The food/drinks are ok at best. It did take forever to get our drinks. So long so that our meal came at the same time. That to me is some lousy service. The atmosphere seems very chill and maybe if I didn't order the chicken fried steak and had a watered down drink id give this place a four star. It is still a place worth trying again.

Please let the customer know before hand if you will be salting a drink. I ordered the roasted lemonade and I ve never even been to a place where they garnish lemonades with salt. My lemonade was completely saturated with a salt taste to where I could barely take more than a couple sips. I asked waiter for a water instead of any more lemonade and he still charged me the 4.75 for a lemonade that was ruined. That s like bringing someone a carbonated water as a sprite and still charging.. I feel as though it just was a miss communication that could have been avoided by just asking if I wanted salt or not. However apart from that inconvenience, the food was good, especially the fries, and the wait time wasn t bad at all. Also it s not too bad of an atmosphere as well.

Coming here for Crab Fest was something that me and my cousin's used to do before I left for the mainland. Now that I am back and not pregnant, we decided to hit up Crab Fest once again. Nothing has changed in the 5 years I have been gone really.

We got the crab bucket for $83. It says that it can be shared between 3-4 people. We were like, "We're crab lovers, we can do one platter between 2 people". We were wrong. It's so much crab. I like how it featured all the different crab varieties they were offering, but in the end I found out that I just like plain 'ol snow crab. The corn was very sweet and juicy and the potatoes were perfectly cooked (a little seasoning would not have hurt though). The regular seasoning on the crab wasn't great to me, but my husband enjoyed it.

We got some fries for my little man. $5 for a small basket of fries? Seemed a bit pricey to me, but that's how they get you, right? We also got the sweet tea which was expensive but worth it with all the refills you can get. My husband prefers it a little sweeter, but I thought it was great.

All in all, I would come back here again to try their other "southern" items and get more of their delicious tea. As for the Crab Fest though, I think this was my last time doing it. I prefer the other places like Cajun King to satisfy my bucket 'o crab needs.

If you're from the south and have a craving for real sweet tea, this is the place for you. Just about everything they do is great. My favorite dish is always gonna be the shrimp and grits, but their burgers and sandwiches ain't bad either.

Visited during lunch. Got a seat right away. Service was good. Food arrived in a reasonable amount of time. Shared a rack of ribs, dry with sauces on the side. Very good. Sides (coleslaw, fries, garlic green beans & smashed w/ gravy) were average. Theyve installed a wooden fence facing the highway to reduce noise. Access is the best it's been since rail construction began.

The food is consistently delicious! It's so nice to have a taste of the south way out here in the Pacific. The restaurant is open air with lots of fans and the waitstaff is professional and attentive. Everyone should eat at Dixie Grill at least once (and if you come once, you'll come again)!

This place is either hit or miss. Can t really go in to detail other than to experience it yourself. It s like playing a scratch off lottery ticket. You might win or you might lose. You won t know until you try it. However the food that I did have was pretty tasty.

Disclaimer: This review is based purely on my preference for barbecue and should not deter others from giving this establishment a chance.

First off, not very take-out friendly. And what I mean by that is you are not able to order meats by weight unless it is catering.

Second, sides come in one size and are not particularly ample for $4.50.

Third, and my biggest problem, the brisket is not offered "lean" or "moist". It may be, but was not offered for my order. I enjoy my brisket lean, and their brisket was well marbled. If they do offer lean, I would retract this complaint.

Otherwise, a fine hole-in-the-wall joint with friendly staff and a perfectly amicable atmosphere.

I cannot boast enough about Dixies. The food is amazing and well priced. The staff is friendly and energetic. The drinks are mammoth and the ambiance ties it all together. Went yesterday and had the smoked turkey with brussel sprouts and grits. The turkey was flavorful and not turned into jerky, the sprouts were fried and absolutely delicious. Popcorn grits were fantastic. The 32oz local IPA was also stellar. 6 different types of BBQ sauce spanning all regions of the BBQ globe; who not only does it but does it well?! Go try them out.

