We had an emergent type of check in after bad weather flight cancellation, so the day was already stressful and long. I kept seeing how we would get greeted with the famous Green Tree cookies and nothing. Not even a cup of coffee or water. Very cold Customer service. We would have been better at Comfort Inn.

This hotel is the worse I've ever been.. after the air company cancel my trip they book me this hotel to spent the night while I wait for the next flight. To start the shuttle bus didn't appear after one hour waiting, so I had to took a taxi.. then when I finally arrive there they give me the worst room possible... with the motor of the air conditioner of the whole hotel just next to my window.. the noise was really horrible, impossible to sleep.. after two hours trying I was devastated so I decided to change the room.. this time in a high floor... for my surprise it was if not equal, even more noisy than the other one.. I don't know if it was because I was near the lift but opening the window I realized that there is a complex next to the hotel full of air conditioner machines that makes impossible to rest in peace.. So if you are plan to go there.. prepare your ear plugs. Time spent in the hotel 7 hours... time sleeping=0hours
Very nice and efficient staff. We had a problem with our room's window and they fixed it immediately. It was so convenient to leave our car in their covered lot and take a shuttle to the airport.
Large room, beds were comfortable. Bright light outside window but blackout curtains were fine. Bathroom is a good size with separate shower and bath. Cold water available in lobby. No breakfast included but there is a bistro in the am plus steakhouse in the evening connected to the hotel. Perfect location for conference center, just be careful crossing the busy street.
Nice place and staff, even though I was only there about 6 hours. The cookie wa amazing as usual! Only. Complaints, the fitness room could use a yoga mat for sit-ups, and my laptop wouldn't connect to the wifi. Maybe my next layover here I'll have some time to check the surroundings and have the breakfast that I heard was really good :)
Easy Hilton Honors check-in, standard Doubletree cookie, what's not too like? I was here for a short stay (10pm-5am). Had dinner at the neighbouring steak house which was fantastic, live music was great.
Hotel gives you a warm cookie as soon has you check in. Room, pool and lobby is clean. The maids are sweet and friendly. I would stay here again and recommend it to anyone.
Nice and convenient to O'Hare. I didn't stay here but stopped in for a bite to eat. Food was good. The hot seemed nice and the staff was friendly. I did notice that the hotel had a pool, which not many of the other hotels in the area have. Seemed like a very nice hotel.
Great rooms. Amenities and friendly staff. Would have liked to have known about a surcharge in my room price before checking in as it was more than what I was told my reservation would be. Which is fine for insurance during conventions. Had a smooth time checking in and checking out. Would stay again.
Stopped at Gibson's at the DoubleTree after a concert in Rosemont. The oysters and crab cakes are amazing! Service was wonderful even though we didn't get there until after 10pm. Will definitely be back soon!
Kelly and Ericsson at the front desk were amazing with their customer service and assistance when I needed it the most. Kudos to both of them for their professionalism and partnership in helping me during my stay. I highly recommend this hotel as the food was amazing and the rooms were very clean and beds extremely comfortable.
Pleasant and convenient overnight stay. Closer to the airport with some amenities around making it nice. I'd stay here again if I needed another single night.
My family and I always stay here when we travel for my daughters dance competition. Very nice hotel highly recommend nice swimming pool for the kids and also has a hot tub they have great drinks at the bar and the food is so delicious all staff is really friendly.
I've yet to go to a DoubleTree I have not liked. Cookies are always warm and delicious. The beds are very comfortable, the rooms are nice and clean. Very good location. You are very close to restaurants and O'Hare Airport. in some rooms you can see the planes landing.
Wonderful hotel and the staff is even more wonderful!!! Good location withing walking distance of good food and shopping. Room service is wonderful for those nights when you do not want to leave.
The only con is the air conditioning. I like my rooms cool and in the summer time it takes several hours to cool down. I know not much can probably be done about this, but that is my only gripe.
Large, Clean rooms, friendly staff. Restaurant and bar are overpriced, but that s expected for the area. Parking situation is less than desirable, but the hotel staff did their best to mitigate that for us.
We stayed here before our flight to China. It covered all the bases for what we needed, including transportation to and from the airport and a place to park while we were gone. The food was also good enough to get the job done.
I had an incident over the weekend I stayed at the DoubleTree that left me with limited mobility. I was so worried I wasn't going to be able to enjoy my vacation to it's fullest, but the staff at DoubleTree without any question to my situation allowed me to borrow a wheelchair at no cost. This literally saved my vacation and I'm so grateful for everyone there! I have to give a 4 star review however due to the limited parking and needing to use a city parking garage for $15 a day. Leaving the parking garage and returning also meant paying another $15.
