Had the best time in Pandora Flight of Passage, Mt Everest Yeti and River of flights
I highly recommend getting fast passes. This place was amazing - the earlier you go, the better. But you already know that. The parking was highly efficient. As far as security - most people went through metal detectors but others could get a manual bag search (I didn't walk through a metal detector after my bad was searched). My family and I spent about 13 hours here. We had sunscreen and sunglasses but you can easily find shade no matter which continent you're visiting in Animal Kingdom. The Pandora Canteen (restaurant with The Avatar Theme) had the BEST FOOD HAND DOWN at an amazing price. Trust me when I say this. We went there for dinner. Oh, for lunch, we brought our own food.
I enjoyed the safari in Africa but Pandora was my absolute favorite. My least favorite place was Dinoland USA but there's one mini roller coaster that made me scream... I'm not a fan of ride but it was fun... and scary. There are plenty of stroller sections, but not enough first aid stations throughout the area, in fact - there was only one...
Anyway, I had a great experience and slept amazing that night because of all the walking,
From dinosaurs to lions to a magical glowing world, animal kingdom will not fail to impress.
Great park loved all the different countries and pandora Avatar is so amazing
The avatar ride is the best Disney ride by far. It is so much fun. I waited 3 hours in line but it is still worth it. After doing it I felt so much happier
I hate to say it, but this park just does not have it together like the others do. First, the times for all the rides are WAY off. We started at the Pandora ride, that said 180 min (3 hours). Three hours in and no end to the line in sight, so I asked how much longer. They would not say. So I asked, what percentage of the line had I gone through? Not even half way. So... 180 min line that 3 hours later I had not even made it half through was rather upsetting. At that rate you can spend HALF the entire time the park is open and not get through 1 ride!!! The park was packed in general and it seemed everything was understaffed. I waited 30 min to get a drink. Why? They only had 1 person serving. Basically what I learned was if you don't have a fast pass to a ride, don't bother, you will not make it.
However, the reason they get 3 instead of 1, was the Nomad Lounge was incredible! Our server, Derek was awesome and he redeemed our previously frustrating day. Also just walking around Pandora at night was pretty cool.
I enjoy visiting Animal Kingdom. My favorite is the Kilamanjaro Safari! I also enjoy Dinosaur and Everest! They have good food as well. Sadly, there aren't a whole lot of rides, but be prepared to stay on your feet and do some walking tours.
Long waits... But Pandora was great. Fast pass is a must for that. Navi River not worth the wait. Tiffans restaurant was a high point... Very good. The Yak and Yetti restaurant was a real let down. Not anywhere near the caliber as Tiffans.
Over booked park!! Horrible experience. Wait time park should be name these parks nowdays. Fast pass overbooked too, not available.... Disney is just selling and selling and it can not handle the amount of people in. Don't come to waist your time and money. Never coming back
amazing day out, pandora was so beautiful and i dont even like avatar
Fun place for kids and grown ups! Only reason not for 5 stars is that they need more thrill rides at Animal Kingdom.
Absolutely love the Dinosaur ride!
Love this park relaxing lovely walks and shows always a different experience .Food again not brill they did a great beef sandwich in June for some reason have stopped .The new side Avatar is fantastic a couple of great rides all lit up at night and the night show is fantastic ..You can walk and sit we are in our 70s and love this park ,well all Disney really ..We love to walk around the animals it's not a zoo so much more natural..we will be back but sadly think our next visit will be the last as tickets are so expensive a don't do ride much so will enjoy our last visit next April .we have been going since before this park opened and the first year it opened don't think I saw many animals them ,has greatly improved.
Animal Kingdom was awesome, which is exactly what one would expect from a Disney park. Staff were friendly and we were treated very well. It was a truely magical experience!
The best theme park for kids I would say! My son fully enjoyed it and was super excited throughout the park. The park wasn t that crowded compared to the other theme parks but it was worth every penny.
Another park of Walt Disney and it was amazing! The shows are very cool too! I have enjoyed the show in Africa the most! The pandora - avatar requires a long wait but it's all worth it! The park looks legit!! It was a great experience!
