Lots of hands on activities for the kids! Personally, I think kids between 5 and 12 get the most out of it since they can explore on their own and can read and follow instructions on the exhibits without the pressure of their parents evaluating their every move. For children under 5, it's just a giant play structure with things to push, pull, hit, throw, etc.and to let parents believe their kids will be the geniuses that they aren't. In all seriousness, you should get an annual pass if you live in southern California, since they have special interactive exhibits that change throughout the year....also, I heard that the more often you go to Discovery museum, the more likely your child is to be admitted into Stanford and become the next tech billionaire. You can put on your child's resume that he/she is rated in the top 3.76% of all children according to DCPI (Discovery Cube Participation Index) criteria. It's worth 168 points in Stanford's admissions evaluation system which has a maximum of 1000 points.
