I had contacted Dick Scott s used car division a couple of weeks ago in reference to a 2013 Charger R/T that had been on their website for almost three months. I was advised there is NO flexibility in the listed price. I contacted them again and spoke to Matt Gilbo who advised he could reduce the price by $100. He further stated there is a $234 documentation fee, $15 temporary plate fee and they would also collect 6% for the New York sales tax. I advised him that before I drive out to check the car out I would like him to carefully check the car out and let me know of any imperfections (dents, dings, scratched or ware). He stated he would check the car and call back. A couple of hours went by with no call so I reached out to him and he said the car had a couple of stone chips on the bumper and is otherwise in perfect condition. I advised Mr. Gilbo I would be there on Monday 8-24-15 at 9:15 AM. Mr. Gilbo stated he would have the car detailed and left inside for my wife and me to check out. The reason we were willing to travel for the car was we are replacing a loaded 2007 Charger R/T Road & Track and the vehicle at Dick Scott was the closest match we could find within 800 miles.

BEWARE OF THIS DEALERSHIP AND THE SHADEY SALESPOEPLE. SAVE YOURSELF TIME AND FIND ANOTHER DEALERSHIP.

Kind of a crappy place to deal with. Hard to get a phone call returned about anything. Only thing they are concerned with is getting your money. If you are not spending it right then they have no use for you. Repairs take days longer then quoted. Go somewhere else like Monroe Dodge in Monroe Michigan

Best car buying experience in the twenty years tha...

Best car buying experience in the twenty years that I've been buying new cars. Eric Roundy and Joe Rossi exceeded all possible expectations. After an email to the dealership went without a response, Eric jumped in and handled my account personally (I'd hate to be the salesperson who forgot to call me back, he lost a sale that took about two hours total to complete). Eric got me a great deal on my trade in, and assigned Joe Rossi to finish up the job picking out the perfect vehicle. To top it off, I realized that I was going to be late to my son's baseball game, so Joe personally delivered the car to my home and picked up the trade in the next day, a Saturday morning! This is the kind of service that I wasn't sure existed in auto sales any more. I am glad to be wrong. My family, extended family, and my entire social media network will hear about how Eric and Joe turned what was almost a negative experience into the best car buying experience I'd ever had.

Oh, and by the way, I love the truck. :)

Purchased a grand caravan at this location and too...

Purchased a grand caravan at this location and took it for a family vacation down to Florida. While down, and less than 30 days after we bought it, the vehicle would not start. Finally after an hour I got running again, we called up the dealership and they said no problem just bring it in when we get back. While at the dealership, we were treated awefull, as if we were bothering everyone there. No one wanted to help us. Finally after getting it looked at they said it would be over $1000,00 to repair and that it would not be covered under warranty Even though we purchased the extra bumper to bumper warranty. I had to threaten legal action and calling the media to get the problem resolved. All I wanted is what I'm paying for, which is a van in good mechanical condition so I can bus my fiance and 4 kids around. I should also note that we were treated like garbage here even after informing them my dad has been working for Chrysler for over 18 years and also that I was in the market for a jeep wrangler Rubicon. Needless to say, I am taking my business elsewhere and filing a complaint with the Chrysler customer care line.

Called because I wanted to make an appointment to turn in my Chrysler lease. I was transferred to the lease return manager I think his name is Larry. I told him I wanted to make an appointment to turn in my lease he asked if I purchased the van at that dealership, I said no and he said I need to take it to the dealership I purchased from. I told him the dealership I purchased from is over 100 miles from my house and he said sarcastically well my lots full... I said what am I supposed to do he said I can call around have a nice day and hung up! So rude! I called another dealership in the area and they said no problem bring the car in. I ll bring my business there too when I re-lease

I was very disappointed in my service experience at Dick Scott. They had my lease car for a week, put almost 200 miles on it and within me having it back for less than 48 hours, the engine light came back on! The day I dropped it off the car was flashed and it was a thermostat issue. That s not what they replaced until I took it back a second time.
It s very upsetting when you have to watch your miles closely and all they gave me as an excuse was we have to test drive the car . Really? Seems to me like my car was used for someone s transportation and not a test drive.

