Was completely disappointed in this hotel when we walked into a room it smelled like cigarettes there was cigarette Ash out on the balcony when we were checking in they said that was complimentary Wi-Fi but once you read the fine print you have to be a member to get free Wi-Fi otherwise it's $5 a day they do not offer a free continental breakfast you have to pay for it it was okay but I would rather go somewhere else for food I would not stay here again

The exterior, lobby, and restaurant make you think you are in a high end hotel. You get to your room only to find out the mountain view is blocked by a massive air conditioning unit and a high wall built for water run off. The space between your balcony and the wall is dead weeds and bird caucuses.
Add on to this, there is no room safes. So every time you want your kindle, iPad, cameras you would have to run down to the front desk and have them to retrieve them from their safe. So they have access to everything you want private. Which means they basically know all your med prescriptions. Also the room we were stuck with had 3-4 rooms sharing the same balcony. I do not feel my personal belongings are safe at this establishment. I highly doubt I will ever use this chain again. Stay well clear of room 291!

Very nice hotel with friendly service. The room was clean, although not large. The pool area was tidy and quiet. The bed was comfortable and had plenty of pillows of different firmness. We did not eat at the hotel, but there is a restaurant inside. Breakfast is not included in the room price.

No restaurant even though the website says they serve breakfast and dinner. They now charge $15/day for parking when the lot is empty....facilities need some updating....expected more for the price I paid.

Exceptional. We have stayed in every hotel in santa rosa. This is by far the best! The fireplace inside, fire pits outside, excellent service. Loved our room and patio. Usually plugs for charger are hard to find, but here they were plenty, loved having a fridge in the room. Lots of events going on but inside our room was silent. Had a great dinner, and late nite drink in the bar. Breakfast was reasonably priced, our waitor was great. A great getaway.

1. Good access (3 minutes from highway 101)
2. Excellent surroundings (surrounds the hotel with golf courses and parks, landscaped with lots of roses)
3. Friendly staff (mostly sweet and friendly)
4. Old facilities have disadvantages (like room renovations sooner or later).
5. The structure of the elevator is inconvenient (there are a lot of rooms, but there are two elevators and it is only a few minutes to go to the elevator if you are not lucky)

Lobby Bar listed on the in-room information binder closes at 11pm instead of midnight. At least according the only employee in the front after 11 at all, who knew enough English to say he didn't know and sorry a whole lot.

The lobby is immaculate, gigantic, beautiful, and just has that warm cozy feeling. It looks like something out of a movie. It's away from the highway so no noise pollution, the rooms are beautiful and spacious. I was just there delivering a lost luggage bag but even at 2 a.m. the staff was friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here.

Overall I had a great experience at this hotel and would probably stay there again. I was staying in the presidential suite for two nights. The suite was lovely, very clean and well taken care of. It's advertised as a pool view but the bushes around the sliding doors are so high that you can't see it at all and you get no day light. Also the room doesn't have a microwave which I found odd. I also would have thought with a presidential suite booking and being a top Hilton Honors member I would have got a welcome gift or wine or something but didn't get anything. The pool area and hot tub were wonderful, very clean and nice in the center of the hotel. The location of the hotel was also great. The other problem I had was that this hotel charges for parking. It is basically a hotel on the side of the highway with a huge parking lot. There is no reason they should charge. The parking lot was not new or nice, it was old and there were plenty of open spaces. They shouldn't charge at a place like this. When I called and asked about it I was told the management made the rule. I feel like whoever owns this should stop penny pinching on guest who already pay a decent amount for the rooms and make the parking free. There's no way more than 10% of the people that stay there don't bring a car because its not in a downtown central area. The staff was very nice at the hotel.

Clean hotel, quality, spacious room. I was surprised how big our room was and we had a shared balcony which was nice to be able to walk out on. The bathroom was also big. Overall it's exactly what I expect from DoubleTree and it's my favorite hotel chain to stay at.

Dated and overpriced. For $50 less, I can stay at the nearby Hampton Inn and get breakfast included rather than having to pay $15+ for breakfast. If the rooms were something special I probably would feel different. Hopefully, the picture I took of the room will be attached and make my point.

I commend any hotel for using energy saving led lights but using cold colored lighting makes the room unwelcoming. When I return to the area in two weeks I'll be staying at the Hampton Inn.

A lovely experience! We visited wine country to attend a wedding, but this Doubletree was marvelous find. A short drive to Armstrong Redwoods and other desirable sites to see.
Visiting in May, the hotel was surrounded by lush bushes of red roses. Service was outstanding and the hotel was inviting and so comfortable. Would certaining reserve a room here again. Highly recommend.

Decided to pay more so I could get that comfy bed along with a good night of sleep. Not happy with the Elephant in the room above me. Will never stay here again. Kids running in the lobby up and down the halls. I paid for this, can t wait to be back at home, next time I ll stay at motel 6. The beds are almost as comfy most important it s quiet oh and they don t change you to park your car $8.00 a night,, seriously WAJ

Very nice looking hotel and meeting room spaces. I was here for a work event and appreciated the coffee being available most of the time. No cookies at a Double Tree though, what the heck? Meal served during the meeting was above average. Very nice interior to the hotel and I like the design with wood beams and rock surfaces. Definitely recommended. It's off the highway a few blocks without much signage.

Diamond members don't expect much. No upgrade unless you request it and by the time you get here its whatever they've got. I'm not even on the Honors floor. Cobweb in room but other than that not too bad. Carpets are old but clean. So far I'm not impressed.

Stayed one night here. Location is nice but room is a little outdated.

I stepped on a screw by the entry way (below the light switch). We had a toddler and a baby staying with us so immediately we searched about the room and found two more screws on the floor. Luckily our kids didn t get hurt. Told the front desk lady about it and gave her the three screws. She offered us cookies.....

The toilet need some repairs as you can consistently heard sounds of water/plumping. We closed the door when we sleep so it didn t bother much.

Excellent service, nice and clean rooms. The staff is polite and ready to help. The hotel itself is a little away from the roads and still near restaurants and a brewery. The resturant inside the hotel is decent, but a bit pricey. I recommend the Club Sandwich as it's generous and comes with fries.
Don't forget to try the local apple juice!
