Discovery Suites Review

Some waiting staff are oddly discriminating. This particular waitress didn't even smile serving us. Like we weren't deserving of her service.
Her discrimination is a bad representation of your hotel.

First of all, the accommodation in the Philippines was well equipped for 4 stars and the rooms were so comfortable!

Nice hotel in the middle of Ortigas CBD. Their rooms are clean and well appointed and also are quite spacious. One probable downside is that the second Tower is a commercial space for offices. Thus you need to share elevators should you wish to go to a function room in the second Tower. They have a transfer floor but it's not always operational. Stayed here for a business trip.

Nice location, near malls and accessible from EDSA via walkways.

Although I hope the elevators were faster or had more elevators to scale the heights.

Discovery feels old compared to neighboring hotels in Ortigas like Marco Polo and Joy-Nostalg. What I liked about my experience here was their buffet menu especially their delighting shrimp bisque, pork stew and fettuccini.

Rooms are really spacious with its own kitchen and the T&B and bathtub is also huge. You can literally swim in it. :)

Newly renovated rooms are much better. But still nothing like their boracay hotel

The hotel room is comfy and nice. But the vibes outside the room is kinda off. It feels like youre in a college building and not in a hotel. The room has complete sets of things you needed. It is only the whole building vibe that I dont like.

There are not all rooms and suites in the room, but there is also a microwave. There are a lot of shopping centers around

In the heart of Ortigas - great value for your money. As a plus there's a kiddie area - indoor pool and a hot tub.

Lovely staff, beautiful views, amazing food, and a guaranteed good night's sleep!

The experience at Discovery Suites was just incredible. The staff were always helpful, friendly, considerate, thoughtful and kind. They consistently look for opportunities to make me enjoy my stay. This hotel truly deserves a five (5) Star rating. Awesome job Discovery Suites!

Doesn't feel like a 4-star. Better than other 5-star hotel in the PH. No old carpet smell and bath tub has TV.

For business convenience, I have stayed here half a dozen times in the past year or so. The quality of rooms are frustratingly not consistent, varying from good to poorly maintained. Why I have not given a higher rating is because of the consistently poor laundry service (I have never had an incident-free experience and it culminated in them losing one of my clothing - that was found a month later), and the hotel's inability to rein in the 24-hour construction noise from the Podium. For the individual traveller, the one-bedroom suites will be more comfortable and restful.

We had our company Christmas Party and Team meeting last 2015 and 2016. It is expensive for a reason. We had a very cozy and luxurious stay at this hotel.

Reasonable corporate rates. Spacious rooms and a good buffet spread.

One of the hotels that can give you a very good view of Metro Manila skyline and Laguna Lake at the same time. The facilities are modern with friendly staff. Underground (basement) parking are somewhat crowded in design and at some point impossible to maneuver to with a long vehicle like vans or coasters. Rooms i have yet to experience.

This place is excellent! Serendipity rooms are just awsome, room service is great, and the hotel stuff is very friendly and willing to help.
If you're comming to Manila, I would strongly recomend to stay here.
Unfortunately the Hotel pool is not very big and might be crowded, nevertheless the Spa, Gim and all other services are excellent!

Love the hotel from everything to its room, dining, amenities. Love their daily breakfast. Hopefully, soon we'll try their famous steak. I have the room customized for my wife's birthday. To my amaze, it exceeds my expectation!

Slightly clogged shower and sink drainage in one our rooms, but we still loved our stay nevertheless

A very nice well located hotel in Ortigas district of Manila. Comfortable room and good breakfast service. Best of all, the staff.

We are a family of six and had a staycation in Discovery Suites. The rooms are gorgeous with view but not the full view since there are constructions from back and front. Food was great and there were many selections during breakfast. Security, yes were checking the bags but some customers were not checked (just my observation). We had an experience; we had to move out from our original room because of the AC from the 2 rooms. It got frozen and needs to melt. What I like about is how the Night shift handled our concern. We were assisted by Houskeeping (I think it was Jay and I forgot the other staff, sorry) and Annie-the manager, as we were transferred to our new room. It was just the same floor! that my daughter didn t notice we moved since she s sleeping. Our room was beyond expectations, though we had to move; the housekeeping staff was efficient, attentive. BUT I particularly what to extend my thanks to the staffs that helped us, Annie and Jay, and the other one. I have been to larger or newer hotels but do not recall a better accommodating staff. It was actually a good move to transfer us on the same floor and with the same set up of beds! Terrific staff! Exceptional job, arranged by concierge! We look forward to returning soon!

