Desert Wind Harley-Davidson Review

After a not so good experience at Scottsdale, I wasn't looking to buy another bike soon. But I went into DW for classes and ended up checking out bikes. Marcus White helped me look at a few and make a decision on a bike I still have and enjoy. Scottsdale was in it just for the sale, and never hear anything back from them. At DW, they let you know all the time about events and other stuff. Great experience with Marcus and I'll buy my next bike from him for sure.

The service department at Desert Wind Harley ROCKS!!!! Lou Biron is a great service manager and can always figure out what is wrong with our bike when no other dealerships can. It's a bit of a drive for us but very well worth it. Lou and JJ especially are the best to work with. They get the job done with the utmost quality, friendly service and professionalism.

Love the sales lady bought more then I planned on because she was so helpful.

Mike Hargrove and Jim Branton were the best instructors for the riding class. They were very knowledgeable and helpful with the class. Their life experience and knowledge helped me get through the class and help me choose a bike soon

Love these folks....Jerry in sales knew better than I did what I was looking for. Travis made the financing happen. He was a little green throughout the process but he made it work. Carlos is parts knows exactly what he's doing and he knew what would match the bike. Service is awesome as always. They make buying a new HD fun. The sales manager rocks too. This was all his idea on the bike to upgrade to. I have been here before and I will definitely be back. On a side note last weekend when on a ride I had heat stroke. I stumbled through the doors and these guys took awesome care of me and my friends. It's truly like an extended family. I highly recommend to anyone. The ladies in the HD store are freaking great too. Pretty soon Jessica can join us on a ride. M8ke that does the training Academy is also great and Gavin sold my friends a couple bikes last weekend. I recommend the Desert Wind Harley-Davidson family to anyone. Be safe!

Bought a lemon and Harley sucked money for repairs!

Staff always friendly and knowledgeable. They are the best, from sales, clothing and accessories, parts and service. I would recommend to everyone. There are closer Harley Davidson closer but the staff at Desert wind AMAZING

I had the opportunity to stop into Desert Wind Harley Davison and was amazed by the whole experience, they had a great showroom with tons of sweet rides. I meet an employee named Chad, very knowledgeable and helpful with all my questions, which also made for a good experience.

Marcus & Marcus were really great helping me get the bike I wanted. Good experience I d recommend them, just make sure you get the bike that you want.

When I walk into Desert Wind I feel like I have come home. They want to make sure you get the best bike for you. That's the honest truth.

I first went there and had Mike's riding course which broke a ton of bad habits and made me a much better rider. Then purchased my first Harley there shortly after. Pam in rentals is always willing to chat and help when when I need a loaner. Travis made upgrading my sportster into the dyna I had my heart set on a breeze. Started working with JJ in service who clearly wants to make sure they get everything correct and dial in the bike just right.

There are so many more people I could rave about but you have to experience it for yourself.

I attended their motorcycle riding class in preparation of buying my first bike and I highly recommend doing this if you're a new rider. Honestly, I think everyone could benefit from taking any of their courses!

I bought my Iron 883 Sportie from Jerry and the boys and had them lower her since I'm a 5 foot tall woman. I've since added a seat with backseat and plan on purchasing saddlebags next. Regardless of whether I buy something or not, every time I go in they treat me well and even spoil my son with treats. I've gotten riding apparel and my helmet from the girls in the clothing section and been invited to ride with them on many occasions.

I've been informed that DWHD is under new management so hopefully this review will continue to be accurate, so far I've not seen a difference in their high standards of customer service.

Love this dealership!!! Friendly people and they bent over backwards to make sure I was able to get the bike I wanted and that it was perfect upon delivery. Got a better than I expected deal too... My salesman was Gavin. He was very knowledgeable and the first offer presented was fair and reasonable. They act like they want you to be HAPPY customer. They are now my H-D dealership of choice.
Now after a year later, I can still say I love these guys. I've owned 13 new Harley's and nothing can come close to the service, sales, and parts departments of the dealership. They are by far the best!!!

As a resident in the Phoenix valley, I have many choices when it comes to H-D dealers. Desert Wind is my preferred dealer for parts and accessories. The guys behind the counter know what they are talking about and are always very helpful.

I was visiting AZ again and i was looking for Chesters HD that I had visited in the past. come to find out that the ownership had changed. I had an awesome experience with Jo and Darbie in the clothing Dept. I would revisit this store for sure just for that reason. I also had a conversation with Travis about the new 2017 bikes, which they had 2 on the floor.

