Dayummm.. Worthy for money.. At least once everyone should visit here . Best family place specially for kids..
This is my favorite Disney park. I LOVE the experience, the sites, and the rides. Hand sanitizers and cleaning stations are everywhere. Very safe.
You have to pay for parking on top of high price tickets and if you don't pay extra for the fast pass you are only going to get on a few rides because you will be spending the day waiting in lines. Waited over 90 minutes in one line. It was mostly inside and nicely done and the ride itself was fantastic. When we tried to go again it was up to 120 minutes wait. We only had a day so didn't get the money saving multi day passes.
In recent years the park has been pretty sparse however those days are long gone there are many great attractions and activities to do. It will help you form a real appreciation for the natural world and the creatures that reside in it. The up show featuring many distinct flying birds was incredibly well-timed and choreographed not to mention enjoyable. The avatar flight of passage is currently probably one of the most technologically-advanced rides in the world.
This was the very time I ventured to this park and what fun it was. I was truly amazed and acted just like one of the many kids that was there as well. I look forward to coming back to see even more the next time!
The entire park is wonderful. But I absolutely love Avatar at night!!
My first visit and despite the pandemic, it was a great time. Thank you to every single cast member and the amazing work you put into providing this escape for people in a way that I actually felt safer at Disney than I do at work!
Love animal kingdom. It does smell like animal though. But the rides are fun and the festival of the lion King show is AMAZING.
Would give no stars if possible, Dinosaur at The Dino Institute has an employee named Justin who is not very helpful. Saturday was able to ride Mine train and Thunder Mountain Railroad with our 3 year old son who hits his head on the 40 inch measurement device. Come Sunday to the animal kingdom and the day is ruined because for some reason he doesn't measure correctly there and Justin and the supervisor are not willing to help with a proper measurement. My family has annual passes and we come to Disney and stay the weekend about 8 times a year and have been doing this for years. This by far is my worst experience ever at a park and I hope Disney can fix the problem and be consistent with all of the parks...
Very hot during the summer with a few places to escape the heat. The animals and the shows make up for the low amount of rides. The rides that are there are amazing from avatar to the safari to Everest... the rides are awesome. It also has a beautiful night time show as well that you should see
Animal Kingdom is by far the best park. It is absolutely beautiful and there is so much to see and do. Walking along and having parrots just fly right over your head is an experience. Avatar at night is just an amazing experience also. Lots of color.
So incredible! Such a cool place and experience in one. Appreciate the kindness of all the cast members.
Love this park. Animal Kingdom is favorite. Great rides. Love the Safari. Staff super super nice. Lots of laughs. Food good.
My family and I really enjoyed the Animal Kingdom. The lines and waits were too long for us to see any of the actual attractions but the grounds are really nice. We ate at the Yak and Yeti, pretty good food for the price, considering we were at Disney. All and all really good.
We enjoyed another great day at Disney!! We experienced Animal Kingdom!! What an awesome Time!! It's a fun different twist on Disney with animals..
Big crowds. Lots for the little ones. The everest coaster was awesome. Didnt get to do avitar because I won't stand in line for 3 hours. I hear it's pretty cool though.. it was our first time to animal kingdom. I personally like Epcot, magic kingdom in Hollywood studios better.. If I want to see animals I can go to a zoo. Into the other Parks many times but that we better check animal kingdom out.
Once you've done it there isn't much to want to go back.
From lovely sights and even lovelier animals, the Disney animal kingdom is a great spot for the kids and at kids at heart. I was recommended to try the Avatar attraction in Pandora. It was fun but the wait time is really high . If you're willing to wait it's quite the experience though
Disney World is so much fun. The magic is everywhere. Rides, shows and animals are enough to keep you engaged all day. Try to pick a less busy time of the year if possible
Great place during COVID-19. Short lines. Staff are VERY attentive to safety measures.
Had so much fun with my family! If you like zoo settings and animal Discovery this a great place for the fam.
This was by far my favorite kingdom at disney world. The pandora banshee ride was worth the three hour wait and the river ride was worth the 65 minute wait. I have no words to describe how amazing and breathtaking the banshee ride was. The river ride has an animatronic Mo'at and when I first saw her I thought she was real. I also loved the Dinosaur ride, it was better than I remember as a kid.
