Great place for kids to explore different scientific experiments in fun ways. My advise...kids should be 4 years min. otherwise not much to do. Annual pass is worth it - you can park in the lot by the mall if the parking is full.

We visited on the reciprocal program from another center. Parking you have to pay for but worth it. . All my kids enjoyed it ( 3, 9,11,11,12) The Dino exhibit is what drew us there. Typical science center exhibits otherwise like the many we have been to in the country. Definitely worth the trip

The Discovery Cube in O.C. is a wonderful hands on experience for children and adults alike. My 4 year old grand daughter loved learning about bubbles and the best formula to make them as well as how to shop in a market of the future and being part of a mission control for a trip to Mars.

Dinosaur exhibit was great. There was about 7 dinosaurs, other than that all the other rooms seemed to have no working A/C. Outside was cooler than inside. The dinosaur attraction outside was all not functioning at all. The dino store outside was not in service, all of this and they still charge full price. When I complained to the manager for some type of compensation she laughed at me as if I was ignorant and said there is a notice on the website. Which when I was on it doing research before I went, I didn't see any warning of any kind about non functioning A/C rooms. Otherwise I would not have planned on going on such a hot day. We litterally left because it was too hot inside the rest if the museum. All this I complained to the manager about and she looked at me with a smile as if I was crazy and said sorry I can't give any refund or comps. This was the first time and will be my last time visitng. Hopefully they make better decisions in the future.

Excellent place for children all ages. Enjoyed learning along with my kids. The facility had a few things that weren't working correctly. And I was a bit underwhelmed at the friendliness and helpfulness of staff. Barely saw any when we were there and those we spoke with didn't seem to want to be there.

Headed to the DSC with 3 bundles of energy (one 5 years old and the two others 7) in hope of spending some exposure to learning AND wearing them out. We arrived at 11:00 am and at the 5:00 pm closing time they were still going strong. They had a blast. Very interactive, informative and diverse areas, from space exploration to dinosaurs. The grocery shopping was done twice! All in all, I think that I made a good choice. I recommend for 3-4 and up.

Great place to go staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Would have been more entertaining with a few more amenities to teach the kids. Overall good time enjoyed it unfortunate that a couple of the displays were broken and unable to be used. Otherwise this would have been a 5 rating.

The place is quite educational however a lot of the machines aren t working. Basically you come in, you re on your own. Very minimal staffs not very knowledgeable, it a good place to hang out with the kids but don t expect much.

The Doc McStuffins exhibit is great! My 2 1/2 year old loved it. Them museum itself is geared towards older kids but it's interactive so the younger ones love all the touching they can do. Great experience!

There is a lot to do. They change the exhibits frequently enough to make having the membership a great value. We never see everything in one visit. The parking pass is a great deal too. The Long Beach Aquarium could learn something from the Discovery Cube in that way. The food is convenient & appetizing, but really expensive. Bring food, especially if vegan. I find the options at the cafe cost prohibitive.

Small museum, but a lot of things to do. Parking costs $5 and is limited. Arrive early to avoid parking in the farther lot. Teachers get in for free with proof such as current year's pay stub. They have a little cafe inside that sells food. We went on a Monday at 10:00 and were able to finish by 12:00 before school buses rolled in with summer camp kids.

This place needs a makeover...old exhibits, the last time we went here we complained and they gave us a refund bc half the stuff was closed, and there was mold on the steam machine...it was gross.

Was not planning a trip here but got rained out and thought the kids would love to go to a science museum. Over all I think the parents had more fun this place has something for everyone of all ages

We did not check the closing time and we arrived an hour early. We could not appreciate everything. But I think there is NOT much difference between the Tijuana and this one except for the cost that here is more expensive.

Major safety concerns for little ones. Exposed sharp corners at eye level all over the place in the first floor area with bubble fest. Cheap plastic fence used to create barrier is completely inappropriate for children, exposed raw sharp end with no thought to child safety. Tripping hazard in stroller parking area (small brace on plastic fence) Sharp edged table in tot area perfect for splitting little heads and everything else open. Exposed extension cord, no padding on pillars with sharp corners. Inappropriate placement of shoe rack too close to jumper ingress/egress. My daughter was ejected from the opening when a teenaged volunteer was not watching. She hit her head on the shoe rack which was approximately 1.5' from the opening. Her forehead had a visible bump and the haematoma is finally clearing up. Lucky she didn't hit the edge of the shoe rack which has an extremely sharp and jagged edge. No staff or manager on the floor and no one checking on volunteers. This place is one seriously hurt kid away from a major law suit! Don't have that kid be your kid! I was standing four feet away from the opening and saw my poor daughter get poshed or bounced (didn't see why she was flying through the air, just saw that she was) out of the jumper and smash her little head into a wooden shoe rack. It could have broken her neck the way she hit. We were extremely lucky. The bubble fest show was excellent and well produced. There were plenty of staff members and volunteers present to make the show safe and fun for all ages. The only issue is with the downstairs bubble fest area. I am not a safety nut at all but this area is dangerous.

Same stuffs as 2 years ago, not worth the family membership, don't make that mistake, it's supposed to make kids inspired and interested in science, not the other way around, the plastic grocery stuff, Bank of America room, recycling section and the hockey places are very disappointing. They don't refund unhappy memberships.

Awesome place to spend from an hour to a whole day. Bring your food or buy on the spot. A lot of experiments and models kids could get interested in. The best time is around noon work days. On busy days it is difficult to find parking.

It is an neat place for people to test science. It is great for educational purposes, seeing the laws of the sciences and to just have good fun. It traces everything from magnetic forces to dinasoars feces.

One of the best places in Orange County to bring young kids to learn about science and the environment. Recommended more to families that want to spend at least 4 or 5 hours doing fun stuff engaging with their kids

A cool place for younger kids, and the gadgets are very interesting. But it does get repetitive, and the food looks... interesting I would say. But they do sometimes have special things (like bubble fest). The store is great too.

Every child would love to play in this place for there are different colors painted on the wall and there are different toys displayed everywhere. They could choose also where to play especially if the kids have the desire to explore a new thing because as we all knew that they have different likes. There are also kids wanted to play the specific game they are good at. Mommies, bring your kids here!

So i first went to the discovery cube during the bubble fest and I have to say that it was not bad at all. My son was so happy to play with the may bubble "attractions" they had set up. But something that was the high of the day was the bubble show which lasted approximately 30min. The great thing about the show i that the kids could sit right in the front on the floor which is very nice because we were the last ones to get in but my son was still able to sit in the front. The parents can sit with their kids but they have to sit in the back of the perimeter they had set up in order to not block the view of other kids. The performer is a Guinness world record holder who performs all over the world. We had such a great experience that we got a one year membership which was 60 dollars for my son and one adult.
