Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park Review

We enjoyed long fun filled day. We were disappointed in the evening with the train closing 2.5 hours before the park closes, seemed like shows were also on that last show early timeline. Expected Disney to finish Strong, instead it was a slow fade to nothingness.
Pandora was a long wait, a fun ride experience at the end. The waiting time in lines needed more on the Disney flare, more fans to move air, characters, monitors. Rethink the waiting in line to be a show experience in itself.

The amount of Lion King representation at this park was amazing! It's my favorite Disney movie and this park really made it shine! Seeing a slice of Pandora was also so amazingly breathtaking!

This is an amazing park, plenty of attractions, staff is really nice, I would recommend you to wear comfortable shoes, drink plenty of water, bring a rain poncho. Sometimes the Florida sun during summer time is very strong. I would say after 3-4pm in the summer it gets better.

Avatar at night is a must!!! So amazing! I really enjoy walking the discovery trail around the tree of life! I can never get enough of the Safari or the Gorilla trail or tiger trail. Listening to the music of other cultures is always wonderful!

As always Disney does an amazing job at details and immersing you into another world. Pandora was breathtaking the bigger ride was fun. The water Ride along was done very well but it lacked a purpose or storyline. Mount Everest was thrilling and the kids love seeing all of the animals. River rapids ride was closed when we were there for renovation so that was disappointing but understandable. Only gave four stars because we all felt like there could have been more to do medium to high thrill seekers. Also in typical theme park fashion the waiting time for lines were a little outrageous and food and memorabilia were excessively expensive even for a theme park. the three rides we got onto in Pandora and Mount Everest had a waiting time of 180 minutes each. Needless to say the day pass by very quickly.

Animal Kingdom is a great park. We enjoyed our time here, although it was a putty that Pandora flight had waiting times of more the 3 hours, and fast pass was already unavailable months in advance. But the shows in the park were great, and the other attractions were amazing. We enjoyed the lion king and finding Nemo show, as well the safari ride was cool and we had a great chauffeur!

What an incredible place! It s unlike any other theme park. The safari is INCREDIBLE! I love everything about Animal Kingdom, but Pandora at night is an absolute must! The after hours event was a great way to enjoy to park at night, escaping the heat and large crowds.

Grandparents spending time with their kids and grandchildren make a marvelous time.

In a themed land dedicated towards the conservation and education of wild animals, Disney's Animal Kingdom does a wonderful job creating an perfect environment for the young and old to learn and explore different habitats.

From the World of Pandora an Avatar themed land with details around every corner, to a bumpy ride on a Jeep in the middle of the African Safari, You are fully emersed. When staying at Walt Disney World, This park is the most unique and interesting to go to.

Customer service in ant Disney theme park or resort is second to none. It's worth every penny you spend.

I love the feel of this park. It's very different from the other Disney parks. My son really loves the boneyard. He could spend hours there just digging in the sand. I only wish it wasn't so easy to lose your kids inside the boneyard, but it's comforting that there's someone standing by the exit so your kids can't escape. I love wandering around Pandora. They have a delicious grill in there that I always enjoy. It's a must see at night. The Safari is also really fun. It's a great break when you've been waking around all day.

It goes without saying that every Disney park takes you to another place, but Animal Kingdom takes you to real world locations. I personally liked it better than Magic Kingdom for that reason.

nice family fun park. make sure to use disney's mobile app to monitor the wait time for attractions and also to get walking directions. very convenient and useful app. also make sure to reserve your queue using fastpass+

if you are staying outside of the disney park hotel then make sure your fastpass+ reservation is not before 9:30. it becomes difficult to reach on time otherwise.

Expedition Mount Everest is a must to do. I would recommend Kilimanjaro Jungle Safari, Avatar, Kali River ride and Dino ride.

Went "briefly" just to see the new Avatar ride and it was well worth it! It was a long wait wait, so that's my disclosure for this post. Highly recommended just for this ride! Will be coming back tomorrow to see the rest.

Disney has knocks it out of the park time and time again and they have done it again with the addition of Avatar Land. It was beautiful and awesome the way it made you feel like you were really there. Add this with the animal attractions and My favorite Disney ride of all time Expedition Everest, and this keeps me coming back.

