I spoke to sales representatives at several Honda Dealers within 100 miles, I requested quotes, I went to look at several vehicles in other dealerships, etc. Once I spoke to CHUNG LY @ DIAMOND HONDA I knew that I didn t have to travel far to get the best price, the best customer service without compromise. Chung Ly truly worked hard to get my business and his hard work was greatly appreciated. My shopping around stopped here. Finance woman (Sarah) sold me a 100,000 extended warranty. I was purchasing a used vehicle with 9,542 miles so I asked if the warranty goes to a total of 109,542 when signing. She said yes.
I got in an accident and the car was totaled so I had to cash out the extended warranty but now I was told the car only got covered UP to 100.000 miles. So I lost about $150 due to Sarah's false advertisement.
Also, I went back to purchase a 2016 Civic since mine was totaled. I was commuting from South Pasadena so it's quite a drive.
I called and asked if they had a 2016 Modern Steel Civic EX-L. They said yes. I went ready to buy with 15,000 cash in hand and they tell me they don't have the vehicle on the lot.
Overall, atrocious and deceiving dealership.

I purchased Honda CRV in September 2016, The engine fault code P0741 today, I have been to Diamond Honda for repair 5/23/2020, I checked the warranty plan: Powertrain Limited Warranty, Your powertrain is covered for 5 years or 60,000 miles, whichever comes first.
I am still under warranty.
But until now, I have not received any reply. It is no longer available for a car on the third day. What happens when I live in the US without a car? Dealer also does not provide any car rental service, this seems to have not happened. I could not contacted any one , I also leaving a message on their website. No one answered still. Nobody picked up the call. What kind of service is this?

Summary: I received great service from Diamond Honda's service department. Service advisor Frank went above and beyond my expectations.
The long story:
The last dealership that I had taken my 2005 Honda Accord to was Buena Park Honda. I had a miserable experience with them, feeling cheated and lied to. After that encounter with Buena Park Honda, I checked (and added to) the reviews online to find out that I was not the only one who felt that way. I will never work with Buena Park Honda service department again.
I needed 3 recalls taken care of, as well as an air conditioning problem assessed and fixed. I checked reviews for the next three closest dealerships, community Honda in Whittier, Hardin Honda in Anaheim, and Diamond Honda. While all three dealerships have their positive and negative reviews concerning the service department, it seemed as though diamond Honda had the least negative reviews and I decided to give them a call.
Frank was the ideal customer service person from start to finish. I warned him right from the start that I could be a difficult customer to deal with, but he took on the challenge to meet and exceed my expectations. I explained to him my previous experience with Buena Park Honda, he listened patiently. I explained that I had read the online reviews for diamond Honda service department and that I had some reservations about doing business with him. Frank informed me that he also stays up to date on the reviews, and told me about changes that have happened within the dealership over the last several months that have led to better customer service for all of the dealership's customers. By talking with me openly, he alleviated a lot of my concerns, and built within me the trust I needed to feel before I would do business with them. Our conversation told me that Frank was not the average employee that shows up everyday only for the paycheck, but rather a committed and dedicated part of Diamond Honda's Team. I felt right away that he is committed to giving each customer the absolute very best service and attention, knowing that doing so is not only in the best interest of the customer, but in the best interest of the organization as a whole.
Despite undoubtedly being very busy, he took the time to hear me out, alleviate my concerns, and build my trust. I set the appointment with him over the phone immediately, and dropped my car off after hours that night. The next day, the course of my work took me near the dealership, & I unexpectedly stopped in to say hi and see how my car was doing. Originally I was told that only two of the three recall that I needed to have fixed could be done, because parts were on backorder for the third. When I arrived at the dealership and met Frank face to face, he had great news to give me, he had pulled some strings and was able to get the missing part for the third recall. I was more than surprised and excited to find that all of the work would be completed in one visit and that I would not have to make a follow up visit after all.
Although I thought we had discussed everything when I stopped by, Frank called me twice more, once with a status update, and again to confirm that my car was complete and ready for pick up. I can never complain about thoroughness and follow through. Picking up my car later that day was simple, easy and fast. No lines, no mess, no fuss. All three recalls were fixed. Likewise, my air-conditioning problem was resolved for much less money than I had expected. This I attribute to the experience and knowledge of both Frank and his technicians, being able to find and fix what ended up being a really simple problem with the air conditioning.
In conclusion: my dealings with Diamond Honda's service department and with Service Advisor Frank left me feeling satisfied, grateful, and confident with them and the work they performed on my car. My 2005 Honda is getting old and this positive experience with Diamond Honda's service department has convinced me to also give their car buying experience a try as soon as I'm ready to do so.

