Bad service,I have to request to change my room for another room, the next day when we get to the hotel the cleaning lady told me she can't clean my room because they were too busy,my daughter order dessert it was pretty bad it was horrible don't have my coffee no towels shower running water all night it was pretty bad
Beautiful hotel. Great service, clean rooms, and excellent amenities.
We stayed here for two nights right after Christmas. Its very big and the reception area can deceive you very much. It was very clear by looking at the bathrooms that the hotel is very old and they managed to renovate parts of it or at least thats how we felt looking at it. There was big patch of water soaked area near the ac but we already moved our luggage and didn t want to bother for another move. So, we stayed put. Shower was very weird and it was too difficult to control the water flow. Bath tub would take ten to fifteen minutes to drain after shower. We went out at 9:30 am out and came back at 9:40 pm to find that the room was not cleaned, used towels left as we left them in the morning, sheets scarred on bed, coffee cups not replaced! I usually go on a vacation to escape from my daily schedule and let someone else do the rest while I worry only about relaxing and having fun for a change. So, yes the sight of that night made me very disappointed. When we called the front desk, the lady said that she just came in and sorry about it and asked if we want it done then but I was already very tired and wanted to get a shower and hit the bed. So, we said No and asked for clean towels at least and those came after half hour! We stayed in hotels so many times and this never happened to us before. So, I guess I am more disappointed because its the first experience.
Doubletree by Hilton is located on Cypress and Trask streets, near Westshore mall and TIA. The king room I stayed in was very nice and clean. Rooms come equipped with ur own coffee maker as well as a 47 inch LG Flat screen TV. The pool and jacuzzi area was very elegant. The service I received from house keeping was awesome. Looking forward to another night.
Very clean rooms that help was that mean ice free shuttle from the airport the back I felt very comfortable for being held over
Came for Gasparilla and so far our stay had been great. Would definitely return.
This is a great place to stay in Tampa. The staff was very nice and had great customer service. We were there for two days until going to a booked resort on the beach for our belated honeymoon. They provided us with drink vouchers, suprise wine and cheese, and had some great suggestions on what to do during our stay.
Excellent for workdhops, conferences etc. Close to airport and central tampa
Make sure to get a pool view room that they should describe as the quiet rooms. Other rooms are facing the interstate and they very noisy.
I travel a lot and stay at hilton properties. I stayed at many double tree hotels through out the country as well, however this is not double tree quality hotel. The rooms are run down and small.
Pool had no towels, went to front desk, an hour later still no towels, we left.
No microwave or fridge in rooms. They wheeled in a fridge that smelled so bad.
Layout is terrible.
They lobby and cookies are about the only nice thing.
This gives hilton and double tree a bad rep...
We left and went to another double tree in the area.
The rooms were great the bar was fun and the employees were nice
Only stopped in for the bar/restaurant but seems like a nice place and full amenities.
Poor check-in experience. Room did not match reservation. Room was dirty.
This hotel is really close to the airport which is good but it's definitely out dated. Over half the outlets in our room didn't work. We asked for extra sheets for our fold out couch and they said that they would bring up right away. 30 min later nothing. Went down asked again, still waiting in our room for them. Been over an hour total.
Not alot of parking for somewhere that holds eventd
Pool area nice, room needed to be cleaner. Pillows definitely need to be replaced. We traveled with a group. We had about fifteen rooms booked throughout the hotel. This was the feeling of most people in our group.
my first Double Tree. not impressed with room, stingy on towels. breakfast sevice was aweful and food ok. if i stay in another one hope to be impressed better.
We were there for an award ceremony. Upon entrance it's not very far to go. Pass the restaurant and there we were right there. The room was very spacious. It fit about 300 people including tables chairs two buffet services and there was still plenty of moving around room. Food was excellent. Flavored well and plenty. Servers were well mannered and kept cups full and area cleaned. The only issue I would say it the walls at times seemed to be a bit thin and event next door came through the walls here and there. Being that there were a few events happening at one time parking could have been a slight problem but there is plenty of space around them and they have a parking garage.
