DoubleTree by Hilton Los Angeles Downtown Reviews

I've stayed here numerous times and always been happy. The rooms are nice, it's a great location if you want/need to be downtown, and the restaurant Justice is very good. It's also close to Dodger Stadium. I've had a few minor issues, but they're always taken care of right away and the staff is great.

Hotel could use some updating. Complimentary breakfast is "meh". Conveniently located, but like anywhere in DTLA you're surrounded by the zombie hoarde of homelessness.

No free wifi available at all unless you are an HHonors memeber...

Beautiful Japanese Gardens, great and friendly staff, and they give you complementary super delicious cookies! It is a bit on the pricy side, but for us it was worth it to avoid having to deal with LA traffic and parking and crowds given that the event we were attending was in the hotel itself. The location is also really great because it is right next to little Tokyo! You can walk a block away to get great ramen or mochi or visit a small Japanese market!

You hear alot it noise from the street and the comforter on the bed is kinda nasty. But hotel itself is nice. The staff has seemed friendly

Clean. Gorgeous room with great views of downtown LA. Attached parking garage was a nice feature. Close by to many nearby restaurants and shops. Beautiful lobby dispatch. Starbucks in hotel!!

Parking is 38 a day , even after you pay alot for the room . Room was clean

The Double Tree in Little Tokyo has a beautiful garden on one of it's roofs that I would recommend visiting!

Lovely hotel located right in the middle of downtown LA. Walking distance to Little Tokyo with all of it's great eats. Beautiful unique Zen Garden, which is a wonderful spot to relax. Would return for another stay.

Excellent interior inside and out! I found this incredible place by accident, but I am very grateful that I found this place on time when I badly needed a place to stay then. Their crew from the front door was very helpful, welcoming, and friendly. He was able to help me find the best room to take a rest and enjoyed my stay. Such an amazing service!

I parked in the underground parking on level B and I took the stairs to the A floor then I saw the elevator! One of the valet people came up to me and said "I can not park here. This is valet parking" I looked at him and said I just got here and I want to check in. Then he says once you figure all of that out then you need to rethink your parking situation. Because you can not park on this level. I literally saw that I did not park on this level. He kept insisting that I move my car... I told him that I took those stairs to get up here. He says "OH HAHA no one ever takes those stairs". I stood there and he was telling me that no one takes those. He made me feel stupid... What was u supposed to say?? Other than that the rooms are nice and the front desk people are always nice.

I love the double tree, and often stay there as we are hhonors rewards members since we travel often. However, for the first time since I had stayed at a doubletree I did not feel as if I was a valued customer. There was definitely a bias on who looked as if they had more money, as others were consulted and not I. It was new years eve, so most were dressed nicely for the occasion. We were tired from traveling. Also, despite being rewards members, we were not on one of the many honor rewards member floors. This was disappointing. Despite this, however, the room was clean and nicely kept. I enjoy thw doubletree hotels however, and hopefully this will not occur again. It hadn't before.

Very good staff attention. The shower in the morning did not have hot water.

-4 easy to access power outlets, plugs stay in tightly.
-2 hotel bars, Starbucks on premise, medium bodega shop, with good pricing (typical of Hilton in contrast to other hotel groups)
-The rooms are a comfortable dated 3star, the hotel as a whole is much closer to a 4star than the usual double tree.
-They give each room 2 of the low quality nestle water bottles, but each room comes with 2 reusable glass cups and a perfectly functional tap so this is a bit wasteful.
-close by to good, unique, and abundant Japanese restaurants, and the Japanese themed property tie well into that neighborhood aspect.

There's a huge rat infestation all around the building

Valet cars are parked along both sides of the narrow and short entrance drive way. Therefore, it is difficult to pull in for check-in. Countless homeless people are camping accross the street.

Nice, comfortable, clean hotel with excellent staff. I don't love where it is located in relation to proximity to touristy places. (It's not near much stuff, except the awesome art museums and the Disney Theater.)

The DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel provided great customer service while I attended a conference at the hotel. Their spaces were clean and well taken care of. I would highly recommend the DoubleTree when visiting Los Angeles.

Good location for trainings and meetings. Parking is accessible, wi-fi connection is strong, and staff is very friendly.

