Discovery Suites Review

Great and safe location. Spacious clean room with well equipped kitchen and bathroom. Comfy bed. super fast wifi. 100+ TV channels. Ample furniture and lighting fixtures. Great breakfast buffet. Hygiene and well equipped gym. Polite and attentive staff. Will come again.

Experience was great! Celebrated my birthday here and they gave me a greeting card, room staff are courteous and very helpful, complimentary valet service, plus they have guava juice in their buffet breakfast! These are the little things that made me want to go back.

Helpful and courteous staff at the lobby. The guard outside was equally helpful and polite.

The Function Rooms are cozy, but seemingly not ideal for big crowd activities. The food they serve though is great! Comfort rooms are clean and smells like lemongrass and citronella.

The parking space though is a bit of a challenge. If you're bringing an SUV, you need to negotiate the narrow lanes and sharp turns in the basement parking areas.

The service of the hotel is the best. I'm impressed.

The hotel was nice. However the entrance in the hotel and office are the same. Confusion can occur in that.

Self contained rooms are very well set, cool sound system for music, separate bath tub from shower. So cool.

If not for the old television in our room,the place is still good,so as the food. Maintenance are quick to respond upon calling.

Good price points and family friendly. Great breakfast too.

This place is a great vacation. Staff is nice and room is beautiful. Only issue is the construction happening outside but... It is the Philippines afterall.

I had the unfortunate experience of staying at The Discovery Suites for a week, while visiting Ortigas for business (from Australia).

There was a major stuff up (from their end) with the original credit card payment, which took 3 days of stuffing around to resolve. In the meantime, I had to double-pay to ensure I had a room. The front desk staff were unhelpful, unsympathetic (despite it being their stuff up), and made the process as difficult as possible to resolve.

On top of this - the toilet paper in the room appeared to have been replaced with sand-paper. There was only a couple of minutes of hot water each morning before the shower went cold. A number of items in the room service menu were not actually available for ordering. At night, there were what appeared to be prostitutes hanging around in the lobby.

The only redeeming feature were the lovely girls who run the buffet breakfast in the morning, who are absolute legends (and the mushroom pie in the buffet was divine).

No one from our company will be staying here again. Recommend Marco Polo instead.

Accommodation Discovery Suites is suitable for me......

If it looks like a good rating, it s either bot or a friend of the hotel getting a kickback for a good rating. This place is not what it claims to be. The wifi hasn t worked and they just keep sending a different incompetent person to try to fix it each evening. The breakfast selection is absolutely subpar. The hot water only last for 3-5 minutes max! You can get way more for your money at basically anywhere else in the country.

Edit: So, after cooling down and readdressing the hot water issue again. They are now telling me that there is nothing they can do. The most I ll get is 5 minutes worth. I sure hope no one plans on taking a relaxing bath while here in this hotel. Lol. Good luck.

Nice suites!! Spacious and good interiors. BUT PARKING tight!! Will have a hard time if wide vehicle

A good place to stay in middle of the busy city. Accommodating staff and delicious food.

Just a few minutes from 3 major malls this hotel is by far the best experience I've had in manila. The hospitality I experienced while staying at Discovery Suites was 5 star. The food was better than the restaurants out of the hotel. I have worked in the service industry my whole life and I can tell you for sure that if you book with Discovery Suites you will not be disappointed. Stayed here for 2 months for business purposes and was blown away by just how kind the staff were. Really made me feel at home. The wifi was fast, reliable and free which is always a big concern for guests but I had no issues. Also the air conditioning was always winter cold when I wanted it. Comfortable beds and always clean towels. This is gem, a 5 star hotel with affordable pricing!

Why is the elevator goes to 41st floor and you need to take the stairs to the 42nd floor and why is there no comfort room at the 42nd floor.

Stayed here overnight, got a big nice clean room for two. Easy to get a ride going to the airport as we had a flight the following morning. If you need to buy stuff you have malls nearby and even 24 hour convenience stores..

The malls are within walking distance and their rooms well kept.

Expensive but it's worth it with super friendly staff, excellent services and neat rooms.

We stayed here for a week. The place is really good but there were extra charges for almost everything. And the extra charges are really extra expensive. Also, the wifi is not too good. Nevertheless, the people are nice. The place is comfy.

Good enough as I have celebrated my birthday with my family here. But 1 incident unfortunately disappointed me. It took them nearly an hour to bring a lighter/match when i requested one. I followed up thrice, on my 4th follow up, just to prove a point... I went out the room, waited for the elevator (on 11th floor) going down the lobby, walk out the hotel, went to a 24/7 convenient store (around the back), went to a queue to pay for a lighter then came back at the hotel. Before going up... I called up my wife on the phone and ask if they have sent a lighter and she said "not yet".

This is when I gave 3 extra lighters to the front desk and told them just incase a guest might ask for a lighter/match... this will save them time and keep.the guest from being irate (in which case I was.)
*** match was for lighting the candle on my birthday cake... "yup... way to bring down 'a moment'".

Hope Discovery would find time to make up for it.
I have good memories with my family here.

Amazing place. The staff really do make you feel like home. Very pleasant and helpful. I would've given it 5 out of 5 but their lifts are extremely slow and takes very long. If you plan to be somewhere at a certain time you must add at least an extra 15min to compensate for the slow lifts

The one thing that I am a bit disappointed is the complexity of parking. Yes, it offers valet parking, but for those who don't want to avail it, it seems a bit off. But to be fair, everything else is great.

Great hotel. Clean and large rooms for families. I gave a 4 star because the one of the toilet smells when we arrive and the sink keeps on clogging.

Access to the business center is accompanied. Seriously, document printing for guests should be easily available from a 4 star hotel.

**Update**
A few hours before checking out, the gave us a complementary plate of finely sliced fruits to compensate the toilet complains.

Breakfast is not bad but not that great.
Their suite rooms are truly value for money.

Is a very good Hotel in a good location in Ortigas. Rooms
are very clean and in good conditions

Stayed recently for 4 nights. Comfortable bed. Clean toilet and bath. Valet, security guards, front desk, and housekeeping were kind and helpful. Food portions are ok. I was happy with the taste.

The place is nice, location is strategic if you want to stay within ortigas area.

Very accommodating staff. Nice amenities. Rooms are well furnished and clean.

It's a really good hotel. Prices are good enough. Having two restaurant at. One is only for breakfast. Prime 22 is one of the best restaurant you can find nearby. Having some vegetarian options too. Breakfast is good. Not much options for vegetarian. But you can request for some vegetarian options.

The rooms are good spacious...kitchen is home like...they have everything in the kitchen....and the welcome was so good....bed is quite comfortable...and the romm service is also clean n hygienic...

Overall a good place to stay - a few problems with the Aircon and WiFi but they sorted them fairly quickly

Only ok..pool is too small and covered so you can't enjoy the manila sun.. gym is good with friendly staff.OK for business travel with the suites a good size. Don't like the fact that only room service available after midnight so if working on European time, you've eating out. Any why does breakfast stop at 10.30...good be better set up for business travellers.

Discovery Suites is a beautiful hotel with lovely rooms for fitting your extended family. Breakfast in the morning is wonderful for getting your busy day started.
