is decorated and the restaurant is just plain with standard tables and almost no decoration.

Worth a visit. The starters were extremely tasty. Their signature dish and eponym, however, was a little less exquisite. What really could have made this rating a lot worse is the odyssee of mistakes we experienced (Spoiler: they were handled well after talking to the chef de service). First, the sommelier mixed our wine with the wine of our neighbours' table. Since it was the last bottle, he suggested a new wine. Cheaper, and not as good as the initial one. They still put the more expensive wine on the bill though. Then, I had to wait for 15 minutes for my duck & waffle to arrive. My friends had almost finished their main dish by then. They apologised. And after talking to the chef de service, they only charged the cheaper wine and did not bill my main course. So all good in the end.

Food is delicious but some of the staff really let down the restaurant, the lady staff at downstair before u take the lift up has really bad attitude, served us with an unhappy, impatient face. While at upstair we had to raise our hands to call for order a few times before someone finally comes to take our
Order.i feel its a bit overrated.

Best breakfast ever. Waffle with braised duck leg and a poached egg with hollandaise on top. Explosion of Taste in your mouth. The menu offers also sweet waffles and healthy bowls as well as the typical English breakfast. The tea and coffee was also very good and this is a must for everybody who wants to have nice breakfast in London. Definitely will come back here many times !!!

Stunning views of London and can get some great panoramic shots. I visited for brunch and enjoyed it, I tried their signature dish the duck and waffle. It was good, but not exceptional. It is expensive and you're paying for the experience of being up up 44 floors. Staff were rude towards my friend, who spilled a drink over her and gave no apology.

We came here for breakfast. I reserved a long time before and when we arrived apparently the reservation was cancelled without informing me (apparently i was called, but i did not receive any messages). The girl downstairs called up to the restaurant and we were still given a table. The service was very friendly and professional and the view of london is amazing. Unfortunately the tea pairing with the duck came a bit late (after i finished the duck) and there was no orange juice or bread available. I ordered the duck and waffle which was nice and well prepared, but not extraordinary, especially for the price.

Two stars only because of the place and the view are nice. Cocktails are expensive and definitely not pleasant to drink. Service is awful. We have waited half an hour to have cocktails but right after I've taken the last sip on the drink they asked me if either I wanted another round or I wanted the bill. For the price I'm paying I want to be able to relax a bit and enjoy the view, even if I've finished my drink. I even had to asked the permit to the waiter to use the ladies before paying as not even the time to look at the check they were ready to collect the money. You don't put pressure on clients guys, we're not running away without paying. I won't come back.

We originally wanted to book for brunch, but even though I booked on the day the date was released, all brunch slots were already taken so we had to settle for an 8am breakfast slot.

The entrance is understated and easy to miss - just look out for the small rope barrier. Our first check in was downstairs and we were directed to the express lift. Now, if you are not good with heights, this may be an issue for you and I don't know if there is another way to get to the 40th floor - the lift is glass, and although not on the outside of the building, the outside of the building is also glass so it has a similar affect. Luckily it's only a 30 second or so journey.

Once at the 40th floor, the lift opens into what feels like a service corridor, which also contains the toilets. We first came to the cocktail bar and we're directed to the main entrance to the restaurant where we checked in again. We were early for our slot but we were taken straight through to our table.

The view from the 40th floor is quite something despite the weather, and we were quite lucky as sunrise was just after our slot.

The waiter quickly brought us water and took our order - I went for the House Breakfast and my friend the signature Duck and Waffle. The coffee and cocktails came out quite quickly and the breakfasts not long after that.

My breakfast was great - perfectly cooked poached eggs, bacon with just the right amount of crispness, and a lovely hash brown with spring onions in it. The Lincolnshire sausage was nice and herby without being overpowering.

My friend's Duck and Waffle looked amazing, and he rated it as such.

We didn't feel rushed despite only having an hour for breakfast, and the waiter provided excellent service. Although the quality of the food was good, I did feel that some of the cost in the bill was probably attributed to the amazing view.

Returned after three years and the food is amazing! There were new dishes, the seabass was lovely, along with the steak and duck!! They changed the dessert menu (no more peanut butter ice cream) not for the better..! Please improve the desserts!!

Second time here. Last time had a reservation.
This time Walk in at 9am for breakfast. Managed to get a tables restaurant was 3/4 full house. The signature duck and waffle is delicious. The view is fantastic. Good clear view of London City. Highly recommended.

We were belittled to a degree for not having reservations for brunch on a Monday. We said we would wait and have a drink. Then when we did get a table for one hour only due to a "cancellation" we were given a menu, which consisted of not the most pleasing items. We said that were we just going to have our drinks and go. The waiter said ok and then went and tattled on us to the Maitre'd. He then asked us to go back to the bar or order food. They act quite uppity and rude for a place that serves sub par food. Plus the building is just tall. It doesnt even rotate like The Towers of America.

The food was honestly really really nice ! Duck and waffle actually works so well together. At first I was a bit reluctant about it but it tastes amazing. The sommelier was also really helpful with the wines, the one we had was lovely. Cocktails were also amazing ! The service was perfect and up to standard. We had a table close to the window, splendid views ! I loved the experience and I will definitely come back.

Big fan of the crispy pigs ears. Shared the classic dishes D&W, Ox cheeky donut and pollock meatballs. These did not mix. Tired tables, ridiculously priced drinks. The cloud cleared to reveal a pretty good view which made up for the aforementioned grumbles

Couldn't get a table so went for a drink instead after dinner. View was quite good. We managed to get a table later on at 10ish and ordered a duck and waffle. Wasn't as good as we thought..Especially the portion was rather small and the duck is dry.

The view is absolutely amazing , especially if you wait till sunset. I do think the menu is quite limiting and the alcoholic drinks are super expensive. I got the duck and waffle, the duck was cooked beautifully. It's a very nice venue I just wouldn't go there on a regularly basis
