Place is crawling with staph ( MRSA) do not let them do blood work. Really, their practice ( more like experimentation) is with un proven drugs that may or may not work. Side effects are up to you to manage. Pay only happens at end of study which might be months and they can drop you from study at anytime and you don't get paid. I concur, it is a waste of time and effort.
waste of time.. I used it a few times...and was once a nice place to earn some extra money.. but they are very picky about studies now.. and my friend got hepatitis from blood work there.
I would skip the derm research exit..but if you do, lock you car and put valuables in trunk.. the only redeaming feature is it is next door to Luby's..which should give you insight...into the whole scene.
I arrived for my scheduled screening appointment 5 minutes early and spent 25 minutes filling out paperwork before being told by a nurse that the doctor could not help me and that my appointment was a waste of time because they had filled the last position for the study.
They tried to "make up for it" with $25 gift card like this is Olive Garden or something, but that was just more like a slap in the face.
This was after two phone calls and an email to confirm my appointment.
The lack of regard for your personal time is high.
Communication and planning seems to be a weak point for this office.
Overall, the Dermatologists, Nurses, Clinicians, and Front Desk are professional and friendly.
You are left to manage your own symptoms.
I am towards the end of my 14 visit Atopic Dermatitis study.
My right hand itched a lot during the study, but according to the study rules, I could not use my Eczema skin creams.
I saw an improvement in my Atopic Dermatitis towards the end of the trial from the anti-itching pill.
The study paperwork explains pretty well how the study works in detail. Also, any questions you might have are answered quickly.

I participated in a research study every early morning for a month. It was tough, but that's only because I'm not a morning person. These folks made it super easy; they were friendly, they were informative and forthright, they were helpful when I asked questions about my skin, and they paid me like they promised at the end.

I'm in a 9 month study for Toenail Fungus, so far all is great. Docs, techs and staff are all great! Place is clean, accommodating and a pleasure to visit, hoping the treatment works!
Well it turns out I'm in a 14 month study, I'm not going there... Study didn't work to alleviate the to jam, it's research. You will need to stay on top of them about your compensation payouts, other than that it's been great.
The schedule was flexible, the staff very professional, and they were always very responsive to any questions I had regarding the study I was in.
