While there are many good reviews, I would like to give another perspectives. This is recommended for all ages, I am here because of good reviews. In my opinion, it is too high-tech for young kids. It is general trend for Children s Musuem to include computers, tech games (so called educational games) for kids to learn a few of Science jargons. It is why kids have lesser attention spans. I am sorry for myself to be here. For young kids, what they should be playing is with natural materials and open play freely. I was thinking the grocery pretend Play is as simple and organic as having lots of pretend produce/products and kids size trolley. Oh I am so wrong. The trolley are equipped with high tech computer screen and games which fed up all my kids, it is bulky, heavy and they have to read to play, and they can t simply scan the car code of any produce randomly to learn. How can a five years old who barely know abc to play? Are you kidding me? Of course, it has some nice stations which are as other Musuems you could find, hurricane blowing machine, a giant globe projected as sun or mars etc, etc. These are popular in kids Musuem. Therefore, I give three stars. In short, kids for sure like interactive games, who won t? It is instant gratification. For me, I would second thought if I would like to come again.

I hate to do this but, went there yesterday to check it out, bride and I stopped in as we were on the 5 and our grand daughters are coming in a few weeks so, we decided to visit.
I bank at b of a so tickets were free, the part that bothered me is, after noticing that many things just did not work, we started a count of which did and which did not, 48%did not work or not as they were supposed to.

I went and mentioned this to customer service but the girl there gave me every excuse but to tell me, I'll get maintenance to go look at them, all I got was, well, the kids maybe broke them but no resolve.

We noticed many parents trying to make things work so the kids can see them working but all we heard was, well this is is also broken.

I think is is an interesting place, more for kids but things just have to work, oh, 50%of the exhibits in the cube didn't work as well.

Very disappointed. Almost nothing fun. Some of the exhibits did not even function. I would say it s more of a place for older kids (10 &up). Not much of hand on experiments for kids. Too expensive for what it was.

Really bad place everything is broken most of the time you might as well pay good money and take your kids to a real mueseum. Also theyre managers treat them really poorly and very unorganized.

I went with my significant other who had a hard time keeping me away from some of the exhibits as I was like a kid in a candy store, pulling levers, pulling and pushing buttons, the works at this center.
I had way too much fun if that is possible.

My daughter is volunteering there every Sunday Sunday, she loves taking care of little kids, I have never gotten into the place, but i am very sure it must be a magic and amazing place for kids to learn science.

Interesting exhibits ranging from basic science, space, earthquakes, dinosaurs, physics, and more. They have activities such as rock climbing and aerodynamic flight. The tour of Orange County was great! I loved the earthquake simulator!!!

Well in an adult's perspective, I at least think this place is for little kids barely learning to read and no older than ten maybe. Man the parking is a little tight here, especially for the amount of people that show up. The parking is $6 per vehicle. Luckily we made it a little early lol and found a spot right in the entrance, the rest of the parking was already taken up.
They had plenty of interactive stuff for the kids. We even had a chance to play around with some stuff lol. They do need to work on the Lego station though, many pieces were missing and the table I was sitting on (ok playing at) had the screen broken. So one of the main reasons we wanted to come is because they have a DC superhero exhibit going on lol. Well it was pretty cute and all the little children around us loved it lol. But I don't think this is a place to explore on you're own without any little ones.

This place is awesome. There are a bunch of fun things to do and great things to look at. I recommend you play the Shopping game on the 2nd floor of the place. It's really fun. Plus I'm very impressed with the new DC Exhibit they recently opened. I would've gaven this review a 5, but there was 1 thing that they NEED to fix. Please get more workers around. When I was playing this Recycling Game, a bunch of people started grabbing stuff off the conveyor belt at 1 station, they just put all the stuff on their station and never put the stuff back on the conveyor belt. Also some people were at the start where the conveyor belt begins, they just started throwing the stuff back to the start so it would never flow back through. Also people were not being fair by going multiple times and not leaving to back in the line to get their turn again. They would just look at the long line and just look away and keep going over and over not going back in the line. So Discovery Cube, my suggestion is to please get at least more workers walking around, or at least have 1 to 2 workers at each station please. Overall this place is great for families, friends, and kids.

Name describes it all, great place for kids to learn, experience and most importantly discover. They feature and change up numerous themes throughout the year usually every 2 to 3 months such as Dora the Explorer, Doc Mcstuffins, etc but my kids favorite is the ever popular bubble fest held annually around Spring Break, make sure you buy tickets in advance as tends to sell out. The addition of a 2nd building which houses the auditorium helped alleviate a lot of the overcrowding. Its a must visit if you have kids.

My 2-yr old loved this place a lot, many exhibitions and playing while learning. Advise to get the membership and annual parking fee. It is worth it and also tax deductible while supporting the center for educational purposes. The membership also gives you access to their LA campus.

They have several exhibitions which changes everytime. Also have multiple activities like rocket launch and pumpkin launch.

Pretty awesome place for the kids. Other than a few minor broken exhibits, there is so many great things to experience like a rock wall, a dinosaur themed outdoor area, earthquake simulator, virtual grocery store, and much more. Of course every activity has something to do with science, so be prepared for the kids to learn something new every visit. The staff is young, but knowledgeable and great with groups. I recommend this place for families with children 8 years or younger.

Lots of hands on activities for the kids! Personally, I think kids between 5 and 12 get the most out of it since they can explore on their own and can read and follow instructions on the exhibits without the pressure of their parents evaluating their every move. For children under 5, it's just a giant play structure with things to push, pull, hit, throw, etc.and to let parents believe their kids will be the geniuses that they aren't. In all seriousness, you should get an annual pass if you live in southern California, since they have special interactive exhibits that change throughout the year....also, I heard that the more often you go to Discovery museum, the more likely your child is to be admitted into Stanford and become the next tech billionaire. You can put on your child's resume that he/she is rated in the top 3.76% of all children according to DCPI (Discovery Cube Participation Index) criteria. It's worth 168 points in Stanford's admissions evaluation system which has a maximum of 1000 points.

Great interactive museum for kids 12 and under. Older children will be board. There are hundreds of cool science demonstrations that kids love. Great way to spend an afternoon. The food is a bit pricey but there are many healthy options.

The concept is great and I have a family pass, but the upkeep of the facility is not to par. For most of this year, the A/C does not seem to work in their building, making it a very uncomfortable environment for as busy as it is on the weekends with hundreds of kids running around everywhere. - My daughter loves their special exhibits, but they seem to be very disorganized may times. - If they just kept a tighter ship, this would be great learning facility for children.

This seems like a good science museum. Sadly there is little for the young kids to do. Everything was way over my 5 year old head. The grocery store seemed like a great concept, but my 3 year old just wanted to scan stuff that he wanted and the machine kept telling him to only pick what it told him to pick. It would have been nice if there was a Freeplay option. They really need a good area for younger kids

A fun day of discovery for my 6 and 7 year olds. The bubble show was well worth the price of admission. Everyone in my family was impressed. You can expect to spend about a 1/2 day here. Skip the food though... They are trying to do "healthy alternative" meals. I generally eat anything but this stuff was worse than cardboard.

My family and I have the 2 year membership. I love being able to go whenever we want. It's great because with the membership we only pay half price for all the different events they have, like the Bubblefest for example.
