Excellent staff and quality gear! They give a great discount to law enforcement, fire/paramedics and the film industry. For the whiners out there: if they don't have what you want they will bring it in.

I have chosed DS Tactical as my go to for all equipment needs. Their staff is friendly and professional. I recently dealt with Taylor in the retail department for a specialty item that I had been looking for. She assured me of their no hassle return policy and mailed me the item anyways. Also, she even applied a discount. I give DS Tactical and their staff a solid 5 stars.

Good staff, amazing selection. This store is awesome. The only thing they need to do is get a bigger store... There is lots of selection, but when the crowds come in there, it's had to navigate the small aisles. Time for a bigger store.

Called on Thursday, Nov 26th. A super rude and unwelcoming guy answered the phone. Do these guys / gals know how easy it is to buy from Amazon? I had a few simple questions that could have been answered with politeness and understanding.. but no. Thanks for helping make my purchasing experience simple. I ll just do a little more research and buy from Amazon.

I buy high quality boots that stand the test of time, and so I do not go buy boots often. I was eventually ready for a pair, and so I dropped in to see what DS Tactical had in stock. I saw a few pairs that seemed likely, and I really liked the one. For what I thought was a while, I tried to make eye contact with the owner (?? he was talking to other people as if he owned the place). He seemed to be rather very friendly to other people in the store ... In fact, he walked by me several times, but totally ignored me. Ultimately, no one came to help. I felt rather insulted by the slight, and I left. I will not go back.

Crowded store with lots of selection and inventory. Somewhat difficult to find what I was looking for. I would only purchase something here on sale or with a LEO discount. Most of what can be found here can be had from amazon for cheaper.

Bought Spector jerry and Femix headlamp. Good stock, great advice from knowledgeable staff . Very competitive prices.

The goto place for tactical gear and equipment in the Lower Mainland! DS has anything you could want for police, EMS, security, and other emergency service duties (which also get 10% off!). They carry a wide range of 5.11 Tactical gear, and other manufacturers as well. Staff is always very helpful, and answers any questions you might have. Website has a comprehensive ordering system and catalog that you can surf from your couch!

A lot nicer now that they've expanded the store. Sometimes it's still a bit hard to find something specific, or you'll get a brush-off from someone working there(Given that police/security are their primary market, I don't look the part, and am not, so I can give that one an understanding pass.), but overall, good store for gear and accessories. Lot of variety to what's available.

Love this place. So much stuff crammed I to the small space and I want it all. If you need tac gear, this is the place to go.

Great store for emergency service and law enforcement personnel to get work related kit. Also a good selection of clothing for hunting enthusiasts. They seem to be expanding and are including outdoor products for hikers and trail users. Friendly staff. Must be high volume because they tend to be out of stock on some items. You can place an order at the store or on line and they call or mail to you when products arrive.

Staff were super friendly and helpful although the store itself is very tightly packed wall to wall with merchandise. It makes it a little difficult to find things on your own.

Another business who I have know and visiting for over 10 years. It was previously known as Dave,s surplus. Now that the son has taken over, hence the new name. A new addition to the existing building will be fuse together with the original building should be operating soon. This is the place the professionals shop for their equipments. Eg. Police force members. From rugged 1000 lumen hand held flashlights to bullet proof vests to boots and pants.
