The food is really greasy, but there bartender is on point

Sub-par barbeque but probably the best southern food you'll get in Hawaii.

HIDDEN GEM! First time coming here was spur the moment because another restaurant didn't work out for us, and boy we are glad we did!! My husband and I are from TX and had questioned whether this southern style grill would meet expectations. It was perfect! The vibes, people, music , employees and the food was truly amazing. Ribs, brisket, turkey, andouille sausage, it was all great! The cocktails were spot on and we got some to go! Our waitress was super friendly and checked on us often, wish I could give her a shout out! Definitely coming back here again, best BBQ place we've found here so far.

Service was great and the baby back ribs are great. Get the brussel sprouts as a side, too!

Fantastic brisket, great variety of sauces on the table for those who want them, but served up without any for those who don't.

I live in Texas and the food flavor is extremely close as the real thing, size portion is big like texas, the atmosphere is relaxing and the service is great. While in Hawaii if you want to experience the Texans flavor this is the place to be.

It is nice that they have actual southern (diabetes inducing) sweet tea but the food has a weird tangy flavor to it. Both times I have been here I got the grilled cheese and meatloaf sandwich and both times I have been unimpressed. It has a dive bar feel to it. The customer service is great, staff is friendly and helpful. Well worth checking out if you like pulled pork and southern(TN, KY, GA, AL)comfort food. I am just not a fan of the food.

I've been there 3 times and the food never disappoints. I love how they have different types of bbq sauce (memphis style, texas etc) you can use at the table and the roasted lemonade is delicious. It's also right below a bar where you can drink and watch (or participate in) line dancing on Wednesday nights after a meal.

Food leaves a lot to be desired. Only decent thing on the menu is the mai tai. If you want good southern food, head to Hughley's in the Aiea Shopping Center.

Really enjoyed all the flavors. Cornbread casserole, beans, and meats with sauces all stood on their own. Look and feel of southern bar. Good waitstaff. Reasonable prices.

Awesome southern cuisine in Hawaii. Definitely recommend if your in the HI area, and miss home cooking.

Enjoy taking my family to Dixie Grill. Always try to avoid busy times as it can be a little rowdy, but we love the food and friendly atmosphere.

Went there two times and both times had a great experience. The pulled pork sandwich was done very well and their Kansas City BBQ was delicious. The first time the waitress was great (Melanie) and the food was excellent and delivered very quickly. I love the small friendly atmosphere and really enjoyed some of the nostalgic decor. I would highly recommend Dixie Grill for lunch or dinner.

First time ever visiting......very clean in the inside the pina colada was the best I've taste since arriving on island. The crab legs were very delicious.....they could do better with the bake beans some of the beans was not cook thoroughly but overall the food, people was pleasant. I will return.

The smoker is in the back. Great service as always, just remember to bring your mask.

Really good Southern inspired restaurant. We don't have many like this in Hawaii so I honestly don't know what is good Southern food but this restaurant has very good food in my limited opinion. Is it slap your momma in the mouth good , I Would Never!!... but I might

My husband and I are searching around the island for some regular spots to hit up for good food. This place hit the mark with its low prices, bbq, and relaxed atmosphere. We've gone multiple times and haven't been disappointed. The only down is the lack of AC, however, the overhead fans and the large outdoor area letting in a breeze makes up for it.

We went to this place twice during our trip. The service is great, the food is hit or miss. My snowcrab was great. The brisket was horrible. I got extremely chewy and fatty pieces that looked/tasted terrible. I would be embarrassed to send it out if I was the chef.

If you haven't stopped at the Dixie grill and you're in Hawaii what are you doing with your life!? One f the best eats in Hawaii! Keep up the good work Dixie. Never extremely busy and their drinks are off the hook. I always recommend Dixie.

Dixie grill have some of the worst food I have ever tasted in my life. Don't eat the shrimp and grit. NASTY NASTY NASTY! I went back a second time with friends and I said well maybe they was having an off day again the food was extremely NASTY! Wouldn't recommend this restaurant at all!!

I love coming to Dixie Grill - it's just a great place to come hang out and relax. The food is surprisingly good for such an unassuming location and they have BBQ sauce baskets with 6 of their own different sauces for each person's taste. They are known for their screaming Mai Tais which are really good (and strong!) and their popcorn baskets at all the tables. I would definitely recommend grabbing some friends and checking them out. Feeling like checking it out solo? There's plenty of room at the actual bar and the service can't be beat!

