Do My Own Pest Control Review

I've purchased numerous products from Do My Own and I've always appreciated the products and price. But now I have a problem with a product ruining my pull behind pump sprayer and I called to ask which fungicides they carry that I can purchase that wouldn't ruin my new pump that I had to replace.
They said they had no idea. I asked to speak to a manager and "of course" no manager is available. I have always hated when calling in for service and you the the "no manager is in" response. Of course there is a manager in and all I wanted was some advice on which fungicide to use because the two that I already purchased will ruin my new pump.
I wasn't holding them responsible. I didn't want to return anything. I only wanted advice on which product would work. I never expected a "I don't know. Call your pump manufacture".
My pump manufacturer told me what my pump was made with. Viton valves and Santipreem diaphram. They told me to call Do My Own to find out which fungicides would work with this type of pump. The girl in customer service at Do My Own didn't even want to hear what materials my pump was made with. She just said they carry over 25,000 products and how were they to know what products work in what tank sprayers.
Since they sell products specifically for tank sprayers, you would think they would know what works where. Instead, she just deflected and was just trying to justify why she couldn't help me. I asked for someone else that may have more knowledge and she got offended and said there wasn't anybody. Of course....

I ordered a product online from them on 9/2/2020. I had not received it by 9/11, so I called them. It was shipped on 9/3 via FedEx but handed off to USPS on 9/9. Do My Own said to give USPS until 9/16 to deliver it. Their website said with "free shipping" I would receive this product in 3 to 6 business days. Not so! It may be 3 weeks or more. I will not buy from this company ever again.

Prices are not good from this company. I ordered some Southern Ag Palm Spray from them. 4 pints for a total of $50.23. You can get the exact same product from Home Depot for less than half the cost. 9 pints from Home Depot would cost $49.41.
Look elsewhere if you want to save some of your money.

Specifically chose this company for the 2 day shipping option. Ordered on a Saturday , its now Wednesday and the products haven't shipped yet. I was told one will be here Friday and they can't give me a date on the other. Timing was Critical , now I have to buy from a store 2 hours away and wait a week for my refund. Will not be using Do My Own again.

This place is great! I had a bunch of questions about products and asked them on their website through chat. They answered all of them and made some recommendations. They had the best prices I could find. I placed an order on Friday at 2pm and it was shipped out the same day. I ended up getting my package the next day! I will be placing another order soon.

This is the best company in pest control products!! I can't say enough about how fast the shipping is and how knowledgeable they are!! Don't ever buy from anyone else ever again. They have everything you need.

I placed an order, it never arrived. Call to inform do my own, horrible customer service, promised to reship order, never got a tracking number or shipment information, still waiting for order to arrive. Advise, shop other online stores.

Purchased from this company several times. Last time they dropped the ball. Ordered two cans of PT Cy -Kick. Forgot to ship with pinpoint straws. I sent an email and they sent a BOX with ONE straw in it. Couldn't send me a few???? Sent them another email. Send would send more to me. Two weeks now- nothing. LAST PURCHASE

First order of termidor went flawlessly.
Decided to sign up for the monthly kits...first box came and was missing the disposable gloves. I called the company ..their answer was they were sending them to first responders. Ok, that's all well and good , but what about the poison I am about to mix up. . I asked for a discount off my kit so I could buy my own gloves. They said they provided the gloves for free. So no discount offered.
I was put on hold 3 times before I asked to cancel my monthly subscription...funny thing is, she never took any account info from me. Curious to see if I am billed next month.

Small order mailed in timely manner and marked "Fragile" with a big red sticker. Glad for that sticker because I guess the USPS would have shot it with a cannon without it. Contents packed very well ; the proof of which is that even though the USPS obviously drug it here behind a mule, all inside was safe and untouched. One side of the package was crushed.
I would recommend Do My On. I am beginning to think my mailman hates me.

Placed an order they told me it would ship discreetly in a plane brown box. They lied to me it had logo's all over it . Then they did not ship all of my order together i called them to let them know they said they would ship it right away two days & it still has not shipped. This is the worst company I have ever dealt with poor customer service I would not recommend to anyone.

Although some of the products they offer are hard to find anywhere else the customer service offered by do your own pest control is lacking. I purchased a few products with next day shipping only to receive these products 3 days after. Upon contacting customer service they were less than helpful and were downright rude. The second order that I placed with do my own pest control it was ordered with the standard free shipping and I only received it four days later. As far as offering products that are hard to find elsewhere this company does exceptionally well, however the poor customer service and unprofessional conduct has left a bad taste in my mouth. If you don't mind waiting for your products then this company is great. If you need them in a rush then I would shop elsewhere.

The videos and description of products are extremely helpful from a DIY stand point. Also, they beat Amazon pricing by 25%+!!

DMOPC would not send replacement parts that were missing from my order because it was past the policy "time limit". Make sure you inspect your purchases immediately, or do not expect any help from this company. Customer service was unhelpful and dismissive.

The shipping is disgusting. Package arrived in an opened plastic bag. No kind kind of secure wrapping. Should have been secured in bubble wrap and sealed before mailing.

Can t say enough about Do My Own. The shipping is free, fast, and the products are packed well. Some of the prices are higher (not by much) but after trying other online retailers I always come back to Do My Own. Customer service has been excellent!

Been doing business with this company for approx 6 years and never had a problem. Good Quality product , Good Prices , excellent delivery service.I Live a few blocks from a pest control supply store but i would rather do business with DMOPC who are 800 miles away for the very reasons listed above.

