The workers are very rude and the lines are always very long. I always hate going here.

Did the online check-in, maybe waited five minutes, Pam waited on me and was fast, friendly, efficient and very courteous! Great service!
They did a good job of keeping people distanced, and everything was very fast and efficient.
Very quick and helped me whenever I had an issue. But it's the DMV, not sure what they could do to get 5 stars;)
The best experience I have ever had at a DMV! Checked in, sent to wait, only had to wait 1 minute and were helped right away! Everybody was so polite and helpful. Val took great care of us, explained everything so well and was so polite! Will definitely be going here from now on!
Make sure you have a minute or 2 to relax your eyes after photo taken before eyes test, so you can pass! I couldn't pass at first and I told them to give me a chance to rest my eyes because of the flash , so I passed eye test after that!
The place is alright, just some of them are not nice! Good luck!
It's hard to get through on the phone. Wed and Thurs are their slower days, so I would call then.
You wait in line for one side of the room for them to tell you one thing then you wait so the other side of the room can tell you something else so you leave with nothing. Can't tell if it is incompetentence or entertainment.
absolutely disgusting. My son had to use the restroom while we were there and the people were rude, the bathroom was covered in urine all over the toilet and the floor. find a different location. these people obviously don't have any pride in themselves, their job, the place they work, or how they treat people.
Fix your website hours. You re not open at 7am. You can t slap a sign on the door and call that a good source of info
It should be a zero stars because the website says this location is open on Saturday. When I went, there was a sign posted saying that as of October 29, 2018 the location would be open Tuesday through Friday from 8-4:45. This is unacceptable! I work from 8-4 Monday through Friday, so now I will have to take a disability day to renew my license. Our wonderful state at its worst. CHANGE THE INFORMATION ON THE WEBSITE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Speedy, efficient, and courteous. Arrived at 10, out at 10:15.
Arrived 15 mins before closing to be told it only takes 4 minutes to process my request and no one was in line but the registers are closed down so I cannot be helped. This is frustrating for working class people who don't have the luxury of sitting in line all day. I would've known that if they answered the phone.
Used to be nice. Today, I went to the office here to renew my DL. I of course put my name down on the online waiting system. When I arrived at the office, it was 12:30 pm, the security guy told me that it is closed due to too many people in line. Regardless of online reservation, they didn t even allow me to get in the office. Pathetic!!!
Do not ever ask me 4 a review.I do charge 100.00 dollars for a basic review. If you need photos another 200.00 video 500.00
Had an almost 4 hr wait and their number calling makes no sense. I m a week from my temp Id expiring and still haven t received my license
Per usual, the DMV (run by the DOR) is one of the worst experiences. I went in for a license renewal two months ago and the state still hasn't sent me my new DL. The phone numbers only have one line and you have to repeatedly call back in the hopes of not getting a busy tone. The workers are un-empowered to be helpful and have little to no resources. There are many inconsistencies between the phone numbers, email addresses and websites that make trying to get around impossible. This is the biggest, most aggravating waste of time.
Very good treatment, they are people with a desire to help, I give them 6 stars.
The wait was not bad at all. However the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my life. I understand people may come in rude and mean but that does not mean you are rude to everyone else, I work in customer service and tried to go the extra mile to be nice to the woman renewing my license. Nothing but rude comments and made fun of all questions asked. Do not know how she is still employed
Excellent service while doing Real ID for Kansas. I forgot to ask the ladies name who helped me. She was wonderful. Best experience in my life at a DMV location.
Better than Missouri's system. Thou that might not be saying much
Terrible wait even got in line 30 minutes ahead of time. And way too many employees not working.
They are super friendly, educated, they want to help and guide.
Somebody needs to have a talk with the employee Eric about not bringing politics into the work place. Very unprofessional.
Very helpful and friendly staff members. David, the manager there is very diligent and made sure all my information was entered correctly.
I really liked how they made sure you had all your required documents before you wait in line. The staff was fast and professional. One thing i wasn't the biggest fan of was their numbering system. But overall i was happy with the experience.
I took the afternoon off of work, printed off my e-ticket, and drove (30 minutes) to the Mission office. A sign on the door said they wouldn't be helping anyone else today. Tension mounted as customers shared stories: some had tried to get their license three or more times and had repeatedly been turned away; the e-tickets were meaningless; some needed valid IDs for airline travel and others to vote; many were now using expired licenses because the DMV was incapable of processing the requests of those who need them. A security guard was keeping people out of the building, news cameras and journalists were there recording the newsworthy irony of a government-run office that requires a license to drive and then fails to provide a reasonable way to obtain said license. Craziness!