Luxury hotel
Stayed in 3 bedrooms. It was very spacious and comfortable. However, since the center of Manila is a little far away and traffic congestion is severe, I would not go for people who want to make a main sightseeing in the center. . I thought. The security is solid and the staff is friendly. I want to stay again.

My family and me went here and it is really amazing=) Our room was big, the service is really great and the breakfast buffet too. I love it!

Ideal location to stay for doing business within Ortigas District. Rooms are well maintained but gives off an old vibe and may sometimes have allergens. They do have an ionizer to counter this.

It's hard not to pay for the accommodation, but to feel the discomfort in the neighborhood apartment apartment. Even chairs that can stay or rest in the lobby are timeless and check-in takes a long time. The staff who received the passport and the check-in staff were tired of communicating, and the rooms were relatively large, but our rooms were structurally connected and had to hear the unknown language of the next room. It was a project window that had not been opened and it was a high-rise, but there was nothing like the front wall view. The restaurant table I stopped for breakfast had literally gathered pottery and had to eat Indian dishes with a lot of spices (?) And unusually floury bread and shoot them for the first time. The fruit corner watermelon couldn't be, but I was embarrassed by the texture in the airtight container, but it felt like coming home and it tasted good. The swimming pool hasn't been visited many times, but it's very small and difficult to stay at. However, there were relatively many restaurants nearby and there were many shopping malls within walking distance, so it was good to use it. The Mall of Asia took about 40 minutes to 1 hour 10 minutes depending on traffic conditions. Lastly, thank you for the early check-in that was not requested, and the rating was increased.

Very good place to stay in the heart of city, suites are extremely good, room size is big, good service, very good continental breakfast with choice of some Indian vegetarian items.

Santa Maria Room is nice and the waiters were courteous. The parking wa challenging though.

Place looks dated and you can see they were trying to upgrade the look and feel. Tiles in bathroom and kitchen were renovated which is good but carpet and other furniture and fixtures need to be replaced. The room we got even had a casette tape sound system which was funny to expalin to kids. Buffet breakfast was okay, coffee was not. Kids enjoyed the play area which was a cool feature. Hotel is right across podium mall which was awesome. Oh by the way, beware of narrow basement parking especially if you're bringing a van or suv.

Before anything else, the hotel has a designated smoking area. You really just have to travel down the building then back up to another building to reach the DSA.

Nevertheless, they have very spacious and clean rooms. The staff in the hotel lobby are very welcoming. It's everything that you really will look for in a decent (and decently priced) hotel.

Love the place! All the crew are so helpful and accomodating. They were easy to approach. Love the breakfast buffet, and kids enjoyed the pool and jacuzzi. The rooms are very spacious with complete amenities.

Big room, nice services with only little thing to improve such as buffet breakfast at 5th floor, it needed to have more choices of foods. I rested here for 3 night with almost there same 3 breakfast. ... Such a boring and low appetite. Anyways other are great here.

Best customer service. Accomodating and has attended to our needs even without us asking. They gave us a free bday cake for my niece that made our celebration extra special.

Arrived at Discovery Suites at 2:30pm becoz check in time is 3pm. The place has been overbooked last 26th and altho we paid and reserved the 3 bedroom suites since September, w had to wait for 2.5 hours at the lounge for the assigned room to be "prepared and cleaned". However, the staff tried to reduce our anxieties by offering free drinks at the lounge and when they saw our agitation due to long wait - offered us with chips and pizza. Kudos to the staff for making the long wait bearable.

The best business hotel in Ortigas. Been here so many times and the service and facility has been concistent.

I stayed at the property for work for two weeks. The hotel is a bit vintage but well maintained, neat and clean. There are two restaurants one on the fifth floor open from 06:00 to 15:00 where they serve breakfast and another at the 22nd where you can have dinner. Very relaxing environment and all the staff both in the restaurants and at the reception like the one dedicated to the services on the floors is excellent. Always kind, smiling and helpful.