There is terrible service advisor named Justin working over there. Don't think he is willing to place his customers first in his mind at all and provide at least great service is his most important function.
We got a brand new lease car from Diamond Honda on Saturday night around 8 pm. This brand new car was broken down when it reached out 138 miles mark and need to be towed at the Tuesday night. (Yes, we just have these about three days only). The Honda roadside assistant sent a tow truck company to tow it to Diamond Honda. The towing company delivered it to Diamond Honda service department in next Wednesday morning, since their service department was close at 7 pm.
Here is the story -
First surprise - The Diamond Honda service department was never calling us back to confirm they received our car from towing company in the Wednesday morning. >> I need to call towing company to confirm the service department got my car and find out who is the service advisor assigned to my case. (Their service department doesn t bother to communicate with us when they have our car in.)
Second surprise - Left a few messages to ask my service advisor Justin to call me back and him never call back. >> I cannot wait till late Wednesday afternoon and track him down to talk. (Service advisor doesn t reply messages or call customer back at all.)
Third surprise Justin allows himself with excuse and blames there is no appointment for this car towed in >> I was waiting almost whole Wednesday for the diagnostics results. His response is - I am quite busy here and your car has no appointment today. (That s how he allows himself has no time to take a look at my car) So, there is no status update yet. I am very disappointed for waiting whole day without any feedback for this three-days New car. (What a xxxx! Does anyone here ever predict when the NEW car will broke down and needed to be towed to dealer ahead? Dose this advisor Justin only know how to arrange regular services?) In order to take care my disappointment for no status for whole Wednesday, then he told me - I will take a look at your car first thing in tomorrow morning and give you a call. OK? (Well, what can I say!)
BIG surprise - Lying to call me back next day morning and actually taking next day off >> (Did he lie to me in Wednesday afternoon - I will check the car first thing in tomorrow morning and let you know. and actually taking dayoff?).
Last surprise Don t have any other advisor assigned to call me back when he is off on Thursday >> Wait almost whole Thursday till 4:50 pm without any call back from Justin or service department at all. Then, I called their service department in Thursday afternoon at 4:55 pm to see if there is any status update. Nope. The service department clerk was telling me Justin is taking day off today and your car has no diagnostics status or update yet in the system. According to the service clerk, this car is under his supervision and no one in the service department will update the status until he is back on Friday at 7 am. (Why there is no one assigned to taking care customer if Justin never asks anyone to taking care his cases when he is off?)
Be aware #1 No courtesy car wash. We just found out this Diamond Honda is a cheap private owned dealer. There is no car wash at all in their dealership service location. They are not offering any free car wash coupon to nearby car wash locations either. No courtesy car wash period.
Be aware #2 - Only FIVE (5) miles radius free shuttle. This cheap private owned dealership is only offering free shuttle service within 5 miles radius. Justin rejected my 8.7 miles shuttle service request. (Yes, FIVE (5) miles only when the most of dealerships are offering 10 miles radius.)
Suggestion - Let's go somewhere else.

