Just started working there first shift around 7-20-17 assembling GMC rear emblems with Lucille, she's my new mentor in life. Life out & in work, I've made a good friend. Kind people, at least to me everyone is. So far, loving it.

a company with a lot of issues! for what they pay, they expect the world from you! this company has absolutely no structure and or organization! as my first ever shop job this was a very bad experience! i was promised so many things and received zero! the lunchroom was never clean, left over food on the tables, burnt food stuck on the microwave and the bathrooms were discussing! very poorly managed company

This company is 100% garbage , Lapeer Plating sent 19,000-ppt of PFOS in July 2017 to the Lapeer wastewater plant, which sends its effluent to the Flint River, ultimately discharging to Saginaw Bay on Lake Huron. That number jumped to 34,000-ppt by October 2017

this place is by far the absolute WORST factory I've EVER worked at!!! i wouldn't recommend a homeless person to work here! very, VERY poorly "managed"! i worked here when it was called deco plate, in the early 2000's and it was a decent place to work. now however, it's worse than working in a sewer! our government is managed better than this rat hole! ppl are sooooooo depressed, supervisors don't care about anything or anybody. i worked in the plating area and let me tell ya's that area is DANGEROUS!!! BAD DANGEROUS! toxic chemicals on the floor, exposed bare LIVE electrical wires all over, horrible chemical fumes fill the whole area, ppl walking around without safety glasses and the line tech's that add the chemicals don't even wear ANY ppe's(personal protective equipment) it's dirty as hell, piss poor lighting, unorganized, and, the damn supervisors don't care! i pointed just a couple of these things out on my first day and all the supervisor said was, "u just worry about ur job"!!! they have "new management" but EVERYBODY says they ain't no better than the old!! if Miosha were to be called in I'll assure ya they will shut that place down in the blink of an eye!!! never have i seen so many ppl so depressed and hateful towards a company, NEVER!! ppl, as other reviewers have stated, STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM THIS FACTORY AT ANY AND ALL COSTS!! i quit today, 4-6-18 after 1.5 wks! the starting pay for the job i was on was supposed to be $12.25, according to management's STARTING pay scale ladder, but i was only getting 10.50! when i brought this to Joe, the "human resources manger" he said, "that's not the job your doing"! which was complete BS, because that's the job i was given, i loaded and unloaded the plating line, which was called "bar pusher/puller! and according to managements pay ladder scale, i should've been getting $12.25 per hr, STARTING PAY!!!! ppl i hate to say it but lapeer plating and plastics is an utter disgrace to the automotive industry, period! I'll pray for the ppl that are their but after a wk and a half, my butt ain't sticking around to get bent over, hammered dry and put away burnt! and, i am NOT writing this review cause i was fired or am a disgruntled FORMER employee, I'm writing this in hopes that LP&P's "management" will see/read it and perhaps, just maybe, take a look at just SOME, SOME of the things I've said in this review! but after 1.5wks of my employment with them and seeing first hand how they "operate", i HIGHLY doubt they'll do anything! this place is horrible, and that's an understatement ppl! stay away!!!