Honestly me and my family loved it here more than Magic Kingdom. We were actually able to take our time without having to rush through it all just to see everything. World of Avatar is a must see, day and night. The shows were great, must definitely see The Lion King Show!

Family vacation to Orlando always includes one of the Disney parks. We chose Animal Kingdom this year as we have yet to go. We arrived at park open and stayed till park closure as is our custom considering the price, parking headache and Essence of time. We had about 2 hours of rain in the afternoon that ended up malfunctioning part of Asia that we didn t get to experience even after the rains lifted, but that didn t dampen our spirits. Plan your visit wisely and you ll get everything in all in one day considering there are no ride closures. All the shoWs, fast pass experiences and park route should all be planned before you go to better enjoy the park. It s a headache to figure that all out when you re actually inside! Enjoy!

Went during Covid before they laid everyone off. It was amazing. Staff were happy and fun to talk to. They really spoiled guests with letting people choose where to sit on rides, barely any wait times (if any). First and probably only time I ve ever been to Disney and actually had space to move arums freely. This is my families favorite park and the Avatar area is amazing, especially at night. I have heard crowds have significantly increased but I will always remember this last time as being the most fun I ve ever had at Disney. They do an amazing job of enforcing social distancing and making sure people kee masks on. I feel safer from Covid here then I do at any local grocery store or gas station. Fingers crossed the layoffs don t ruin the experience for others. 4 stars only because prices are still outrageous for entry, food, parking, beverages, and souvenirs. Disney can afford to lower prices and still maintain staff.

Love this theme park, the safari was wonderful. The avatar ride was amazing. Do get a good seat for the night show in the lake because if you are watching from the side you can really appreciate the wonderful spectacle. Request a magical picture from the photo pass photographer you will love it.

Great fun and not very crowded. Most food and drinking places shuttered which stinks. I didn't like that most sanitizer dispensers didn't work for me. Kind of annoying. Food and drink prices are basically obscene but what are you gonna do.

Always a favorite location and it is sad to be at low capacity, it is quite enjoyable to be able to ride favorites quickly, especially in the August heat.

This is a nice theme park but for people with small kids (under 6) I think it s might be less value for money. Not many rides and the popular one has 3 hour (!!!) lines if you weren t able to get fast pass. If you do go, I recommend the DinoLand USA section, it s better for the kids.

Animal kingdom has become one of my favorite Disney parks. The vibe here is great- super fun and chill. The new Pandora land is amazing! One of the best rides I've been on was the one when you get to ride a banshee. Definitely a great place to visit in Disney!

Amusement park, zoo and wilderness explorer all in one. Plus, there s Pandora and Avatar rides. We love it!!!

We loved the Avatar experience and do it every time we visit - so far, hands down the best ride at all of Disney World. We had a wonderful experience on the Safari ride as well - all of the animals were out and our driver was less comical but super informative. It was like a Discovery channel experience - lots of knowledge given that is new to you and is great fun!

No more slow season at any Disney Parks. Tough finding fast passes for the most popular attractions. Still a good time.

It was a soggy rainy day so it was hard to do much. Pandora was over 3 hour wait so
we came bk at night. Waited 30 minutes and we were on. Wow Pandora are is gorgeous at night. The ride is probably my favorite in all of Disney.

I loved the theming of Animal Kingdom absolute class with such a feeling of being in the actual world locations.

It was really nice to meet some of the staff who are actually from the actual locations.

Loved our time at Animal Kingdom. It was a chance to get up close to some amazing animals, ride some very cool rides, and eat some interesting food. The Pandora area was our fave, especially at night. The only fault was that it was VERY dark in the area at night. We had a great day here.

Of all this Park and the best overall look beautiful landscaping best attractions best food simply poetic. The Jeep drive through the jungle was terrific the light show spectacular just everything fabulous. The living tree was pure poetry The street entertainers were tremendous if I was to say anything bad about Disney in general it's at the magic kingdom has expensive food and it's terrible without much variety. Hear the animal kingdom The food had great variety was interesting was well prepared and the prices were substantially better. In addition the gift shops were much more interesting and diverse great job Disney imagineers

It's the Disney themed zoo! I love the killamanjaro safari ride! Truly immersive in every way. I have an annual pass and this is my absolute favorite park! Also the land of Pandora is something I believe everyone should experience they did an amazing terrific job.

