After being told of how DVN is the biggest and best by their sales associate, our experience after a preowned vehicle purchase was the complete opposite Unprofessional sales tactics bordering on dishonesty, not advising that the vehicle only came with one key FOB until after the sale and delivery took place. A replacement FOB will cost over $350 which was an unexpected additional cost. Poor customer service, been waiting over 3 weeks for a call back regarding this. Buyer beware, DVN is not what it claims to be, they will say anything for a sale and ignore you once the sale is final.

Update: I bought rust proof life time warranty, when I took my car for touch up they charged $40 not free or include. Very disappointed. They lie and not honest.
I tried to make an appointment 3 times with finance manager and I could not . Last time they told me go to used car! And when I got to used car desk and told them the story they treat me like I'm stupid... please find another place to buy a car ... these people they don't need business.... leave them alone. I got much better service in Richmond hill

I wanted to trade in my Tayota truck and buy a mid size car. I was introduced to Jasbir and i detailed my requirements. He patiently listed to all my requirements and suggested some options. He told me the pros and cons with each selection. He was never pushy or irritated with my constant questions about this and that for the various options. He found a excellent Camry for me which was a recent trade in. This perfectly fit my requirements. Jasbir was very knowledgeable curteous and always looking out for my interests and demands. He has a deep knowledge about the Tayota cars their condition and its long term reliability and how to take care of the car.

Absolutely horrible. Scheduled service appointment which I had to wait for 3 weeks, recieved a call few hours before an appointment telling me that appointment needs to be rescheduled, next one was available only in 3 weeks.
So they would give your time to someone else and make you wait?
Going to Toyota dealership who are $60 cheaper for the same service and can get my car into the shop in 2 days.

One worker here is very very very rude and arrogant!!!!! I won't even give one star to this place but there was no option to do that!!!!!

I had been buying/serving my two Toyotas for more then nine years at this dealership... About two years ago the service started going down - longer hours and bigger bills... Eventually I started suspecting that they were overcharging me by replacing parts that did not needed to be replaced and adding more work hours, but my faith in them as professionals was strong and I kept coming... Today, just accidentally, I figured out that they charge 20% more for parts and almost 60% more for their labour as compare to other Toyota dealerships - because of "high operational costs" - so if you want to pay your dealership the plastic surgeon rates - that is your dealship.... Moreover, if you have issues with tires or batteries you bought from them - they dont want to work with you to minimize replacement costs... So, its sad that after years of commitment and thousand dollars spent at this dealership I have to walk away with a hard heart..... Defenitely not A TOYOTA EXPERIENCE..... STAY AWAY from this place...

Worst experience with Toyota dealership ever! This dealership tried to rip me off.

I had an appointment on Nov 19 to do two things: (1) Replace a Brake Dust Shield - rear left (which came off due to rust), (2) Replace the thin, flexible, square metal shield under the trunk - undercarriage (also came off due to rust).

At the service desk, while confirming my requests, the man there told me that they "usually" charge $140 for an initial inspection. Right away I said no because I knew what was wrong and what needed to be replaced - no inspection needed.

After a while, he came back with quotes for the two services:

1. Replace the (one) Brake Dust Shield: $721 + tax: He told me that to replace the Dust Shield, the WHEEL BEARING MUST ALSO BE REPLACED. From my memory for the conversation, he said it would require 2 (or 3) hours of labor, $55+ for the Dust Shield, AND (OMG) $400+ (or $500+) for the Wheel Bearing.

Oh my goodness! To replace the Dust Wheel, the Wheel Bearing must also be replaced? Were you serious Don Valley North Toyota? It is true that the Wheel Bearing must be removed to properly install the Dust Shield, but saying it must also be replaced was ripping off. And not sure where how all of these together would end up at $721 though!

I was expecting to be charged for labor (1 hour max!) plus $40+ for the Dust Shield (this OEM part was sold online from another dealership for $40).

2. Replace the thin, flexible, square metal shield under the trunk - undercarriage: $334 + tax: He said this would need 1.5 hours of labor plus $190+ for the part.

Again, were you serious? To install this shield, just screw it in with 4 bolts. Nothing has to be removed or reinstalled. 1.5 hours labor, really? Also, I didn't know what that metal shield is called, but it was very thin, looked really cheap. No way it would cost $190+. Even if it was a heat shield, it would range from $78 to $144 max.

Final words for Don Valley North Toyota: If you are reading this and plan to paste the same answer you have given to negative reviews ("Please contact us at... so we can ensure a quick resolution"), please don't do so. If you really care about your customer and had no intention to rip us off, call us, and don't ask us to call you. We'd rather go to another local car shop to get it done than having to contact you and wait for your response!

I just bought my 2019 Corolla from Don Valle North Toyota, which is my third car with Don Valley North Lexus/Toyota. Mason Nazari was very helpful showing me different options and was very patient answering all my questions. He coordinated efficiently, my optional upgrades are done properly. Terrible. Couldn't even give me my appointment when I made it. Had confirmation and all... I had to re-book my appointment for a different day... Receptionist with an attitude. I honestly only went with Don Valley because of my parents knowing someone there. Toyota is an affordable car choice but the dealership has some serious customer service issues. I strongly strongly encourage and recommend people to try other dealers before using Don valley. I drove all the way down from Stouffville for my appointment... In my leased car. Like are they going to cover my mileage I used for both trips now...? My gas? Lol. So ridiculous. Like if you didn't put my appointment into the system... Don't send a confirmation email telling me it's been booked. *I have an email for proof of such.* Lol. Reception flips through some papers..."Nope, it's not here." Like, is that my problem? Friggin put me in somewhere. I don't care. I did my part of booking and being there on time... Lol. Once my lease is up. No matter what, I will go to a different dealer.