No smoking areas. Except outside of park. Food is varied. Different price ranges. Pandora food spot is magical and DELICIOUS. Fun shows. Lines are long make sure to get your fast passes.
The villas was nice with Savannah view, we can see few animals.
The new part of pandora is good.
Do the safary tour is very close to a real one.
The customer service in the resort is really good.
The Flight of Passage attraction is a must! Ride a banshee, its life changing
One of my favorite parks. So much to see and do! And the food is amazing
Great place to spend time with family. Clean and well maintained. Lots to see and do. Fun holiday decorations and photo opportunities. Tends to be busy on holidays and dining reservations are required at all sit down restaurants. Use Mobile Order to quickly pick up food drink from counter service restaurants and avoid the lines.
Most magical place on Earth, correct? Other than 3 rides being shut down for the day, it was a good experience. It is not getting 5 starts only because of the price. Each ticket was $125. With three rides not even operational, I find it hard to say that $250 is worth it.
Pandora is so cool. Be prepared to stand in line for a long time. The night light show is also awesome.
For me, the best park of Disney world, you can take a safari to see animals in their natural habitat. Fantasy lands inspired in many movies and even more, great rides.
Not busy. Super clean. Able to see everything without long wait. Not many food options.
The safari ride was worth it! The avatar ride without fastpast were awful. We were standing in line for more than 4 hours for a ride thats only 4 minutes long. Bring lots of patience with you if you travel with kids. Don't miss the river of light
This place is awesome! I'm not a huge Disney guy (unlike my wife and daughter), but I loved this place. The different themes of the areas are very cool, as are the animals. And then there's the Avatar Flight of passage ride...... That thing is..... Well..... Hard to explain and totally mind blowing! If there's one thing you HAVE to do here, it's that ride
Animal Kingdom is our daughters favorite of the parks. She just really enjoys to see all the animals. The safari ride is bar none the best ride in the park for kids.
The best plan of action for the Animal Kingdom is to come early. You start off the day early you get and you see all the animals you go on the safari ride you walk around all day to the different exhibits. It s a really great experience.
Around noon time we go grab some lunch and we leave the park and go back to our hotel or resort and eat there. Escaping the midday heat this way.
We take a little nap and then go back later that evening for Pandora.
Now this is the adult side of the park and it is fantastic. Easily the best ride in the entire park is flight of the Banshee. Good news if you have kids you can do child swap meaning one person has a wait in the longer line and then jump to the fast pass line come out and swap with whoever watched the kid to come back in the fast pass line and go back into the ride essentially shortening your time that you d have to wait for two individual people to go through.
This is the plan that works great for us as we are there over the course of a few days at least and so are not stressed to fit everything into one day.
I love this place , nice place to hangout with friends , i feel very happy when i was here and i like to recommend to everyone to come and enjoy all the park of disney world , there are so many interesting rides are there somany different things to do . Food .... Overall very nice experience love to came Orlando and visit disney world ..love this animal kingdom love it ...
Animal Kingdom has really matured over the years. While Dinosaur and Mt. Everest are still a blast, the new Avatar area, Pandora, is beautiful and not to be missed. The new Flight of Passage ride truly is impressive! Keep in mind there was a 2 hour wait by 10:30am today and that's with Hurricane Dorian spooking folks this weekend.
We visited on 7/15/20, days after the COVID-19 reopening. Disney took adequate precautions to social distance and sanitize. At this time you must make a reservation in addition to having a ticket or annual pass. We bought our tickets on 7/9 and had no problem reserving the day we wanted to visit. There were virtually no lines for the rides. We did, however, have to wait 10-15 minutes for the Kali River ride while the cast members cleaned/sanitized the ride. They will do this periodically. All in all, we had a very enjoyable visit.
Pandora is the best and we got to see alot of animals on the safari.
Kinda not worth the $130 a ticket. Due to covid, a few things where still closed. Definitely would go to another park before going to animal kingdom again. Overall not a bad experience for not coming here since the 90s.
Wild for adventure in one same place... come to Animal Kingdom. Now, if you want to enjoy the Avatar ride, wake up very early. But I got there at 7:45 and it was packed...
