Enjoyable, I liked the underground shopping complex. We didn't go to "Top of the Rock" as people do but the rest of it was pretty cool.

It's a nice tourist attraction. Lots of places around to eat or have a drink. We went in the spring so they didn't have the ice skating rink, but there is still plenty to see and do.
Great views of NYC, get tickets online to not get backed up waiting to purchase a ticket.
SO crowded and with very shove-y people who also walk very slowly and stop abruptly, so be really careful/mindful with your bags and hold your kids' hands so as not to lose anything/one (but note the date of this review and know this is by far the busiest time for this location)
Always great Time in Nyc and the rockefeller center is good stop
I love this place not because of it s beautiful but it s like dream place to work
Loved going here!! Went to the Top of the Rock! Got amazing views of the city and way better pricing than the Empire State Building!
Free to visit and look around. Worth the time to stop by.
It is a beautiful place, tall buildings and plenty of people. Get ready to be push around, stepped on, and wait in a long line if you want to do ice skating or eat in the restaurant.
Just like the movies , love this place so much vibe
Very beautiful in December. I recommend going during December so you can see all of the lights and sounds. It was wonderful. We stayed there for several hours. Explore explore explore. It's a great experience.
It is so beautiful, if you can overlook how crowded it gets then you will have fun.
Amazing! Great opportunity to see Broadway plays. I recommend the Christmas season.
There are more than just one facility at this place.
Love going to city. You should visit the in the morning. It's not as busy.
Fantastic place, 17th of April 2019 and still they've got their Icerink. What an amazing sight seeing people skating and having fun on a mid April sunny day in the middle of a big city. If only I could skate I would've had a go.
I did not go up in Lady Liberty. The last time I visited you could not go up for it was closed due to the 9/11. I really wanted to take some pictures and crowd watch. In fact crowd watching is pretty darn good here. The diversity of the people visiting sure makes a statement for the beliefs and reason the monument was erected. The other icon on Liberty Island was American Choppers Liberty Chopper. It was enclosed in glass to protect it from vandals and weather. It was one of the best works the Teutuls have ever done.
January easy access
Nice view
Great views and much faster than Empire state building
Everything is pretty pricey in the area, but that is to be expected. Nice area to explore.
Loved it very festive, I'm from California I love N.Y. city we always go to Rockefeller Center during Christmas and will do in the future God willing.....
A great place to see! Lots of shopping! Go to the top of the rock! My favorite:Atlas!
National historic landmark. This urban space seamlessly integrated into the fabric of midtown Manhattan. It is a maze of prestigious buildings and attractions.
Touristy crowded but good energy and vibe here. They have ice skating tree during the winter. Good for holiday and there is a light show right by it.
Even better in person than on TV and on a nice sunny day!
What can I say? One of the most beautiful places in NY. Love Ben and Jerrys ice cream, and watching skaters. The walk around the plaza offers beautiful flowers and fountains.
Definitely a cool place to check out before you die
Very nice 360 degree views of the peninsula from both the sides. Tickets are expensive though.
Rockefeller Center is a large complex consisting of 19 commercial buildings covering 22 acres (89,000 m2) between 48th and 51st Streets, facing Fifth Avenue in Midtown Manhattan, New York City. The 14 original Art Deco buildings, commissioned by the Rockefeller family, span the area between Fifth and Sixth Avenues, split by a large sunken square and a private street called Rockefeller Plaza.
Great place to visit at christmas especially with children
Amazing experience taking my siblings enjoy of the holidays walking around feeling the excitement of the crowd expecting Christmas and NYE
#ilovenyc
Loved it, conquered my fears and enjoyed the awesome views.
you have a 73% chance of getting engaged when you walk through here, buyer beware
Beautiful! Love how the blocks are cut off on certain streets for more spectating space
Beautiful skating rink and statue outside, plenty of shopping, and a cafe with delicious food, all in one spot. I mean, come on. It's Rockefeller Center, it was during Christmas, saw the tree...pretty awesome.
Wish tree would have been decorated but was very beautiful to just be there!!!
it was very unorganized and crowded. impossible to get around with small children. People were pushing and almost crushing the little ones walking. Definitely did not like it this time around.
I don't know why this place attracts so many people, because there is nothing but a winter skating rink and a statue on the road. Surrounded by many buildings, many tourists are scrambling to take pictures, as if this is the representative of modern America? In fact, it is not true at all, because no one works or lives here, but at least it is free to pass through.
Must when you re visiting NYC.
So many film and serie took place here the spirit is good
Lots of cool shops to visit, fun place to go for a day outing and within walking distance to subway stations so it isn't a hassle to get there. Also be prepared to spend some cash, there are a lot of cool stuff there!
Love going to see the tree for Christmas wish I can do more there
First time there and it was awesome unfortunately the lines for everything were hours long the week before Thanksgiving!
Great plce to visit any time. Top of the roc visits ate time you could end up waiting several hours but great views
Phenomenal light show. It is always packed with tons of visitors. The trees are always impressive. It's a beautiful place to visit.
Lovely shops. Well presented building, liked sering the history of it getting built.
Great all-around views of iconic New York skyscrapers...Northern view use the paid binoculars for a view of Central Park...Bring your quarters
This is a must stop if you visit the area. So much history in this building. I'm glad I was able to visit this building and learn of everything that goes on here (past and present).
Needless to say, this is a top attraction in NYC for many good reasons. But if you are like me and don't like quining, definitely check out the Rock first thing in the morning, at 8am, or just after, try going before 9am, if you can. If the weather isn't great, but you want to see the view, let the staff downstairs know that you'd like to go up to the bar for a drink and save on the ticket, but get the save view (albeit, not the entire 360 view). Neat trick ;)
Great place and the top of the rock is great at night, but the ice rink is ridiculously expensive. $50 for 2 people to skate, that's with their own boots, $13 extra each if you havent got them.
