The technician assigned for the install was on time, very polite,efficient and did an excellent job talking me through the operation & functionality of the system. He also explained how to operate the system that was so easy. I am looking forward to my experience as a new customer.

Larry advised me of deficiencies in what I currently had in an alarm system. Many of those words of advice could be life saving. I chose to take his advice because we hoste many guests at our place!

Larry was very polite and knowledgeable. He shared each step he made in upgrading my system. He always asked before he moved anything to give him space to complete his tasks. He walked me through the panels, confirmed the garage door opening and closing and walked me through the deadbolt lock.

Update: When I wrote the review below, we had not yet discovered that both our upstairs and downstairs thermostats were installed incorrectly. The air conditioning is not connected, so we can only get heat. Thankfully, temperatures won't be high this weekend or else I would have to leave one star instead of two.

Everything turned out alright by the end of our installation, but we had to spend significantly more money than what we initially agreed upon in order to get our entire home secure. An initial home visit by the sales person to assess the layout of the house is absolutely essential, and they "only do that as a last resort".
The installer was friendly and knowledgeable, and I don't blame any of the issues we encountered today on him. A walkthrough on the part of the salesperson, Mark, would have informed us of difficulties in advance, and we could have problem solved in advance without the pressure of the making decisions on the day of install.

DFW Security is a very professional group!
I worked with Mark in the office who explained in detail what I would be receiving regarding service and equipment. I feel like the costs involved were very fair. The technician, Justin, arrived when he said he would, and worked very efficiently doing a complicated installation. When he finished, he took the time necessary to explain the many features of the system.
I highly recommend these pros! Thank you!

I am a long time user of DFW security for my home. Great equipment, response time, and pricing. I love them so much that I had security systems with cameras installed at my church. This has reduced our need for physical security. Alarm.com provides the equipment and are the best, the state of the art

Mike Luinstra did a great job in designing my security system and the placement of our cameras. He has stayed with me through out the entire installation process and afterwards. All expectations were met and the app is easy to use. I had many security companies to choose from, I glad that I selected DFW Security. Ask for Mike if you decide to go with DFW Security.

I originally gave DFW Security 4.5- 5 stars (based on the tech). Now, I'm giving them 1.5 stars. It seems like I'm calling them every other month to discuss my front yard cameras. Last month, my husband placed furniture outside for pickup. We've been questioning the system's performance; so, we wanted to see if the camera will capture the person picking up the furniture. To be clear, no one stole the furniture because we did place it outside for whomever wanted it. However, if this was a case of a true robbery, we would not have been able to provide any descriptive information. I called DFW Security twice (within 24 hrs). The first rep stated I had exceeded my video limitation (which turned out to be untrue). The second rep was more helpful and walked me through changing my settings (this was maybe the 5th-6th time I've called regarding the settings and I haven't had the service for a yr). It's becoming too tedious with changing the angles just to capture what's needed. Once you've exceeded the usage for the month, the notifications stops. I want a system that's less of an hassel and want cameras that captures what's needed. I feel like I'm paying for a system that's not beneficial. As of today, I do not have anymore video storage (it's been this way for about 2 weeks now). I'm uncertain as to how the storage left so quickly. I will go in "again" and change my settings and hopefully the cameras only capture what's important (people in my yard or people approaching my front door).

Just wanted to take a minute and let everyone know how impressed I am with DFW Security. Dustin (who was assisted and training Michael) came today and knocked out our install. We can t say enough great things about him. From start to finish we have never had a more professional install from anyone in the past. He was friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and the list goes on. I enjoyed hearing that it s a very close knit small company. I would recommend this company to anybody hands down. There is a reason they get such great reviews!

Harry Porter provided excellent customer service during our repair call. He went above and beyond and took the time to explain the issues and how they were resolved. He also spent additional time to explain how we could troubleshoot the issues ourselves.

Even though he was not able to install what was first agreed sold to me he did work with me to make sure I was happy and apologized for the sales team.

In 06/2017 I signed a 3 year contract. In this contract it stated I would be paying the $39.99 monthly monitoring fee plus the cost of the equipment. Even now they have examples of how they supposedly bill for the service. Whether you pay up front for the equipment or take the 3 or 5 year payment option. My monthly total was $63.85 taxes included. It is now 01/11/2021 which is 7 months after I fulfilled my contract and my account is still being charged $63.85. I called to dispute this and I was told to I could negotiate my rate. My argument was that I've been overcharged for several months and I shouldn't have to negotiate the lower rate that I should already be paying. I then requested them to just cancel the service. I was then told that I was supposed to give a 30 day notice b4 my 3 year contract ended if I intended to cancel the service or they automatically renew your contract for a full year. So even if I canceled now I am obligated to pay the full year which now ends on 06/2021. The rep then says they can lower my rate to the $39.99 as if they were doing me a favor even though that is what I should have been paying 7 months ago but nothing about reimbursement for the over charges. So I said fine but for her to go ahead and put my notice of cancelation for 06/2021. Then she says that they will not lower my rate knowing I am going to cancel the service anyway. So they are going to continue to over charge my account until 06/2021

Thankfully I m starting my last year of my contract. I can say without I doubt I will not be renewing. Below are the reasons.

1- they out sourced their payment system then illegally changed the due dates of my bill to where I paid twice in 3 days. This is not written in my contract. I m still deciding if I want to take legal actions. (As a single home owner and teacher, paying a bill twice in 3 days isn t financially something I can do.) I filed a paper with my bank for a fraudulent unauthorized payment so I could get my money back. The company said there s nothing they can do as it would take at least a month to refund my money. (Update: I was refunded 15 days after they charged my account... here is my google review of the funding associates If I could give zero stars I would. I can not believe how unprofessional these people are. Words cant even describe how frustrated I am with this company. They have customer service reps who are very unprofessional and outright rude. As a teacher I have a lot of patience but this is ridiculous)

2- when your alarm goes off it takes them a very long time to come on the intercom to make sure everything is ok.

3- the system says back door open or front door open every single time someone opens the door. It s very annoying and I was told there s no way to fix that.

Just got our system installed and everything is as I was told. Steven the tech did a great job doing the installation and was extremely professional and very nice. Stayed after and went through the entire system and made sure we understood and were happy.

BEWARE ! BEWARE ! BEWARE ! Their customer service sucks ! Our business is closed because of COVID-19. Though, we are paying them every month. I requested to cancel their service but customer service representative was not helpful. She told me to pay remaining 24 months. She told me to move their service with new contract and pay $195.No consideration, no mercy but greedy people. Beware before choosing DFW Security. Very bad experience. Do not even think to have their service again.

We've had multiple issues with the keypad having "signal failures" and waking my family up in the middle of the night. We've spoke to technical support over the phone, have had technicians come out and reset the panel, I don't know what else to do. I know we live out in the country, but the "signal failures" are starting to become an inconvenience. The price is right, the service is fine, but the equipment is a problem.

Jonathan was the BEST!!! He was so detailed and gave such clear directions and information. My husband and I had so many questions for him and he made sure we totally understood the answers and details. I just know I would be disappointed with anyone else now that I ve experienced such great customer service from him.

Also you should know how highly he speaks of the company in general. I feel much more comfortable referring DFW Security to my friends and neighbors now. He has motivated me to do that.

I mentioned I was having a problem with a sensor and he added something to it to fix the problem. The installation tech Larry was more than kind and explained everything to us in detail. He was also at our home on time and gave us a text in advance that he was on his way. We have a newborn baby and he also was respectful enough to wear a mask and take safety precautions. I would highly recommend DFW security any day. They are also the more affordable security companies out there.