This is the first time we have been to this park since COVID restrictions. I believe that the Disney website said that the parks are being kept at 25% capacity. There was no tram operating but you could walk to the main entrance from where they were parking people. Temperature check and Security was remarkably fast and easy. Entrance was also easier since we only used our magic band. 25% capacity means that it was still a little crowded and we had to wait in lines for the rides. The cast members were very good about making sure that people knew where to stand for the various lines for the rides. Overall it was a very nice trip and worth the visit.

Liked what we got to see of the park. Didn't get to see it all. But still had fun.

Such an awesome park. We had so much fun spending the day here. If you do not do anything else, make sure you do the safari, especially if you like animals. There are a lot of cool rides and the scenery is absolutely beautiful!

Very entertaining but we went during covid so a lot of the stuff was closed (hands on interactive stuff and some of the shows). Avatar world was wonderful! The food was great there. Loved the safari experience!!

Great park we really liked the safari got to see all the animals up close and the expedition Everest ride was one of our favorite rides the entire trip. Rivers of light show and seeing the tree at night is a must. The bugs life 4d called it's tough to be a bug was great too

Beautiful park. Exotic animals and expansive children's area. Pandora was amazing. A bit pricey, but a good time.

The best ride was Avatar. I did it twice. Anyone can go for this ride, if you are scared of free fall or rollercoasters then no issue you can still take this ride. I personally dont like free fall and weightlessness feeling but I enjoyed this ride. Staff is extremely good, excellent customer services. Lots of shuttles available for moving hundreds of people. Place is kept clean throughout the day and night. Fireworks was beautiful and the circle of life show. Lots of rides for kids as well.

My Disney favorite. Covid can't spoil the magic here. But no Lion King or Nemo show! :(

What an experience. Personally my favourite theme park of the 4 Disney parks in Orlando. It has wonderful nature, including incredible landscaping, beautiful waters and fascinating animals.

Not only the nature is an eye catcher, but the attractions are spot on as well. Expedition Mount Everest, and the whole Pandora region based on the blockbuster Avatar are attractions you don't want to miss.

I must say this park was by far my favorite! The Safari ride was pretty cool! The wait time was ridiculously LONG, but it was worth the wait, definitely something you want to experience. My favorite ride was Everest! Such a blast!

I want to give six stars specifically for one ride, but overall the park is fantastic! I highly recommend eating at RestarauntOSAURUS if you want something quick and affordable; they have amazing food and beverages- definitely worth the $11! I got a number 7 which was chicken, shrimp, and fries- I also got a Coke to drink, and the cup was Halloween themed which was really cool.
I went on a few rides too, some with fast passes and some without them. But ONE of the rides, as I mentioned earlier, seriously made my day. Quick note, I was never really into thrill rides and have never really rode on a big coaster; just wanted to try it out for the sake of my father wanting to see the yeti.
If you get the hint, you might know which ride I mean. I went during the night, around 8. The wait time was below 5 minutes so it was perfect; when I first arrived, it was 20 minutes so either way it was still perfect. On the ride, I felt my adrenaline pumping as I went down, it was awesome. I got to scream and say some forbidden words which felt even more therapeutic personally.
Definitely coming back someday. Huge fan of you, Expedition Everest! I had a magical time at my first ever Disney park!

One of my favorite parks after Disney Animal Kingdom. The World of Avatar is amazing. There are a few renovations by the entrance and splash mountain but I understand and can't wait to see the results.

My favorite of all the parks in WDW. Pandora is AMAZING, Aisa is really neat, Expedition Everest & The Avatar ride are INCREDIBLE, & my favorite place to eat in any of the parks is Yak & Yeti. Gotta try the green beans!!!

Wow! Literally one of my favorite parks to go to besides the other three! Animal kingdom is the place to go to if you want to have a great time with a group of people! Kilimanjaro Safari, the Kali River Rapids and the Dinosaurs ride is phenomenal for a group of people! Besides that, Desiree and Avery were so hospitable towards our group right around the corner of the UP! stadium, and was extremely accommodated to us to the future and beyond. They were so amazing to us, and they deserve a shout out for sure!!!!