This place is amazing and beautiful. Flight of the Avitar was excellent and we made a second long line visit to ride again. Wait time was 75 minutes both times. I'm prone to motion sickness and had no issues. The scenery, structures and landscaping in Pandora is outstanding and otherworldly. We were blown away by the beauty of it. The Safari is so much fun as the animals that are roaming about are never predictable. We visited twice and both tours had different animal viewings.
Out of all of the parks we visited I think that Animal Kingdom may be my favorite. The park seamlessly integrated the wildlife and all of its Disney themed attractions. Another highlight was Expedition Everest that may be one of my favorite thrill rides ever. Next time we visit Disney this is likely the first park we will flock to.
Animal Kingdom was a wonderful experience at Disney World. The Safari was one of my favourite experiences as they had many animals to view and take photos of. The Gorillas fall exploration trail that is near where you exit the Safari is More
Really is the most underrated park. The trees have really grown out a lot since the opening which creates a bunch of shadey areas. Love doing it on our last day as a chill disney day.
Great animal tours. Something for every age group. Baby zebra and baby gorilla will steal your show. Baby elephant isn't really a baby anymore, bit those tiny tusks are so cute. Even the birds are cool.
Awesome park! Be sure to ride Flight of Passage (Avatar) the best experience EVER! The regular safari was great too!
Do I really need to say anything ! Disney parks are well known through the world so I don't think any body needs a review on these parks. However, I would say; Don't rush it out. The park may not be huge but with the waiting time almost for each and every attraction even during non season hours, you would spend days before you go through each and every attraction in the park. So planning is the key to make the best out of your visit. Also, do not drive your own car but make use of many shuttles that may be available from different areas. This little trick would not only save your money but the time. Shuttles usually drop you off closer to the gates. Purchase your tickets in advance so that you wont end up spending in the ticketing line.
There are few places that can bring a smile to your face, make you forget about all of the day to day stuff in your life, and fill your heart with joy like Animal Kingdom can. The park is unlike the other Disney World parks but designed with the same creative magic that you'd expect from the Magic Kingdom or EPCOT. This park is focused on the beauty of our world, the animals, and wonders of nature, with their Tree of Life at it's center.
Visitors will be able to immerse themselves in the wonder and splendor of Asia, Africa, prehistoric Earth, and even the fantasy world of Pandora from the movie Avatar. Each is a unique experience and both visually stimulating and emotionally awe-inspiring. This is not just a zoo! This is not just a park for the amusement of children. This is much more. What you will find at Animal Kingdom, as an adult, is beauty, happiness, joy and wonder like you are a child again. If you are a child, you will build an early life memory that you will always look back upon and fondly remember.
Love this park!! Great immersion into the atmosphere. Pandora is captivating.. Exploration Everest is so much fun.. The Loon King show was spectacular.. And the Yak & Yeti Resturant is on oar with 4&5 star Resturants!! Can't wait to come back!
This park used to be considered more of a half-day park due to lack of rides and night time shows. This has changed, however, and you can spend a full day here having fun.
Flight of Passage is one of the best rides around. If you don't have a Fast Pass for it during the busy season, get there when the park first opens and run to get in line. Otherwise, you'll find yourself stuck waiting in line for 3 hours.
I think that the Everest ride and Dinosaur are my next two favorites. They are just a lot of fun.
Festival of the Lion King is a must see. It is enjoyable for peole of all ages.
I've never been on the Animation Station tour, but I will make it a point to do it on my next trip.
The Finding Nemo Musical is well worth watching. I was surprised how much I liked it, bit I was truly impressed by the quality of that production
The Tricertop Spin ride is a back-breaker of a ride, but perfect for small kids who can't handle bigger or scarier rides.
I've heard mixed reviews about Flame Tree BBQ, but I've enjoyed it each and every time I've gone.
The River of Lights show was okay, but just okay. It didn't help that the night I saw it they had to restart it 3 times. I may have liked it more if I didn't see the first 10 minutes 4 times.
I've also seen a projection show on the tree at night. I don't remember there being a clear story, so it was not much fun to follow. Great technology, just not a great show.
I love animals and different cultures, so I really enjoy this park. If neither of those to thjngs are of high interest, spend a half day here.