Avatar, Safari are the best followed by the light show in the evening. Dino land for the kids and the roller coaster for the adventurous!
Flight Of passage was awesome river ride was ok. Kilamanjari safari was fun and saw lots of animal got soaked on Kali river ride
Waited all day just for them to close Expedition Everest. They kept giving us different reasons for why the ride was closed and this was until closing. Total waste of money.
I had an amazing time on the Safari and Flight of Passage Rides. The Lion King musical is a must. Try a Disney snack and dance to the beat of the different culture music. End the night with the River of Lights show.
Lots to see and do here. You need more than one day. My son loved the Safari. It was awesome
Disney's animal kingdom was an absolute blast to visit. Although I had some mobility issues, I was able to access all of the rides and not have to worry about being left behind by my family. Great learning experience, animals, staff. Really had fun
This park has a different vibe than the others, it doesn't feel like the artificial touristy attraction. It is very enjoyable and great for kids. The Everest and the Pandora rides are amazing, and the Safari and Rapids are fun too.
Our family loved it!! Pandora was great, flight of passage was incredible. Kilimanjaro Safari was also really great, up front experience with lots of different types of animals. Expedition Everest was awesome, very exciting. Don't miss the river of light show at the end.
Picked the perfect time to go. Great weather and not busy at all. Staff was great as usual. Update 10/02/2020... great time to go! No lines, great covid precautions.
Many people say that if you are skipping one of the for parks, this should be the one... I HIGHLY disagree. Animal kingdom has great attractions, beautiful scenery, amazing stores, and beautiful animals! Please don't skip animal kingdom, grab a park hopper and go on the safari!
It s a great place, a lot of walking as it s very spread out, but it is really nice there. The atmosphere is great, the Safari is second to none (except the real thing of course), the Avatar area is amazing, (however I personally found the rides could have been better given the hype), and its just a really nice place to be. I wish there were a little more there and on quieter days you can really fly through the place pretty quickly, but it s definitely one of the better parks to visit! A lovely place, very well kept and immersive experience.
Right now the lines are little to none. We rode Flight of Passage 3 times in a row with no wait. Disney is doing a great job enforcing the safety precautions. This refreshing cocktail was yummy too!
We loved it!!! We had a blast from the animal safari to riding Flight of passage and Expedition Everest. So much to do and so many things to see the detail is not spared. Disney never disappoints! Highly recommend this park.We took a 9 year old boy and a six year old girl and neither one of them wanted to stop. We went open to close. And watch out for the big show the ending will get ya!
This was the favorite for all on vacation. Kiddos loved it and so did we!
Love the parks all of them for all reasons specific to them each. A little Disney crazy here would love decorating the parks at night and being Holifay Services, woohoo!
My favorite Disney park! Flight of Passage is fantastic!
During covid I expected more as far as hand sanitizer being used etc. Not much to do for adults but pandora was awesome
Awesome park! Safari was fun, Avatar was the best ride! We ate buffalo nachos, super yum
The happiest place on earth minus all the people there
I have never had a bad time at Disney - it's my happy place! This time I couldn't wait to leave. There were 3 hour waits for some rides and the fast passes were all gone before the park was open to the general public. We couldn't find a place to eat without an hours wait- this included counter service. Even the snack carts were sold out. It was mobbed! I have never experienced such crowds. I wouldn't go back at the end of April - ever!
Next to the Magic Kingdom this is by far the second best park Disney World has to offer. It has the infamous Avatar ride called Flight of Passage. You must have a fast pass or you need be there to open up the park or the lines are just hours long. The ride is really incredible. There is so much to do at the park, & the Safari is bar none as well as the rivers of light show is incredible. If you go do the Character Breakfast at Tusker house. Even if you think your kids are too old for the characters they're not and the breakfast buffet is incredible.
Pandora changed the game for me! The flight of the navi was out of this world literally. It was so amazing that I knew that every ride after would not be able to compare! The water ride we rode after further proved this point. 5 hours of waiting in lines provided to be enough for us, we were so sure we couldn't explore the rest of the park, and that's why were giving it a 4, and not a 5 star review.