Awesome. Less crowded than Magical Kingdom. Great place to visit with your kids. We had lots of fun.

The Tree of Life is amazing.you could spend hours looking and finding new animals around it. The safari is always a treat. The animals were out and enjoying the cool weather of the morning. The rest of park was kind of boring and we weren't able to get on Pandora. Hopefully some other time, but won't be in this trip.

Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park is an excellent theme park with a really well organised manner by which to see the majestic animals which the theme park has on view for visitors to be amazed by. I can think of no negative thoughts regarding my experience here, I would highly recommend those considering visiting this theme park to certainly do so, it isn't just any ordinary zoo but something quite extraordinary.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SUPPORT ON THE PHONE, I ordered tickets and had them shipped to my house(confirmation of shipping and eta email) but after the shipping eta had passed by almost a week I called and it took almost an hour to get an answer that they did not even ship them and they will only allow us to have them on our account electronically and we will have no hard copy tickets. I gave them my confirmation that they were shipped and she said that they will ship them out now but we will have to pay a different price now for the same dates as there was some promotion and they will have to charge us %20 more for tickets to be shipped. THAT'S $406.60 FOR DISNEY TO SHIP US OUR TICKETS THAT WE ALREADY PAID FOR. We already paid over $2000 for tickets, how cheap can you be Disney. Customer support is one of the most important things that separates good companies from bad, disney seems to be failing on this front at least with there phone help center.

Become one of my favorite Disney s theme park, Avatar s attraction is an amazing experience.

A number of shows, rides, wild animals, dinosaurs, a Yeti, and banshees - all in a relatively small space, and at a significant price.

Spent an afternoon with my husband at Disney's Animal Kingdom. I'm pregnant, so I wasn't able to go on the roller coaster rides, but there were a number of love shows and activities to do. It's a step up from visiting a zoo and they do a good job of weaving Disney characters into the mix. Animal Kingdom, if planned right with fast passes, can be visited in a half-day. It's not as jam-packed with rides as other Disney parks, it's more of a laid back environment.

Great place to be. Pandora has to be seen to be believed and as for the Flight of Passage ride. It should be on everyone s bucket list

Great party for kids that like to explore. Plenty of food options beyond the traditional pizza and fried foods. Easy to order in advance from app at multiple places incl great chicken and rice bowls in Africa.

Another big area to Disney World and soo much to see with lots of times events, you could make multiple trips here to get the most out of it to be honest.

There are lots of bathrooms across the park so you should always be within a few minutes of one and they all seemed to have disabled access ones to.

Love this place! You must do the Avatar ride! OMG IT IS AMAZING! It is so well put together and you can tell a lot of planning was involved! It is interesting how technology can really make you feel like you are in the Avatar world. Love it so much! It was so worth the wait! I would recommend to go super early and try using your Magic hours if you have that luxury, if not get there when the park opens and run to the ride so that you do not have to wait 3 hrs like me. I ran to it and go there semi early. I recommend getting there right before the doors open.

It is a beautiful place to enjoy with family and friends.

What more can I say about Walt Disney world. This place never disappoints. From food to cast members, shows and attractions Disney always remains ahead of the curve in fun family entertainment.

I loved this part of Disney! We did a safari and watched It's Tough to be a Bug in the Tree of Life, watch the Lion King show, did the Pandora ride, and more! Get place with amazing details! So much fun! O have a 15 year old son with disabilities and we were allowed to use first aid to change him. Everyone was so accommodating. We are looking forward to going back in the future!

Love the safari...cheaper than flying to Africa!! The rides are amazing as well.

O.M.G. this park is super cool. The waiting time for Avatar was almost 2 hours, but it was totally worth it! Spent the time in the line chatting and laughing with the people in front a d behind me, so it passed smoothly. The life tree is surreal!! The Everest roller coaster.....O.M.G. don't miss it!!