We checked in online and by the time we got there even though they were busy, it went by quickly!! We had a great experience there! Tim did our paperwork and he was very polite and quick, Heather did my driving test and she was absolutely fabulous, so kind and positive! So much better than the Olathe office! If you can, go to the mission location for sure
Everytime I go it s a terrible experience. I ve even tried to call a few times to see if they are open a day before the holiday and the line is always busy. Website sucks too. Online check in doesn t work. The DMV is way smoother. They need to put them back together.
The qless system makes waiting there in long lines a thing of the past. Well done
I was pretty much in and out of this DMV. No complaints. I would recommend going in the early morning and using the "GetinLine" tool on the Johnson County website.
Make sure you visit the website to get all the appropriate documents ready. Otherwise, it's a smooth and easy process from there...
This place is a pathetic joke. I checked online & was told that only 39 people ahead of me and that my waiting time would be an hour and ten minutes. When I arrived, 45 minutes later, I had to wait 35 minutes just to check in.
What was the point of checking in online. Lazy State Employees! I then waited another 1.5 hours to get served.
Doesn't even deserve a star to be honest. I've gotten window 7 the past couple of times I've been here and he makes you feel terrible when you fail. I didn't past my first physical driving test and when I came back the next day to try again I got the same man and he and the man next to him decided to read the private comments aloud and laugh at them so terrible service terrible people.
Friendly people excellent setup on serving people. Been to the one in wyndotte OMG... Never again is all i can say .......
Pretty much awful. Took over 2 hours to be seen as their automated system that decides who gets to be called up to the window is complete trash and will call 15 of one type of service (like dl renewal) and go 45 minutes without call another (like getting a new DL). Save yourself time and sanity by driving to Leavenworth county or Wyandotte county to get stuff done; Johnson county is an incompetent as they come.
Make sure you have everything you need before you go.
Horribly run and some of the most lazy and unmotivated people you've ever dealt with. Closed early and even with spot in line they wouldn't help people.
Got in line online, showed up but didn't know I needed an appointment. Very confusing
I got there right before opening @ 8:00 A.M.there were at least 10-12 people ahead of me waiting for them to open the door. I got in at 8:00 & I was walking out by 8:22 A.M. the people who worked with me with were professional & polite. I was there for my License Renewal & Real ID 4 years & $ 20.00 .
I absolutely loved going here the staff was nice and I was helped in a timely manner !! If I have anything else to take care of I will be going here from now on.
After waiting an hour and forty-five minutes was told I didn't have the correct paperwork . They checked it at the front desk an Asian woman and said it was good. Bathroom was a disaster....poor excuse for a state facility.
Seems like everything is good here except they should have a few chairs outside for people having to wait for their loved ones to take the driving test! That's all i can say about that!!!
Only government could be this ineffective I left work early and arrived at 2pm they close at 445 and were not accepting customers. Olathe was the same. What business just decides to stop serving people. So I got up early the next day and got there at 645 even though they opened at 7. Line was HUNDREDS of people long and stretched literally down the road I can't begin to describe the dysfunction Makes me regret my taxes support such a worthless enterprise.
Although the room was crowded, I was only there for 15 mins. Staff was super friendly and the entire process was so painless. 5 stars from me!
The system if calling people up needs revamping. It has a bad motoring system of calling people up. 11 people who got there after me got called up before me
Nobody has been rude to me yet but as I am waiting in like I can hear how rude some employees are being to the customers almost yelling at them terrible!
Both times, worst experience ever. I don't even rate places badly even if they're bad but this place deserves it more than anything..
Because of all this Covid19 mess, and setting up appointments. My experience was as perfect as one can get from the DMV
I would go out of my way to avoid this DMV, if possible. People at the check in were rude and had even stopped helping me at one point to chat with someone in line behind me. Both my sister and I recieved contradictory information (about whether we could have driven with a paper driver's ed issued permit) and the station workers are completely uninterested and unhelpful.
Totally wasted an hour of my time. 20 minute drive each way. I'm a girl, had to get ready to get my picture taken. Put off a money making opportunity with a customer on eBay. Arrived 10 minutes before 4:45 pm, which is the time they close. I was told that I was too late. Then I was told that it takes 25 mins to renew a driver's license if it was last issued in another state besides kansas. Well folks, it would have sure been nice if I would have known this before setting out to get it taken care of today. I'm giving you 1 star for getting up out of your chair to say "Can I help you?"
If I own a restaurant and it's open until 10 pm, but someone shows up at 9:00 pm and gets lousy service because my employees are trying to clean up and go home. I might as well close at 9:00 pm because it's not fair to my customer unless they know that's gonna be the case. If the service falls short or cannot measure up, why bother?
