I do love the food and the view here, but I feel like it's becoming more and more like a tourist trap. It all seemed a bit rushed and the people working there doesn't really care that much (or that's what I felt). I've been here many times, but it has dropped in quality if I'm being honest.

It's a wonderful dining experience! First, the dining is on 40th floor, so the night view of this part of London was fantastic !
The food standard is good! I enjoyed the Duck and Waffle, risotto. Service staff is very helpful and friendly. Will go again when I am.bavk in London and try other stuff on their menu.

Food was excellent, service and tables are ok. Very difficult to book breakfast for 2 people without it being at a very early time.
I d only recommend on the experience side on the basis of a group of 4 and perhaps during the summer when you re more likely to have a clear day and enjoy the views. Food is excellent, but it s not like waffles are hard to come by :)

I made a mistake. I came here without an appetite. Ate too much the whole day. But look, this place is probably the best view you ll get in London with decent food. Prob worth coming here just for the drinks at their 360 bar. It s a great date spot. Or anniversary dinner. Despite my appetite-less state

Really, the high-rise restaurant is the only selling point. As a top-grade restaurant, the details of the food are not in place. The large mushrooms that should be peeled and the black ones are not made. The most common potato cake is actually born. And the spices are not in place. In the drink, the hot chocolate is just ordinary cocoa powder. Even the specialty restaurants on the streets of London know to use Belgian cocoa powder. Very disappointing... Half of the kitchen chefs are not completely loaded and do not meet European food standards. The table we were eating didn't even clean up and the residue. However, it is quite interesting in the London high-rise restaurant.

Went as a treat - views of London are fantastic and the food is reasonable too (for what you're getting). I went with a group of friends and we got a variety of dishes so that we could try everything; Duck and Waffle included of course. Definitely perfect for an informal treat but weekends are always fully booked.

Nice restaurant! You can reserve seats close to window at advance then you will have a great time to enjoy the view of London. The meals here are special, I never figured out how can docks and waffle in a dish. But it tastes nice. Furthermore, pig ears are recommended by visitors but I think it is more like normal cookie.

Great place to dine, great view of London. I had a full English with gluten free bread it was really good. Worked till 2am the night before so it was a lovely brunch to wake up to and just look out over London. It was very simple you take the glass lift up to the restaurant you want and duck and waffle is right at the top. They have a bar also very swank. Very open and the windows are to the floor so all that natural light is flooding in gorgeous. Over 6-8 people you need to make a reservation and they need a card no charge it's just in case you cancel.

You have to go here at least once. The view is great. Go on a sunny day for lunch. We had to book quite a while in advance so getting the weather right can be tricky. When we were there almost every table was celebrating something so the atmosphere was joyful and happy. The Duck & Waffle is a must try. So bad but so good. Enough said. The other dishes were good too. I think we had lobster and fois gras. Friendly enough service.

If you want to have a special breakfast in London, you must choose it here. I do recommended, because you can see the sunrise with amazing London skyline and great food & drink. It is open 24 hours a day, as you might expect, the morning, day and night atmospheres are totally different. Not just great views. The taste of the food is also good. I recommend "Duck and Waffle" like the name of restaurant. Service is also good.

It's a really great venue! One of my fav in London. The staff is overall provide a good level of customer service, however there is place for improvement which is a shame, as the prices are high in the sky. Also the enterior could be more exclusive, unique and elegant.

We had a reservation at Duck and Waffle, however, there was an accident in metro station and we could not get out (around 10 minutes). They cancelled our reservation just because we were about 3 minutes late and the personal was rude. These 3 minutes we lost at the security check by the main entrance. The man said, that even the plane at the airport would not wait for us. I find this behaviour rather rude, I have visited many good restaurant and I have never met anyone with behavior like that.

My first time here last night to celebrate my husband birthday , great food, staffs were nice except our waitress from the beginning she came to our table spill the water , no apology, no smile , had an attitude , the remainder of the evening her service did not improve .She ruined what could have been a wonderful experience for us.

I really wanted to go here and was not disappointed. Very tasty waffles and very friendly staff. The best here is of course "The View". Prices are a bit high, but since you get the view, that's perfectly fine. Reservation urgently required and very important: clothing policy - no flip flops !!