If you're vegetarian, you're pretty well screwed. But the omnis in the family give the fleshy stuff good reviews. There are six styles of BBQ sauce available, and they are (as far as I know, from living in NC, SC, AL, GA, TN, and TX during my childhood) legit. The Kansas City sauce tastes really close to Craig's BBQ in DeVall's Bluff, AR. I love dousing it on my fries.

WARNING: HORRIBLE SANITARY PRACTICES. ordered some food through bitesquad and the food had HAIR on it. Called the store and tne incredibly rude manager claimed the hair was from the driver (that received the food already packaged). Clearly nobody was wearing a hairnet in that pigsty.

Just celebrated my 78th birthday there. I asked my husband if he could find my favorite meal "spicy shrimp and cheesey grits " on Oahu. The Dixie Grill not only has the best shrimp and grits on the Islands, No&So Carolina better take notice. The kicker was the fresh bacon sprinkled on top. 5* also for the brisket, cuttlet, fish & chips and all the sides.

I'm absolutely impressed by the service and food quality I received today. I highly recommend to the spicy food individuals to try out the western burger, it has a good amount of heat! The banana pudding was spot on for dessert, I will come back with others!

They want to charge 4.50 for a takeout sweet tea and not even fill it all the way up when you ask for no ice but when the store is open a tea for dinner is the same price and it s refillable. I can tell how cheap and poorly built this establishment is because sugar, water and tea leaves are hard to spare. I was charged a total of $10.19 for two ounce of grits and sweet tea. Absolute trash and over priced. Pitiful excuse of a country restaurant. This was my 3rd time here and I am let down every time I come here. Worst food on the
Island.

This is a great watering hole for happy hour drinks. The food has gotten better over the years, but is still not up to a great standard of BBQ. It is fairly good for Hawaii BBQ. However, the drink specials are fantastic for every day of the week.

On our final day on Oahu we had an evening flight and after visiting Pearl Harbor we found this quaint little spot near the airport. The Cajun French Dip was flavorful and the Fried Green Tomatoes were a great compliment for the sandwich. Indoor/outdoor seating with plenty of drink specials. The oversized mugs will quench whatever you are thirsty for. Added Plus: plenty of free parking and friendly staff!

My wife and I have gone here several times. Tried several main dishes, and sides and loved every one. We particularly enjoy the fried okra, smoked meatloaf, brisket, and sweet tea. Friendly staff, excellent service, and fun environment with a bar on one side, and a kids play area at the outside seating. The only thing that we've ever found less than splendid was the cobbler. I'm definitely going to continue eating here, and would recommend it to anyone.

Fantastic food. I am from Alabama, and this is the best southern style bbq, fixings, and atmosphere I have seen ever since I left. The happy hour has good prices, the fried okra was amazing, bbq was perfect. My wife's meal, the pig tail macaroni was interesting to see and tasted great! Will be coming back regularly!

Friendly service and really good food. They play great music and have a few televisions playing sports. Just right for an afternoon low-key lunch.

They have an outdoor patio area, just be aware that only service animals are allowed there.

Coming from Texas I have high expectations and this place doesn't meet them not even close. I've been there twice and both times I wasn't impressed. Brisket was dry and my turkey was really wet and cold. Tried Molly's smokehouse on island which was way better.

This is a good restaurant. The parking was fine. There is a good amount of parking in the lot. It's a open patio style restaurant. The staff are really nice the prices are good and the drinks are made very well. If you like sweet tea this is the place to be. A good restaurant for a wide variety of occasions. Whether it work event or hang out, I would recommend this place. The only negative thing I have to say is that the ribs I ordered were overcooked with barely any meat on them. But their sides are very delicious and the brisket came out very good.

It was not very good. We got the crab fest food the trash bucket "buffet" which is no buffet which they do indicate but it's just weird it's called a buffet. The server put my husband's bib on for some odd reason which was weird as she didn't put mine on. The food was pretty bland as well. Won't go back. Won't reccomend to friends or family. The kids meal said fresh fruit bowl but she said it said french fries lllol.

Use to be a favorite place for us in '09/'10. Since we've been back they've changed their menu. What happened to the black and bleu burger, trash can buffet, and the delicious seasoned shoestring fries you used to have? Prices have gone up as well. Food is still yummy though and it's a good place for both an adult group and families.
