Very fun, stayed here during a snow storm, kept me warm, awesome pool, will come back

Very clean, comfortable bed, and very friendly staff. Loved it!

We did not stay overnight, but the location and atmosphere of the hotel were lovely! Would love to visit again!

Nice hotel. Beds were too hard and not exactly comfortable, especially when you are sleeping on them for 3 nights, but the pillows were super soft and staff was very friendly

Went for drinks / appetizers and the service was fantastic as usual.

Check in was great, room was very clean and great restaurants near by.

Nice hotel with clean rooms. Staff was excellent and Maria was very helpful in getting us transportation to and from our client site. There is a good restaurant attached to the hotel that was reasonably priced. The hotel is within walking distance to shopping and other restaurants.

Facilities are clean, and the workout room is good for the size of the hotel. Food at the attached Jameson's charhouse is delicious, as well.

When we got to our room it was very small. The bathroom was small, there was no microwave and the mini fridge didn't work.

Had a fantastic stay here. Friendly staff, clean rooms, priced affordably. All around good experience.

Neat little home away from home. Very courteous front desk, especially the morning shift manager and his crew. They could do better with sound proofing the rooms.

Very modern hotel with fairly standard amenities and a decent amount of parking. Close to shopping and the yellow line Skokie Swift train. Noise does carry from the event spaces up to the rooms though. Was pretty noisy up on the 5th floor from what sounded like a wedding reception.

Property on Skokie Blvd. across from loads of shopping. Plenty of rooms. My room was on the 10th floor.

Room was quite spacious and adequate. Large desk which was quite comfortable to work. Plenty of outlets at convenient locations. Bathroom was well appointed and everything worked as it is supposed to. Nice set of amenities. Shower was good with good water pressure. Temperature in the room was rather warm, even with the thermostat set at 60F. From the 2nd night there I figured I could crack open the window. This helped hugely and took care of the temperature issues and I could get a comfortable nights sleep.

Nice lobby area with plenty of seating. Fresh coffee available throughout the day with some Apples and Fruit for the asking. Did not eat at the restaurant.

Overall quite pleased with my stay.

The front desk customer service is wonderful they go above and beyond to make your stay wonderful and inviting!

The Double Tree Hilton is a great property for both staying as a guest as well as attending an event. The staff was friendly all around from check in through check out. The event staff were constantly checking to ensure we had everything we needed. The housekeeping staff did a great job with little things like extra towels without asking. The event rooms were updated with a modern look. They were spacious and configured well for our event The hotel rooms were nice rooms with updated decor. The bathrooms were good & updated. The bed was confirtable and I slept well (which is rare for me) I'd recommend the Double Tree Hilton for both personal and business

The hospitality and cookies were wonderful, attentive crew and very friendly

North of Chicago, our stay was a pleasant surprise Whit the incredibly warm reception when checking in. The hotel itself is clean as were the rooms. We enjoyed the nice heated pool and there was was a very nice mall across the street to explore.

Attended an event on the top floor with magnificent views of the surrounding area. Food, drinks and service we're all excellent! Highly recommend.

Hotel is very clean and friendly. Also, very large. They have a tower with a dozen stories and another wing that is about 4 stories. Restaurant attached with bar. The pool area is pretty nice with and indoor and outdoor pool. Right across the street from a mall and iHop.

I would recommend this hotel to friends. The beds were comfy and the staff very friendly. The view from our room wasn't too bad either. :)

Nice lobby with fireplace and love getting a cookie at check-in. Great location across from a large shopping center and eateries all around. Got a room where there was heat only and we were not informed of that during check-in so we could decide if we wanted another room. It was brought to the staff's attention and they took care of us. In the future any guest staying in a room where you can't fully control the thermostat should be alerted ASAP. Bathroom was small and the gym was OK. Call before going down for the gym to make sure you can access it because it's only 2 people at a time and you have to get a key card from the front desk. Also, space guests out if you only are at a certain capacity - you don't have to put everyone right next to each other. Fridge in room, microwave upon request for a fee.

It looked fancy, but to be honest only went there for a class. But it looked real nice in the lobby, so I can only imagine what the rooms look like. Parking lot is kinda dumb, but it happens.

Always a pleasure staying here. Staff is friendly and helpful even at times when issues have nothing to do with the hotel. Looking forward to my next visit.

While i have slept on a cheaper feeling hotel mattress, i have never slept on such a worn out hotel mattress. My wife and I were both sucked to the middle of the mattress as the edges were probably 6 inches above the middle. We both woke up with our backs hurting. Unacceptable.

The bow is visible without any weight, but becomes huge as soon as any weight is added, and is not a sinking in feeling, but the too of the mattress coming down to where the insides are permanently formed to from use and abuse.

We went to the Jameson's Charhouse. They had delicious food.

Good hotel with good prices. Pool area is not to big.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about having our wedding at the Doubletree and I don t know where to even begin. Of course your venue is one of the most important things when planning a wedding but part of it that many people don t More

The rooms weren't very niice at all . The bathroom was very small and there was no breakfast served and unless you want an apple. For the money they charge for the room you should get more for your money. I wiuld never go back there. I stayed in a lot of hotels and the had nicer rooms and they served a free breakfast.

