Been there a few times now. I love the duck and waffles! The mixture is really interesting but you'll love it! And the view is better at night than daytime. If you don't want to book your place then try to go there at midnight (1-3am) from Monday - Thursday.
Friday will be busy tho!

Arrived with my 4 yo son without a booking at around 1pm. Lovely lady at the desk said she d have a table for us ready in 5 minutes !
The elevator to the place already is a journey in itself !
Views from the restaurant are amazing - menu is fairly small but quite original. I stuck to the tradition duck & waffle and it was quite a good surprise !! My son absolutely loved being able to have waffles and delicious maple syrup for lunch while watching his favorite London building : the Gherkin!
I found the staff to be very welcoming and friendly - especially with my kid. Will definitely bring friends and family back there !

Went for an early (post sunrise) breakfast for two. Service impeccable and efficient. Fantastic views all around. The signature duck and waffle has a balance of sweet and savoury with the duck both crispy and tender. The duck egg en cocotte was decadent. Coffee on point. Book in advance, definitely worth the experience.

Nice experience.

Amazing views and good enough food! We went for brunch and the views on a clear day are amazing!!!! The food is good but nothing mega special! I liked the duck and waffle and the banana waffles were good as well! Come here for a treat with friends or your partner specially if they don t live in London as the views are amazing!!!!

40th floor of a skyscraper with great views of London. Our waiter, a young Italian man was very friendly and attentive throughout the whole meal.
The food was simply delicious. It has a short menu but everything on it is high quality and prepared with care, so much that it doesn't seem expensive.
Will definitely go back again.

Went for lunch with my mother and after looking at recent reviews was sceptical. Lady at reception looked down the whole time and was not approachable at all with no smile or care. Service was erratic and we were served by several different staff which made the whole experience inconsistent. Ordered a cocktail which didn t come until the end of the meal after chasing it up 3 times. Staff were not apologetic at all even when my mother had asked for an apology. Shame this place is riding on reputation it no longer has.

AMAZING views of the city, on offer 24 / 7 at the 40th floor of the Herron Tower in the heart of London. Ambience is great and food is solid, but beware the unfriendly bouncers at the door who vigilantly monitor dress code!

Excellent food, get as many starters as you can manage they're all great. Duck and Waffle main was very tasty, loved the mustard maple. Drinks are epensive but are essentially paying for the view.

Atmosphere isn't the best, as there's obviously limited space therefore the time slot allotted to your table is short, feels like you're on a conveyer belt being churned through on limited time. Crowd was mixed but expect plenty of Instagramers.

Staff were hit and miss, the waitress serving our food was very nice to us and helped us get a window seat. The waiter that brought the bill was very rude, couldn't even be bothered to utter a word before snatching my card to pay.

MAKE A RESERVATION!!

We cake here twice - first without a reservation late Sunday morning (failed) and 2nd time the next day with a reservation. Food was fantastic, service was great and we did enjoy the view and the vibes.

So much to say about this place! It's an experience for sure! The restaurant is located at the roof of one the buildings so you get a bird's eye view of the entire city.

The food! OMG the food is amazing. Anything you pick will be guaranteed a success! The duck and waffle is amazing, any of the breads are delicious!

Keep in mind they do have a dress code so check the website when you make a reservation.

Overpriced? Of course! The views are incredible and fantastic selection of brunch choices. A great way to start the morning, although food coma after the duck and waffle. Service sub par for the prices, 5 stars purely on venue and food.

Perched up on the top floor of the relatively new and brash Heron Tower skyscraper lies a new equally bold introduction to the culinary London scene.

Following the signs at street level on Bishopsgate for Sushisamba you venture upwards in a glass lift at a rapid rate of knots. It certainly is an impressive sight swiftly rising above all the City workers on a beautiful clear day.

On paper this should be a place that would usually fill me with dread situated in a place where surely only bankers would go; with plush surroundings and a wine list with some eye-watering prices. Pleasingly though, given the quality of the food alone you can easily put aside these instincts and kick-back for a fine experience.

To kick off the proceedings, we opted for the intriguingly titled BBQ-spiced crispy Pig Ears. Arriving in a paper bag sealed with the restaurant emblem they were flavorsome and moreish.