No wonder it was quieter than every other rink we visited.
Centre is impressive. Shops overpriced. Top of the Rock is stunning view, but crowded and feel very much like being shoved along a conveyor belt. Maps for sale but difficult to work out what you are looking at - would it hurt to have some labels at the viewing level?! Very different to Boston Pru Tower where there are labels, audio tour and can flow around in your own time. Christmas tree and skating rink awesome.
Loved it the was amazing .must do if you visit nyc for the holidays
NYC visitors especially (and even locals) - This is one of our true gems. It houses some truly iconic establishments - Radio City Music Hall, NBC studios, Today Show live broadcasts, Rainbow Room, Top of the Rock, and of course the Christmas tree and ice rink. BUT - it's also historically interesting and one of the city's two best examples of deco design and architecture.
Top of the Rock. IMO, this beats Empire State and WTC. It s pricey and gets really crowded, but I think it s the best view of our city. It s high enough to see downtown, Brooklyn, NJ, etc. But unlike the others, you also get a spectacular view of Central Park, 5th Ave mansions, and the upper west side.
Do a little reading before you visit (easy online). The history of why Rockefeller's son built this place as a kind of atonement for the "sins of the father" is remarkable. So is the controversy around the mural in the main building. The murals are remarkable, btw. Also, learn how and why this is the site of our famous Christmas tree.
The Rock was designed as a city within a city. There are two levels below ground housing shops, restaurants, etc. Originally, there were movie theaters and a bowling alley, too. Along with shoe repair, cleaners - all the necessity services. It also connects to the BDMF subway lines. And the idea was that people would never have to go out into inclement weather to live/work.
SPEND SOME TIME HERE. Every building is a treasure holding something unique. Lower level has around 75 shops and restaurants!
COUPLE OF TIPS - there are clean public restrooms on the lower level, north side of the ice rink area. There are several places to get good food at reasonable prices. In good weather, take it to the plaza. In bad weather, there's seating indoors on west side of the ice rink
Visited during the holiday season. All lit up at night, the Christmas tree is spectacular. The Cafe has a delicious beet salad among other appetizers/entrees.
This is a most visit place, wether you re just passing by to watch the Christmas tree or if you just want to shop through their stores while looking into the building structure..
Perfect to spend an afternoon with friends and family in one of its restaurants..
Great views uptown and downtown. On a cool March day there was almoat no line. The entrance looked geared to make a long wait more tolerable.
What can I say? One of the best go-to landmarks in NYC especially during the Christmas season. Lots of movements and love
The tree is beautiful.. one of those "must-see" items from my bucket list!
Always Classy.. Lots to do !! Great to visit with the whole family.. vendors are friendly & courteous.. Ice skating area is small, but a "must do, atleast once in a life time"..
Very good experience when we went up to the observation deck. We had to go into the ground floor booking office and book a slot for a couple of hours later. Good system, as it lessens the queue when you go up. Once up, you get amazing views of the city. Better than the views from the Empire State building, not least because you get a view of that. You also get a better view of Central Park. Plenty of shops, restaurants and coffee places on the plaza level, and as we went over Christmas, the ice rink was on. If you can only fit in one trip up a skyscraper whilst in New York, this is definitely the better choice.
I love coming "home" and seeing all my memories growing up here.
Great place. You can go for shopping or you can have a coffee. Definitely you should go up to the observation deck and see the city from the clouds...
Brilliant experience. One of the best in New York. Very educational with excellent displays on the way in and a video. Staff are very good at what they do. Panaromic views of the city. I recommend viewing the skyline at night.
Outstanding place to visit. One should never ever miss to visit the place
Top of the Rock Observation Deck at Rockefeller Center - the best panorama of NYC.
Kind staff, amazing views, fun stores to peruse when you're done! Loved this place for a quick stop in NYC! Definitely somewhere I would put as iconic and worth returning to every chance you get to visit the city
If u love skating or just strolling...this the place to walk. At the front is the Cathedral
.
I finished this in about 45 minutes. Was waiting for my friend to finish it for 2 hours. Absolutely zero places to sit or wait comfortably whatsoever before or after. I asked where I could wait for my friend and the staff gave me a half hearted shrug. I had to stand on solid concrete for over two hours and it really killed the rest of the day because I could barely walk. Horrible customer service!!
The view here is stunning and their cocktails are amazing.
Always a great stop if you're in the area. They frequently showcase pop up galleries, street performances and events plus there's plenty of iconic #ites and shops nearby.
Fantastic Christmas lights. Quieter during the week
It turns into a very beautiful place during Christmas time.
When you are in new york you just have to visit this place!! What a skyline!!!!!
The view from the top floor is breathtaking. If you haven't done the tour, especially at night, it's a must!
Expensive but beautiful. Our tour guide was awesome.
A great place to people watch. A must see while in NYC. Beautiful during the holidays.
I was trying to reach Simon and Schuster. My good fortune was speaking to the security guard in the lobby at RC & him then providing me with the number for the reception desk at S&S where my good fortune continued when I spoke to another gentleman. BOTH of these men could NOT have been any nicer. I am sorry to say I didn't get their names but it was in the afternoon on Thursday, Sept 3rd early afternoon 1-2 pm. I hope you are able to find them and recognize them for their kindness and above & beyond attitude!!
The view of New York is breath taking. A must for any visit to the big apple
Beautiful Illuminati sculptures everywhere. Also the Christmas tree was gorgeous
Try to get there in the Christmas season to see the Christmas tree and always wonderful to see, even in the middle of the night. Seeing people visiting for the first time and seeing them have that experience is special