It was just fine. Decent location in DTLA - could walk to my meeting in the Times Building. It has a Starbucks connected, and of course those free cookies...

The DoubleTree by Hilton is located in downtown Los Angeles. There are many restaurants and coffee shops located in the vicinity of the hotel. The room is nice but kind of dated. The hotel staff was very friendly and I would give them 5 stars. There's a restaurant located on the first floor of the hotel and they also provide room service.

We love Hilton hotels. This was great location. Rooms were a bit older looking just needs upgrade like their other hotels.

Hotels are very pricey in Downtown Los Angeles. Doubletree might have the lowest room rates and its very close to the Union Station. The rooms are somewhat small, but they are very clean and comfortable. They have a bar and a Starbucks. I also noticed they a convenient store and gym. I really appreciate how they treated me; I was welcome with chocolate cookies and bottles of water.

Decent place, had a building maintenance (plumbing) issue and a problem being overcharged for parking. Had to dispute the later with my CC company after being assured by staff that a manager would correct it.

This is a pretty convenient location for anywhere downtown, including some pretty good restaurants. The service is excellent, and although the building is fairly old, the rooms are comfortable. As with any hotel in this area, noise will be significant, even on the highest floors, if you're not used to big cities.

Shout out to Sam!! We booked 2 nights and unfortunately had air conditioning problems the first night! He went above and beyond making sure we were comfortable and compensated for our inconvenience! Super customer service and the hotel was just perfect for our stay in LA!

The room is very nice, spacious, and it has a great view right into Downtown LA. The service has been prompt from the staff and the cleaning has been great. The location is very convenient, about 5 minutes' walk to Tokyo Town and about a 15 minute walk to the Metro Station. The location has definitely been very convenient!

EXCELLENT! The place was very classy and clean. Perfect for with friends, family, and loved ones. It was an amazing place to relax. This was also the best choice for your wedding proposals. I could see also that the staves were all very dedicated to their job. I must surely introduce your hotel to my friends!

Nice place to stay! Every staffs are kind, sincere response when guest have requested. Around Hotel, you can easily access to Little Tokyo where have special atmosphere like Japan. Also this hotel have wonderful and fabulous small garden in the G floor. You never miss it! Nearest mall is located where it takes 5mins by walk, across LAPD buliding. If I come back to LA, Doubletree Downtown have to be one of option I should consider.

Was easy to find where I was going, and the front desk was very nice in assisting us. The event room was well set up, clean, and very spacious for the small event I was attending.

Great location in downtown LA, especially if you like the various offerings of Little Tokyo. The building itself has been around for a while, but I don't think it shows too much. Rooms feel warm and inviting. Great in room views depending on what floor you are on. Parking is expensive. I would appreciate a discount for HHonors status members, but doubtful it would happen.

Very clean, quiet, and everyone was so friendly. All the amenities (transportation, business center, etc) were so convenient, and crucial for any trip. The hotel was super close to everything - Little Tokyo, Starbucks, and a wide variety of restaurants - and the area felt safe, both day and night. Couldn't have asked for a better stay.

The night before I got there a pipe burst in the ceiling or something and dumped water on the floor this water was not properly cleaned up and I got wet socks. Cost of breakfast is way too high.

Staff is really friendly and respond to all requests made with them. Located in Little Tokyo, there is places for a quick meal within walking distance. Hotel room is clean and the air conditioning is wonderful, especially with the LA humidity. A bit expensive versus inexpensive alternatives, but it was a nice stay out there.

Location was nice and staff were very friendly and helpful. Lamps have a electrical plug, which are next to the bed, it's very light weight, so be careful if you tug on your cord bc the lamp will fall on you.

Convenient location for our event, nice rooms, and good cookie. The airport shuttle is expensive though.

Good location, food and impeccable service. I was disappointed in the uncomfortable bed, dated room and the noise level from the nearby police station. Even though we were 12 stories up the constant noise from sirens blaring all night into the early morning hours made sleeping impossible. The bed was uncomfortable and squeaky. My wife and I had to leave after one night because sleep was impossible.

Best motel in LA! Very secure beds, and the rooms fell very homy. The motel has a awesome breakfast. The waiters are notable, and have been there for some time. There is also the option for omelettes and such, made by means of a skilled man who cooks them to perfection!