When looking at the menu the whole feel of the food on offer is very well thought through. Head Chef Daniel Doherty mixes ingredients in some interesting ways with options of small tapas like dishes, raw fish, fresh baked breads with some mains thrown in for good measure. We tried to go for a good spread of the selections on offer.

The Foie Gras Breakfast , with a dash of Nutella was rich and succulent smacking all of it s flavours full in the face. Mini black puddings, crispy bacon, two generous pieces of Foie Gras and a Quails egg topped off on a crispy piece of bread.

The Ox Cheek Doughnut accompanied by Mango, The Rosemary & Garlic Bread and the Pollack Meatballs were also nothing to be sniffed at. Ox surely had to go with dough; as any self-respecting American using lashings of Maple Syrup on pancakes & Bacon can rightfully attest.

The bread was reassuringly good, and the Lobster sauce with the Pollocks hit all the right notes.

But then to finish off we had to go for the signature dish. Surely when you go to somewhere called the Duck and Waffle its impossible to turn down such a dish that s actually named that? As with the other plates of food there was much to savour. When it arrives it s piled high, so you re a bit uncertain how to tackle the dish but a few confused looks and a cursory glance to the helpful waitresses and we re advised the strategy to follow.

The views are great, the food bombastic and the service is attentive. You have good views into the kitchen seeing the chefs at work, and the fact that this is open 24 hours means you can happily while the early hours away sharing a sinful dish or two.

A place I wanted not to like, but regardless the Duck and Waffle pulls it off ticking a fair few boxes in the process.

Very special place which with lovely views & great food that is found. Especially Duck & waffle , the duck meat is crispy n nice , must order this dish. Mixed with honey on it, very delicious. Try to book early a month ago, in order not to miss your chance as always fully booked.

I went there for lunch on a Tuesday with a friend (we had to make the reservation 2 weeks in advance) and we tried to order as many dishes as possible. All of them were really great.

The duck and waffle didn't let me down. I thought it would be a weird combination but I really liked it. However, the best dish was actually one of their specials for that day, a French tartiflette with truffles. It was not very light but it was really, really good.

The waiters were super attentive and nice, making good suggestions when asked. The service was also very fast.

They have a cozy and modern ambiance. We got a table in a wonderful place, surrounded by the amazing view up there. I can't think of anything bad to say, so I just have to give them 5 stars.

Beautiful place open 24H !!!

Beautiful place open 24H !!!
You go up thanks to an elevator from which you can see a phenomenal panorama of the city. I took the dish that gives the place its name ... yummy! I dispassionately recommend coming here at any time of the day and enjoying good food in a very very cool location!

Great venue with stunning views of London - great place to take visit friends. However they really cram in as many tables as possible, so it feels quite cramped, and the food is pretty average for the price.

They created this exclusivity feeling for you to get in through resovstion only, ID check and security check. The view is amazing; food and drinks are fab too. They try to get the service right by constantly checking if you are happy with the food and drinks etc. The only thing I didn t feel comfortable is that I was asked to leave my credit card behind the bar after I ordered one drink... which it isn t normal. Apart from that, five stars for sure.

We were so looking forward to coming here as the reviews appeared excellent. We feel it is over rated and over priced (especially the wine with service charge added on top)..too many waiters interuppting you - asking if everything was ok (5 times we were asked). Beetroot was very bland. Crispy pigs ears were disappointing too much seasoning. Roasted cauliflower we have enjoyed in other restaurants and again this failed our taste buds. The only nice thing was the Rib Eye Steak that was cooked well but not enough for 2 people unless you like eating the fatty bits. We felt very rushed to eat too.

We have been to this place twice and has always been busy but they have been organised both times and we had our table and did not have to wait for too long.

Customer service is excellent too!

Such a shame, doorman very rude from the beginning of the night.... over bosted steroid angry men .. felt like I was in east Europe....

Our waiters was nice but food was over cooked and, the food was really badly presented complete waste of time better of at a drive through....

An experience, duck and waffle is a surprising hit, expensive though, I would avoid anything on the drinks menu except tap water, good service (despite being students we we're in black tie, so got saved past the queue to a table)

Such high expectations, shattered! I once had breakfast here and it was ace however dinner was another story. I had the signature Duck and Waffle - the duck itself was brill however the waffle was stodgy and tasted of nothing and the maple syrup sauce was actually just unpleasant! Also, really terrible service.