We mostly go during Pokemon events as there's not too many other people who are playing Pokemon Go here compared to the other parks lol. Seriously though we come here at least once a week. Walking around and looking at the animals is nice when it's too hot to wait in a line. We usually only go on rides when we have a fast pass as I don't like to wait in the lines since I can go whenever. I highly recommend the trial walks as a lot of people seem to ignore them or not know you can walk and see the tigers, gorillas, etc one is my the Safari ride the other by the Kali river rapids.
Animal Kingdom provides an immersive experience putting you in the wild outbacks of Africa and Asia. Like the other parks, the re-creation of the environment is top notch. Even while waiting in line there are many things to see. Of course, it is expensive but if you enjoy the outdoors, this is the best of the Disney experiences.
Love it, minus the long wait time. I suggest doing 2 days for sure. If you could buy and bring your own stroller, do that. It's worth it. Or just get one from a thrift store and then donate it back rather than renting one everyday at the park. Also, the parking lot is about a 10 min walk from the park of you don't want to deal with folding up the stroller to put it in the shuttle.
Loved Animal Kingdom! So much to see and do! The animals were so close it was awesome!
The park is fun, but flight of passage is a complete mess. I got to the park about 15 minutes before opening time only to find out that people had already been waiting in line for a while. I ended up being 30 minutes late to my lunch reservations. Disney was great about it and let me come in late for my reservation, but the line for the ride was crazy and honestly it wasn't even worth the wait...
My kids love it. Its a nice place to go. My little girl loves it.
Awesome time at the park! The Tree of Life shows are nice. Pandora is wonderful to see and experience during the evening.
Wonderful place to visit! The production of the Lion King was one of the best I have seen. Would recommend this park. Very kid friendly!!
Beautiful Park! A favorite of the four! And the BEST food and snacks were found here!
Great place best rides ever I recommend the Avatar Flight of passage
Very beautiful and well managed park! Of course, the animals were the best part! Private safari tours are available to those who want to pay. The food options at this park were delicious. Expensive but delicious. My children enjoyed the small dinosaur "land" with the few rides and carnival type games. The drive through safari ride was also fantastic! These were rides but felt more like a large guided tour. The nighttime here is also beautiful with the Tree of Life all lit up. The new addition to the park, Avatar, was also beautiful. Book fast passes. They will be your saving grace.
I love animal kingdom. I am an annual pass holder and go often. I have a 1 year old and have been bringing him since he was about 6 months old. They have rides that are suitable for him and several shows. He really loves the safari and different animal walking treks. My sister LOVES Kali river Rapids and would ride it over and over if wed let her. Expedition Everest is a lot of fun too. And Pandora is AMAZING. My son really likes the river ride and the rest of the family loves the flight of the banshee ride. The entire pandora experience is amazing. Animal kingdom is definitely my favorite park.
Being a former zookeeper for 10 years, I am amazed at the environment and the steps taken to keep these animals happy and healthy. The rides are informative and I'm still shocked at how they make the Safari seem so open and free. Such a good job with the park. Oh, Expedition Everest is a must do while at the park. Be sure to take on the Yeti!!
This is the most confusing of the parks at Disney World. There was so much to do but you re not sure where to start. The food was not as good as at the Magic Kingdom, the options are more snacks than actual food. Like fries, pretzels, pizza, dole whip, etc.
We went to see the Light show on the river. It was nice but if I had to choose to do something else I would. I wish there were more live animals. The safari tour went out of booking really quickly on both days, maybe there could be more of this or multiple versions.
A great park for people of all ages! I went with my mother, and we both adored it. They have a great variety of things to do from live animal viewing (like a zoo) to musical performances to roller coasters. Great food. Great cast. Would definitely recommend and probably will return again with in the year.
Over a 3 hour wait for Avatar. Sign said 120 minutes. App said 100 minutes. 3hrs and 15 minutes later we boarded. What a joke. Asked employee how long and they just said they had no idea. Fast pass took over 1hr and a half. Wait times way out of control. Employees are really rude. Not worth the money just to walk around and look at stuff.
