Just moved to Denver and my dog has been going to daycare one day a week for almost three years. Scheduled a dog eval but the only time they have is 12:30 which will never work in my schedule asked if they could take her earlier or later and they said they don't have the staff. Pretty concerning. Just pick up the phone and call the previous daycare for a report.

We just recently boarded our dog for four nights during Spring Break. We were a little nervous leaving him behind but he had a great time at Doggie Pause. We now bring him in for day care one or two days a week. He literally drags us from the car to the door of Doggie Pause he is so excited to be there. Yay!

Took my dog here about a month ago for boarding over a weekend. The staff made me feel so comfortable. When I went to get my dog, a staff member was sitting with him in her lap cuddling him. He s a 6 y/o dog with a little anxiety and it made me feel so much better knowing they were attentive to his needs. These people actually care. I was so pleased I m bringing him back for another weekend stay!

Absolutely everyone that works here cares immensely for the dogs and their safety is the #1 priority. Suggestions and tips from clients are always seriously considered and special accommodations for certain dogs are always given. Truly a wonderful place for your dogs.

Edit: After having worked elsewhere for half a year now, I can surely say safety is NOT the number one priority. Dangerous dogs are given seniority- if they've been going there for a while, this place will turn a blind eye to any problems these dogs may cause. Fights happen often. Staff are on their cellphones while in the yards. This place is constantly understaffed and there are barely enough people to safely control the dogs and bring them inside and outside without incident. Kennel cough at this place is absolutely rampant in the warmer months! Staff are constantly arguing or talking behind each other's backs, which creates a very stressful, hostile workplace environment.
This is not to say it isn't a good place. The owner and her daughter are lovely people who are trying their absolute best to run a difficult business, but it is extremely unfortunate that so many problems get swept under the rug.

I've taken my dog here a few times. He gets excited the second we pull in to the parking lot. The people working there remember his name, which makes me think they really care (or my dog is just infamously annoying, who knows?).

Rates are reasonable and being open until 8pm is so much more convenient than many of the others which close at 7pm.

Clean facility. Friendly staff. Very attentive to both my dogs needs. They always call when they have a question about your dog, and are on it with regards to how you want them to handle your dogs.

We have a Beagle who thinks he is much larger than his 30 pound frame and gets "bossy" around smaller dogs on occasion. He also has an unlimited amount of energy. They manage this by paying attention to him, and move him between the big dog and little dog area as needed. By all accounts, it has helped him to coexist with dogs of a similar or smaller size, and they really make sure he is emptying out his seemingly endless well of energy.

Our other dog, Bodhi has allergies to most animal based protein. I have had to remind them about the allergy issue, which isn't unusual with his condition because it is odd. But, they all seem committed to making sure they remember.

Our dog, Alan, has gone to daycare and boarded with Doggie Pause for nearly 3 years. We are so impressed with the staff and environment and he loves it! They accept his quirkiness and welcome him every stay. Most remarkably we had to do an unexpected emergency drop off for Alan a few months ago. Wendy and everyone made it so easy for us and him and we are incredible grateful. Cannot day enough good things about them!

I was recommended Doggy Pause from a couple of people. However, I haven t had the best experience with them. I called to make a practice trial with them and they wouldn t let me tour the facility due to COVID. I understand restrictions, i.e. wearing a face mask or only 1 member from the dogs family, but why would you not allow for any tours? How would I trust my dog to be left there for a week when I can t come see inside? Disappointed and after reading some Indeed reviews I didn t have the impression that the employees were treated properly which concerns me what happens closed doors.