The place is in a desperate need of being remodeled. When I checked in the lady gave me a room that was completely filthy it was never cleaned. I had to go all the way back downstairs and she provided me another room. It was like a maze getting to that room. The walls are in desperate need of being painted oh, once we got in the tub faucet was running even in the off position. This hotel was not worth what we paid for even if it was one night
By far the worst DoubleTree I ever been too. The room was very subpar, worse than a lot of budget hotels I've stayed in like Motel 6 and Extended Stay America. I understand that you can't have an open breakfast because of covid but they don't even offer any complimentary seal breakfasts. Everything is an extra cost. No breakfast, no room cleaning, very old room in need of a remodel. What exactly am I paying for at DoubleTree prices? Not to mention the power went out for a few hours during my stay on Sunday and they had me on the top floor. So I couldn't even get an elevator at one point during my stay. Unless you get this hotel at $50 a night, do not stay here. You'd be better off staying at a chain budget hotel.
Old needs updating. Staff works hard and VERY friendly.
I'll start with a basic description. The hotel is very very old. I'm talking popcorn ceilings in your room. The air conditioning sounds like it was made in the 40's and is doing everything it can to stay alive. It is soooo loud.
Here is what you need to pay attention to. There is something in the air system of the hotel that literally stuffed up everyone in our group. We had around 50 people traveling together and all of them were congested when they woke up. As soon as we spent a couple hours breathing fresh air outside we were fine. As soon as we went back in our rooms we would instantly stuff up again. I believe their is a mold issue in their ventilation system. There was black mold on our shower curtain. If you have any kind of breathing difficulty....which I don't..you definitely do not want to stay here. The state should send someone here to do an air quality test because I assure you what they will find will shut this hotel down.
If you are a coffee drinker you can go to the restaurant while they are serving breakfast and get one to go. After they close though you are out of luck unless you are willing to drink the gross stuff in the room.
I sincerely hope this review helps you.
Food was amazing. Staff was polite and very swift. 4* only due to them forgetting about a food allergy.
The beds were awesome. The bathrooms could use a little more water pressure, but besides that it was wonderful
Ok room.. Hotel was very busy and staff barely paid attention to you.
Friends booked a room here after their wedding. The first room they were placed in was not clean. They were relocated, but to a room that was not as nice.
Overall it's not a bad hotel, but if you get a cheap rate thru Priceline like I did, they stuck me in the back of the hotel with the very loud highway right outside my window. If I paid full price this would have been unacceptable. The room was very nice, big bathroom, fairly quiet regarding hearing other guests.
Two minutes after I arrived a fight between college kids broke out, Minor but they handled it.
Customer service is fantastic. Everyone I've encountered has shown a high level of interest and commitment to making sure my stay is enjoyable. Would rate the service 5 stars. The reason for the 3 star review is the condition of the room and items in it. The trash can and do not disturb sign are completely missing, and the door to our 5th floor balcony was not latched when we arrived. As parents of an active toddler, these were important items to us. The room was generally clean but somewhat dated. There were makeup stains on the washcloths. Also, the king sized bed seems smaller than the one I sleep in at home. However, the room is quiet and while pretty sparse, it does the job. If I had the chance to stay here again, I would look for a more family friendly hotel. A lot of the guests here appear to be airline pilots and employees and other business travelers. A good enough place to travel for work, but if you are travelling with small children, look elsewhere.
Not as nice as portrayed. Room smelled horrible had to change rooms. Which they did accommodate to a less smelly one however the sheets smelled pretty bad the first night. The room was never vacuumed even though housekeeping dragged one around lol. Would not recommend spending more than $60 a night for this hotel. It cost me $100, not worth it!
Rooms where nice carpet and flooring out dated in hsllways
Older hotel. Rooms are ok, but smell moldy and can be humid, even with ac running.
Room was nice and clean... However never received wake up call I set up which was needed for important interview.
Went for a work event. Staff was friendly and helpful with our lunch service. I've been to events like this several times before and it's always nice.
some of our client they came from doubletree by hillton, and keep saying they got used to live in there, should be real nice place to live.anyway, live in double tree is very close to our spa few mins drive can be here and get real good massage after long trips....
Honestly the DoubleTree reminded me of an old hotel that was bought by Hilton and hadn't yet been remodeled. It was clean and nice. Breakfast was great (though not worth $17 a person). The hotel just seemed old.
Very nice hotel in a great location.
Hotel shuttle staff is excellent. They run to the airport every 30 minutes, are always very friendly, and are always on time...especially to the airsides ;)
We came to this hotel for an event. The road noose has been absolutely terrible and the room is right next to the staff break room with an incredibly squeeky door that makes noose through out the entire night. We went to our event and when we came back at 4pm, the room had never been tended to so we called down to the front desk. We had to call THREE times for towels and on the third time the front desk said if we called sooner they would have had it taken care of. I informed her we did call and that this was my third time calling. Terrible service.