Awesome company. Very helpful and informative, answering all of my questions in detail. Rarely do you see that level of customer service anymore, but these guys have it. I typically use amazon but last minute decided to order from this company instead, because their website was SO much more detailed and informative for the product I was looking for than amazon's product description. So glad I did. They provided extra guidance both before and after my purchase. They really know their products inside and out.

Re-name them "On Your Own". A stunning disappointment as I was a frequent customer at DMO. Full disclosure- I failed to open the box until after their 90 day policy expired. Surprise! They shipped me 2 year old Polyzone SC gallon jugs! Requested they swap out for fresh product as I buy in bulk for multiple years of use. Customer service manager said "NO"- its outside 90 days". The products provided will be out of their shelf life by the time I get thru it all. They refused to help out. Buyer beware! Don't buy in bulk from DMO. Remember to check your date codes on arrival because after all You are ON YOUR OWN.

Fast shipping and products exactly as described. One bottle leaked some in box and lost a little product but, so they could have been packed better, but overall all was good.

I found this website, ordered (2) shipments of Taurus SC for Termites... both came on time... and was the best deal I could find on the web... pleased with company. Thank you !

I ordered 5 items for my lawn. The first arrived in its own box, and when I opened the box and lifted the bag out, it had a whole in the bottom corner that spilled fertilizer all over my foyer. What a waste of expensive product - and thank goodness I didn't have pets or little ones roaming around to get into it.

I contacted the company about this, and about a product I at first thought I did not receive. They clearly treated me as a liar. They sent me an unclear photograph of the package at their warehouse before the box was closed as "proof" and just the comment "The following is a photo of the box right before it left our warehouse." There was no response to the hassle and lost product due to their poor packaging, and no tersely-explained photograph to deny it.

They simply couldn't care less and were completely and absolutely not helpful. I love a discount, but will not accept this level of customer service to get it. This company needs to learn that the customer is always right, and if you treat customers well, the value of a loyal customer is much higher than the value of replacing a single damaged or missing item.

I placed by first order with DoMyOwn pest control several weeks ago, and my experience was great. I was needing a bucket of Tim-bor Professional and since it was during the pandemic, I wanted to know if they had it in stock or if there would be any delays in shipping. The gentleman taking my call was very professional and told me what I could expect. They shipped it quickly and I had it in just a few days. Plus they had it at a good price. Incredible service, the website is sweet. Went the old fashioned was and called to talk to the nicest receptionist. She promptly sent me to the technical department, excellent experience. While he did not have all the answers to my very complex questions he was incredibly knowledgeable and willing to help. He even took my order and although i fumbled totally they made it happen. I was referred by a PCO and regularly deal with agricultural and ornamental specialties. I can guarantee i will tell everyone where to shop at do my own. Thank folks

I was getting ready to move into a new apartment, the day I got the keys I went through the kitchen and discovered a roach infestation. After bombing the place with Raid didn't work I spent a couple hours researching what to do on YouTube. It looked like Advion gel bait was the way to go (I also ordered some Vendetta so I can swap them out after a couple weeks) but I couldn't get it from any of my go to spots (Amazon and Walmart had it shipped by third parties with and it wasn't going to arrive for another week which was way too late for me.) I warily ordered it with overnight delivery from the DoMyOwn website, and I was pleasantly surprised by the entire experience.

I had a shipping notification almost immediately (Sunday night), the next morning I got an e-mail notifying me that the package was shipped out, and the package arrived early Tuesday morning. The entire process was painless. I've dealt with companies in the past where you order overnight delivery, but because it takes them a couple days to get the package out the door (Newegg, I'm looking at you...), it doesn't arrive when you need it to. I hope I never have to deal with an infestation again, but at least I know where I can buy everything I would need for the Roachpocalypse .

I have been using Do My Own since before 2016 for pesticide as a single purchase of the right chem and a pump sprayer will literally pay for itself on first application compared to any professional service. After that you're actually making money. I also recently expanded from using DMO for only pesticide to fungicide (turf) and herbicide (weeds) for my major DIY yard renovation. I have over 10000 sq ft of Palmetto Saint Augustine grass in the Atlanta metro that I have to proactively treat with pre and post emergent weed control, as well as pre and post emergent fungicides of different groups. DMO website is incredibly detailed and makes learning and comparison easy and empowers the DIYer. Keep up the great service and selection!

The first 5-6 orders were great but they lost the last one and didn t really care that it would arrive a week late. Really disappointed

I have several properties to keep up with and I have dealt with this company, and formerly do my own pest control, for about ten years. They are excellent. I normally receive my order in just a couple days, but that is not what prompted me to review them. On my last order the post office lost the goods. I called domyown and within a half hour they were sending another shipment. It takes a lot for me to review a company but this is possibly the best business I deal with, hands down. Thank you!

I ordered fertilizer on 4/18. It was shipped prompt but somehow got stuck in MS through Fedex. I called and they promptly shipped a replacement that arrived on 5/3, however it was the incorrect product. I called and Erin assisted me. It was near quitting time and there no doubt she was ready to be off in the way she interacted. They were then out of the product. I can't help but then due to the error that was made in shipping the wrong product, they ran out of the correct product. I have referred many folks to this site and actually bought quite a few products myself. I will think long and hard before buying or referring to this business again.

Poor customer service. Rep was not helpful at all. They back ordered my product and never shipped it, but said they did and charged me anyways. Find another company that won't cheat you for something so trivial.

Ive ordered from this company for over a year. I have knocked out bed bug infestations, roaches, and mice infestations with products ordered from this company. I have also recommended this company to some of my clients. Ive learned a great deal about pest control from this company, and its how to articles and videos. I highly recommend this company