Absolutely amazing place, if you have kids who are fans of Up you can let them become Wilderness Explorers like Russell and collect badges in different parts of the park. A great way for them to learn about the animals and their environments.
Pandora, the avatar part of the park is phenomenal. I was blown away by how cool it was. Definitely go there if you're fans of the movies and even if the kiddies arent, my little brother still loved the flight ride that was his favourite.

Disney's best park as far as my opinion. Animation and live animals. This parks gives you the best of both worlds.

Great park a little crowded which was expected but the fast pass is well worth the money

Pandora: The world of Avatar in Animal Kingdom is a masterpiece. Flight of passage takes one's experience of experiencing Pandora to the next level. Navi river journey is a pleasant ride into the beautiful world of Pandora. Apart from pandora , Kilimanjaro safaris, Expedition Everest, Kali river rapids, last but not least River's of light show makes visiting this park a unique and most memorable experience of lifetime.

I love all the disney parks. Beautiful, so much to do, food is great. At Tiffins now, ummmm.

This park is a great experience and has great food selections. I loved going to the conservation area and getting to see the reptiles, amphibians, and insects! Super fun day!

The kids (and I) loved the interactive environment. It made any wait a little more bearable. The Expedition Everest Ride was phenomenal, fun museum to peruse as you wait.

I went here for pandora. It was hot (first week of November) and stop by the shop by the giant robot from avatar and get a night blossom. Best drink ever, and see the lion king musical. Its very cute. Oh, get a fast pass. I wished I did. I promise you, it will save you many hours standing in lines. And try the safari ride. Its nice. And bring a poncho, never know when mother nature will bring a shower or two. Oh and if she does, the que time for done rides go way down. Enjoy.

Pandora is the bomb! Loved taking my granddaughters. Lines were short and park was managed well during COVID

I love this place! Great contact with nature. Attractions are cool as well and life shows. Come prepared for weather changes. Highly recommended for all age groups!!!

One of my favorites parks at all times. So many things to do, enjoy, discover etc. Highly recommend it.

They're doing a great job with keeping the public safe and keeping the park clean. The only negative thing we experienced was the lack of seeing actual animals! There was tons of pictures of animals but it may also be due to the pandemic. But other than that it was a great time for our family.

Staff was extremely friendly...and this is coming from a Texan where we wave at folks simply because we're in the middle of nowhere or driving the same cars. That being said. I'm a fairly cynical person...but this park knocked that right out of me...mostly. I'm older than 30, younger than 40, but felt 10 again. Everest is a must...but if at all possible ride Flight of Passage more than once. It takes at least 2 times to really grasp how it plays on more than just your sense of balance. No spoilers here...just trust me. The food was ehhh, hence the 4 stars...hey remember...I said I was cynical.

Animal kingdom was awesome. The kids had a great time checking out the animals and then letting loose in dinoland. The Safari was our favorite. The Pandora ride was incredible. The bugs life show was really good and also the Lion King show.

Something for everyone. Awesome rides great shows. Fantastic atmosphere. Best experience with children and grandchildren. Get there as soon as the park opens to get the most for your money

My Personal Favorite of all the Disney World Parks! Loved the atmosphere and detail that was put into each different land of Animal Kingdom. Really enjoyed the Safari Ride. We went at a prime time to catch a glimpse of all the animals

We had a lovely time visiting for the first time. Safari was kinda cool.

Excellent additions to an already great park. Fast passes will get you access to mew premium rides. Now with night time hours.

Another unforgettable experience at Disney. The animals and setting is like you are in another country. The rides Avatar, Avalanche or Himalayas not sure the name but you ride through a mountain, was such a thrill. We also journeyed through the safari seeing Giraffes and other wild exotic animals. Such an amazing experience

Great place, but over crowded and difficult to enjoy. The fast pass slows down the lines, they literally are stopped to let ALL fast pass riders go first. They really should filter both lines in together. It's awful to wait and watch.

Disney Animal Kingdoms is great for kids. There was a lot of Nature Conservation messages embedded throughout the attractions which I think is good to influence children into becoming decent human beings.

The tour guides in the Safari ride make it something very special and it's insane the they can just walk right up to the bus.

I would have liked for them to stop for more than a moment as sometimes they stop for shorter than the focus time of a camera which makes it hard to catch stops.
