Paid several thousands of dollars for a system that has never worked. Salesman quit company and has apoligized for the lack of training that his installers hadnt recieved which has created a system that has always had several things wrong. Owner even came and installer never came back to finish issues. My system has been attempted to be serviced by these guys over 25 times in 2.5. Avoid these guys at all cost!

Corey came out and installed our security system for us. He did a great job with everything and didn t mind explaining everything that was involved with our system. He was very personable and customer focused; I also appreciated that the supervisor stopped by to check in as well. Excited to see how our new system works.

Great experience with the company. Our installer (Hugo) was very helpful and explained every detail about our system. Great communication about arrival time and length of time to complete service. Would highly recommend using this company for your home security needs and stay away from the national alarm companies that price gouge and make you afraid to love in your own neighborhood to sell you more services. Be sure to ask for Hugo!

DFW security system is the greatest. While I was out of town my air conditioner caught fire my security system alerted it and I we were able to stop it and shut it down. There for saving my home and all my personal things. Thank you DFW security. On a sad note I had to shame the insurance company because they don't give us a discount for using the security system even after it has proven itself.
Thank you Hugo for resetting our system now that our repairs are done.

Okay, I've had DFW Security for a while now. I have had to use the warranty 3 times and 2 of the 3 times the technicians were not prepared. This last time, every time the tech needed to communicate with the manager or support center he had to use my cell phone (not acceptable or professional, in my opinion of course). I had them remove a device from my system because they wanted to make another inconvenient appointment to MAYBE make it work. I will be looking for another provider once my contract is up. It really is to bad that I had to give them a star to be able to give you a review. Thanks for reading and good luck!!

Service is fine, not great, just fine. Until you try to cancel. Read the fine print or you ll find yourself in a contact that never ends. It s shady and they clearly know it.

DFW Security installed their system today and we are extremely satisfied with installation. The technician, Dustin, was very thorough, friendly and helpful. He was very particular on placement and appearance of equipment and left all areas clean. Also, Jenifer and Josh in the office were very helpful in setting up our installation and service.

Larry came in to connect my garage and he did a wonderful job. He took the time to explain to me what he was doing. I ask about my panel because it was not connected to the internet, he told me that he could do that while he was here and he did. Once he finished he noticed that I didn t have glass break protection in my house. He explained to me what glass break was and the benefits of it. He installed those for me. He was very patient and explained everything, tested everything to me. Larry is a genuine person that cares about people and their safety. Thank you Larry for all you did today. It is very much appreciated. He was also early and he gave me a courtesy text to see if it was okay to come early. Very respectable. Thanks again

Our Technician Larry was Amazing! He was very professional and explained all of our alarm security options before we proceeded with installation. Just gonna say this Carefully consider installing DFW Security in your home. It has been nothing but a headache!!! I had a technician out on Tuesday to fix everything for a third time, they gave me a five hour waiting window FYI, and I am STILL having problems. I had to call tech support yet again and replace batteries that were supposedly replaced on Tuesday. I don t understand this company s unwillingness to do things right the first time, nor do I understand the lack of communication between customer and company. The features they are offer are wonderful, and when they work they are helpful. I just can t get past paying $70+/month for a service that doesn t work the way it should 80% of the time or a service I m having to fix myself more times than not! So disappointing.

Larry with DFW Security was top notch. The company gave me a window of 10-12 and he was at our door at 10am on the dot with a text 30 minutes in advance letting us know his time of arrival. We have newborn twins and Larry was respectful enough to ask if he needed to where a mask. Larry came in and got to work. Very impressed with his knowledge of the security system and over the top customer service.

The entire experience was very smooth and easy. I called on a Wednesday, scheduled installation on the following Saturday, and had everything explained so well that I had no doubt or question in my mind that I chose the right home security company. I wish there were more stars to give!

Very detail oriented and knowledgeable about product

They sold my contract! We have had DFW 2 1/2 years. Now..not. Out of the blue transferred my service to "Select Security". I have news. I did not "Select" them at any point. I will be proceeding with a cancellation and possibly further action. Breach of contract possibly.
This is not good business and will discourage anyone from doing business with DFW Security.

Technician was knowledgeable and courteous while answering questions about the installation and how the system works.

He was very patient speaking with me while I was distracted by work and trying to make the best decision possible about our system. I highly recommend this company!

The system has been installed ~1 month. One or more of the smoke detectors have required battery changes 4 times since installation. This results in an audible notification sound from the master panel...rather annoying when it doesn't seem anything can be done to make the audible notifications cease. In my phone call to DFW yesterday (being for the 3rd instance and being my 2nd phone call to DFW), an appointment was arranged for this upcoming Friday (a 2 day wait) but in the meantime I was told steps were taken by DFW that the annoying audible notifications had been disabled. Then this morning, the audible notifications returned (this being the 4th instance of low batteries for the system in less than a month) which will result in another ~30-60 minute phone call to DFW's helpline.

I've seen no noticeable difference in the equipment and service compared with Vivint. I've seen no difference in the service compared with Time Warner/Spectrum; the equipment differs in that Time Warner/Spectrum's control panel resembles a tablet.

DFW required a 36 month commitment. At this rate, I will have changed the batteries in the smoke alarms ~140 times and ~3 to 6 days total on their helpline.

Fantastic service, quick to troubleshoot and replace defective equipment. Your tech got us up and running with new doorbell cam in no time. Looking forward to continuing our service for years to come.

As a new Business customer and Existing Home Customer, i give this company 0 star. The sales rep was unreasonable and didn't want to put the extended warranty that we both agreed upon on the contract and brought lots of excuses that this is a general agreement. He was so rude and unprofessional. The sign up should have taken only 5 minutes instead of 2 days worth of texting and calling. I will go and cancel my home service with these guys as well and DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM AT ALL.

Hugo was fast and explained everything that he was going to do. He took extra time to explain how to operate the system, log in via the computer to change settings and add users. I would definitely recommend him and DFW Security to anyone looking for a home security system.

All there reviews on maps say great and amazing same with on their website. They do have a local number. When i received a call back today and i answered and said im sorry im busy at the moment can i call you back later. I got asked well when can we call you back. I said im sorry i cant talk at the moment. The guy on the phone says well what do you do for a living.

Overall a great experience. From Collin the sales rep to Larry R the installer. Walked me through the process and cut my monthly service cost in half with more features than I had with my old service. Will recoup my upfront cost in less than a year. And start saving from there. Thanks.

Dfw has great service. Larry the installer did a fantastic job.

Took a while to get all the prep work complete but we were converting fire and security for 5 bldgs and 3 contractors to DFW for all services on the entire campus. Looks like it's going to be much better service.

The DFW technician, Son, did an excellent job diagnosing the issue and explaining how he would fix it. He also did a great job going over settings and explaining how to make adjustments to our system.

I just had my house broken into and I just needed some peace of mind. I read the review and thought why not. I do have peace of mind over my house not getting broken into, but not with them. Too many lies. Don't go with them they just want to do a sale. Go with someone that will be honest from the beginning or you can fine better options without getting yourself into a 3 yr contract. Lean from someone else's mistake. I have to deal with it for 3 yrs you don't.

The installer, Hugo, arrived on-time, was meticulous, and very professional. After completing the install, he gave us an in-depth walkthrough which we really appreciated.

The system (security + automation) has been in place about a week now, and all is working as expected. I'll update this review in the coming months/years as our contract progresses and the equipment ages.
