Terrible energy company. They always cut the power at the most random and inconvenient times and it usually takes them 3-6 hours to turn it back on. They're always doing random work on apartment complexes and messing with the gas, electricity, and water and they're extremely inconsiderate. They're a monopoly in the entire state of Nevada, so they have no incentive to improve their service. I would recommend not moving to Nevada at all because of this company.

Nevada Power Agent, Van Camp, responsive to request for Energy Audit, given high electric/gas bills and deserves acknowledgement for being responsive to calls for an audit.

The luxuries that electricity allows me to have are something to be grateful for. I have hot water, lighting, music, television, a refrigerator, dish washer, pellet stove, oven, microwave, power tools, cell phone, bluetooth speakers, etc. Many people pay $100+/mo to Charter for only television and internet. I find the cost of electricity to be rather cheap when compared. I pay my bill each month and have no complaints thus far. Also, deregulation will make electricity more expensive, not cheaper.

I feel guilty giving this company a 1 star because it doesn't deserve a star at all. We were customers with them for 2 years and in the end, they screwed us--big time. They offered the Equal pay assistance program and made it sound glorious when we signed up. It was obvious that they hadn't exactly explained what was really going on. Since our bill went up in the summer months, we started accruing unpaid payments. Our end total was ~$1500!!!! So much for the assistance program. Don't sign up if you plan on canceling your account any time soon.

The power went out.... and then they got it turned on again!

It's not right that there is only one power company in town. They make things SO difficult that I'm sure the majority would switch companies IF THEY COULD. Ugh, the headaches caused by this company...good grief!!! I must say there a few specific staff members that are great, but the policies set in place or RIDICULOUS!!!!!

Monday June 11 2018 they sent a gas line checking employee to Diamond Creek and he parked in the emergency lane. I took a picture for future reference and the employee engaged in an immature manner as I was on my way. I shrugged it off and explained the fire lane is for emergencies only and has been constantly been abused by this company. As I went on with my day he continued to instigate an argument each time I had to pass by the individual. Extremely unprofessional, I only took this photo for evidence in case it happened again, there was no reason to harass me throughout the day.

I ve always had a great experience wort with NV Energy, they are an honest business.

In 5 years, I've only had two outages (I used to have that many a month when I lived in Salt Lake), autopay is easy to set up, the weekly updates on usage and estimated monthly bill is really helpful, and while I don't know how our rates compare on a national level, I'm paying a lot less than any of my friends in California.

NV energy has been number 1 in reno since the beginning. SPPC!
All these haters that can't pay their bills try to blame the power company for their lack of financial planning??

Really don't understand why you guys would not put in superchargers that you charge for so you can make more money at your location. I just don't know why businesses pass up profit. Isn't that what you're in business for, is to make a profit. Honestly I just don't know how Corporate people pass up stupid stuff like this and you guys are still in business.

I had a payment arraignment and instead of applying it to that bill they applied to the new bill and which is stupid I've done before the new bill and the rep on the phone was stupid and telling applied to the new bill so I have to.go.on a pay the payment arraignment part and new bill which is bull

Garbage! Should have got rid of them Fall 2016! Never have I encountered such terrible customer service paired with inadequate communication systems.

Scheduled electric hook up, someone snuck out to the meter while i was home and left without talking to me, then proceed to call and leave a message after hours so I couldn't call back and actually talk to them, I have called numerous times and they have yet to call me back

State sponsored monopoly. Reviews are pointless seeing as how we have no choice.

NV Energy S T O L E $105 right out of my checking account today!
I was not given prior notification and did not authorize the charge. My account was set up on auto pay and when I moved recently I was sure to set it up on auto pay right away to avoid a deposit fee. Well, the auto pay went through just fine!

I never got any notification of being charged a deposit yet NV Energy literally just stole $105 out of my checking account. I was expecting to be charged around $70 for my gas and electricity usage in my new apartment. Nope, $194.95. That s more than twice as much than I expected to be charged for electricity this month.

I was apologized to and told that was not the policy and it was some kind of a computer error. The super nice lady named Carol felt bad, I could tell. Nearly $200 was taken out of my checking account when I was expecting closer to $70 taken from my checking account.

This is completely bogus! You can t take $105 from me and then give me $105 worth of bill credits for upcoming bills. That s not the same. You took my cash and gave me a NV energy bill credits and pretend like it s money right here right now. That s not going to help me pay my other bills that are auto drafting out of my account this week! Thanks a lot!

Big corporate bullies!!! If you need cash so bad why don t you go get some corporate bail out, don t steal from your customers .

Worst service I've ever had. Was late on one bill now I have to go in and pay. They don't make paying your bill easy. Told me on the phone to bring a money order in to the office to pay my bill, i go in the office with a money order and they tell me they only accept cash or card. Now I can't cash my money order because it's not written out to me.

Nv energy sucks. To top it off this whole new "solar users are making everyone pay more" is a big load of crap, under the wrong context I can make anything sound like it's not beneficial for the whole town. Such bad corporate scheming and lobbying... Start worrying about your people, rather than your ungodly amounts of profits for Warren Buffet conglomerate.
