Diamondhead Beach Resort and Spa Reviews

I have stayed here several times. Disappointed this time in the lodging. If the furniture in the room was the same as in the lobby it would definitely have a different feeling. The impression of the furniture in the rooms equals a cheap hotel not a resort. My thoughts.

My husband, son and I concluded our week long vacation for one night on the 10th fl. at the Diamond Head Beach Resort and Spa at 2000 Estero Blvd, Fort Myers Beach, FL 33931 for my birthday and our anniversary. We travel quite often both domestically and internationally and the location of this beachfront hotel and its proximity from the airport was fair; less than 30 minutes away. For this stay, my husband booked through a third-party site. We had a Gulf view which we considered above average due to being able to clearly see not only the ocean, but the city as well. Plus, from our floor right outside our room, was also a view of the lagoon as well. There was an extra-large balcony that held two comfy chairs, two loungers along with tables with two full size sliding patio doors; one leading to and from the master bed room and the other via the main living area along with the kitchen and bath being great spaces also. They were above average in size. The color scheme was relaxing and they had everything needed to make any guests stay enjoyable. Now, although we felt special, we really had no need to, because we were advised that ALL hotels rooms at this hotel have some sort of great view that includes the ocean. The customer service was good from the bar/restaurant waitress, check-in-staff and even the bell hop. There is a nice restaurant and a family- friendly bar like dining area in which the food was really tasty and not too expensive. We were NOT advised or forewarned of construction, but we did hear from another guest and staff of construction taking place during our visit. FORTUNATELY, we did NOT encounter any noise disturbances or unsightly viewings that would indicate construction at all. As for the rooms They appeared extraordinarily clean and comfortable. The Sofa bed was in a perfect location in room not to cause any blockage or safety issues of any sort. The King bed had many pillows and was very comfortable. As for outdoors the pool was a good size and the water was warm and uncrowded and the hot tub was visibly nice. Parking was adequate, but we did come out the next morning to some type of liquid substance appearing to be poured on our windshield, but thought it may have been by someone who had one too many drinks. Anyhow, the beach was literally steps off of the hotels ocean facing side and just as importantly, the location was great! Just a (couple minutes) walk away from the boardwalk, tons of shops, eateries and entertainment. Overall, I'd say the hotel is in need of little to no repairs/improvement. Any improvements made would seemingly be for very small and/or cosmetic updates again, if any. This hotel not only met our expectation, but superseded it. I would HIGHLY recommend this hotel at this time and would definitely plan another visit.

A fun place to meet up with family for the Thanks Giving holiday.

Cute condo hotel just off the beach. Pool is great. Food at the restaurant was good. Right on thr trolley line. Walking diatance to restaurants, bars, and ice cream. Bikes are included.full-size fridge and kitchen appointments included. Fantastic patio.

The onsite restaurant food was excellent. The beach view rooms are nice, and staff are cheerful. Our friends said they will return here.

I visited the property with my two young children. I was so surprised at how kid friendly the resort was. There were families everywhere. We visited after the 4th of July. The room was fantastic and the views were magical. We stayed in an ocean front room. The kids activities were adorable. The beds were very comfortable and everything was very clean.

Although I love this place, was disappointed that you could not get room service after 8, sometimes it even ended earlier. I realize it's a slow time of year, but customers should still get good customer service

Beautiful rooms, but tile floors are so cold to walk on with the air conditioning that's either freezing or hot. Should have had rugs, was kept up at night because of stools or chairs constantly moving in room above on hard tile floors.

Absolutely fabulous place to stay on the beach. Very clean, friendly staff and everything you need in one place. The views from the suite is fabulous. You can site on your balcony and watch the sunrise and sunsets.

The bar at the Diamondhead is always a must on vacation. The spiney lobster is my favorite drink. A Pina colada with a rum float and banana liquor... Amazing!