My personal favourite park in Orlando. Its has the Disney Magic
Go find your adventure and wonder!!
Great place for a little of both :)
I love this park! My family and I were planning on leaving around noon to go back to the hotel and nap, but we ended up spending a good 8 hours enjoying ourselves. We did fast passes for the safari and na'vi river journey and used the single rider line for Everest. Everything else was hardly any wait. I can't wait to go back
Pandora is an absolute must!!!!
They really did an outstanding job on this experience
This is my favorite park out of all 4 parks in Orlando.
In July 2019, I visited Disney's Animal Kingdom. Parts of Animal Kingdom reminded me of San Diego zoo. I arrived too late in the day (arrived 12:30pm - departed 7:00pm on a Wednesday) to enjoy the entire the Animal Kingdom Park. I spend must of my time waiting in Lines. I waited a little over 2 hours to get on the Pandora Ride, Avater Flight of Passage (simulator). This ride was awesome!!! I will do it again, but next time I will get a Fastpass. Fastpass was half the waiting time. The Lion King show was great too. The performers were awesome! Their crowd interaction along with their performance, costumes, and the animations were great. The Kilimanjaro safari and the Gorilla Falls trail were good. No good choices to eat in the Africa section.
Walt Disney World Animal Kingdom We love Pandora, and Everest is amazing.
Even though this park is beautiful, the long wait times made for a disappointing experience. This was January, cannot imagine what it d be like during the busy months.
Average wait times were two hours for the popular rides. Make sure you get Fast Passes ASAP. Even though it s Animal Kingdom, we saw a handful of animals. To see the majority of the animals, you have to go on Safari, which was a two hour wait even in the morning. Also, customer service was not on par with other Disney parks. NOT ALL, but many of the cast members we encountered at Animal Kingdom we re not friendly.
On the plus side, Africa was awesome. The Lion King show was very entertaining, and since it plays multiple times a day, it s actually accessible to all visitors. The acrobat show was also a highlight.
Another plus was the number of characters in Dinoland. We met many more characters here than in Magic Kingdom.
This is quickly becoming my favorite park after Magic Kingdom. Pandora is amazing. The detail is crazy. It really feels like you're in the movie. Both Flights of Passage and Navi River Journey are amazing rides.
My favorite coaster, Expedition Everest, is here too. So much fun. My brother and I got a little obsessed with it and rode it 8 times in a day. Liked Dinosaur and the Kilimanjaro Safari ride cannot be missed.
I honestly hated Animal Kingdom because it was basically Disney World's version of a Zoo. But I was surprised after visiting there. It was packed with fun and excitment and the Avatar Flight of Passage ride was the best attraction in the park. The Expedition Everest was another favourite ride of mine including the interactive "It's tough to be a bug" in 3D.
Great rides, fun educational encounters. The wilderness explorer badge quest is fun for the kids and it keeps them engaged. The Up! Bird show was great. The Safari is fun and different every time you go. Plan ahead arrive early and get your fast passes so you don't spend too much time in line.
Pandora is absolutely stunning. The attention to detail is incredible and the rides are incredible
Pandora is amazing. Had a great day on all the rides.
Oh boy animal kingdom. Yeah it's fun but wish there was more. The really only good rides are the pandora rides and mount. Everest. The tree of life has to be the best addition adding in the lights so at night it glows. It's a good park but obviously not the best.
Great park with some really good rides. The cast members are always great and the night shows are fantastic.
We loved our trip the Animal Kingdom a few years ago. This was our first trip to Disney with the kids and they had an absolute ball. Will def be taking them back to Disney again soon. First class staff as always and the grounds were fantastic. Gotta say the food is crazy expensive but hey its Disney so what do you expect? You get what you pay for! I would opt for a food package if staying for a few days.
An Experience that is unforgettable. The safari is one of the best experiences at Disney s Animal Kingdom. Try to get a window seat for a better photo op. All of the park is fun & educational, but in my personal opinion, the Safari is the icing on the cake!