Sales Fit Specialist Ray and Assistant Sales Manager Marcus went above and beyond to get me the best deals and work around my needs.

I am very impressed with Jerry and everyone else that I came in contact with was great... I live about 2 miles from a different dealership but I feel that people at Desert Wind made it worth the extra drive.. Overall had a great experience at Desert Wind and would recommend them to anyone looking for good service and a good deal on a motorcycle..

Amazing! I walked in and was immediately was approached by a young man named Joshua ( I pray I got his name right..I'm so sorry if I didnt) I was told he is new there and Wow! I spoke with him a bit, told him I was looking for boots and he walked me over and showed me a pair he said " looked like me" and he was right! THEY are AWESOME and MINE! LOL. GREAT JOB!!

I brought my bike in for repair under the extended warranty and received an expected delivery date that was good. But I got a call the next day telling me it was finished! Not only was the difficult problem fixed but an intermittent problem in my headlights that I hadn t remembered to tell them about was also fixed!! The sales department also exceeded my expectations for a new bike!!

I have the prepaid service contract and brought my 2012 Ultra Limited in for the 1000 mile service. They got it in right away and I waited for it. The service was finished about 30 minutes after the estimated time which was no problem. They did a great job.

The staff at desert wind where great. I could not be happier with them. I purchased an 2007 dyna of them, in 2007 and was a great experience then. I just purchased a 2016 road glide and could not be happier as i said. The troll who is internet sales really did a great job, and i truly do feel i made a new friend here. I went up to there dealer from about a half hour south of tucson, It was well worth it. I would recommend desert wind harley davidson to anyone who is looking for a good harley purchasing experience. About half of the people are great, ok customer service, ok service department. I know some workers who moved from this location to Scottsdale HD which tells you something. I bought my bike here 3 years ago and only bought spark plugs and air filters since even that's a little hard to do. I prefer Chandler HD.

This is my husband's 4th motorcycle in 10 years....this is, by far, the best experience we have had to date. Justin was AMAZING! Real people person and knew how to keep a conversation going in between paperwork during our, incredibly short considering the request, 2 hour time at the dealer. "Chad explained the pros and cons of an extended warranty on a 2010 model HD. Despite it's age, we could still purchase an extended warranty for a couple of years. It does ease the mind when repairs arise."

I want to give you a background first so you can realize why I feel Desert Wind went above and beyond my expectations. I was told I could never ride again so I sold my last road king. (This one is my 4th if you count my FLHS). After 4 years I finally said screw it for there are 2 rides I still want to do, Route 66 from begging to end and Laconia.
I live in Northern Az 3 hours from Desert Wind. I went to my local deal and he had nothing that I wanted. So I traveled to Las Vegas and went to the dealers there. All they tried to do was rip me off. I wanted low interest short term loans and al they would give me was 72 month 8 percent which I know was a joke. HARLEY you wonder why you sales are down try looking at your dealer network.
So I decided to try Phoenix. I called Desert Wind Harley and spoke to Brent. He not only was able to put me into a Harley but he was able to get me a new Harley instead of a used with the interest and term I was looking for and WIth the help of Derick went above and beyond my expectations. I was so impressed with Desert Wind I will be traveling there for all my services. I highly Recommend Desert Wind and because of them you will see me on Route 66 in July. This wouldn't of happened without them. THANKS GUYS

Parts countermen rude , service department acted like they were doing you a favor by talking to you. Inside floor staff too pushy on sales. Good bike selection most were overpriced.

This is THE Harley shop to go to. The staff is amazing, and will go out of their way to make sure you have an amazing experience. Ripoff artists. Bought a used Road King, 5,700 miles, took it in for oil cooler install. They called to warn me rear tire HAD to be replaced, cause it was 10 years old. Took it to an independent repair shop, who laughed, said the tire was 4 month old and date stamped. His words were "Chesters is a total bunch of $ signs and scam artists" I'd have to agree.... And this isn't my first HD, or first horror story.
Headed to Indian for 5 year warranty....

I have been in the industry for a long time. I sent my Uncle over to Chad on a new Street Glide. He handle the sale very professionally and I will continue to recommend anyone looking for a great experience on buying a Harley Davidson. I bought my Harley here, a 2019 Harley Davidson 1200 Sportster. I also took their rider course. The staff was absolutely fantastic, very friendly, no pressure and very patient. I bought .y motorcycle from Marcus, and I took the riding course with Mark Weiss. The friendliest Harley dealership I have ever been to.