Had to stay here over night because united had a 5 hour delay and i missed my connecting flight. It was a great hotel, very clean room. Good restaurant and great service
Hotel staff was great. Very helpful and friendly. Hotel itself was super clean and rooms were perfect. Beds are pretty comfy. Wish they had queens instead of doubles, but it worked out. Also can't beat having Gibsons Steakhouse there. Chicago Oven Fire next door at the Crowne is also very good. Fashion Outlet Malls is literally acroos the street and so many other things around there...perfect stay.
Hotel was clean and spacious. The rooms were taken care of and i enjoyed having both a shower and bathtub. The location was close to both the convention center and fashion outlets. Would stay at this hotel again.
This place was simply wonderful. Massive shower and tub, great sized room and TV. Friendly and courteous staff. Extremely comfortable beds, overall, just a really nice experience.
Probably the best hotel stay we have had in weeks. By far the nicest staff. Lost a charger cord. They went out of there way to get us a replacement. Thanks
I stay here every year but was super disappointed this time. Was on the Hilton Honors floor have allowed humming noise all night long but they did nothing about. When we checked out I told him about it and they said oh sorry here's another cookie. Then they have timeshare sales people that are dressed in DoubleTree clothing trying to rope you into purchasing a timeshare. Very disappointed
I had a good stay here. I stayed there for the anime convention, and it was perfect since it's a right across the convention center. The rooms were clean, and the cleaning service was great. I especially liked that when you checked in they gave each person staying in the room a delicious, warm cookie. I have no complaints.
Service was great! Free complimentary cookies really welcome you when you stay overnight. Quite atmosphere with a very open lobby next to the dining and little convenient store inside.
We stopped in Chicago on our way to Paris and were greeted by a warm, oatmeal chocolate chip walnut cookie. Our room was clean and fresh and very updated. Their free airport shuttle was fabulous - our driver Sal was especially helpful and informative. We were even given a late check out free because our flight didn t leave til evening. Wish we could stay longer!
An older property but it is being maintained nicely. Excellent front desk staff, food wait staff. Just have to avoid those Hilton Honors guys in the lobby that try to sign you up for vacation packages.
We were here for a NYE event. Upon arrival we were instructed by the outside attendants to park our car in front of the hotel and they even moved the parking cones to make space for my vehicle. However, we were not informed that valet parking was not available at that time. We checked in then went to dinner at Gibson Steakhouse which is adjacent to the hotel. As we were walking to dinner, I noticed my car was still parked out front. Other cars were there so I didn t think too much of it. I thought the valet was just backed up. After dinner, my car was still there. When we inquired about it, we were told that the tow truck had been called to remove my car because we were supposed to self park. We were appalled! Thankfully, we caught it in time but unfortunately there were other cars that weren t so lucky. Terrible breakdown in communication! In addition to that, there were no luggage carts available to make it easy to get our things to the room! Also, the walls are paper thin. I could literally hear conversations from the rooms next to us! I normally enjoy the Double Tree but I was sooo disappointed this time.
So rather than fixing the problems they complained to trip advisor to remove my review of how bad of a hotel they are. That was childish unprofessional and putting a bad aid on their problems rather than looking at their reviews as an opportunity and thrive to be better they decided to do The opposite which is do worst and covered up
No microwave in the room. It s on the 4th and 5th floor. So if u r on The first floor or the last Florida you have to take the elevator up or down so you can warm up your food which is extremely annoying TV remote doesn't work, I called the front desk an hour ago told them about it, they said they're going to send the engineer over, for how ridiculous that sound an engineer for TV remote it's been an hour and still no engineers here to fix the problem yet. There are more to a hotel then a bed.
Was a good stay! Staff are friendly, and the cookies from the front desk are fantastic. The room was bigger than expected, so lots of room. Probably one of the best things was the view. Had a nice view of a street with Christmas lights and traffic.
Biggest nit I had about the room was you couldn't even crack the window, so it gets humid and hot real quick if you have several people taking showers. Another was the mini fridge was too cold and ended up freezing some stuff towards the back. Walls are a bit thin, but not bad for a hotel.
United airlines put me here because my plan was 2.5 hours delayed so I missed my connection. It s a standard DoubleTree. The restaurant was very good and the bartender was really nice. It was pleasant stay.
The worst receptionist ever. I visited to this hotel with my friend and experienced rudest unprofessional disrespectful person at front desk. His name is Seibou, we wanted to get informations and questions about the parking and stay at hotel but he was helpless and laughed at us constantly along with his coworker receptionist and ended up arguing with us. It was not worth what we payed for for our visit.
Always a great place.to stay near ORD. Rooms are nice, but could use an update. As always, I love the cookies. Even better the hotel is attached to a Gibson's Steakhouse.
Nice hotel convenient to the airport. It can be loud due to street traffic. Windows in rooms I've been in do not fully close due to faulty installation. This allows noise and outside air in. Obvious maintenance issues not addressed on wall and ceiling surfaces. It does make me wonder about their fundementals on maintenance of their facility. Customer service is fairly good overall. Counter personnel are very good.
