So I can't believe I'm leaving a review for the DM...

So I can't believe I'm leaving a review for the DMV. But good service needs to be known.
I always have gotten anxious and nervous going to the DMV and the employees there always have an attitude and act like they don't want to be there. But my person that helped me ( Beth ) was very friendly, very helpful, and she acted like she loved her job.
I would definitely go to this location again. Thanks

Best experience at a DMV for me. Walked in, got a number and it was called before I even sat down. In and it in 10 minutes. I am sure I just got lucky but I will take it. Noonish on a Thursday

Parking lot does suck to get in and out of. Also Google navigated me to a location across the street for some reason.

Showed up in plenty of time to check in for my haz...

Showed up in plenty of time to check in for my hazmat test. Front desk took my name, number, and info and said they would text me when it was my time. Nearly 2 hours later they said they were closed. I was never called or texted. They had no appologies, nor any excuse and said to come back on tuesday. I work during the week so now what do I do? This needs to be delt with by upper management. Not even worth one star. Will NOT be coming to this location again. Prior rating from me was erased by someone. Reposting.

Nice employees... but I waited 4 hours to renew my...

Nice employees... but I waited 4 hours to renew my DL, then had to come back later b/c the computer crashed and they couldn't resume mine due to Homeland Security screwing around w/ the software. Finally recieved a PAPER license, real one comes in 2 weeks...

Rude check in staff and horrible service. Checked in online, drove 25 minutes and upon arrival they told me they were not taking any more appointments. I showed them my confirmation and they had no explanation but still wouldn t let me handle my license. And such a rude attitude about it, not even an apology! No excuse for poor manners and rude behavior!!!!! Ever!!!!

You can reserve a spot by text but even if you don't they are really fast and nice! Last time I had no reservation, there were about 6 people ahead of me. From the time I walked in to when I left it had taken about 10 minutes!

They were extremely rude. I'm new to the city and needed a new license with a my new name. The lady that helped me could not have been more rude or unhelpful. She was very unclear on what I needed and sent me away.

Came yesterday at 3:00 and they would not let me in (even though they are open until 4:45). Came in today at 11:00 and still waiting at 1:50. Horrible experience. Should not take 3 hours to renew your license!

Poor organization. Doesn't have the competence or resources to responsibly serve the public. Typical of KS government, honestly. Can't they do better? I've lived in both FL and CO over the years, but only in my home state of Kansas is the government so ineffective..

I'm sitting right now next to the check in. It is around 1pm. They are telling people that they might not get served today, but they are welcome to take a ticket and wait to find out.

The staff including The security that was on duty was amazing! I was really having a ruff day due to all my stuff being stolen out my car including my DL and they took care of me with no problems ! Highly recommend!!!

Not enough parking for the high demand of customer...

Not enough parking for the high demand of customers. The business location closes at 4:00pm which is too early for working customers. The man that waited on me did not answer my questions and cut my time short. He was rude and disrespectful in the tone of his voice, body language and facial expressions. This employee need customer service training. Only two people to filter long lines of waiting customers. For a person who just moved to Kansas City, it was not a pleasant experience.

I wish I could give this office negative stars. I went in for a driver's license, and was not allowed to get one because the head dream crusher at the entryway decided my ACTUAL birth certificate was issued "by a state." Yes, that's how birth certificates work. I was, admittedly, born in a state. I've used my birth cerificate for work, etc. in multiple states and NEVER been questioned. It literally has a raised formal seal, thick green paper, formal signatures and the vital statistics records department information on it. I left, called the supervisor, who told me to come back in 3 days (he was getting ready to leave) and he could look at the birth certificate, but to be aware that people often get fake ones online. WTH ARE THEY EVEN TALKING ABOUT??? Some of the weirdest, absolutely non-sensical interactions I've ever had.

Went at 5pm on a Tuesday, told they were too busy (despite only 3 people in the waiting area) and to come back at 5 the next day. Went in before 4 the second time and the employee told me they were not taking anymore people for the day, even though they close at 5:45. Do not waste your time here.

From 8am to 8:30am 4 Customer Service Reps sitting at their desk chatting it up with each other as the place fills up. Not sure why it takes them so long to start helping people. Such a waist of time.

Way over crowded. 3 hour wait for many. I checked ...

Way over crowded. 3 hour wait for many. I checked in early and the wait is over an hour. I would give a negative star if possible. An hour has come and gone. There are still 80 in front of me. I am here for a replacement license. It should take15 min. Most stations are not open. So now it is 2 hours. 50 still ahead. I would leave but don t want to have to endure this torture again. 3 hours , 2 workers have gone to lunch. Still 20 ahead of me. This is insane.

Such a nice people, specially a gentlemen at the check-in desk...don't remember his name now...(white hair, glasses, 50's so knowledgeable and nice...) Thanks, it was a pleasant experience every time I have to go there... but this time even better.

It's the DMV. Corona precautions are in place. They're back to appointments that need to be booked about a month in advance. This has made a lot of customers are grumpy. Also their web page isn't getting updated regularly so ypu have to go to the Kansas State page to get the right information.

WARNING: Be sure to take the documents you need for Real ID, even though the Ks DL website says they have all the documents they need. The person who checks your documents didn't have a clue- even said he had no idea what I was reading on the website. Other than that, the process was smooth and wait was short.

The only positive is that the wait time is managed by the Q-Less.

I arrived 8 minutes before they were scheduled to close. The doors are locked and I'm standing there looking at my watch and pointing at their clock. Manager type of man opened the door and basically explained that they can close whenever they want and the yada,yada yada.

That's fine...but please don't tell me over the phone that "I'LL BE FINE IF I ARRIVE BY 4:45". I was at the door by 4:37. Thanks for the heads up.

I think that they get trapped in that tiny room all day and forget in the outside world people use logic and reasonable assumptions. I shouldn't have to assume that they close early.

Called on the phone. Prompt, couurteous, quick, knowledgeable, professional, to the point. I've seen some bad reviews, so maybe it depends on who you work with, but the gentlemen on the phone was 'A' grade

They went and changed their hours. Except, the only place it's posted that hours are different is inside the building, so that you know, but only after you've taken off work and are losing money. Unprofessional, and lazy.

Made an advance reservation and did not have to wait. Their camera will she you 15 years. Make sure you don't have to show your license to any one. Look online and take needed documents with you to get a "Real ID" Otherwise you'll need a passport for domestic air travel.

Staff is friendly and helpful but removal of the electronic check in system has made the experience insufferable. It usually takes this location an hour to get through 10-15 people so be prepared to wait at least an hour or two on a good day.

Hostile! The staff are very aggressive toward the patrons. I felt blessed to be prepared and out quickly. Some had to wait a long time. While waiting a gentleman was almost thrown out just for asking if he was standing in the correct area to be checked in. I will use a different location in the future.

2.5 hours waiting and we learn that a minor's social security # on a 2015 tax form is not new enough documentation, it has to be last year's tax form. The people behind the first counter have limited understanding of the documentation requirements of counter #2 people, and limited concern when they make a mistake

VAL or whatever her name is was THE absolute rudest person I ve encountered here. If you hate yourself job that much, leave. Very unpleasant human being and I hope management sees this and does something with her. So much for customer service skills? Especially not meant to sit up front checking people in.

EDIT: Aside from RUDE and AWFUL staff, I paid TWICE for a real ID and have YET to see my ID. This was from MARCH. I am mind blown that I still haven't seen it and even had my current UNEXPIRED ID clipped now it's not valid damn anywhere. Corporate will be called indefinitely.
