This was a very quiet and clean little area of shops with a playground for my child to play on. I also noticed they have a lot of cameras which I appreciate, especially because there was a man begging for money while showing people some kind of surgical or scar thing on his chest or stomach. Aside from the homeless person who wanted to expose parts of his body, the place was pretty neat and had some great shops.

Sceptical but satisfied. The Commons were recently renovated and the renovation took to long and was way over budget but results are good. I think it has done great things for the downtown. At night the Commons are now well lit and feel safe. There should be more outside restaurant seating incorporated like you see in Burlington, VT or any European city.

This place used to be called The Commons. Now any common folk are scarce to be found. Wealth and gentrification are taking over to the detriment of everyone else in the community. They spent 15 million dollars renovating this pedestrian mall for the 3rd or 4th time in my life time. Then they gave massive tax abatements for 2 huge, luxury housing developments that no one from this community can reasonably afford. All so wealthy hipsters can walk to $12 cocktail establishments and call themselves "sustainable". The only place worth going to down here is Autumn Leaves Used book store. Use the rear entrance and avoid the stink of "Downtown Ithaca".

Came while out here visiting for my cousins wedding, I ve never been to Ithaca before and have only heard great things. It lived up to my expectations for sure. We walked around for the afternoon. It s very cute, and all the shops and restaurants look cool. The streets are really clean, i would love to go back sometime.

From out of town and stayed the night while traveling. Walked through the commons at 8pm on a Saturday and NOTHING was open aside from a pizza joint and hole in the wall bar in which a friend traveling with us got sick from beer line cleaner that wasn't properly flushed from the lines get into his draught beer
