Literally the worst system you can get. It's zwave. This is 2019, not 1999. I kick myself everyday for signing this bullcrap contract. For those of you that don't know what zwave is, it's a technology from the 90s that is useless for what dfw security provides. If you'd like cameras, you too can enjoy glorious 100kilobit streaming action. Yes. 100 kilobit. Everything they offer is utter garbage. I'm stuck for three years now. Learned my lesson. Only reason I'm giving 2 stars is because people tend to ignore 1 star reviews and y'all need to know about this. I went for this because of the Russ Martin recommendation. DO NOT MAKE MY MISTAKE! THEY ARE TRASH. Zwave. Look it up.

Harry was very helpful, professional & knowledgeable. He went above & beyond to ensure that I understood the root of the problem & the solution.

STEER AWAY from this company. They try to entice you on the benefits and costs but then position a THREE year contract in front of you. When we discussed my apprehensiveness with a 3 yr contract as I cannot and would never proceed with such a long-term commitment, I was reassured that they would work with me based on the circumstances. EXTREMELY MISLEADING and IMPLY that they will work with you.

Nine months later, I informed them of my move out of state and they said I would have to transfer it to someone else to have them take over my contract. In other words, "sell their services" to someone else or pay out the full 3 year contract. That was not discussed with me and it certainly is not a way to work with you on options should life events take place. I am taking legal action and reporting their practices.

While the owner responded that this is how they recover their costs of the equipment. NOT TRUE. They needed be ensure that I had previous equipment that would simplify their install to use the existing baseline. Otherwise I would have to pay more. Also, I told them my equipment sensor to my door was not working...CRICKETS on their end. Finally, I told them to pick up their equipment as the new owner does not have ANY interest. They said they could not approve that as of yet. PICK up YOUR Equipment and close out this relationship in efforts of keeping some sense of BUSINESS INTEGRITY. Your customers are NOT THE PRIORITY. STEER AWAY from this company.

Furthermore, the owner does not confront these issues directly with his customers shamelessly responds only to reviews. THAT IS A TRUE SHAME and a clear representation of what matters.

Truck number 10 was out on 377 today, riding in my blind spot, tailgating other drivers, and texting while driving.

If this is the safety standard this company endorses, then I'll pass.

why did it take y all 12 minutes to call dispatch after my parents alarm was set off? Thankfully it was a false alarm but imagine if it wasn t. That s unacceptable...This is why I did not renew my contract with y all. Your wait time and call time sucks. I m surprised you even have business at this point. One time it took y all 9 minutes to call when I set mine off.

The Whole DFWSecurity process was made simple from talking to Lindsey and getting started with the paperwork, and Larry was very helpful in explaining the whole system and getting me set up.This is a system you pay to own, and not like the other security systems where your always paying monthly and never stop paying. Thank you so much to the whole DFWSecurity Team!!!

Corey came to my shop today for some security work, he was very knowledgeable and very kind. Worked efficiently to get the job done and I am very satisfied with the work done. Thanks again for coming by and doing some great work!

Very knowledgeable and friendly technician. Explained options without being pushy on the upgrades (some of which we bought anyway). Great at explaining the new system and how to manage/control it. Tapped right into our existing wired system and created wireless controls - pretty cool. DFW Security products and coverage are a step up from our old, traditional system, and we re still saving money from our precious basic plan with our old security company. Very happy so far!

I was refered to DFW security for my alarm system in my house. What an awesome experience when I called in told them what I needed for my home. My salesman was so professional and polite. He started to tell me what they had to offer on there equipment and plans. Then started to put me a package together that would work for my house. He started telling me what they had and the low rates of their services I couldn t believe it was real. I found an honest company that wasn t trying to get in my pockets and not give me what I was paying for. The equipment doesn't work most of the time. When you call, they leave you on hold, then want to wait 4 days to service the equipment. No accountability what so ever. Don't waste your time or money on this place.

DFW security is very easy to work with. Their technicians are always helpful and reliable.

Great service with Harry Porter as my technician today. He upgraded my alarm panel and explained instructions on how to use everything on the panel and the app. I ve been using DFW Security for over 5 years now and have no complaints.

We had ADT for quite awhile and the rates kept increasing yet I never heard from them and if we set off the alarm to test, the response time was not satisfactory if at all... we were able to get a much better rate with 3 cameras from DFW Security and when my wife accidentally set off the alarm I was immediately contacted and I was able to shut off the alarm with the app on my phone.. I strongly recommend this local security company to all my friends and family.

Had a great experience with DFW Security setting up my new system today. Cory was great and spent a large part of the day making sure everything was working and the multiple camera angles were just right. He went above and beyond in getting my new front door keypad lock to fit and work properly. When it was all systems go he patiently spent about 45 minutes tutoring me on the features of the app and the keypad. Based off first impressions I must say I feel good about my decision to switch security providers and upgrade my system. You ll be lucky if Cory does your install with DFW Security.

Hugo was fantastic. Very professional, knowledgeable, and patient through our install. My husband had ordered the system set up but was at work that day, so there were plenty of times I had to call him to see what he had in mind about placement of cameras and other equipment. Hugo was able to take what my husband had in mind, combine it with the structure of our home, and perfectly place the equipment. Our system has been fantastic. We are completely satisfied with our service and feel our home is well protected!