I like the place alot. Beach, pool, food and bar service around the pool. They recently made improvements to the lobby turned out very nice. Making an effort now to put a new vibe on their old and tired restaurant. Appears they are trying to keep you there for dinner too. They say completed in the fall. Prices are reasonable. They will see us again next year as usual.

The employees really take their jobs seriously when you stay or visit, always asking what they can do for you and if they can get you anything! I feel like a princess here!!!!

Excellent food and service, The beach views made my dinner more enjoyable. The restaurant was just renovated and the decor is welcoming and fresh.

This was the first time we stayed here and it was amazing. We were in Ft Myers for a girls weekend and the location was great. The rooms had a great view and had alot of room in them. It was great that we could spend the morning on the beach and then head to the pool without traveling that far. We ate at both restaurants and the food and service was fantastic. The manager Bronson made a point to stop at out table and make sure everything came out okay. Him and all of the staff that we came into contact with were so nice and helpful. He also gave us a few recommendations on different places to see on the beach while we were visiting. Can't wait for our next trip back!

We had drinks at the bar... drinks were good, bartender was nice, great view of the sunset.

I will say that the hotel was very nice the room was clean the facility went through some remodeling in the restaurant and in the Cabana bar and was very nice. The problem was on the beach right in front of the hotel there were red and brown weeds all along the shore for miles and I'm talkin huge clumps of stinky bad weeds and it made it horrible if you wanted to be on the beach or even go in the water you couldn't even go in the water!!! It would have been nice if the hotel would have informed the guests! That this was the case but they made no reference to that whatsoever, not by email or even at checkin!!! The price that you pay per room per night is astronomical and to be subjected to those types of situations with the huge weed problem and the smell and not be informed or given a reduced price?? Also we pretty much had to stay at the pool and there were days where there was some funky smell by the pool where you could barely take it, we weren't sure if it was the weeds or the sewer issue but very unfortunate. Stay away!! Because of that I'm giving it two Stars

Very nice and clean resort. It's a bit pricey with the extra occupancy fee per night and other miscellaneous fees. Staff was very friendly. The only thing i would change is the length of the timeshare presentation. We were stuck for 3 hours and missed out on the little bit of sunshine we did have on that rainy day.

I really like it. The pool and the hot tubs are great, the view is amazing, and staff is very friendly.

Cabana's is a great part of Fort Myers' Beach to hang at for good food, great drinks and an awesome sunset!! I still like coming here, but rating went down due to portions changing, making prices higher.

FANTASTIC PLACE! My family and I spent 5 days here. Clean room, Great Staff lots of activities for the kids, two great restaurants! When we had to extend our stay one night because of a snowstorm back home they were very accommodating. We are already planning our return visit! I would highly recommend anyone headed to Ft Meyers beach check out the Diamond Head. You won't be disappointed

We had Thanksgiving out this year, with 2 other couples. Most of the spread was middle of the road, however, the carving stations were 4.5 stars. The small salons were nondescript and not very festive. The serving station was inside the salons, very busy and noisy. We were seated at a round table for eight, for some reason they wouldn't seat us at a table for six (even though we asked). Staff was excellent, very attentive.

Service and professional staff. Helpful and prompt response to clients needs. Fantastic location near supermarket, restaurants and the beautiful pier where lots of people gather to see the beautiful South Florida's West Cost Sunsets.

Loved it at Diamondhead! The food was great, drinks were great, and the location is great. Just a short beach walk down to Times Square. Saw dolphins swimming every single day. Didn t see a single grumpy person the whole time we were there. Can t wait to go back!

Nice place. We've been going there for years. Food quality has changed. I liked all the renovations especially what they done to the inside restaurant.

Great hotel in the heart of the action on Ft Myers Beach.

Our experience staying at the DiamondHead Beach Resort has been most pleasurable. From the professionalism of the staff to the cleanliness of the resort, was a true testimony that customer satisfaction is their #1 priority. Not having been to Fort Myers beach before I'm pleased to have chosen DiamondHead Resorts as our Silver Anniversary getaway. Thank You! - We look forward to returning with our family.

