Was visiting a friend of mine who was vacationing with their family here (yearly thing they do). Only stayed the night but the room was cozy and well accommodated. Bathroom was beautiful, the couch-bed was actually comfortable, and it was very clean. Would definitely consider staying here myself sometime.

Very nice hotel. Great location right on the beach, great food in the restaurant and great breakfast. The corridors are very similar to a parking garage and are not very appealing. The essential places are very nice though. Unfortunately, the air conditioning in the gym did not work.

Sunsets over the Gulf are beautiful! At low tide we found hermit crabs galore at the water's edge along with tiny clams burrowing into the sand. Walk out about 30-50 yards and lots of sand dollars and 9-pointed star fish were everywhere! The sign to the beach said to shuffle your feet to avoid the sting rays but we didn't see any (in early May). The usual small clam shells were abundant. Parking is available but you have to pay for it. Shops are along the main street parallel to the shore. One downside was the low area of beach, like a small temporary lagoon, with somewhat smelly seaweed between the beach and the ocean at low tide but it was tolerable.

Great location-close to restaurants, shopping, and directly on the beach! Accommodating/friendly staff at the resort. Our room was slightly outdated/we didn't like the layout, but it had an awesome patio. Overall the resort was great and we'd definitely recommend staying here!

Staying here now and am not impressed at all. The rooms are okay but certainly nothing special. The furnishings are older and some are marked up. The pull-out couch is possibly the most uncomfortable thing I've ever slept in.
Room service is extremely disappointing. It is usually the thing we look forward to the most at any hotel we stay at. We love the feeling of laying back and being spoiled. Don't do it here! They have a very, very limited menu, more expensive than most other hotels we've stayed in and it was terrible. The amount of salt used made the food inedible. Tasted like salt was dumped on the food and don't get me started on the crab cake appetizer. One room service order was enough to teach us to not order again.
The room was clean but there are issues throughout the resort with upkeep. Overall, this place reminds me of a spring break spot to go not a lovely resort. The hallways are grey and concrete, just lovely huh!
We are here due to the hurricane threatening our home on the east coast and just found out our home is out of danger so we'll be checking out early. It's not a terrible place, just not what we thought it would be.

I went to Coste for happy hour, and couldn't be happier with my experience! The bartender, Arlene, was friendly and efficient and made me feel like the only customer in a busy bar! As someone with a special diet, I was blown away by the fact that she took the time to check with the kitchen whether the food was safe for me. The view of sunset was spectacular from the dining area, and the food and drink specials were very reasonable. I'll definitely be back to DiamondHead!

I have stayed here several times in past years and have always enjoyed the beautiful views, the beach, and how the staff is focused on making your visit special. Exceptionally clean, Dave is very helpful, and the food at the Cabana Bar is great. I'll be back!

Decent rooms with amazing views overlooking the gulf at this reasonably priced resort. Staff are great, warm and friendly. An ask for dinner recommendations didn't solicit any particularly inspired answers but otherwise a great spot to soak up some sun without roughing it.

It's about a 10 minute walk to 'times Square's where the majority of the bars and restaurants seem to congregate but there are loads of other options closer to home including a fine in restaurant and bar.

The views are incredible, the staff is friendly, and the hotel itself provides many of the things you need for a great beach vacation. There is no complimentary breakfast, but the rooms come with a mini-fridge and there is a market within walking distance.

This was my family's first time visiting Fort Meye...

This was my family's first time visiting Fort Meyers. We decided to stay in Fort Myers because it was cheaper than Sanibel Island. DiamonHead Beach Resort was an average resort. During the online process of booking the room, it was advertised as a "Gulf View". We were on the East side of the building in a corner room. When looking out through the sliding glass door from the master bedroom you see a wall. You must be standing at the sliding glass door to look out and see the gulf. Not as breath taking as the pictures suggested on the booking site.

A little more disappointed when actually booking and arriving was the disconnect between the resort and the site. It did NOT mention anything about extra fees being held during our stay nor did it mention about the extra fees incurred for the new wrists bands instead of normal cards. Great idea for the wrist bands, but it should divulge more information about fees and charges because it was hidden to us.

