Doubletree Hotel Skokie Il Review

The double tree was nice and clean with a friendly, attentive staff. The bathrooms were quite small though and there was not a good variety of pillow styles.

Went to the banquet hall for our office event. It looks good and the food was great too.

Beautiful lobby. Rooms outdated and bathroom. Tub was clogging up when shower was running and it was some type of red residue in the tub( maybe from a cleaning supply)The front desk sent somebody. He took about 40minutes to come by that time I just decided to take a quick shower because check out time was approaching. While in the shower the tech knocks on the door and proceeds to let himself in and then saw I was in the shower and scurried out. For the price it s not worth it and it s much more beautiful hotels in the area with up to date rooms and bathrooms. Very disappointed in this stay.

My room was clean and cool. The hallways were muggy. The staff was friendly and responsive.

My friend and I came in for a comedy show and stayed at the Doubletree hotel. We have never been treated so well by a hotel in our lives. The gentleman who checked us in was professional and personable and even called our room to ensure we were happy with our accommodations. But the real reason for this review is because of the hotel bar staff. There are 2 bartenders at the Jameson Charhouse who were absolutely fantastic. The first night we were in town we didnt have a plan on what to do so we went to the bar. They were very entertaining and had wonderful personalities. Our drinks were delicious and very reasonably priced. The next night we had our show at the north shore PAC, When we returned to the hotel bar there was a reserved sign on the bar with our drinks already made and waiting for us.i have never in my life been treated with such high respect and regard. We felt like royalty. Thank you Frank and John for making our mini vacation extra special and memorable. We will definitely be returning. If only see our new mixologist friends.

Reception staff was friendly. Room was in the ninth floor... Clean and quiet. Only complaint would be that the bathtub had a slow drain.

This building is outdated and in need of refurbishment. The services provided in the room are substandard as well, including the coffee making facilities, which are incredibly poor. A relatively low-cost suggestion for improvement would be to have either Nescafe or Keurig coffee makers in each room. Otherwise the room was clean but the signs of wear and tear are hard to ignore.

I booked a king bed room!!! When I got to my room it was a very very small one with a queen bed!!! And wifi connection was so bad!!! I told the front desk about that no action was taken!!! So not happy with my stay!!

Cozy, nice atmosphere, very welcoming, great view of the intersection from higher rooms, very good breakfast with lots of choices.. Value for money.. Highly recommend

Room was great, nothing special. Plain/boringish decoration... Very cheap coffee machine in room. No breakfast unless you go pay at the restaurant. Very nice staff. The room did what we needed it to do. Sleep.

DoubleTree is always a good choice to stay. Would recommend to anyone that's having a hard time finding a decent place to stay at a reasonable price.

Parking is available however there may be a charge. Centrally located for ease of access

Google had a price listed for the hotel, but when we got there, the price was $30 more. The shower curtain did not keep water in the confines of the shower, so water was everywhere following the use of the shower. To add, there was no continental breakfast. Otherwise, it was a nice room.

Loved the hotel! It was clean, comfortable and the employees were great. THE COOKIES, however, were amazing. That was truly the best part of staying at the hotel. They gave us cookies when we arrived and when we were leaving. I ate mine and the ones they gave the rest of my family.

Very disappointed. Our visit was for two days starting August 8 to August 10th. At arrival, the room was clean, and found no problem. On August 9th, we returned to the hotel, to find our room was not touched. Complained the the desk, and was told he would remedy the problem. Gave them at least 1/2 hour, returned to the room, and again nothing was done. slept in a room that had not been cleaned, and a unmade bed. The next day, complained again and had to argue for at least 15 minutes for a discount.
The head desk staff seemed to not know what they were doing. Completely unprofessional.

Check in went smoothly, but the room has a slight funny smell. Also, the AC knob is completely broken and doesn't work. Additionally, we signed up for 3 adults, but have received either 1 or 2 sets of towels each day. Overall, not a very professional experience, and I doubt we'll be staying here again.

We had to stop due to our car needing repairs and the people at the front desk were extremely helpful in figuring out how to get to where we needed to.

I was here for the World Pyramid Conference. The layout was a tab but confusing but we'll lit. The sparse conversation I had with the staff was only for directions. 4/5 Pyramids are magic.

Hotel isn t up to par on Hilton standards in my opinion, in the rooms you can hear everyone that walks by. I was told that I had one of the nicest rooms they offer yet the wallpaper throughout the room is falling off. Breakfast is 20 per person a day. However right across the street is a ihop. The breakfast should be free, holiday inn has better breakfast. Also there are homeless walking through hotel trying to open up rooms, I ve witnessed it myself and told front desk and nothing seemed to get done cause they same guy has been here all week.

Clean and in a nice area with close driving proximity to everything Chicago without being in the thick of it.

The food was very good but the atmosphere was a bit loud. Overall a very tasty meal though.

The staff was friendly and the Valet service was great. My room was on the last floor of the building, but it was a nice place to rest after my busy day. The hotel was clean and well-kept.

Beautiful decore and great service and conveniently located near many restaurants and a shopping center with easy access to a major highway, keep coming to this location each year

The front office has a very courteous and friendly staff who magnificently booked me with no delays. The rooms, facilities, amenities, etc. are very wonderful and I'm sure that I will come back here again someday.

We were at the event and one of the worker there told us that we were to loud. It was the way he telling us. I didn't like that at all.

The hotel staff was friendly. I found that the parking situation was horrendous. Also check in took a very long time. Rooms were clean.

Room service left you wanting. Made beds daily but didn't leave clean drinking glasses.one day i had to ask and they did. Next day nada and didn't check on coffee condiments. Last day they shorted us on towels. It was quiet tho

Great spot, loved the digital key. Room was clean, and the requested extra pillows from the app, were in the room. Only thing missing from my app request, was the additional towels.

Very helpful staff. Accommodating and helpful to guests with wheelchairs. Very polite staff.

It's a nice location, a bit far from the rest of skokie but everything is easy to get to. It's not something to write home about. It's not gonna be the highlight of a trip but still nice. It's also pretty close to O'hare compared to the rest of Chicago. The hotel itself is a nice place, it has an average indoor/outdoor pool and the lobby is a decent place to meet, not too large but lots of seating. 7/10

I love staying in double tree hotels but this one was missing something... It didn't 'feel' like a double tree

It was alright, i didn't really stay long enough to get the full service experience of it.

Everything was great, except there were several room service trays left in the hallways that weren't picked up for over a day.

Booked through Expedia. The price was great! Maria and all the front desk staff was courteous and professional. We enjoyed our stay and the COOKIES...!!!

The toilet didn't flush very well and the lights flickered on and off. The worst part was we left for breakfast and when we came back housekeeping had just cleaned our room and wouldn't let us back in so we were forced to check out before we were ready. We will never stay here again....very disappointed

I'm not a picky person and this hotel was just fine. The location works well for me. There isn't a lot of heavy traffic in the area. Quick access to shopping if all sorts, including a mall. Friendly staff. Room was clean.

This place is great. The staff is very attentive. Located closer to a performance center, restaurants and shopping. A quick drive to Chicago Northside. Close to I-94 and McCormick avenue.

Professional staff. Comfortable rooms. Stayed two nights for a conference. Food was exceptional. I would go out of my way to attend a conference held here again.

Hotel is nice but rooms are small especially for 2 people. Buffet breakfast is good and service is phenomenal

I attended a seminar in the Versailles ballroom. The space was nice, and the hotel staff were extremely courteous. I found our lunch to be a tad lacking though

Fantastic hotel. Had our wedding block here and rehearsal dinner and everything couldn't have been better.