Absolutely the worst ive been waiting 2 months to recieve my licence which they send through the mail and for some reason the post office keeps sending it back have called several times to correct and they said they have done all they can its up to the post office which i have filed a complaint with the post office but seems they either lie or shuffle it around there in house cover up i cant understand why they would send it through the incompetent mail system like the united states postal service. KANSAS IS THE WORST
Great experience! Signed up for an appointment online, waited only 30 seconds for service after I arrived, staff were friendly and helpful. Wow!
They are doing a very great job on renewing my DL. Their big smile make me a happy day. They open on Saturday as well. They are the best DMV.
Friendly and helpful staff. Long wait, but that's to be expected.
Dread going to this place everyone is so rude and make an easy task impossible
Whether it is a short line or a long one you always get done pretty fast. You may have to wait so take your cell phone which has a game on it and wait for them to call your number.
Best DMV visit ever! Very efficient and quick! I had an appointment and all my paperwork to renew my DL and was in and out in less than 10 min! Kudos to the staff!!
We were checked in immediately and then had a 30 minute wait to get to the window. Because we were changing our driver s license from out-of-state to KS it took a bit of time, but the woman who worked with us was incredibly nice. Those poor employees really need an update to the building.
Had to have appointment.
Went smooth. Seemed safe. Spent 25 mins there.
Another worthless bureaucratic office full of overpaid imbeciles. 90% of these people should and will soon be replaced by more competent computers.
had an E ticket to reserve my place wasn't accepted and yesterday was also full needs more staff and to make sure reservations are serious or take it off your website.
I renewed my drivers license to get the federal real id and it doesnt have the star I brought in the paperwork. I travel a lot amd this is a big deal.
3 hours after getting my number in line (i left and came back several times) they called it just to say i was in the wrong line, although i asked repeatedly if they were sure i was in the right one. then the wait began again. VERY incompetent at the desk!!!!
Used the online checkin system, got there and was told the wait would still be two hours because of lunch. Suggestions: Avoid Fridays. Avoid mid-day. Double the online wait estimate. Why isn't there a DMV near 135th and Metcalf? Both locations are nearly 30 minutes each way for me.
I needed to call this office for information, but their phone is off the hook. No automated operator or voicemail, just the tone you'd get when a call isn't completed. What point is there in listing a phone number if nobody can reach the office at it? Either Google's info is out of date, or the office needs to fix something.
Annoyingly slow any day I go. More employees please? Some are at their seat doing nothing, not even calling numbers. I m at my seat, the wait has been 2 hours, I m expecting another 2 hours when my number finally gets called.
Attempting to get license renewed and for teen driver this am. Disappointed the state agency is not open on Mondays to meet customer needs. Highly suggest open all days as well as Saturday am.
Idk when there s only 15 people in here, It s a Tuesday afternoon and there s still 30 people in front of me. And I ve been here 2 hours. Not saying this is terrible. But it s no different then any other DMV experience.
Easy check in online n can change your schedule time in case u are running late, and nice people including at front desk. We remember in Virginia it used to take 1-2 hr depending on the day. But here, < 30 minutes and I guess the online checking avoids most of the waiting time.
Very fast and friendly! First time I didn t mind going
Phone number is always busy. I've been trying to call someone for a week.
Just called to see if they could track where my driver's licence was in the mail (it's been more than a month) and a very blunt and horribly rude lady told me it can take more than 45 days and not a second later hung up on me before I had a chance to ask my second question.
Super fast, super friendly and super efficient. Making an appointment was a great idea by the state.
When I was waiting in a 4 hour line back in July I noticed several people come to the check in desk to state that they never received their driver's license in the mail. I thought, I bet that's going to happen to me too. Surely enough it did. It's currently September 10th, and I've been waiting for my license since July 18th. If you are going to this location try to check in online beforehand or else you may be there for 4 hours (no exaggeration)
For a government agency, I have never had an issue here. Yes, there is a wait. Why would you think there would not be. Get there when they open and it is much less a wait. Employees have never been rude. Whole renewal process went smoothly.
I had to go get my license renewed today and let me tell you I did NOT feel safe inside the DL office and the blatant disrespect I received from an employee is completely unacceptable... not happy about today.
Came in a half an hour before closing and they said they weren t accepting anyone and it wasn t even busy. Even if it was, they are suppose to take people up until closing. At least that s what other DMV s do. What a rip off. Especially since it WASNT busy.
Terrible all around. Read website carefully before going and still didn't have everything I needed.
This is always a lousy experience. Today is no different. Long waits with ridiculous requirements for driver's license renewal. Makes me hope we can grow government!