The staff is friendly and helpful making everything from reservations to check-in a breeze. If you need anything during your stay they are happy to help. My room was clean, had a modern feel, and was comfortable. The public areas of the hotel after very nice. There are a couple of restaurants here and several choices within walking distance. There is a shuttle to the airport running every 20 minutes.
Enjoyed our stay the only reason I'm not giving this place 5* is they placed me on the 2nd floor next to the gym. It didn't seem too busy so not sure why they couldn't have put me ANYWHERE else. Had to request a new room due to hearing weights dropping next door after 10pm.
Great rooms and a short easy walk to the surrounding conference centers. Beds were comfortable and the room had a distant view of the Chicago skyline. Walk in shower and separate bath in the bathroom. Room provided a safe, ironing board and iron, and fridge. The hot tub was empty which was pretty disappointing.
Nice hotel. They give you free cookies when you check in!! I think they have plumbing problems. I've been to 2 different rooms and the toilet didn't flush on one room and the toilet handle had to be held down for like 5 seconds to flush in the other room. The only have drink machines on certain floors. Rooms are very spacious. Housekeeping came by like 4 times.
Very nice hotel. Convenient to O'Hare and reasonably convenient to downtown. Only 123 to 16 miles to city but heavily trafficked area. Public transit available and Ubers and Lyft are usually in the area since close to airport. We stay here to see family in city and to travel to Rickford to see other family. About an hour drive from there to Rockford. I have stayed here 4 times in past year. Rooms are spacious. On site restaurant, Gibson's well known and high end. We ate there twice- amazing food and service. Front desk and valet staff are so nice and helpful. Always appreciate in room fridge which a lot of high end hotels do not have.
Wonderful hotel. Clean rooms very friendly staff. Great location, close to the convention center outlet mall. Convenient shuttle service to the airport and surrounding venues.
Pros: This hotel is conveniently located about 15-20 minutes from Downtown Chicago. You're welcomed with warm cookies. The rooms are clean, quiet, and the water pressure and temperature are great.
Cons: The first front desk agent was very quick to explain the parking policy. I ended up having to go back down and have another agent explain how the parking costs work. Also, the price of parking is a little steep. $15 per day if you leave your car in the garage and $29 per day if you decide to bring your car in and out. If you go with the second option, you have to visit the front desk every time to get your ticket validated. This became quite time consuming because the parking garage entrance is not on the same floor as the lobby.
The place was wonderful. The rooms were clean and well kept. The staff was friendly and helpful. I missed out on the free breakfast because I didn't know that served it in the attached restaurant. I really liked that the windows opened, nice fresh air nine stories up.
I left my key in my room and my ID is in my room. None of the front desk would let me in the room and gave me a hard time with coming up to my room. Made me come all the way downstairs for a key. Never checked my ID or anything. Very safe hotel, wouldn't you agree.
I had no choice than to stay in DT for my cancelled flight overnight. Rooms were good. The whole hype they do with the breakfast is not worth it. Right from the front desk of the restaurant to the waiter - everyone where like this guy got a free room and food, so let's he is not warranted for good service, greetings. Poor experience. Being a stock holder of Hilton, I feel very bad holding the stock.
Great place to stay. Bathrooms are really nice. The only thing is the double bed rooms are only full size beds and when sharing a bed not really enough room.
Rooms were clean. Beds a little stiff. Room service was fast and accommodating. Overall, a nice stay. Walking distance to the convention center and a free shuttle to/from the airport were a bonus.
Big three star Hilton is a Worldwide brand DoubleTree.... nice rooms amazings staff but facilities extremely poor The gym is not a gym .. thats all the marvelous fitness center... please time to improve this that you call gym.!!!!!
Hotel was clean and the staff courteous. No cookies were given to us upon check-in. Was happy with the room mostly because of the separated shower and tub. The water pressure and temperature was excellent. The hot tub was down so i was disappointed by that. Check in and out was very easy. There was a 55 inch tv in the room. Also, the people talking outside the room sounded as if they were in the room. This mostly happened in the mornings.
I didnt want to leave this review but... I've been given no choice. My recent stay was an awful experience to say the least... Matress sheets were bleached so much they were abrasive to the touch. The same goes for bathroom towels, they were so abrasive I scrapped my skin from under my eye. The matress was nice but the room was incredibly dated. I think my recent stay at the Marriot in Broomfield had a friendly staff, more contemporary room and better location then this drab of a soiled franchise name. Room service didnt service our room one of the nights, breakfast is outrageously over priced, how does $17 dollars sound to you for scrambled eggs? Theres no microwaves in the rooms, believe it or not. No I'm serious, its one on the 4 floor... some community .9 cu ft 750w microwave that takes 45 minutes to boil a cup of water if you wanted tea. Its certainly not worth the price of admission. Look Elsewhere.