We enjoyed the mountain roller coaster ride!! The best in the park! Would have given four stars but the safari ride was not what was expected. We barely saw any animals. Our driver just kept saying they were hiding. The line is wayyyy to long and then you don t even see half of the animals
Animal kingdom is an incredible experience for the family. There is a mix of animal viewing activities and roller coaster rides. Much of the food is reasonably prices. The fast pass system is amazing and worth taking advantage of. Certainly an experiment more designed for families with kids but because Disney is so excellent it s even entertaining for adults! Expect heavy crowds and long lines. The safari is and the new Pandora ride are a MUST.
Been in park in nearly 3 hrs when l received prompt to rate my experience. Still in line for first ride (Pandora- nice visuals in the line) From what I'm told, only 2 hrs or so to go. We came to same park 2 days ago and got one ride in 4 hr-- left due to crowds Rethinking plan to bring grandkids later this year; price per ride is high!
Wonderful place with head and heart looking after our planet. They have banned plastic straws which is AMAZING! All the parks should be doing this. The Safari was incredible - go early in the morning when the animals are out due to feeding. Pandora left me speechless. The flight of passage ride is well worth the wait (you have to book your fast pass a few months in advance!). All the shows were incredible also.
Will never get sick of Animal Kingdom. You get to see animals in their own habitats. Seeing a baby elephant washing himself was one of the cutest things I got to witness on my last trip. Flight of Passage is the most amazing ride I've ever been on hands down, there's nothing like it and I cant wait for Disney to keep making more amazing rides like it. The wait time sucks but it's still worth it.
Disney World is a special place and Animal Kingdom even more. I love being at this park. We visited all new rides. The new Avatar with the simulation was an excellent experience. It is little difficult to get fast passes during the day. The lines are very long. Still, Animal Kingdom brings a lot of joy.
The park was very clean. The animals were amazing to watch. The shows were not open that is to be understood but kind of took a little bit away from the day. You can visit this park and see everything in a day
Truly loved Disney Animal Kingdom! Annual pass is the way to go even if you live in Florida. So many perks!! Rainforest Cafe rocks too.
Perfect place to go for all ages. It has coasters and shows and kid friendly rides. The best part is the safari! Has all types of animals so it has a little bit of everything for everyone. Best park by far for all ages!
Great fun. Everest and flight of the Avatar were awesome. They apparently are closing the safari right before dusk so get it in while you can. Not sure why they spent the money to make natural looking lights out there to see the animals at night if they were not running the exhibit then. Other than that it's a great place to relax and enjoy your surroundings.
I'm glad we were there on a day it was empty. If had to wait in the heat for the little bit of stuff here... I would of been upset. Having said that.... Avatar is the best ride I have been on in years!!! We waited 45 minutes and would have again if travel partners were into it.
Not happy with the fast pass. First stop at Pandora boat ride had us scanning twice. Thought we were to get three fast pass for three rides. We only got two rides with our fast pass because the first ride took two to get in. ??????
Nice park; great for walking around since many trees and shady paths. Gorilla trail is nice to walk with stroller. Book fast pass for safari early (before you travel). Dino land has spots to take pics with donald duck, daisy, goofy, chipmunks and more.
Most attractions have very long lines, you would need to book fastpass days before you visit.
Amazing! The Avatar Flight of Passage is a must do. Long wait times but worth the wait. Animal Kingdom has great shows and rides for all ages. Definitely a must see if you're going to Disney!
Pandora might be the best new game or simulator Disney opened this year. If you like the movie you are going to love this place. The detail and magic is unbelievable, and if you feel you have been too many times to Disney's Animal Kingdom, this attraction is worth the ticket alone.
Animal Kingdom is so fun. The Avatar flight of Passage ride was the coolest ride I've ever been on. Best 3D ride with the path leading up to it awesome with tropical avatar surroundings until you get into the ride and start going through the hallways seeing everything from the movie and then the ride in 3D like you're riding one of the Mountain Banshees you get to fly over the ocean through the jungles feels like you're there over water as mist splashes on you so cool I did it twice in one day the lines can be 1 to 4 hours long. So warm and such a tropical atmosphere in that theme park a nice place to spend your day with a drink at a bar that seems like it's in the jungle.