Seeing excellent customer service in the dealership shows that the Dick Scott sales team is committed to providing great pride in the product they are selling! Rob Merritt went above and beyond to understand my needs and wants in my new vehicle. I believe that Rob provides a pressure free experience that gives me comfort knowing im going to be happy in the unit i am purchasing. I would recommend Rob to all of my friends and family. He's a great guy and an even better salesman!

thanks again,

I buy almost everything I can online, I like my purchases to be quick and effortless. I expected buying a new car to be a long drawn out experience and it was exactly the opposite. In under an hour everything was agreed upon and they let me take the vehicle home for the weekend while they worked on the paperwork and financing. As a word of advice make sure to let them know if you can't make it back on time... especially if it's past two days. The sales manager Eric was personable, friendly and genuine and exceeded my expectations. The overall price and payment arrangement on my new Jeep was made to fit my budget. The finance manager Justin was thorough and to pont. My salesman Jack was no pressure and honest. Overall it was a great experience and if I decide to buy a Jeep, Chrysler or Dodge in the future I will buy with Dick Scott in Plymouth.

No one greeted us. The staff were watching tv. The New guy said he would test the remote and it would take half an hour but he returned in less than 5min. And after going to a different dealership, got excellent service. If I could, I'd give them a negative star!

Scheduled an appointment with the service department to have the electronic issue in my Dodge Nitro looked at. Lady over the phone took extensive notes in detail before my appointment, but after getting there I was told, "We only work on electric issues in Chrysler products" and the service manager saying, and I quote "It is not worth the hassle". Well, thank you for wasting my time.

Unprofessional. Stay away from this place. I was interested in purchasing a used vehicle and was told that I needed to make an appointment, which I did. I informed the associate on the phone that I was roughly an hour away and to please confirm the car was still for sale. The associate confirmed that in fact it was still for sale and that I would receive a call if that changed.
I arrived to the dealership and was immediately met with a salesman who told me that the car was sold earlier in the day and suggested other cars. I asked why I did not receive a call, to which he said it's not part of their core business...that they don't always know when cars get sold or not, etc. In this detail age, this dealership is so digitally inept that they can not document and communicate whether a vehicle was sold or not?

It's a tactic for them to get you to their lot and try to persuade you into buying another car...after leaving I got another call from their 'remote sales team' asking if I would like to buy said car that the dealer in person said was already sold.

You can still go to their website, see the vehicle, call and the phone rep will tell you it is still on their lot...'make an appointment to see it!"

I spoke with the manager who could careless as he knows it is part of their practices.

So let's see what copy and paste response they provide to this review....

*****Even their reply is incorrect. I spoke to the dealership by PHONE. I received yet another call as late as 7.30pm, hours after going in person, STILL to see if I would like to see the car. Poor system. AGAIN in the digital age, it's no more than a click or swipe to mark a vehicle as sold. Your dealership leaves them posted on purpose to lure people to the lot. This is why used car salespeople have a negative and shady stereotype.

My wife and I have been looking for a newer Durang...

My wife and I have been looking for a newer Durango. Our old one was getting up there in mileage but was still in good condition. So the decision to look for a newer Durango was a want, not a need. Unfortunately we needed one that had the Hemi and tow package, which are hard to come by. My wife had contacted Bob Borbowski about a really nice 2017 that had all the features we wanted. We made an appointment on a Saturday around noon. Bob was great to work with. No high pressure sales tactics, showed us the vehicle and then let us take it for a test drive. When we got back from the test drive the sales manager Brian came out and introduced himself. He asked us what we thought, and we told him we liked it. Of course because we were trading in the old one, Brian had to test drive our car to determine a trade in value. Brian then worked up all the numbers. This is the part I typically dread because dealerships always low ball you on the trade in. Brian came back with the numbers and I was amazed that he didn't low ball us on the trade in value. It wasn't what we owed, but I knew we weren't going to get that number because I had done my homework. But I appreciated the fact that Brian gave us his best numbers up front. None of the stupid games were the sales guy low balls you, and then says he has to check with his manager, and then you play the negotiationn game for an hour. Because Brian was up front with us and didn't play games, it made it a no brainer for us.