I've been here before and ate in. Drinks are good food was OK. They give you popcorn as you wait for food. The second time I went, I ordered to go. We had 4 sides. Mash potatoes where not good, Mac and cheese was alright, coleslaw needed flavor, and the beans was too sweet. Ribs, brisket, and pulled pork was ok

Loved the Dixie Grill. Our server Brittany was so great! Very personable, and up front. Loved the food! Fried pickles were tremendous, and we really enjoyed our visit. Great brisket, turkey, and pork. We found it on a whim, but will definitely be back.

As always, the pulled pork and the brisket didn't fail to meet expectations... My wife and I split the 2 meat plate and that was more than enough for the two of us for lunch. It's great that they bring a tray of sauces for dipping (note, the Savannah sauce is my fav!). Two thumbs up!!

Amazing food and atmosphere as always. One of my favorite places on Oahu that makes me miss the South where I grew up.

Meatloaf grilled cheese sandwich and a screaming mai tai... shut up and take my money!

Ribs weren't even warm but still tasty. Fries were good, Mac and cheese was bland, cheese grit was bland. Burgers awesome.

Very good BBQ. The 6 styles of sauce they provided was pretty good. Mac n cheese was okay. Crab legs pretty good. Service was attentive and pleasant.

Could be 4-star - should be 2-star. The green beans are from a can and are like rubber. The "Turkey" I swear to God is the pre-sliced deli meat you get from Costco. I loved the atmosphere and the sauces. Should be so much better.

This place was really good, they had large serving sizes and the food was tasty.

Weird how Dixies have Popcorn on the table for appetizer (I guess)...other restaurants have bread. The restraunts is okay. Ribs, ah, honestly, Bob's Bar-B-Q is way better.
If Gordan Ramsey seen this restaurant, he would flip this place upside down. Customer Service is okay. Having a sandbox on the side for kids, idk how that fits with this restaurant. Give coloring papers or something. Idk how I would feel having my kids play in sand then come eat. Or even after. But my opinion. Aloha.

Amazing food and service. Server constantly kept me aware of my food order and when they deemed it was taking to long (only about 5 min after the other guests food) manager personally apologized, explained, and offered a comp.

A perfect oasis of southern BBQ. Solid beer selection, delicious meat options, wide variety of sauces, and helpful staff.

Stopped in for lunch and had a Savannah Chicken sandwich and a Cuban sandwich. Both were excellent, Natalie took good care of us and the food came out fast. Nice experience!

Server was bad, slow, hard to get attention, food was just ok

The food wasnt fresh. Brisket was boiled or slow cooked not smoked initially. 1 plate is 30 dollars and it's a tiny serving. The pulled pork was dry and greasy. Could be allot better. They have potential but it could be better.

Very disappointing. They didn't put my order in until after my whole family had gotten their food, then had to wait another 20-25 mins to get it. When I finally got my food it had no flavor, took two bites and didn't finish it. My husbands food looked like it had been sitting under the heater for an hour, dry and tuff.

Went for the country fried steak, fish and chips, sweet tea and popcorn.

Overall it was pretty good, the smoked brisket and meatloaf was tasty. We liked the variety of bbq sauces, nice touch! Music and overall atmospher was lively. Really the only thing we didn't care for was the vanilla ice cream, it kinda tasted a little frost bitten. Either way we'll be back.

I have lived in Texas, Louisiana, and Kentucky. This BBQ is as good or better than anything I ve gotten in the actual South!! We had brisket Philly po boy, pulled pork, baked beans, Mac salad, and brussel sprouts. The brussel sprouts....just changed my life forever!! I have a new standard to which all other brussel sprouts will be held. We even ordered 2 bottles of house made BBQ sauce to take home. I will be back! ...probably tomorrow. Or later today.

The service got slower ther longer we were there, which was a while because the food took a long time, and it was just ok.

Good BBQ. The Sweet Tea is HUGE!!! With free refills. I got the pulled pork sandwich. Lots of sauces to choose from.

Loved the open air casual bar dining in this establishment. Felt southern. Good portions, good fish and chips ( had both cod and catfish) and we enjoyed the popcorn with our drinks. Worst margarita i've ever had though. It was huge but was like blended tequila, with salt. Had to send it back but it still wasnt quite right. But will try again. Maybe an one off?

The service was amazing and so was the food! There are several types of BBQ sauce to try and the fried pickles were fried in spear form not slices which made them taste even better.

Great crab, great beer selection and seriously good prices. Megan is a great bartender! Definitely a good place to grab a beer after work or a chill lunch on the weekends.

Always enjoy coming here. We love sitting outside so the kids can play in the sand area. Sweet tea is perfect. Love the super large glasses! The popcorn served before your meal is a nice change, something different than the typical chips or bread. My favorite thing so far has been the smoked turkey. Also loooove the key lime pie! Looking forward to crabfest!