Purchasing a car can sometimes be overwhelming; however Sam Francella made the process seamless. I was recently in a car accident and had no choice to look for another car. Sam was friendly, informative and was willing to go the extra mile to see to it I was happy. When I first arrived at the dealership I was assigned to a different sales person who to be perfectly frank wasn't a great fit. I met Sam as I was about to leave the dealership and I was very grateful. Thanks for making a negative experience into an exceptional one :) Thank you for all your hard work!

the service is okey, just have your own opinion on what you want. I went there with idea of getting a financing on used Sienna and was talked into getting new lease. I have regretted that change of mind i did under a bit over persistent sales pitch. She was was more interested in what she wanted to sell you not what you really wanted.

Took financing on second car. This time experience was great. Dealership met my expectation as well as took care of some free maintenance as my second purchase was a used car. Huge kudos to service dept.

I was sent a letter from Toyota Canada to perform a recall on my vehicle. I was hesitant on getting my recall done on the car since there were known issues after the repair was done. I was told to take it to DVNT since they had a great reputation. I dealt with Amin who was the nicest and most sincere person I've ever dealt with. He made the whole process super easy and I didn't have to worry about a thing. 10/10 would recommend if you were going to go to service your car there to go straight to Amin. I promise that he won't scam you!

We just bought our second car from Don Valley North Toyota in 3 years. We bought our first Toyota (we used to drive European cars only - VW, BMW) in 2017, Logan Yuan at Don Valley North provided great service back then. Now we live at the far west of GTA, but we know business is always about people to people and people always go back to the people they trust. After knowing we are no longer live nearby, Logan tried his best again this time to get all activities arranged in the same time - from test drive to paper works. Logan is as professional as before and even more knowledgable and efficient, and tried his best to create a win-win situation.

We had an amazing experience ! We walked in to this showroom and thanks to May Wang we ended up closing the deal for toyota RAV4 XLE same day. May is very knowledgeable and professional sales rep. She answered all our concerns and gave us the price very close to our exceptions. Unlike other dealerships there was no pressure by May for the prices being valid only for one day ( this is all sales gimmick we experienced at 2-3 dealership). We were looking for black RAV4 which was unavailable then, but May kept her word and arranged the car in 2 days to give us the delivery.

This was the second time I dealt with Arman, the sales representative. He was receptive, patient, and always tried his best to close the deals. I would not hesitate to buy from him again if I am in the market for another Toyota. I recommended him to my friend, and they were so impressed by him that they bought a car from him right on their first meeting.
The shop is professional and spacious. However, there is no complimentary coffee, and the service fee is quite hefty, $140/hr.

Took my Lexus for an emissions test - service was slow compared to Lexus. Asked for the car to be vacuumed ($20), but the guy that does vacuuming wasn't there and they have a different price for Lexus vehicles.

TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED WITH TOYOTA !!!
Our Experience with this Dealership, and Toyota Canada, that we're not happy about... My Fiance bought a 2016 Camry (new), and couple months ago it was totaled and a write off by the insurance. Emma had bought an Ext. warranty (and it's suppose to be refundable), when car gets totaled.. Well, she only had 40K kms on it (still in the factory warranty part !!), and Toyota only refunded her approx. 40% of what she paid for it.
OMG !! What a scam !! Except for few free oil change perks that come with the ext. warranty, it's main purpose is to cover repairs after factory warranty has expired !! And you can buy it later before the factory warranty expires, but they always say it's better price to just get it now and roll the costs into the payment, etc.. and it helps you later, etc... Well, it's a SCAM, if they start counting the Extended part, from day one and come up with some really Scam formula of how to pro-rate the warranty used, etc.. and scam you out of your hard earned money for something that really wasn't and shouldn't be in effect yet !!! It's a Toyota Canada thing, but DVN Toyota isn't going to bat for Emma and trying to get her more $$ back. She bought her first car there and then traded it in, lost money on trade and didn't negotiate on her new Camry (cause she didn't know she can negotiate or maybe shy to try, etc.. so they made really good Coin $$ on these transactions from her), and they can't go to bat for her now and try to get her full or 90% refund of warranty that's suppose to be for late, BUT Only bought up front cause salesman says it's beneficial to do now !.. Shouldn't they disclose how it works ?? Who reads all the terms before getting the Ext. warranty ?! Total Scam !! They should refund the entire thing, if not at least 90% min.
They only offered her approx. $1,142 from the $2,489 plus tax she paid for what's suppose to be for after factory warranty.. and then DVN said the balance of that ($1,400), they can, as a good will gesture, put it towards a new car, which is at least something, but forcing her to want to buy another Toyota in order to get her money back, that's rightfully hers anyway... and she loved her Camry, but a new car has to be her decision...
I or Emma will never buy a car again, with ext. warranty, unless the dealership puts in writing that the ext. warranty cost will be refunded in full, in such an event the car is totaled before factory warranty expires !!!
I'm sure many brands deal this (but maybe not), but this is totally a despicable scam system, in our honest opinion !!

We just purchased a used 2014 TOYOTA CORROLLA LE model from this dealership, and the car seems to be in excellent condition. Sales consultant Sam Francella provided very friendly and professional service and we will definitely consider buying another car from this dealership in the future.

Very bad service, want to buy out a leasing vehicle, done the safety check some where but they said have to to at their place, the price much higher the other places, never will buy any car from them again.

I had a appointment for winter tires on rims.. I asked how long on arrival. They said one hour because I had an appointment ..after one hour they called another hour.. ..waited for 2 hours in total.. so mad.. then I missed some calls ...they charged more for the pressure sensor connections.....expensive and long wait .. will not come back again .. I came because of my first corolla with them...
