The people working here are kind and helpful. It is an extremely tactical oriented space. Which is clearly stated in the name. It just did not have very much EMS stuff which is what I would recommend if you go there for. It is a great fun field place to browse for cool stuff.

Brett was great! The staff was really nice. The store was not cluttered,like others say, they are expanding so have patients. I rather they have too much of what I need than to little. This is the only place I've found that has tactical pants for women.

Best 5.11 dealer in YVR for price and in stock selection. Lower pricing than Amazon before your EMS/Fire/Police/DND discount. I came there the day they were stocking their new renovated side. The owners have obviously made a big investment in a refreshed look. Looking forward to see the finished store.

Highly recommended, if you're looking for a large variety of Tactical & First Responder's Gear, this is the place for you. There's a great selection of clothing/ jackets/ duty belts/ boots & shoes/ and a huge selection of other gear. Great knowledgeable staff, competitive prices. Once was one of my favorite places to shop for gear before my retirement.....

Ordered dog tags in July 23. Was told it would take a day. Went back two days later said it would be a week and they would call. Come August 10 no call and we go in and they still aren t done. They couldn t event refund our debit and had to give us cash and the excuse was the machine wasn t done... sitting there with our money however and didn t even call to let us know. Disappointed to say the least.....

Lots of military type wear/gear. Staff are helpfull if you can get their attention. Prices seem reasonable for quality of gear. Seems to cater mainly to law enforcement.

Overall, a great place to get a variety of tactical gear for decent prices. They even give you 10% if you belong to an organization or professional use. Yes, the shop is quite a mess and walking space is rather limited. That's kind of half the fun. They have free catalogues and magazines like Calibre and 5.11. I bought a pair of 5.11 women's waterproof tactical boots. Since the sizes sell out quick because of the limited order, the staff was kind enough to hold them via phone for me. While in the shop, the staff were ready and willing to help answer questions!

I have visited the store numerous times and have had a wonderful experience every single time! The staff are very friendly and are always willing to help...great customer service. The store is fairly clean and whenever I order something online, I get it right away. The workers are also helpful on the phone when I have questions about items being in stock. Would recommend to friends.

My latest purchase was a flashlight. They have a great selection of good ones. Now waiting for a pair of pants that I will be using for camping -- they didn't have the colour I wanted in my size.

Cool stuff, stock is often low and sometimes not refilled for months, had an issue as well where I was not helped when asking for a specific item, employees saying they dont carry it when it's been listed on their website for a couple months. Asides from that a neat store. Good quality items for a decent price on sales, black friday is especially good

I love the heavy duty cargo pants they have for work. Normally used by paramedics and law enforcement.

Awesome store filled with some really great things geared towards police, military or outdoor types. As a tactical store they have a wide array of tactcial styled clothing, pouches, vests, parts and accessories. It is filled with top of the line products. Not cheap Chinese made knockoffs or brands here but proper milspec or proven companies with a price tag to match. The are one of the only brick and mortar dealers of Arcteryx Law Enforcement Armed Forces (LEAF) in North America and have a great selection. They sell a good amount of not necessarily tactical outdoor gear for camping/hiking etc as well. They sell higher end knives as well from makers such as Extrema Ratio and Chris Reeve knives. If you want something that is the real-deal and not off eBay made for airsofters this is the place to go. Their prices I find are very fair for the quality of products they sell as well. I felt like a kid in a candy store there and the staff were great. If you can't find something on the racks don't be afraid to ask, thereay be a possibility they have it in back or can order it in. I.e. I was wondering if they had any dog products like collars, leads, harnesses, and I asked a staff member. He came out with a box of really cool products that I could sift through as they didn't have room on the shelves for them. I have been there a couple times now and love it every time. My wallet on the other hand.......

I have been quite a few times and had a hard time finding what I want as the store is a mess and staff really could care less that you are there. Customer service is non existent....have not gone back and won't go back. Also prices are very high.

Found out about DS Tactical through my brother who works in law enforcement. They carry a great variety of tactical gear, including Arcteryx LEAF garments. Staff member Andy was very knowledgeable and helpful. Keep an eye out for their Boxing Day sale for deals.

If you haven't shopped here, you have to go. This place is hugely fun to explore, boxes and all :). The clothing boots and gear are very high quality and they'll make you look awesome. If you've never shopped tactical gear you should, the clothing is all tricked out with hidden pockets every where and way more durable and stain resistant than regular shirts and pants. You will not find clothing like this at the mall. The staff are busy, but it's a busy place, and when it's your turn, they are super helpful and will stick with you till you're done. A bonus is it's pet friendly so you can bring your dog with you. I highly recommend a visit if just to look around, but we spent lots of $$$$ and will go back for more gear. I get teased at work that I look like an officer, but they all want to know where I got the clothing from.

Decent store with tons of products. Staff is brutal with Customer Service though and store is a complete unorganized mess with boxes and merchandise piled everywhere. Not customer friendly at all and hard to get help.

DS Tactical is a great store, with great selection, knowledgeable staff, and excellent customer service. Though their website is rarely fully updated, leaving me unsure if they have a certain product or not.

DS is Canada s best shop for all tactical gear and accessories. Their new store is awesome and totally worth checking out in person if you can, they've got knowledgeable and super friendly staff, a huge variety of product and they re always increasing their selection. The new website is also great if you want to invest an entire paycheque from your couch! I ve been going here for years and recommend you don t look any further!

I've been going to MD Charlton since it was closer to my house in Langley. However, the selection is 10x better here, and the staff were friendly and helpful for boots.

I have to say this is one of if not the best place in the country for police/military gear. I have lived throughout Canada and still return to DS Tactical whenever I'm back in the Lower Mainland. Online ordering is made easy by knowledgeable staff who are very helpful. Top quality brands for sure.

It's pretty crowded in here. The staff doesn't seem to be very friendly or helpful. Prices are a bit inflated. 5.11 tactical gear doesn't seem to be the quality it used to be and they sell a lot of it here.

Great shop, tons of kit. Staff is helpful and knowledgeable but its verry cluttered inside, making it hard to find things without help from the staff. Hands down though if you're looking for kit, you'll find it here.

Awesome selection of tactical and camping gear. Only downside are the prices, DS seems to sell everything at or above msrp but if your army or law enforcement you get a % off.

Very professional, knowledgeable and helpful staff. Pretty much everything you need as a professional in security. Including pants for women (which we were looking for as being a unisex human is not a thing). Room in the store for people to safely move about.

Came in last week and picked up some stuff for work. Store was very busy yet the staff did a pretty good job managing. I like how people are complaining about stock and then complaining about the mess the boxes of stock cause lol.