The manager tried to tell me that the at-cost price for window tints is $290. Tint shops will charge around $160 and most dealerships mark it up 20%. Don't lie to me.
After tacking on all of these dealer installed accessories, price went up $1000 over what I asked for.
I was a 20+ car a month Honda salesman years ago, and now I am a software developer that worked on CRMs built for dealerships. I asked for a reasonable price based on real data.
I took my same offer to Keyes Honda and the sales manager agreed to my price after 3 texts.
Also, your salespeople need to do some market research. Most people walking into the dealership know what car and model they want, I don't need three people asking me the same qualifying questions "what do you like about the CRV." I like it because Honda sells over a quarter million a year and is reliable.

I had been in contact with David Cho for a few weeks prior to purchasing and he was very helpful and patient when answering all my questions. On the day I actually came in, David made the entire process very easy without pressuring me to make any instant decisions. So I drove two hour to purchase a Honda Civic, I look at it and test drove it. Everything seemed fine but when it was time to purchase it, I informed them that I already have a check (an approved loan check) from my bank the sales rep said that he would still need to pull my credit because of the type of check I have ( from Navy Federal Credit Union), my response was it didn t make any sense because I recently bought a car from another dealer and they didn t need to pull my credit , I could understand a back ground check, but not a credit check when I already have means of financing my purchase. So I asked for the manager. The manager came over gave me a hand shake and sat down, he claimed it was company policy to check my credit because the type of check I had, I refused and he slammed my check on the table, slid it over to me and said he can t help me then and walked away. This was by far the worse experience I ve every had with a dealer I ve owned over 10 cars in my life so the process is not new to me. Someone coming into a dealership does not need their credit pulled, in fact if they needed it pulled they would have arrived with a check.

Bought two cars here in the past. Both times the sales were pushy and difficult to work with. If you know what you are doing though, you can work out a good deal. Well, never again. They will never get my business for a third car, nor will they from anyone I know thanks to Rick. He tried all the typical tricks on me, and I know them all. I had just bought a car the other day for my wife and worked out deals over the phone with over half a dozen dealerships. The worst ones operated just like this. In the end, the best dealers were up front, eager to win my business, gave me good and accurate quotes, with some kind of incentive to buy from them. Rick would not give me a price and then when he did, even though I gave him all the info up front, the price shot up. I asked for a customized quote and he texted hours later with the general promotion numbers listed on the website. Subaru was able to give me an accurate quote and we worked out all the details quickly, without hassle. Rick at diamond honda proved he was completely uninterested in making the sale as he offered zero incentive, nor any kind of deal at all, and, in fact, ignored my texts when I finally came around near the dealership. He had nagged me for awhile to come down and then when I was just around the corner - silence. This is for a guy who's already paid in full for two cars from them! Honestly, the headache is not worth it. It never was. Avoid this business outright. They are duplicitous, manipulative and eager only for those customers they can cheat.

We walked in hoping to get a deal by leasing 2 cars in the same time. Even after about 1 hour of negotiations, the sales manager offered us a deal that was higher than Honda's website. He was being dishonest, thinking that we did not do our homework. The next day, we leased both vehicles from Costa Mesa for several thousand dollars less while adding prepaid service and roadside. Last month, my parents took the car into Diamond Honda to get their oil change. After making them wait for 1.5 hours, they were told that the oil change could not be done because their prepaid Honda service package would not be honored. After completing their oil change at Costa Mesa, they were given a list of all of the dealers which were suppose to honor the service package. Diamond Honda was on there. I would advice everyone not to shop nor service vehicles at Diamond, unless of course, you have money and time to burn.

Worst service ever . I took my car in for an oil change and ended up leaving without my car. They told me they found a transmission fluid leak and definitely was not my fault. That was my only car and they didn t care to help . They only got me a rental for 3 days wen my car was in there for like half a month or a little longer . I had to figure out how to get to work . They wouldn t keep me updated until I started calling them . Also the manager from service Pete Nelson was so unprofessional and rude he was talking over me when I wanted information on my car therefore i had the worst customer service from him. I would always take my car their but never again.