The beach was saddening to say the least. Due to overflow from Lake Okeechobee the water was murky, slimy, and felt like sludge on our feet. The was not told to us until we questioned a local on Sanibel Island as to what was happening. When checking out, we mentioned the murky waters and the front desk clerk looked at us and quietly apologized but seemed shocked that we had a complaint. We then retreated to the pool area. It does have 2 nice hot tubs which were frequented by younger children doing handstands and cannonballs. No adult supervision and the lack of hotel staff paying attention, we did ask the children to stop and they did. The pool and hot tubs were over chlorinated and upon further watching from the balcony, noticed some older gentleman swish around a jug and then just pour what he may have thought was the correct amount of chlorine into the filter system.

The highlight of the hotel is Cabana's restaurant downstairs. The drinks were a little strong, however the food was excellent and affordable. Also, the waitstaff was friendly.

All-in-all, as mentioned before, the resort is average and left after only 2 nights. We will not be back and should have just paid the extra money to stay on Sanibel Island.

We own a timeshare at Diamond Head and are so pleased with our experience every time we arrive! The entire facility is well taken care of with new improvements always on the horizon. The staff are friendly, welcoming and remember you from visit to visit. The rooms are comfortable. Although we are retired and don't bring children when we visit, Diamond Head is a family friendly resort.

Wow! Where do I even begin! This Diamond Head Resort is amazing. The suite we stayed in was very cozy and clean. Very quiet too! Housekeeping came at good times and made sure suite was restocked and cleaned every day of our stay. Everyone from the bellman to front desk to the cabana bar staff to maintenance was very polite and friendly and housekeeping too. The other guests were nice too! The food at Cabana is good and the style of the hallway is different but nice! I cannot wait to get back!

The rooms are spacious and very cleaned. The units that face the beach have stunning views. The location is super convenient with stores and restaurants all around and it's right at the beach. There is also a restaurant and bar at the restaurant with live music. Great place to vacation with the family.

Thank you for a very pleasant and relaxing stay! Thank you for the free upgrade to a beach front facing room. My wife and I stayed at the Diamondhead for 2 evenings and we had a great time! Walked right out to the beach on one side, to the strip on the other. The room was a modern suite style setup with more than enough room for 2 to 4, and a porch!

We came to Diamond Head for a day at the beach. Parking nearby was easy for us, even considering construction. The bathrooms were clean where we changed into our suits and we headed to the bar for drinks. The bartender was knowledgeable and patient while we decided what to order. There were so many choices, and all the drinks were tasty! We got an umbrella/chair combo rental and enjoyed our day at the beach!

We stayed on the fourth floor with the beach view. It looked out over the pool area and to the water. We got a free upgrade when we checked in. The staff were all great. Very friendly. The room was beautiful. We didn't like that we didn't have a freezer or an oven in the kitchenette.

The staff, food, and atmosphere here made for a great experience. We found ourselves coming back over and over due to the great and efficient staff. The view from the bar is beautiful as it look over the Gulf. Cool place with chair rentals, jet-ski rentals, and para-sailing rentals right out front.

Terrible experience. The tv wasn't working when we got there. The shower water didn't get that hot. We were in town for a wedding. Stayed the first night, and then the second day the hotel lost power. It wasn't there fault, lightening strike from a storm, but they didn't do a good job responding. At first the lights were dim and the a.c.didn't work. Then there was no power on our rooms. I wasn't told anything from the hotel staff. I had to go and ask and that's when they informed me they power would be out all night. It's like they didn't want to tell me because they knew I would check out. A candle, matches, and flashlight were dropped off in our room when we weren't in there. Not the best way to handle the situation!

Diamondhead Resort was fabulous! We travelled as a family of 4 and LOVED every amenity! We really liked the separate bedroom so the adults had their own space. We overlooked both the pool and the ocean and the screened in balcony was so nice! The pool and hot tub area was great! The bar/restaurant right between the pool and beach was a perfect place for a tasty cocktail and very good food. The location was nice, a good walk to the pier, the beach was long and wide, plenty of room for everyone! We will definitely return if in the area and would highly recommend!

I was very disappointed in our stay. There was construction and the indoor restaurant was closed. It was noisy. And when I asked to be comped for our inconveniences they refused. I was not told that there was Construction upon my reservation. I will never stay there again. I will say some of the staff was very kind, but somewhere very standoffish. It was clean, the beaches are nice, but I don't feel that they our customer service oriented.

I gave it two stars for the location.

I gave it two stars for the location.
The balcony was nice and so was the view. The hotel was pretty too.
The food was the problem.
We had lunch and it was terrible so we tried breakfast and it was just as bad. We had to have all our meals out. Which is an inconvenience especially for breakfast.
The bed and pillows were uncomfortable.
Other then that it was great.