Loved this place. The animals weren't out cause it was too cold. Not to much for little ones to do. Dino land is for the little ones
Safe and reasonably secure. Basic food items through upscale dining are always great quality. Other parks go cheap on food quality. Employees are kind, respectful, helpful, cheerful 8/10 times. Park entry and parking are expensive. Daily items such as food, gifts reasonably priced. Fast pass system helpful and great idea, however rate 8/10. Some work needed on fast pass rules. Animal kingdom park, river of lights, rides, 5/5.
So much fun! Great food! Great park. Cast members were all super friendly
The staff is so unwelcoming! It's like their mad people came. Don't worry our passes are up soon and we won't renew. You lost the magic! Very disappointed. Epcot and Magic Kingdom was the same way.
Hands down the most immersive park in the world! World of avatar is stunning and cant be beat for themeing. Everest is one of the best coasters in disney and the animals are amazing on the safari. Always a great time for everyone.
Lots of the main attractions including shows and rides were closed for the whole week. You do get to see beautiful scenery, recreations of locations in Africa, Asia and more. Some up close encounters with big animals on a nice Safari that was open. Was not as great as it should have been sure to closed attractions though.
Pandora, lovely Pandora!
A place you should not miss in Animal Kingdom.
It makes you an avatar and get a ride in the Air.
Also the environment and animals around this park will definitely purify your soul!!!
Great place to visit
Everyone loved this park. Avatar Flight of Passage was the best ride ever. The flight simulation is so realistic you almost feel like you are really there. The safari expedition was another highlight followed by a ride on the most expensive coaster ever built-Everest. Even my 8 year old loved Everest.
Had some much fun with fams here ..there not alot of rides but it was worth it
Disney's Animal Kingdom is a zoological theme park at the Walt Disney World Resort in Bay Lake, Florida, near Orlando. Owned and operated by The Walt Disney Company through its Parks, Experiences and Consumer Products division, it is the largest theme park in the world, covering 580 acres (230 ha). The park opened on Earth Day, April 22, 1998, and was the fourth theme park built at the resort. The park is dedicated and themed entirely around the natural environment and animal conservation, a philosophy once pioneered by Walt Disney himself. Disney's Animal Kingdom is distinguished from the rest of Walt Disney World's theme parks in that it features traditional attractions while also exhibiting hundreds of species of live animals. Due to these sensitive conditions, special designs and provisions were incorporated throughout the park to protect the animals' welfare. The park is located on the western edge of the resort, and is isolated from the resort's other theme parks and properties to minimize external disruptions to the animals; as a result, the park's nighttime show also features no fireworks that would otherwise disturb the animals. The park also uses biodegradable paper straws and prohibits plastic straws, lids, and balloons. Disney's Animal Kingdom is accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums and the World Association of Zoos and Aquariums, which indicates they have met or exceeded the standards in education, conservation, and research. In 2018, Disney's Animal Kingdom hosted 13.750 million guests, ranking it as the third-most-visited theme park in North America and the sixth-most-visited theme park in the world. The park's icon is the Tree of Life, a 145-foot-tall (44 m), 50-foot-wide (15 m) artificial baobab tree. The park is the second-most-visited at Walt Disney World Resort, behind the Magic Kingdom.
I feel like Animal Kingdom is the least "Disney" of all of it's parks. Truly it just kinds of lacks that Disney Magic, for me at least. However, it is a really nice park to visit, especially if you've never been.
Be aware that this park usually closes earlier than the other parks. Depending on how long the lines are for each attraction this is probably easily done as a half day. You'll certainly have your evening free to do something else in the area (such as Icon Park).
Even with a drastically reduced Covid-19 park crowd, the lines were pretty long for most things. We did not wait for the River Journey due to the more than hour wait and lack of any Fast Pass options right now.
The Safari Tour was really a nice experience. Yes, Animal Kingdom is a glorified zoo, but it really doesn't feel like it. The safari tour is set up to feel like a miniaturized visit to Africa. Be prepared for a bumpy ride in the Safari cars. Signs and the guides warn you of the rough terrain, and they are accurate. Small children should have very attentive parents with them. Items could easily be dropped out of the cars and you most likely won't get them returned or returned in working condition.
Overall a nice day. A good shorter day if you're in the middle of a packed week and need a bit of chill.
Awesome place.... Loved the Animals. We really loved Pandora! Done so well. Amazing rides! Beautifully landscaped.
Great park, too crowded though and any animal attraction will be closed before 5.
