I bought my fxdf from them a few years back and was very pleased with the experience . Jerry was my sales guy and he's now sales manager . In all the many bikes I've bought from more different dealerships thank I can count over the years since around 1978 , desert wind , formerly Chester's , has been. One of the. Best as far as customer service and professionalism they are awesome. I will definitely head there for the next new bike again . The customer service is excellent!! As a woman it is difficult to be taken seriously at most motorcycle stores. At Chesters I did not feel intimidated or small. It was a warm and pleasant experience. I will continue to go back for any of my motorcycle needs!!!
Jerry went the extra mile for me. Jerry, Travis, and the Sales Manager worked together to get me the bike I wanted at the price I wanted. Excellent service all the way around. The experience I had with desert wind has to be the worst interaction I've had with any Harley dealership by far. There is an entire story that can be written about the terrible service given by their "service" department. Short story is: don't trust anything anyone says. Purchased an XG750 Street from Marlon, had an excellent experience with him. I had a fuel pump problem and they took care of it quickly with the help of HD Headquarters. I have had great service from them with all the add ons I have put on the bike, they have put stuff on as it came in and they are very communicative with updates as issues come up or are resolved. Great team with a good atmosphere, I just love this store and its people. Excellent customer service.
I really didn't get my service guys name. He does have a beard though. I love you guys! It might not be as big as Scottsdale Harley, but definitely feels more like family. Will be bringing all my family's bikes here and buy from you. Great company.

JJ, Lou, and Aaron took extremely good care of me. They took the time to explain the work that I went in to get done, as well as did extensive troubleshooting on an ongoing problem I ve been having. Their customer service from everyone including George and Carlos was exceptional, and waiving the warranty deductible is an excellent way to ensure I will definitely be back.

Just took the rider course and bought a 2020 sportster. First bike! Really good experience from all departments, from the academy, clothing, and sales! Everyone is very nice and Devin helped out a lot when I picked a bike!
We couldn't find an upgrade for my Sportster, but that was due to my having a lower inseam of approx. 25". Beautiful bikes though.

Road my HD SG Special down in October. Put it in storage for the winter. Called on a Friday that I would be in on Monday to pick up my bike.
They had a shuttle pick my up at the airport. Shuttle driver was on time and really nice guy. Got to the dealership. Service had my bill ready to go. All service I requested was completed on bike. Shuttle driver pushed out my bike, all washed up and ready to go.
Overall it was a really good experience. If you are a CDN looking to store you bike in Phoenix or need service work, I recommend this dealer.

Mark and Trina were amazing instructors at the riders course. I highly recommend this class. They both have tons of experience and knowledge with motorcycles and can help the first time rider build confidence or help sharpen the skills of a veteran rider. My husband and I went to Desert Wind Harley to look at a motorcycle my daughter was excited about and we met Joey. We all talked for a while and looked at some other motorcycles because they sold the one my daughter liked. I saw a 2019 HD Breakout and my husband sat on the motorcycle. He was hooked!! We left that day so we could discuss everything and my husband came back the next day. Joey was willing to travel to my work to make sure I was comfortable with everything before we signed anything. Everyone at the dealership was so accommodating and willing to help. It was truly a great experience thanks to Joey and his team!! If I could give more than 5 stars I would!!! This place is full of great people that will bend over backwards to sell you something. On the flip side this place is also full of people that after they have your money will do little for the costumer. In May of 2013 I purchased my 1st Harley form Chandler HD competitor Chester s HD in Mesa. The bike was beautiful complete with all the bells and whistles (exhaust, baker 7 speed, apes, k&n and power commander). Even better yet, was the dealer offered what was advertised and sold as an extended warranty that covered all the extra bells and whistles one catch I would have to pay a small $50 deductible every time to took the bike in. Well after about 2 weeks of owning my new bike the gremlins started to appear. Well I m sorry to report HD fan s if you purchased the extended covers everything warranty plan it doesn t cover much.
About 1 1/2 years ago Chandler HD started showing up at my work where we have local vendors bring their products one site to advertise to the employee s what they have to offer. I meet with Chandler HD rep and shared my story and all the troubles I had dealing with Chester s HD with my purchase. He told me that I could take the bike to any HD dealer for warranty work and assured me that if I gave his shop the opportunity his service department would get my bike moving in the right direction and stop marking her territory. Well I took the Chandler HD rep up on his offer and back in 2014 I began taking my bike to Chandler HD. I would like to give you all the hope that Chandler HD sales rep was going to make good on what he was out selling during his visits local businesses. But truth be told my bike is back in the shop waiting and the phone calls with excuses is starting to pile up again just like the bill the stacks up way past the $50 deductible. Below is the list of times I have taken what was going to be the freedom on 2 wheels into Chester s 1-5 and Chandler HD 6-? During my last 23 months of owning the bike 3 of those months have been visiting either Chandler HD or Chester s HD service department.