So much fun! Light show so worth going to! They've done a great job with this park. Can be done in half a day when we'll planned
Not my first time visiting Animal Kingdom. Such a great experience. Safari Adventure is an absolute must. Go early in the morning as the animals like to take shelter from the heat the later in the day it gets. No promises of seeing them all if you go past 10am. The characters were awesome and walked the park a lot.
Fantastic place for everyone to have a great time. Lots of fun things and activity. River's of lights was fantastic.
Another example of how Disney is dropping the ball. this a bathroom in Animal Kingdom. The cleaning cast member was in the bathroom cleaning, but apparently thought throwing a dirty cleaning towel on the floor in front of the trash cans was an appropriate thing to do. Poor Walt and his standards appear to have been forgotten
I wouldn't give this park a Star but had no choice to write the review. 11 guest aged 10+ and a 3 year old in the party. Nobody enjoyed this park. The set up is just terrible. Their main goal here is spend, spend, spend. Not worth the money. On the Safari ride most of the animals were MIA or "sleeping". Makes you wonder if the animals even exist or were the holograms out. Drive to a zoo close to home and add on an aquarium and you will be better off at a cheaper price with a much better experience.
I love this place. It is possibly one of the most beautiful theme parks ever created. Every part of the design was well planed, and it seamlessly integrates with the nature around it. The staff is super friendly. There is plenty for families to do with all ages. From playgrounds, to simple rides, zoo like walks, and more complicated roller coasters, it is a wild time. The safari ride, my favorite, allows people to get close up encounters with animals that they might never see.
We had an awesome time. They was such to endure everyone properly wore thier masks. They paused the ride to clean frequently. Hand sanitizer was plentiful. The lines were quick. I just hate it closes early you can't enjoy the magic of Pandora in the dark.
The new Avatar world is absolutely amazing. Such detail and thought put into every part of it. Animal Kingdom has always been one of our favorites but even more so now!!!!!!
Highly recommend if your a animal lover this is a must see amazing
We went at 6am for the rise of the resistance. The organization of this ride in the AM is nothing more than chaotic. Claustrophobic and it was a free for all on the phones to get a decent spot to get 9n the ride. We finally got our boarding pass but had to wait 9 hours until we rode it. This is no way to run an international company where it costs a car payment month to get a family of 4 in. I am glad we decided to go to animal kingdom where this were marginally better. I will not get annual passes in the future. The cost to the value is not with it
I always love Animal Kingdom. Great place for smaller kids.
Can not say enough about this place! The safari was amazing! Of course the people were the best! Not to mention all the food was great!
the vibrant, beautiful areas all around the park makes it feel like a home. The nighttime shows are remarkable, the food here is insane. And the attention to detail is crazy. You will love it here, I assure you.
Had a WONDERFUL time at Animal kingdom. A Big thank you to Manager Nathan and Lou from The Festival of The Lion King for taking such good care of us. A Great time, a must do! Take a safari ride, ride some rapids, or take a trip to mount Everest, you will not be disappointed. We loved the 'Up' bird show where All kinds of trained birds fly around over head. We did so many different things, it was a blast!
Always love going around Animal Kingdom. We enjoy the rides, the performers, of course the animals and pay attention to all the wonderful plantings around the park.
This place is amazing. It was super crowded of course. The Safari was way too fast but the food at this park was the best and we had a great time there.
Overall we liked the park. The weather wasn't to pleasant as it was a balmy 53 all day and cloudy most of the time. One thing that was troubling was even with a fast pass we had to wait 1 and a half hrs for the Everest ride!. Why have these passes if they give out to many , or can't keep up with expected volumes of customers? On a final note.... those bubble things they sell need to go away. We dodged and evaded some but they still found their way into my eyes and our mouths....it is very annoying. I know it's to keep the kids entertained but most of the time the parents use them to get thru the crowd! I would suggest just having them light up would be enough.
This is a great place to go if you have too much money and like to stand in multiple hour long lines.
I would have to say that it s almost as good as a colonoscopy, but not quite as good as a root canal.
Only come here if you hate your family and enjoy wasting your money.