My wife and I went in thinking we were just going to look at this Durango and then have to drive back Monday to finalize the deal. Mind you we live 1 hour and 15 minutes away. Much to our amazement we left the dealership with a new car. And to top it all off, because they close at 3 on Saturdays, Brian, Bob and Justin had to stay after closing time to get everything wraped up for us. I know they want to make a sale, but they could have easily asked if we could comee back Monday.

So I highly recommend this dealership as we had a great experience without all the high pressure sales tactics and all the negotiation games. It made buying a car from Bob and Brian very enjoyable and I would purchase a vehicle from them again in a heart beat.

Thanks again Bob and Brian.

My father had called asking for a particular car t...

My father had called asking for a particular car that there was an advertisement for online. A women had picked up and said they still had the car. A couple of minutes later a sales rep had called him saying that the car was on the lot if we wanted to come and check it out. Walking into the building a sales rep stopped us and said that the car was just sold a couple days ago. Even though the advertisement is still online and that the sales rep and the women had previously just said 20 minutes ago that the car was there. For 2 hours we walked around the lot and found a really nice car in my price range. Which I had decided to buy, I put a down payment down and they said I could come pick up the car the next day all they had to do was switch the title and registration. Coming back in the day later I payed for the rest of the car and was driven to another location to get the title and registration. Sitting down for half an hour until the sales rep working with us told us that there had been a mistake and that they don t even have the title for the car I HAD JUST BOUGHT. Which for another hour talking to the sales rep he kept saying how it wasn t his fault. Trying to be nice he was trying to show us the lot again. Even though I had seen all the cars there already the past day for 2 hours. Somehow I had just bought a car and I couldn t even take it home for about 2 or 3 or 4 weeks. So I had asked for my money back but he couldn t give it to me for some reason. I ended up getting all my cash back but not my debit payment until the next day. So no I would not recommend coming here because this whole entire title situation had happened to my dad 6 months prior but they still gave him the car but for 4 weeks he had to drive with a dealer plate. Which they would not do for me or even give me a loaner. Also we got yelled at from the sales rep this whole entire time.

Update: they had called me back and said that they will give me a loaner a day after everything so that I will buy the car. We had to switch plans and leave work early to go sign the paperwork. When we had gotten there they had told me that they will not receive the title for a month. Also they will not give me a loaner car anymore. So this place sucks and is a waste of everyones time and I still have not received my money back!

After visiting multiple dealerships we finally settled with Dick Scott to get my mother a car. We were lucky enough to get David Starzyk who went above and beyond making sure everything went smooth. The gentleman was very patient despite us changing colors and such he was beyond great honestly. If you are thinking about about visiting Dick Scott then no doubt ask for David as this gentleman will truly take care of you.

So I took my Wrangler in 4 weeks ago and advised them that the differentials were shot. Not sure why (I mean what would a girl know) but they looked at everything but the differentials. A week later, they finally split the case and behold, there were metal pieces and parts were ordered. I STILL have not gotten my Jeep back and their attitude is "but we gave you a loaner?" Tell me, how would you feel paying a Wrangler installment to drive a Compass???? Sure, I'll take the compass off roading...not sure what'll be left of it???

The fact that it is taking a ridiculous amount of time to fix, yet when phoning at 3pm, the guy working on it has left for the day is infuriating! I want my Jeep back as in yesterday and I sincerely hope it is fixed properly - I never want to step foot in Dick Scott again.

Tried calling the service manager multiple times, left messages and am yet to receive feedback.

I think we all appreciate low pressure sales people. Unfortunately I think this dealership is so low pressure that they don t actually want to sell cars. I have now contacted the dealership 3 separate times over the last 4 days about a vehicle they have listed for sale and have yet to get a response from anybody.

If you want to window shop, this is a great dealership for you! If you want to BUY a car and get great service, I d strongly encourage you to look elsewhere! Very frustrating experience trying to work with this dealership.