Lovely restaurant and views. From booking to exiting the restaurant the process was smooth and pleasant. Waiter was kind and paid attention to our needs without asking and pointing out the fact that some vegetarian dishes were not necessarily halal. We had breakfast and food was delicious and filling. Will definitely visit again!

An amazing date spot if you want to wow your partner with the London skyline (best at night). A smaller version of the menu is available until 5am, and is just as tasty as the full menu. It is expensive, but worth the money. THE best Duck I have had in years.
Gluten free waffles (savory and sweet) are available upon request. Book in advance

Visited for brunch with friends. Without a doubt one of the best views in London (though not all-together visible from tables in the centre of the restaurant).
Opted for the duck egg en cocotte while my friends had the signature duck confit waffle. All in all the food was tasty however the cocotte was rather heavy with little of the truffle taste coming through the gruyere.
Would recommend for the views but there are better (and certainly cheaper) places to go if you're all about the food.

From the super-fast glass lift, to the break taking views of the city, impeccable service and delicious food, there is nothing about this place that disappoints. We shared several starters including the 'all-day breakfast' (a foie gras and Nutella toast combination) and an Ox cheek doughnut, which was my personal favourite. Their name-sake dish the Duck and Waffle was delicious - perfectly crisp duck on a soft waffle with a fried egg and sweet maple sauce. Visit next time you need to impress, it certainly lived up to my expectations!

Perfect for a date, a birthday or a fancy dinner or lunch with friends and family. I went there to celebrate my mom s birthday and we got a table on the terrace facing the city and the river Thames. It was a sunny warm September day. We had a small lunch with few different plates. Stunning views, very helpful staff. I didn t bring a cake for my mom but the waitress came to the table before bringing the bill, with a little macaron and a candle to give my mom a little birthday sweet! I highly recommend this place if you are looking for something unique in London. It s a bar and sushi place with several options of raw and cooked fish. It accommodate a variety of palates for both food choices and drinks.

Great food with a breathtaking view. The service was really very good and friendly. The price level is very high and the portions are not overly generous, but we are still full!
The ride on the elevator to the 40th floor is also a small highlight at the beginning.

We were on March 27th. there.
The food was great.
The Pig Ears were something extraordinary! Highly recommended for the curious!
Both had main course duck and waffle, even gluten free for my accompaniment.
The desserts too.
Taste and care therefore 2 points.
Unfortunately, every employee has only one task. So we had 4 service staff assigned.
So person 1 brought us to the table, which is ok, since an usher is necessary and should only make the reception with the number of guests.
Person 2 then brought us the cards, asked about allergens, explained the cooking times for certain menus, and also the gluten-free menus.
Person 3 then took the wine order but not the food. Then person 4 had to come.
It may all be coherent, but we would have preferred a guide and a waiter. Because we had to wait longer in the meantime.
Hence a point deduction. "Was just stupid," we said afterwards. 3rd point unfortunately given away.
Person 4 was very friendly and you felt very comfortable. He then did the billing and answered a few questions including small talk; personable. A point for that.
Last point for the great prospect!
4 out of 5 points.

The food wasn't as good as expected. The restuarant didn't seem that well maintained, can tell it is busy here and the place was looking somewhat worn. I'd prefer to go elsewhere like The Shard, which was fabulous.

Horrible service. They cannot accommodate allergies. The waiters will argue and talk back rudely to you. They have no respect to their customers. They say they can on the website but when it comes down to it, there is a lack of communication with the waiters. If you have allergies do not come here. The service is slow. The waiters are not aware of what goes on. They just want to over turn tables and make money.

Beautiful and they've nailed it. Owned by the folks who own Sushi Samba, there's a terrific young vibe with very good food and service. One of our group of 11 pre-ordered a group of dishes to share that came out one or two at a time. Wonderful foods, quite different, easy to like. Service great........and then there's the view.