The food is excellent, and they just remodeled the whole interior. Excellent place to eat!

Just stopped there for lunch and drinks at Cabanas. The place is on the beach, so naturally it's got great views. Nothing spectacular for food, however. Food and drinks are expensive, even for the area. It's a hotel pool side hut. Expect nothing more. For what it is, nice little spot to chill.

Room and view ok. Only issue was others smoking on there balconies. We couldn't leave our gulf view slider open and that's what we paid for. Food and service at restaurants also just ok. We also went to pool at 4:30pm and there was no attendant and no towels. A waitress told us to go to the lobby and get towels which is ridiculous.

Great location. Rooms are a little tired but they are up upgrading now.

Rooms were clean, updated, on the beach, beautiful views, fridge, microwave, dishwasher in room, great restaurant and bar at the resort, waking distance from shopping and other restaurants and bar, we'll be back.

Location is perfect, not too far from great food and nightly entertainment.

The name says it all Diamond Head! Everything is good at Diamond Head Resort.
Beautiful views of the Gulf and a lovely pool and hot tub area.

As an update to my previous review. I received a call from a nice woman named Jamie later in the day. After seeing that the Tropical Storm is anticipated to touch down this weekend, DiamondHead has refunded us the cancellation fees. We will be re-booking this fall to give it another shot and staying here. We are looking forward to hopefully making it a yearly tradition!

Always a great place to stay. Friendly staff and clean rooms. Right in the beach.

We went to diamindhead to parasail. It was a greatcfamily experience and a day we will always remember and cherish.

I went to the bar. And the bar manager really knows how to make drinks.

Out all day enjoying the beach. As 415 pm we returned to our room. No one was to iut room to service it. We found it very odd that by 425 in the afternoon no one had come. Called the front desk they had to call me back. When they did the woman was very flippant would not let me get a word in edge wise. We were told well that's just how we do things here!! With a total attitude! You can look at all over my reviews mostly all positive... If I don't have anything good to say I don't north say anything unless it is really bad. Wow wow wow I will never subject myself to these people again just flat out and completely excuful and nasty.. Also the shower does not drain and the sink doesn't drain paint is pealing on the wall by the ac. Stay away! Sunstream properties used to be a good place to stay not sure what happened to them!

I will be sending a letter to Sunstream corporate offices. The woman who I won't mention here was so incredibly rude they need to know about this!

Only difference between this place and a Comfort Inn, is the beach view and a restaurant down stairs. Not impressed. You word think for 300 dollars a night..there would atleast be waters and snacks in the room.

Excellent stay! Construction was going on but didn't disturb us at all. I didn't give 5 stars due to having issues getting room service. I had to call over 7 times to get connected and once we finally did, we had the wrong menu in our room. So by the time we got our order in my kids were starving. Everything else was excellent though, and we will be back.

Treated horribly here will not recommend !! Will be suing for discrimination

I could go another 1/2 star. The hotel rooms are nicely laid out. Plenty of room and a serviceable kitchen with a great view. But there's a little wear and tear around the edges. The food at the beach restaurant was marginal at best, but their drinks were good and reasonably priced. I like Ft. Myer's Beach. It's unapologetically touristy and it feels like vacation. This hotel is right in the midst of all that and in close walking distance to plenty of drinking, shopping, drinking, swimming and all the water craziness you can find. Bottom line, it's a decent value, (off season).

Spectacular ,, very professional ,, both in the pool and on the terrace very fast and efficient service ,, the cleaning of the rooms and the floors were ..their workers very aware of their guests..That's I said Spectacular ..many friends want to visit after seeing my photos ..5 ..

The hotel is nice but the staff and service is excellent. They let us move our reservation to a sister hotel in Naples because of the red tide.

Okay, the food was quite expensive but the staff was nice. They sleep on the beds every day which is greatly appreciated and the hotel is quite central
