Large and creative space for children with many hands-on exhibits. My children love the grocery store shopping game where kids learn how to read nutritional labels, scan items, and put them in a cart. Can get a little hectic when crowded but that's to be expected for any good family venue in OC.

Based on what my 10-year old daughter says, this is the best place to go. She loves it! Adults all play with everything as well. When there are too many kids there, like in summer you don't want to be there.... unless you really like watching other people not take care of their children and watching kids push through other kids to get in front of everyone else. They have a dinosaur exhibit outside that allows kids and adults to do different "hunts" for dinosaur parts, there is interactive hockey, space exhibits, and lots more. Just wear comfortable shoes because you will be walking and standing the ENTIRE time! If you go in the summer wear a protective bubble and ear plugs or all that pent up anger you store is going to come out on some lazy parent and you'll realize Discovery Cube is not the place for you when you're hanging that parent over the rails and giving them a swirly in the man made geyser! Good luck!!!!

Save yourself time, money, and agony. This time of year they squeeze 40 lbs of kids in a 20 lbs sack. The center overbooked 3 field trips from 3 different schools and this is commonplace according to staff. We arrived with our 2 and 5yrs old and they were trampelled on 2 occassions, 15 minute lines were routinely cut but unsupervised and unruly kids much older. At one point we attempted to teach our 5yrs old the difference in weight counterbalance with the chair pulley. The staff member made us get back in line after the first chair and simply snorted, "There are just too many kids for her to do all 3...." I would have asked for our money back but the staff was too rude to have any hope and the scheduling of so many kids an indicator of poor management. I would hope management would have more incentive to supervise lines for the stations, address the poor scheduling of charter schools, and warn customers in advance of overcrowded conditions. I think it is a great benefit to kids to learn but there was very little learning going on while we were trying to visit - it was a huge unsupervised playground. Worse, our ability to teach our children and experience the various stations were interrupted and was so loud we couldnt even communicate. Awful, worst ever, museum experience....

My grandkids had so much fun here. There are so many things the kids can see and do. Like from flying planes to rock climbing. They loved the market place. They had so much fun doing their own shopping and getting everything on the list they had. Definitely will be taking them back.

Wonderful place for kids and adults alike to learn and explore about science, the earth, technology, physics and more. The membership is worth it if you plan to visit more than once a year, which I recommend you do.

They need air-conditioning! Some of the exhibits don't work. Non-hygenic gloves used by the public on one of the exhibits. No hand sanitizer anywhere. The price seems a bit high for what it is. And there is not enough parking!!

Other than that, the kids will have fun.

It was a bit of a disappointment for our family coming from the Los Angeles Discovery Cube visits in the past. It seems that there are less attractions that have you watch a video and learn something. And the rainforest attraction just seemed boring to the kids. I wish there were more fun things like attractions with videos at this one.

This place was empty when we went there. It's a lot nicer than the one in Los Angeles, but it has most of the same stuff. I recommend it as a place to take kids 10 and younger probably, and it only takes a couple hours to see everything.

Great fun to take a kid to I would say anywhere between the ages of three all the way up to 10 or 11 would be ideal. So much fun stuff to do if you have a dinosaur fanatic or a kid who loves nature this is the place to go. My boy was in a murdered of the rocket inside the cube and we spend a great deal of time there if you are in the OC this is a great place to go and spend some time. The way I worked it was Discovery Cube first and then an Angel game second for watching the game and having dinner.

The place is fine. I've been seeing this place everytime I pass by in the freeway. So after a week off from school I decided to go back to the cube. It's been years since the last time I went (since elementary school). After going I felt sad as some of the things I saw when I was younger is still there nothing has changed since then (I'm in college now). I would like to see things improve, other than that it's a pretty good place for kids.

Great scientific experience and exposure for kids. Many complex scientific experiments are displayed in a simple way. I loved the actual rocket engine and cone displayed in the cube. My daughter loved the huge dinosaur model. Many things to see, feel and learn. Must visit if you have kids.

Very interesting and fun. A pleasant visit to do as a family. Some activities were out of service and others little explained. But the ones that worked were very interesting, educational and entertaining. Children have fun and learn. It is a short half-day trip, great to do between activities or as a rest after a morning of shopping.

Nice and fun!

Nice and fun!
But if you go on school tour, you might not have enough time to go around the complete center, very short visit and crouded, since many school visit at once!

We had four generations of family members from 1 years old to over 70 and everyone had a good time. A bit pricey but not compared to Disneyland. The food in the cafe was very healthy and creative.

Worked on building the Cube, in pieces in Lake Forest, left for Texas when it was moved and being put together in SantaAna, never really had the chance to get there once it was completed, saw it only in pictures and on TV. Would like to get there someday.

I went with around 20 kids and 4 chaperones, they had a guide ready for us who stayed with us the whole time! It's great to see how interactive the attractions are, it makes for a great experience for the kids.