I ve been looking for this car for quite some time now, and given it s rarity, it s usually overpriced. The one I found at Dick Scott was underpriced and in pristine condition! I m from out of state and the salesman I worked with (Domenic Tucci) was very friendly and exceptionally responsive to our numerous calls back and forth. Domenic made sure to answer all my questions and provided me with all documents through overnight shipping, and even included a paid return envelope to send all signed papers back. This really was an extremely efficient transaction and an overall great buying experience. I will definitely consider this dealership for my next car purchase. Thanks Domenic!

Three strikes they are out....

The first unpleasant experience we had a service representative named Harley. He talked down to me and made me feel we had to do everything he was saying. The communication was horrible.

The second time we went to lease our Jeep renegade. I called and made an appointment with the head sales person. When we got there we were introduced to another sales person which was fine but it was his lunch time and I think we were very inconvenient for him. After waiting 11/2hours( my brother in law had already given us his Chrysler discount so we had to use Dick Scott Dodge. All together it took us four hours to get our Jeep.

This last time I called the previous week to get in our Jeep Liberty. They said the first appointment was the following Monday at 7:15 in the morning. All we needed was a five minute reboot of our GPS. I called at 9:30,10:30,11:30, and someone called me back finally around 12:45. The Jeep was even takin to be looked at. So I asked them to just forget it. Then the person said it would be another hour to get the Jeep back. Why an hour you didn t even look at it? Because paper work. After being demanding the service rep. Was able to get the Jeep ready for pick up at 1:30. I won t go back.

Overall is was a fairly painless and mostly positive experience in buying a new car from Dick Scott. I worked with Antwone Bedford who was very laid back. I would only mention a few issues that I had: they forgot to install my vacuum and compressor and they accidentally sold me wheel locks twice. They did take care of both of these issues promptly. I did not feel overly pressured by the finance office to purchase extra coverage but they did not clearly explain a 24$ optional charge. They applied many incentives, but on a post tax basis. They showed my a dealer generated invoice but not the manufacturer invoice. I never asked for in but in hindsight I wish I had. The Friends and Family pricing was a little confusing since it was done at the very end and not built into the paperwork. It seemed a little shady that I was asked to sign and initial blank documents for that part of the pricing. Overall a positive experience that led to owning a beautiful car but I would pay more attention to the things I mentioned if I had to do it over again.

Sales department was great.

Sales department was great.

Customer service: I had an appointment to drop off my new lease to have the drivers side window seal replaced, as it was not right at pick up, and a detail.

No one knew anything about the appointment I had scheduled.

When I picked up the car 7 business days later my license plate had been removed and could not be found anywhere-Another 2 days in the shop to wait for a plate and tag replacement.

Also noted that personal items were removed from my rear view mirror and service desk manager could not tell me where these items are.

These were gifts from kids and grandkids.

Personal items in arm rest were not removed so very curious as to why my things were removed from the rear view mirror.

Worst experience ever. Took my car to get a cup holder fixed, the "professionals" from this service broke my whole center console. Needed to wait for them to order the new part, nobody called to let me know that the part arrived, like is my job to call everyday to gind out. Once they indtalled the new center console, they figured it out that they forgot to order the net on the side, so had to order that part now and inconenience me again to take from my time and take it there tbe 3rd or 4th time when everything could be fixed the first time. Worst experience ever! the manager did not care at all which makes it even worst because who knows about others experience. I would NEVER recommend this location!

I had my lease vehicle serviced there and when I dropped it off, they told me they wouldn t be able to get to it for a while. After waiting a week, I got fed up and bugged the service rep to at least look at it, because I knew it was some intermittent electrical problem. They looked at it after a week of waiting, then I got a call saying they replaced the transmission module and gave NO EXPLANATION as to WHY this happened. Then when I asked to speak to the technician, the service rep said he WOULDN T LET ME. Like he couldn t get on the phone for 5 minutes to explain why my brand new car somehow had an issue. Worst part is, after waiting another week for them to finish up, I got my car back and the NEXT DAY. It had the same problem again. Something tells me these guys have ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA what their doing and DON T even care at all. Terrible experience. DO NOT go to these guys.