2. Bike ran rich smelt like fuel was running out of the tail pipe
3. Oil leak primary
4. Oil leak shift leaver
5. Exhaust tip and baffle fell off the bike while going down the Loop 202
6. Oil leak and main bearing

9. Bike backfires through air cleaner Oil leak tranny main bearing Oil leak clutch cable
10. Bike backfires through air cleaner , Oil light on and died on Glendale and Loop 101 during bike week.

Responded to an ad online. The next day I get a text saying a sales person Kaitlyn would like to call about my inquiry and could she give me a call. I was busy and didn't respond. Two hours later I get a call from this Kaitlyn and she asks when I can come in. I live in North Phoenix they're in Mesa. I said probably not this weekend and she started going in about a some I would get if I did, basically store credit for parts an nd gear. I said no thank you many times. 2 days later she calls back trying to get me to come out this week. I finally had to tell her i find hey very pushy and I would not be buying from them.

They are high pressure sales and like to force signature on documents. They are not straight forward in their dealings with customers. Would never refer or recommend to anyone! John In finance talks in circles and says he cant remember but says he writes everything down on paper. Terrible business practices. Puts a lot of junk fees in their loans and over charges you for the bike. If I could give them a 0 star I would.

I was driving by the Desert Wind Harley-Davidson location on the 24th of May in the morning when I saw their workers lined up on the curb outside of their shop. When I looked closer, I could see their hats off and hands placed over their heart, and were reciting the Pledge of Allegiance. My experience with buying my first Harley at Desert Winds was great. Larz wanted to make sure I bought a bike that was right for me and that I was 100% satisfied. Great salesman. The only reason I gave 4 stars is it took nearly 6 hours from the time I walked in to the time I rode out. The majority of the extra time was spent waiting to get in to see their finance guy. Next time I will have my own financing lined up.

I am on my 4th Harley. My 2018 Ultra classic needed an upgrade. I called all the dealers and shops. Not only was DWHD the least expensive they asked questions no other dealerships or shops did. From service ( Adam, Greg) Mechanic (Matt) Parts (Carlos) where all willing to take calls, send pics and recommend parts either needed or I was told where not needed. My upgrade was a S&S 124 kit. Best service experience I have ever had.

I traded an older Dyna in on a much newer Heritage at Desert Wind recently. My experience with Jerry in sales was nothing but enjoyable. Even though I pretty much went in knowing what I wanted to do, he was totally professional and I never felt any pressure to do something else. He answered all of my questions in a straightforward manner and showed me features on the new bike that I hadn't even asked about. I felt completely at ease with him during the transaction.

The contacted my husband from Mesa, Az for 2, nearly 3, weeks promising him a trade in deal with no down and a guarantee he'd ride off on a bike. He just had to get there from NW Washington State (Silverdale, on the Kitsap peninsula). So these weeks of calls every other day if not daily, dozens of texts, emails, etc bombarding my husband. They finally convinced him. He scraped together everything we had left for the month, borrowed against the upcoming month and away we drove. Over 23 hours, sleeping at rest areas to make sure we got there. GUESS what, Darren, and Dallas, and the rest backed out of every single promise they had made. All except one salesman who works with my husband and I treated us like we had pooped on their new shiny shoes! They left us outside waiting until closing after another fake promise then left us standing as they locked up shop and drove away. Knowing we risked all we had based on their promises! So do not trust them. Them to add salt to the wound, weeks later we get a call from one of the customer care people wondering why we didn't go to an invitation only dinner event they held and specifically invited us to. Funny, the sales people never mentioned it to us!