Excellent...Staff goes above and beyond..
Desk clerks were professionals and polite...
Shuttle drivers were very helpful and courteous.. Evan and Gian Carlo in the restaurant were exceptional...Friendly and helpful.. Will definitely return and recommend to family and friends..

Staff are very helpful and friendly, location is great. However, the room on the side of the freeway is extremely noisy. The quality of the room is poor, the comforter in my room had holes in them. The toilet ring was woren out and scratchy. The carpet is also dirty, the sheet and bathroom towel had stains on them. The thermostat display is also broken, so I don't know what temperature my room is setup to be. If I didn't see the double tree sign I would have guessed this is a sketchy motel. Will not stay here again.
It was a very clean place, the service was phenomenal and very professional.
Nice hotel and pool spa area. Close to downtown and all the hotspots
We stayed at the Doubletree for Superbowl Sunday to Leroy selmons the shuttle driver and everybody at the hotel we're actually want
As a Hilton honor member who stays many nights in Hilton properties, I will never stay at this place again, I have never been treated a bad as I was here. First of all booked a king room, was stuck in a double queen and told that is all I can get, relief using my status to upgrade myself and was once again told I wasn't getting anything else but a double queen. The room was absolutely horrific, the staff member I dealt with was condescending and didn't even try to accommodate me. This is gonna be the last Hilton property I will stay at. Once again I strongly recommend staying away from this hotel. If you do stay here be prepared to be disappointed. My six day stay here, has now been cut Down to one day I'll be moving to a real hotel property that actually respects the guest.
Great staff. They made up for the tired and beaten hallways.
The toilet didn't work and the kids room the shower didn't turn off and sheets was dirty
Went to a bridal event there. Didn't see much, but from what I did it was rather nice. Will be looking into them as a possible venue
Absolutely gross. Had a total of 3 rooms (would have been 4 but I asked them to check it ahead of time before moving yet again, they later reported it smelled like smoke and didn't put me in there).
First room had this disgusting bug smear on the wall that they then tried to give to my coworker. Praying it was only a smushed roach! Couldn't wait for my trip to be over.
Attended a work event. Staff was friendly and professional.
Room was decent - a little overdue for updating but it was clean.
Was here for a networking event. Food was different, but really good. Didn't stay the night just spent a few hours here.
Great location near Moffitt International and the airport with plenty of dining and shopping options nearby. Our double room 490 had a balcony overlooking the pool area. Room was spacious, wifi speeds were good. Check in was quick and friendly.
The rooms are a little old. The conference rooms are nice.

Usual Doubletrees are pretty nice. Between the highway noise, crappy view, drunk lady in the hallway at 2am and ok restaurant, next time I will pass on this spot.
Let me start by saying I love hilton- but this location was just not it!!! We requested a king-size bed along with a pull out bed sofa- the pull out bed was broken... and there were no sheets. The metal was bent, it was on a complete slant so you were either going to roll down or roll-off. I called and explained- the lady at the front says okay sorry but we can bring you some sheets at least. I said we would be glad to pay a little extra for a different room and she explained there was nothing else available.
Decent place, priced Right. Facility is clean and maintained well but needs a renovation. Definitely outdated compared to others. Location is convenient and has shuttle to the airport.
I stayed here Christmas week for layover witj my airline. Dec 22 and 23. I had an amazing time. Very friendly staff.Kendall always welcomes me with a smile and treats me like family. They also have lovely buffet in the morning. Jonathon was the night manager and he was super friendly helpful and accomodating. Thank you again.
The facility was clean and the staff were professional and courteous
The shower didn't drain. They knocked on the door with a do not disturb sign.
Wish I could upload a pic of the bug I just found in my room. Not turning out to be a memorable experience and won't be returning or recommending.
Not impressed at all. I frequently travel for work using priceline to book my trips. I got what seemed like a great price about $90 total per night. I was excited until I walked through the door of my room. Honestly, if I would have known the room or rooms looked like that, I wouldn't have even considered this hotel. As a contractor, I take pride in my work. That being said, I would expect a hotel with the reputation that double trees have earned, to hire contractors who do the same. I'm not sure if it's because I booked through priceline that they gave me she shi***est room they had, or all their rooms were done by cousin Jimmy and uncle Bob.