This was my first time buying a car and we live an hour away but Bob was able to make it as easy as possible for us. We went there to test drive the jeep (loved it, obviously). We noticed the coolant was low and there was a missing push tab holding the wheel well tire flap to the jeep so i asked to get both things fixed, no fuss or charge at all and when we went back to buy it, both were fixed. When it came to all the paperwork, Dom had a new virtual pad that you sign onto which made signing SO much easier than it could have been. Can't think of anything bad to say!

I went to Dick Scott Motor Mall in Fowlerville, MI...

I went to Dick Scott Motor Mall in Fowlerville, MI on August 8, 2015 with my son to purchase his first car as he had just turned 16. We agreed a price with the sales guy (Joe Murphy), and planned to return in 90 minutes with the money while they prepared the car for us. We returned and completed the paperwork with the finance guy (who was great - Jeff Lopez), he turned us back to the sales guy who gave us the keys and the license plate. We were about to go put the plate on the car together and drive away. While waiting for the porter to bring the car up they inform me that a mistake was made and they can't sell me the car. The sales guy looked up the wrong car in the system when he priced it and they were selling it to me for a $4000 discount. I was holding the bill of sale, title application, license plate and keys. I KIND OF thought I owned a car at that point. They got the sales manager (Don Harley) involved and bullied me into thinking I had no other option but to return the paperwork and they would return my money. After this there was ZERO follow up by any Dick Scott staff. I tried to contact the general manager (Jud Scott) but he would not return my email or calls. After several emails and calls I did get him on the phone briefly and he was not at all sympathetic to the horrific purchase experience my 16yr old son and I experienced. He claimed that I should have known what the real price of the car was and should have realized that the price quoted wasn't right. He made it into my fault. By the time I talked to Jud Scott I had purchased another car and my main motive was to let him know how his people treated a customer. I now see why they treated me this way, they are taught this from the senior leadership.

I wouldn't go there for free warranty work. These guys are self centered and don't have a customer centric bone in their body. Avoid at all cost.

My only regret is that I can't give them 0 stars. Seriously can't not recommend this place enough. They took a month to not fix my vehicle, provided little in the way of updates, and played guess and check replacing parts to not solve the problem I was having. My vehicle is still under warranty, but I'd rather pay out of pocket and have some one that knows what they're doing try and solve the problem next time.

This is the second lease that I ve had through Dick Scott and Antwone Bedford. They have been nothing short of wonderful to work with. This time, within 10 minutes of speaking with Antwone, he had a vehicle option for me that saved me nearly $50/month. This was exactly what I wanted. He didn t try to up sell me or pressure me into something with a higher payment.
I typically like to shop around to try and find the best deal. I don t think I need to do that any longer now that I ve found Dick Scott and Antwone Bedford. I highly recommend them to anyone that is looking to lease or buy a new vehicle.

Found the car I've been wanting for years. Darren was fantastic at answering questions and helping with the process. My one disappointment was that the car, which I assumed was safety checked and repaired, had a driving light bulb out and I had to replace the rotors almost immediately. Granted I probably should have driven the car harder on the test drive and walked around a bit more, but I just assumed these were issues done during reconditioning and safety checking. Also, I didn't get the traditional full tank of gas. So overall, great sales staff, but I was disappointed in a few details I assumed would be taken care of under the umbrella of "reconditioned and safety inspected."

