The stay was good but a perfect stay would get 5 stars. Minor things were not right. For instance, the bulb was burnt out in the light in my room. I feel like there should be some sort of inspection for such things.

Very nice room. Bathroom is a bit small when we tried to give shower to our daughters, or try to get ready. And outside noise could be little roudy, but other than that, breakfast was great, Kyoto garden was nice little space to enjoy outside. We can walk to some nice markets, which was really nice. But because this is in the center of downtown LA, traffic is so crazy. If you plan to get around by car, you have to look like 10 mins/ each mile.
I've stayed at the Hilton DoubleTree not too long ago and that's stay was very nice this time however it was a little off. After a good hour on the computer making it so my father's card was on file with extra money it wasn't in their system when we arrived so we had to wait for the manager next morning anyways he paid a $700 reservation for two nights at 3 50 and night which is far too much money for what we ended up getting. mind you this is a Tuesday for what we paid we should have been getting the suite instead we got two queen beds, and a small little bathroom. Since we arrived so late we were askingif they might be able to upgrade us to a better room . On our way here we notice it Expedia and a couple of the other sites had king size beds available one right over the the Garden area and for what we could have got at other resorts which would be hot tub room with 1 bed. We definitely overpaid. Well I set my clock wake me up at 6 cuz I have to be somewhere at 9 well it turns out the clock was actually set 2 hours behind the actual time if I would have just relied on that I would have woken up two hours late 4 my appointment. Not cool. So the next morning I was already a little frustrated and then they tell us at breakfast our membership for the Hilton is it on a high enough level to get a Buffet breakfast which last time was compeded by the front desk. believe me with those prices you should have not had a problem with our honor points. So we decided that we are going to go to Disneyland the following day. since there's a DoubleTree over there and Anaheim trade for the time we had for tomorrow. Tonight they said that they cannot do anything for us it was on from another company can we basically put it on credit ring to be coming down here again soon add to credit the room to the our next stay. Well the manager wouldn't work with us he said that this is not our policy and that we would go ahead and have to eat to 350. We ended up staying in LA . Unfortunately l. Could have got king size bed with two twin beds separate room private bathroom Anaheim Disneyland Resort $ $200 .06 miles from Disneyland. I can't complain about the servers in the restaurant and I can't complain about vallet who watchhed my truck cuz it would fit in the six foot parking structure height limit underneath the Hotel. It is a nice place but this time I was rather disappointed
I can t sleep, it is 12:05 AM, I am in room 611. I can letterly hear every single car that drives . Obviously being in downtown, there are multiple cars that drive by every second. I called the front desk to change rooms but they are sold out they say
They made our anniversary staycation perfect by preparing us for a simple presentation in our room. The hotel staff and everyone in the hotel are amazing. It was perfect for us since we were leaving for abroad days after. Thank you so much, guys! We will definitely come back soon and recommend the hotel to my friends and family.
The staff at DoubleTree Hilton are top notch and will do whatever they can to make sure that your stay is great. However, it is clear that with the large # of people visiting the hotel at any given time that it is hard to ensure unauthorized persons cannot access the building. We encountered such an issue that affected it stay, but as mentioned previously, the staff was responsive and quickly resolved for us.
Great place, great booking cost. 25$ breakfast that ended up giving me heartburn, not so great. No prices were told before the breakfast, so felt a little gotten at that. Aside that, fantastic experience.
Very nice, moderately upscale hotel. Convenient to all the downtown attractions. Staff was attentive and helpful. Room was very clean. Onsite self parking is pricey. Overall had a great experience.
The hotel was amazing inside and out and aesthetically pleasing, but my room in specific wasn t so up-to-date and refurbished and had a slight smell coming from the carpet. The wallpaper was peeling in some small sports and there where other slight damages to the furniture and curtains. Lucky the staff was very sweet and the location of the hotel is great because it s located right next to a mini outdoor mall. But as all hotels the items on the menu are pricey and so is and service you ask for. Personally I think the cleaning service staff was the better at answering my questions than the front desk.
Great hotel, a little off the center, around there is practically nothing but for those who choose Los Angeles for a few days and go see Universal studios or Disneyland is perfect, 30 minutes from the studios and 45 from disneyland! Clean and spacious rooms
I like this hotel because you aren t far from the angels feild it has a cool little gift shop and Starbucks. If you have kids the hotel has a up stairs pool it s amazing and you can see the Disney land fire works if it is not windy but over all It s awesome
Staff was friendly and check in was easy and quick. The room was nice and when I needed a new light bulb they were fast and courteous with the service. The Kyoto garden is nice as well. Would book again.
Our room adequately sized and furnished with a king sized bed, two arm chairs, a desk, a closet with safe, and bathroom with shower. About the bathroom though, it was insanely compact. You could not use the bathroom without your legs hitting the door. The pivoting side of the bathroom door, shower tub, and toilet were all placed within 2-3 feet from each other. Overall the stay was still great.
Went to a gala banquet. They made double wide tables so if there were items to share across the table, you had to stand up and reach over your food to get it. Awkward. Food was a little above ok
I did not stay at the hotel so my experience is based on the Kyoto garden. We went in and checked out the beautiful garden at the rooftop of the Hilton. It's so cool to see a Japanese garden in the middle of downtown Los Angeles. It has a beautiful waterfall and a great place to do professional and wedding photography. This is a great Instagram spot!!
Location is great with civic entities nearby (city hall) for government business. Price was great. Rooms comfortable with good cleanliness. Abundant food on the block and a couple of blocks from the art district with fantastic hipster bars, brewery and restaurants. Good space for conferences.
Worse experience, even for these times. Staff is friendly, but forgetful. The hotel charges full rates, but has no amenities and needs updating. No food, no cookies. Every other hotel I have been too in the Hilton chain has at least had a bag packed breakfast, some bars open or at least alcohol available for purchase, and food. I have stayed 80 nights in Hilton Hotels out of these first 165 days of 2020. Never been so disappointed.
Very cute boutique hotel. Fresh white tulips, shades of blue, greens, whites, and light tones of brown furniture in the lobby make it calming and welcoming. Rooms carry the same color tones making it very relaxing. Room is a bit small, but I really dont mind because I'm just in there to sleep anyways. It does have high ceilings which help make it seem a bit bigger so you get more breathing room. Also, they have happy hour - complimentary wine for all guests. Minus one star for lack of signage...we drove passed it quite a few tiimes before finding it. FYI...its near Medicine Eatstation. Once you see their sign, you're just about there.
Staff is pretty nice, the location is awesome if you want to be around little Tokyo. The rooms have pretty thin walls, you can hear someone sneezing from the other room. The complimentary items are nice, you can get a toothbrush, toothpaste, comb, razor and other useful things. Also, one of the elevators had a broken floor, which happened to be where we were. You couldn't press your elevator number, so we'd get to a floor below and then use the stairs. Not too bad, but it is inconvenient.
My wife and I stayed for a Friday and Saturday night as a treat for my 42nd birthday. The service and staff are friendly, attentive, and very helpful. The room service was delivered on a table with tablecloth, and the gentleman knew exactly where to position the table, so we continued to enjoy the majesty of the hotel through our meal. Overall a great experience!