I have had DFW security since we moved into our home 3 years ago. I have always had exceptional service and never had any issues. Fully personalized systems and the pricing is right in line with other companies. Highly recommended.

Great value, you can go as basic or upgraded as you would like. Larry was extremely friendly and explained everything thoroughly. He made sure I had everything figured out before he left. Highly recommend!

As a new Business customer and Existing Home Customer, i give this company 0 star. The sales rep was unreasonable and didn't want to put the extended warranty that we both agreed upon on the contract and brought lots of excuses that this is a general agreement. He was so rude and unprofessional. The sign up should have taken only 5 minutes instead of 2 days worth of texting and calling. I will go and cancel my home service with these guys as well and DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM AT ALL.

Larry was our tech. He was very knowledgeable and helped us problem solve any issues that came up during install.

I spoke with a rep for DFW Security, he was very knowledgeable and spoke at length about his product and what I needed for my security needs. He spent about an hour of his time on the phone with me explaining and answering questions on their product. Well, I let him know I had to talk to my wife before I made any decisions that would put us into a long term contract. That's where the call went bad. He questioned my integrity. He gave me a hypothetical situation. He asked what if he could offer the equipment for free, would I give him a decision right there. I told him that would be nice but at the end of the day I had to speak with my wife about it. That is when he actually said that he was just trying to catch me in a lie by offering me the equipment for free and make a decision at that time without speaking to my wife. I would expect a business to respect my house rules when it comes to making decisions that will affect myself and my wife. At that point it was clear that I would never do business with anyone who handled their business in such a way. I found another company who gave me the respect to speak with my wife first.

Justin was excellent in his knowledge of the product and his explanation of all my options. Including having the touch panel be mobile and not have drill into the walls. I appreciate him not up-selling me. It may the process extremely efficient.

Just had new smart security system installed from Dustin and Marcos. They were excellent and professional. They set up the system and provided excellent instruction on use and available modifications.

Feel like I am actually getting what I am paying for with DFW Security and not just another customer of a big security system company that likes to raise rates every six months and only offer basic security options.

Extremely pleased and feel like I have protected my family.

I recently went with DFW Security at my business as well. Michael came out and did a complete install in the business. Now I have my home and business linked to the same app and have the comfort of being protected by DFW Security.

I ve had service work done periodically on my system and each time my tech was personable, knowledgeable and updated me on any issues that need addressed.

Great customer service, prices and security service. Installer is cordial and professional. Will highly recommend!

Stay far away from this company. They tell you on thing when you call to setup service but when you move and can't get their service at the new location, you are stuck, despite what you were told. Have emailed multiple times and never receive a response. They give the people that advertise their product a bad name. I will never recommend them to anyone and make sure others aren't scammed.

Great service so far. The install tech was knowledgeable and kind. He got things set up and old equipment removed safely. He sat down and taught me how to use they system and even made friends with my dog who is typically quite fearful of workmen in the home.

Our tech Dustin was amazing! He was extremely professional and walked / talked us through every step so we knew everything about our system! Our sales guy Mark was also wonderful- worked with us for several days to get exactly what we needed!

on 2/6/17 I signed a document canceling my service with DFW security. On 3/4/27 they deducted a monthly payment from my account. I called them to ask why on that same day and was told it's because of when I cancelled. I was told my money would be refunded to me in 7 to 10 days well today is 3/16/17 and I haven't received a dime. Beware of this company they will still deduct money even after you have signed a document stating that you are not renewing your contract and cancelling your service.

From the initial meet and greet to the install, I had a great experience. All of my questions were answered, and many without me getting the chance to ask. They know what they're doing and having a local company and a face to it makes a huge difference!

The technician extremely helpful understanding and knowledgeable. Came on time. System is easily to use.

I've had smart security for a year now, and function wise it's been fine, but today's interaction ruined your company in my eyes, I will not recommend you guys going forward.

We replaced our front door and in the process lost the magnetic part of the door sensor. So I called to see what can be done about it, the replacement would cost me 70$ and a tech to come out would cost another 95$. Over 160$ to replace something that i was able to get working again by using a simple fridge magnet temporarily. So I hit Amazon to get a true replacement myself, a 2gig sensor and magnet costs 17$.

This is insane on so many levels. Buyer beware, the price for entry is very good, and you get a lot of "free" stuff, but know they will get your money later.

Edit 10.17.18 - 2 months later and no one ever reached out to me for this.

Larry came to install our system and he made everything really easy. He took the time to instruct me on how to change the batteries. That was nice. He also wore a face mask, super nice! Thank you Larry.

I would highly recommend DFW Security. I had used other security companies previously and had learned to have a very low bar in terms of the experience with technicians. But Hugo, the tech for DFW Security, was knowledgable, efficient, and courteous. He didn't cut corners, and he actually improved my system for the better - when it would have been easier to leave it how it was. Additionally, the features on the system are top of the line, and the price is better than what I've seen from other companies. Highly recommend.