Less than 2 weeks ago I was having an issue with my windshield wipers not working. So I took to it Dick Scott for service. I left my car for two days and they found this issue. The part was $1300 and the labor was an additional $438. Because my car is 2011 I didn't find it worth to spend that much on a TIPM otherwise known as the FUSE BOX. I did my own research and found the part for $125 and had my Master Certified Mechanic do the labor. I went to retrieve my vehicle but because I was driving a rental (at my expense) they charged me the diagnosis fee, had their porter pull my car out and park it, he handed me my keys and I indicated that I'd be back later that night to pick it up. I picked it up at 10:45pm to hear this rattling, clanking noise. Lo and behold, my WIPERS and SCREWS to hold them in are on the passenger side floor!!!!! I called the dealership back to indicate my issue. Not only was THEE Service Manager Chris supervising the entire transaction of my vehicle pickup, the porter did find it necessary to say that the wipers were not back on the car as they should have been especially because I dropped my car off with them on! Later that day around 4pm my service advisor called to apologize for the mishap with the wipers not being put back on the vehicle. About an hour later (5:37PM) he calls to ask me if I'm driving the vehicle. I responded I was and was in fact a few minutes from the dealer to request my money back for the diagnosis. He tells me to "PULL OVER IMMEDIATELY THE VEHICLE IS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE. Call a tow truck and have them tow it to the dealer because they "FORGOT TO PUT THE LUG NUTS AND SCREWS BACK ON MY STRUTS AND SUSPENSION."!!!! I asked why did they even take them off when the TIPM is on the top of the car right underneath the hood. He replied to get to the TIPM. I still wasn't clear and was furious nonetheless. (Only 1 was placed on each side not the 3 intended) Ironically, I just talked to my mechanic and asked him if he thought I needed rotors and/or brakes because when I brake, my steering wheel was shaking. This took place about 10 minutes before service called about my suspension.
Not only that but why did it take nearly 24 hours for them to realize a vehicle had been released to a customer without it being reassembled properly. If the porter would have said something about the wipers being on the floor and not on the windshield that maybe would have led to the proper inspection before I paid and signed for my car. Lets not forget the whole release of my vehicle was supervised and orchestrated by Chris the Service Manager himself. But maybe because he indicated to me that they were leaving at 6pm and it was about 5:45 he wanted to just get my business done and over with since I was their last customer. Mind you, the garage doors had already been closed when I first arrived to give them impression they were closed so they could leave on time. Of course the General Manager, Jason Scott ,was out of town during all of this and didn't return until Monday. It was Thursday when all this happened. First thing Monday morning I came to speak with Jason and indicated, after I shared the details of what happened, that he wanted to get everyone involved together to further understand what happened and how the break down of protocol was not followed when I picked up my car. I then received a call from Chris the service manager saying he totally took fault for what happened and asked what could he do to fix it. I told him you need to propose something and I decide whether to accept or decline. He insisted I tell him what I wanted so I said I wanted my brakes, rotors and tires changed not only for the EXCESSIVE inconveniences I endured but because I drove the car for almost a whole day with my suspension compromised that is the least they could do as a preventative measure to any further damage or repairs because of it. He felt my request was unreasonable however had no other solutions or accommodations

Jerry Walter helped me find the perfect car for my budget and made the process so smooth and easy! You can tell that he is a very honest man and isn t there to just make the sale, which is hard to come by these days. My husband and I will return in the future for anymore car needs and I ll definitely direct any friends to this dealership, specifically Jerry.

I needed an oil change, rotate tires and a new battery. Had a 9:00am apt and showed up on time and left the vehicle. It took over six hours for the work to be completed. I don't understand my commitment to this dealership!

The reason I rated Dick Scott Jeep so high is because of Dave Hamel. I am a returning customer to Dave and when I came in to the dealership he knew who I was, what my preferences are and immediatley started working on finding me the vehicle I wanted. Dave also secured me a fair price for my trade in.

I highly recommend Dave Hamel at Dick Scott Jeep!

Holly and Jason were great every step of the way. This was one of the most painless and definitely the shortest amount of time I had to spend dealing with the sales process. Would definitely recommend them to my friends and family!

Brought my truck in for repairs here several times...

Brought my truck in for repairs here several times - 2 or 3 of those times it was because the truck struggles to start, but never has it been fixed. A week ago I brought it in for a leak in the back window. I made an appointment 4 days in advance, brought the truck in at 9am, left it at service for the entire day. Never got a call back from them. I even called and the service receptionist told me she'd have someone call, but nobody called. So I showed up at 5:30pm, 30 minutes before they are about to close, and my service writer tells me they didn't fix my vehicle, that they need to order a part for it. I got upset because I dropped the truck off for the appointment 9 hours earlier, and they just now at 5:30pm tell me that they don't have the part? Why not call me sooner? His answer was "we have 160 vehicles in repair, your appointment is just to get the car looked at and make sure there is a problem, THEN we can make an appointment to fix it." So remember folks, your service appointment here, despite the fact that you might have to take off work to do it, is simply to get you another appointment for when the work can be done.