Was unclear on breakfast, beds were on the too firm side. Otherwise was nice, and a convenient location.

The staff was super nice and accommodating. The hotel was kept up very well and breakfast was wonderful. For as many people that were staying at the hotel it was very quite and we were able to get a good night sleep.

This Double Tree was a great short stay in Chicago. I was greeted by a friendly concierge with two warm walnut chocolate chip cookies.

My room was clean and pretty large. It was a little hard to find, but not too bad. Once in there, working the thermostat was surprisingly difficult. Despite being set around 64, my room was well over 74. I had to open my window in the 20 degree weather to get the room to a reasonable temperature. My colleague had the same problem in her room.

The bathroom was clean and had good water pressure. The soap was really nice. The staff at the hotel and adjoining restaurant were very friendly and helpful.

Hotel is in a nice location, about an hour by the metro to downtown.

HVAC system has to come into this century. It has an old system that has to switch from heating to cooling with the season as opposed to heating or cooling on demand. I haven't seen an old system like this since military days. Nice property otherwise but your rest may be effected. I was there on a warm spring day with no AC available so was uncomfortable sleeping.

Seems like they had a more recent renovation. Overall very good, but the heaters in the room stick out like a sore thumb and dont work great. They seem to be from the 50's.

Great service, friendly staff and clean rooms. They were able to accomodate our eating needs (vegan). Shuttle is a plus and saved us s lot of time and money. Maria, at the restaurant is the best!!!! Only 4 stars because the bathroom is very small and dated.

People seemed really nice but, rooms were horrible. First room we had originally given the shower had rust and the paint was peeling off and room didn t look clean. We asked to be moved to another room and they had no problem moving us but the shower was even worse. Large rust stains. Thankfully it s only for the night. Other than the rooms everything else seemed nice.

Having stayed at this property for over 20 years, this is the best version of it yet. There clearly is an initiative towards customer service throughout. Every employee I interacted with was friendly and helpful. Enhances your stay. The property is older. It is what it is, but the rooms are comfortable and there are a variety of places to eat and shop at nearby.

Full service hotel with restaurant, meeting rooms, pool, and fitness center. Nice rooms, fast internet, and concierge service. Hotel has plenty of complimentary parking.

We were there for a special event in the banquet room on the top floor. Nice view and the food was good.

Staff there is extremely rude. I stayed at this hotel for ten days and they made me feel like I overstayed my welcome. The cleaning ladies were nice and generally they tend to be. The rest of the staff made me feel like I should have stayed elsewhere. Especially rude was the front desk staff. The breakfast at the attached restaurant was disgusting eggs were watery and cross contamination is a thing. But the restaurant manager thinks otherwise, I spent nearly $2500 bucks here and I feel like double tree owes me...way better options in the area never again!

The cookie was a nice touch and the room was nice. My only harsh word would be the bathroom is cramped as the door swings in and blocks the toilet.

The hotel was nice and the service was good. The reason this is receiving a low rating is because my AirPods were stolen by the housekeeping staff at the hotel. Left on my bed, came back and couldn t find them. Didn t want to cause a stir so once I got back home I did a thorough search of my suitcase and my suspicions were confirmed. That is not ok, but other than that it is a fine hotel. Just need to hire staff with higher standards.

well, I have to say I'm disappointed in the doubletree. I booked and paid for a room in advance, I upgraded to what they are calling a larger room. I'd hate to see how small a normal room is. It's a very old hotel that's been given a bit of a facelift. It still feels very old and dingy. The bathroom is tiny, you can't open the bathroom door if someone is sitting on the toilet because their knee are in the way. I had high hopes to surprise my family with a really nice hotel for our thanksgiving weekend, but instead I'm embarrassed. We've stayed at holiday inn express's that are nicer and newer then this hotel and cheaper. Don't buy into the pictures of the cool modern lobby, it starts and ends there. Also, the attached restaurant/bar isn't much better. The food was fair at best. I never write reviews, but this place compelled me to.
UPDATE: so I'm updating my review now that we've stayed here a few days. I 100% agree that the staff is super friendly and helpful. Our room is incredibly quiet which has been great. I still have issue with the decor and size, but have become OK with it. we haven't tried the restaurant again, but there are lots of nearby choices. Stay again? I would have to think about it, bunt if they had a special on the room rate, I probably would.

We have stayed at various Drury Inn locations many times over the years. Their properties are clean, comfortable and include amenities such as breakfast and evening snacks, free internet, and an indoor pool and whirlpool. They are also dog-friendly.

Great place to get away and think the beach is here soon.

Comfortable, clean, safe, close to restaurants and shopping and only 30 mins to downtown Chicago!

We had out of town wedding guests stay here over the weekend. Adrianna was very helpful and efficient in coordinating a room block reservation for a great price, supplying me with a list of those staying and directing me to other services the hotel offered. All the guests said there rooms were fine. The hotel offers a free shuttle service, which was a great benefit to our group. The hotel location is excellent, near I-94, Old Orchard Shopping Center, drugstores and restaurants. The hotel itself has a good restaurant with a private room that we used for a post event breakfast get-together.

Very nice modern hotel. Emil checked us in and was great my Girlfriend recently sprung her ankle and was in an orthopedic boot.. so he got us a room right next to the elevator!