Awesome place like other Disney Parks. Variety of entertainment options. Yeti roller coaster is very nice. Pandora is very well decorated. Journey to pandora was really awesome.
Animal Kingdom is lovely, it has a Safari that let you meet a lot of fantastic animals that were used like reference for The Lion King movie, try to go to the safari when the sun is setting down because it gives you the chance to watch more animals like lions that are nocturnal or when is more cold.
Go to all avatar attractions in Pandora, no matter the wait time, go to Avatar Flight of Passage, it is an incredible experience.
Check the show time of Festival of the Lion King and try to watch it, is like a mini broadway show and is fantastic. Kali river rapids is a nice way to refresh you if you go in summer and Expedition Everest is a ride that you need to experience, it has a nice surprise.
The ride where you fly over Pandora is amazingly immersive. I was blown away by the experience and highly recommend it for you too!
Animal kingdom is the one of the best place for enjoying with kids. Different roller coaster are there, even simple rides, meeting mickey, Minnie, Donald, talespin characters, finding Nemo characters, etc. It was a real fun. Be a kid and live your dream here. Best part is Avator ride and even it's ambience truly awesome
I loved this park the best over the others. I was way fun. Disney makes it all incredible.
Big and open theme park and of course very clean. Not to many rides but that isn't a bad thing. Lots of shops and a small kid area. They have a neat walk through jungle were they have apes and monkeys and other animals to see.
Be prepared to walk more in this park. I put in twice the amount of steps as the other parks. It is definitely worth the walk though! So much to see. So much to admire about our beautiful world.
I am 34 years old and for my 1st visit i loved it, even during Covid October 2020
What a park! I was not super excited about visiting this park this year. The last time I went I was probably 13 and I did not have memories that stood out. I didn't think it was anything special. But boy was I wrong. We kicked the day off with the safari where we saw so many animals. We also did a night tour before leaving the park which I would highly recommend. It was a total different experience. And Pandora did not disappoint. The flight of passage ride was literally the best ride I have ever been on.
Best Kingdom in Disney World! Everything is entertaining and exciting. Love the Pandora rides despite the super long stand by time.
Had a fantastic time! Pandora Flight of Passage was amazing - definitely worth the wait! The line wanders through pretty scenery and fans are strategically placed for hot days.
I could spend days here, the safari is a must for everyone. You wont regret it, I've never been so close to so many amazing animals. Plus the guides are fantastic.
Do to the covid restrictions theres not much to do in the parks. Main thing of going to disney with my 2yr old is to see at least Minnie and Mikey but that didnt happen. If the cost of the ticket would be less, since theres less to do I guess it would be ok but paying full price for a half Disney experience that really just didn't feel very magical at all is hot worth it. Personal recommendation dont go till the covid goes away or you'll just waste your money...
Pretty impressive park. Fantastic for the family. As you can imaging the place can get extremely busy as it was the day we visited. Everyone has to see Disney once aye! We managed to get tickets for free from a friend, not sure I d be happy paying full whack for a ticket. Definitely a place for the more we ll off, shame it prices out many children from enjoying.
Beautiful park but I strongly suggest that you get fast passes to the rides you want! If you don't care for rides, there are great self-guided walking tours where you can see tigers and gorillas and birds. Try the food at Satuli Canteen in the Pandora area of the park. The counter service in Asia is delicious as well. I like Tiffins and the Yak and Yeti for sit down restaurants. The entire park is just beautiful to meander through.
Here are some tips for Pandora, get there early DONT run but speed walk save your energy because there's a bridge segment where they stop everyone, and honestly just have fun
Love the animals. It us a nice ride a well, to give your tired feet a rest.
Always a great experience. Especially enjoyed the new Avatar experiences.
This park really surprised me. I thought it would be a big zoo. It is far beyond a zoo. The rides and coasters were exciting and different. I like the fast pass option that is free of charge for first come first serve. The food was very good. While the food is expensive, I thought it was very generous portions for an amusement park. The safari was outstanding. It will be different every time you go what you will and won t see. But it will be a great experience every time.
We had fun, The Avatar section was amazing! Flight of passage is a must, and very much worth the wait.