First of all, highly recommend making a reservation way way ahead of time.
Service: Staff was friendly but definitely busy running around. They don't really bother you and keep asking you how the food is, but do make sure your water is full and check-in on your food status. They do clean off the table a little bit too fast, which does seem like we're being hurried off.
Food: Good selection of food from land to sea.
Duck & Waffle - of course you have to get the namesake dish. The skin was crispy and the meat was just a tad tougher than tender, but not rubbery. Waffle was just normal and not superb. As the namesake dish, this dish could've been a lot more spectacular. Fluffier waffle and better cooked duck.
Whole Roasted Chicken - takes about 40 minutes to make. If you have your eyes on it, order it during your first round. Tender meat and good flavor. Make sure to put the au jus at the bottom of the pan onto your chicken for flavor.
Pig ears - what a great starter to go with your drinks!
Cocktails - overall pretty decent. Beautiful presentation and nicely mixed booze. However, the ginger beer in the mule was a little flat.
Ambience: Stunning view of London from the 40th floor! Good vibe and matching music. A little loud, so make sure to sit next to your date and not across for easier conversation.
The View:
The View:
The day we went there was a lot of fog, but on a clear day you would be able to see very far. The view is better from the restaurant, then the bar/waiting area.
The Decor & Atmosphere:
Nowhere near the Luxe experience you would expect. Confused interior, looks unfinished in parts and overcrowded with poor layout & furniture choices.
The Service:
We arrived early by 15 minutes. The security at the door was polite and fast. We checked in at the host's desk and waited in the waiting/bar area. They did not seat us til 25 minutes into our booking and that was only because I reminded the host.
Once seated, our waiter handed us the drinks menu (mini folder) that only included alcoholic drinks and disappeared. We then tried to get the attention of a waiter and asked if they served non-alcoholic drinks and could we see a menu. He handed us a different food mini with drinks on the bottom. They should really have ALL drinks in The Drinks Menu. We ordered our drinks and he gave us their Bunch Menu ran off again we could order, so we told a waitress that we were ready to order. She went and got our waiter.
Our food came fairly quickly, we were finished even quicker due to portion size. My guest went to the ladies. She took longer to arrive back to her seat, then our food took. She had to queue, because they only have one loo. While I was waiting, no-one came to clear our table or to ask if I needed anything. I eventually got the attention of a waitress and requested my table be cleared and the bill. She cleared our table straight away and sent our waiter with the bill. He ran off again, I then had to try again to get his attention. I paid by card. My guest arrived back the table and we managed to get one photo taken and left.
A discretionary 12.5% service charge will be added to your bill. It should be up to diners, if they want to give anything for service. Especially, if they have to remind or keep asking staff. They add it, because very few people would willingly give them a tip for the service experience they provide. I would happily give a generous tip, if exceptional service was provided.
The Food:
Tasty, but extremely overpriced for ridiculously small portion size and no presentation at all. Please see pictures, we had:
scrambled eggs with tomato & spring onions, sourdough toast & avocado + grilled chorizo
Final Thought: One Hit Wonder!
You are paying for the View. There are many resturants in London that provide a wonderful atmosphere and tasty food with good portion sizes at the same price. If you want a nice view, go to the Sky Garden for free.
We were done in 1 hour 15 minutes, that is from entering the building to exit. Only 20 minutes of that time was actually eating time and that was, because we were talking.
I have checked this off my list and I will not be going back again, unless they renovate and serve better portion sizes and improve the service.
I had such High Hopes!
Went there to have early dinner with my boyfriend....
Went there to have early dinner with my boyfriend. This was my 2nd visit and boy, what a disappointment for dinner first visit was for breakfast which was far far better and food served during breakfast was very good.
This time, food was very average. I prefer veggie food but there was hardly anything in their menu for vegetarians /vegans.
Anyway, had to eat something so ordered "puy lentils" and it was very monotone in taste, all ingredients chosen for the dish were sweet. No varience in flavours. Ordered G&T, didn't even get that right. My boyfriend ordered the infamous "duck and waffle" and be found it quite dry and average too.
The server serving our table seemed almost intimidating. At the end, we decided to pay only food bill and not serving charge. When we told him that, his immediate reaction was "why, what was wrong" in a strict tone lol. Almost wanted to laugh there but as a courtesy, we left some change for tip.
Giving it 2 stars only coz the view from the restaurant is nice. Would give 0 star (if possible) for food.
